This UPS is very close to my home so it's my primary place for shipping items quickly. They have a very small area up front with shipping and packaging items for sale like tape, bubble mailers, bubble wrap and boxes for decent prices. Like a small thing of packaging tape is about $4.50 and a roll of bubble wrap is $7. They can package your items for you or you can do it at home and bring it ready to go. They're a main hub now for Amazon returns and they have it down like an art. You can bring the items and they'll take care of everything and just scan your UPC code. Easy peasy! I've mailed a lot of items here over the years when I go through bouts of buying or selling loads of stuff and I've never had an issue. Most of the staff are friendly enough and even if the line is long they go pretty quickly most of the time Bc they have three registers for accepting packages and they do a good job of keeping an eye out if someone is waiting someone will come from the back to help you if a register is open. They also offer printing services and mailbox services so you can have packages that need to be signed for there and mail delivered like a PO Box. I've been here a few times to have items notarized which is great since they're open much later than standard banking hours and it's faster. I'm glad this store is here bc it's only 5 mins away and so convenient. read more

This UPS store is located in the Red Mill Commons Shopping Center in Virginia Beach. It is visible from Upton Dr. If you come in at busier times, parking can be limited right around the place. My most recent visit here was on December 2, 2020. I have been in here several times, but this is the first time I've been here in over a year. When I came in on this visit, there were a few others in here. They do have markings on the floor to keep a 6 ft. distance between. Staff are wearing masks and customers are required to wear them before entering the establishment. I don't remember seeing any hand sanitizer, but I wasn't in there long. After waiting about a minute or so, a staff member was ready to assist. This visit was really an in and out, as it was a package that was already prepaid, so it was just a matter of dropping it off. One thing to note is that when dropping off, they don't give you a tracking label, but they will let you take a picture of the tracking number of the label that's already on the package. This is probably a change due to the pandemic. Overall, I've had good experiences here, even when I needed to have something packaged and shipped. They also do printing, you can rent a mailbox, etc. as well, though I have never needed to use any of those services. At least they have them if you need them. If you're in the area and need to ship something via UPS, this is a solid place to have any packages or other services offered rendered here. read more

I don't use shipping to often but when I do. I just pop in and get it done. They are close to my house and to other places on my list I need to get stuff at so this is my number 1 store. They are fast and they usually greet me as soon as I step through the door. She scans my stuff. Asks me if I need A receipt . I do . She prints it and I am on my way to my next errand I need to get done. They offer shipping bubble wrap, boxes and bags and can help you ship whatever you need. They have a small selection of cards. It is a basic store. Like I said I am not big into shipping a lot of stuff so it is simple and meets my needs. read more

I've used this store for years and I've always found everyone friendly. Today I went in and was helped by Thomas. He asked for my id which I don't recall ever being asked for in the past, I've always been asked for my phone number and to verify my name and address. Anyhow I didn't have it and he rudely said "well how do I know it's you? I need an ID to verify. My name is Thomas, but what's my last name you don't know." Seriously I wasn't rude I just stated I didn't have it and proceeded to give him my information as I've always done. I understand that may be the UPS policy, I just haven't had anyone ask or if they did it was with my credit card and I didn't realize it. Either way being nice goes a long way. I'll be using a different location now on and I'll make sure I have my ID. Maybe Thomas needs a cup on cheer for the holidays!! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS UPS STORE! I always pop into these stores when I have things to mail. I usually email the label and it costs anywhere from .10-.25 cents to print the label and I leave the package to be mailed. This store charged me 2.13!!! $2 to email the label!!! That's insane. The package I shipped costed $3 and was a $6 item. There is an office max in the sale strip mall. They charge .12 cents. I usually like the ups stores because they are smaller but geeeeez. read more

Today was the second time I went to this store to ship things to my Air Force son. This first time was great, superb customer service and the shipment arrived on time. Today was even better. Extreme professionalism and courtesy, efficiency and effectiveness. The young lady that took care of me did all of these things with a smile on her face. Sadly, I neglected to ask for her name; her name tag simply said "in training". Keep up the good work miss! Management, she is definitely a keeper. read more

Overdue review. Passed by this location and it reminded me of the horrific experience that customers should be aware of when deciding if their own experiences with staff are dismissed for being an off day or if it's personal. Seeing the common experience here all share a link and it shows me that the negativity trickles down from ownership to junior staff. Details: On moving to a new home without internet installed, stopped here to print a document. Insert my debit card to the machine. After several attempts, it became apparent the computer was faulty with a black print screen, a frozen internet browser with my personal email logged in, and consequently still accruing time charges on my card that was inside the card reader. I asked for assistance from two separate clerks that weren't successful in getting the system to work after a recent system update. The second clerk, Josh, says, "Yeah, I don't know." I asked for a refund of the charges to my card for approximately 10 minutes the clerks were on the computer. Josh says, "No; it's store policy." I jokingly pointed out that they saw firsthand it was not user error and a known computer malfunction. He nastily said, "I'm indifferent" and walks away to return to his spot behind the counter after some noticeable huffing and grunting. I asked him why the attitude for asking for a legitimate refund. Instead, no answer and I'm left standing there. Keep in mind, the store was not busy this entire time. Another clerk walks past coming in from outside and I asked them for their assistance. They go in the back and an older man comes out in a very bothered and angry demeanor before I could even get a word out. He gives me a look from head to toe and asks me what's my "problem?!" This man is, in fact, Tracy, the co-owner of the store, but I was not told this until afterward. I explained I would happily pay for the service if I got the product, but given the computer malfunctioned and his employees lingered with my card charged, I need the charge reversed or refunded. He also huffed and puffed as he shifted his weight around. I asked why the type of treatment over a computer issue. He gave no answer, walks away, heads to the till and grabs money, comes back and literally drops it in my hand from a good distance above. I asked him again why the awful treatment. He responds, "I gave you your money, now go!" My instincts told me (a) sexist or (b) racism issue. I go outside and decide to return inside to ask for this man's name since a few were in the reviews. He hesitated and then with attitude says, "Tracy." All of this for asking for employee assistance, a refund, and a name. As I leave the store, he follows me to my vehicle and proceeds to verbally and physically assault me. I had eye witnesses from the neighboring T-Mobile store see that as I told Tracy he had no justification for his behavior other than racist motives, Tracy replied, "IT's NOT ILLEGAL!" On search of this location, one eye witness had already left a review of their experience. Somehow it was removed but not before I took a screenshot. During the midst of this exchange, I let Tracy know I am a local homeowner and affiliated with the military community and would make certain this experience was shared to spare anyone a similar discriminatory and traumatic experience. Tracy's response: "IDGAF!" I know this is a sensitive subject, but as you can see, I am compelled beyond my own reasons of civil rights, safety, and consideration for the local community and consumer impact that this experience is shared with you to remind you that you have a choice of where to support local businesses. horrible customer service. Two people working and not acknowledging the long line of people, all I had was a drop off package and they said you cannot drop off without scanning. The other UPS do not require you to wait around. After waiting 10 minutes I went to the other UPS store at Courthouse marketplace where they simply took my package and I left right away. read more

I wish I could give zero stars here, but I believe the issue was the employee not the franchise. I sent my teenage son to ship a small package and instructed him to tell the worker that he needed guidance. His treatment was sarcastic and degrading and he left feeling deflated. A simple couple of instructions on the best method to ship would have way too easy for this lady I guess? My son walked out and was pissed. read more

Awesome, great Customer service! I needed to ship a package and was worried about it arriving on time. Tani, the manager said she would help me do what it takes to get it there on time. She was courteous and friendly the whole time. She made me comfortable about getting the package out in time. She repackaged my box to prevent it from getting damaged. I was impressed that she took the time and care to make sure the package would make its delivery. Great Customer service! I came in on a Friday morning to ship a small 2.5 lb package overnight from Virginia Beach to northern Virginia. I made it clear that I was shipping medications that a family member had left behind and they had to be delivered the next day - Saturday. The prices were unbelievable ($90 to get it there in the morning and $50 to get it there by the evening). I took the evening price. When it did not arrive on Saturday, I looked up the tracking number and learned that it wouldn't be delivered until Monday. I looked at the Parcel Shipping Order I had signed and it clearly stated UPS NEXT DAY RES and that MEDS were being shipped. But AFTER I had signed and paid for the order, the clerk pasted a receipt on to the back of the shipping order. In fine print that I did not see at the time - the receipt said that the expected shipping date was Monday. I was crystal clear that the package had to be delivered on Saturday. Overpriced and unreliable. The crazy thing is I could have used the Post Office. read more
