I had a pleasant experience here. My husband stops here ALL the time when he needs to mail something from FedEx bc it's one of the closest spots for drop off items since the Office Max closed a few years ago at Red Mill. I needed to drop off a pre-paid package and was emailed an updated shipping label on the way here. I called and spoke to someone who said they would print it but it was $1 - rather pay that then go back home. I came inside - emailed it to them - they printed it - I paid my $1 and they added the new label to my package. Told me pickup from FedEx was 5pm and sure enough, it was scanned and started moving along at 5:11pm that day. Staff inside were friendly and I also asked about buying stamps and was able to purchase a set and choose from one of three designs. No issues for me - seamless! read more

I am stunned at the way this place conducts business. I stopped mailing my gifts to family from this place after learning they tack on a disproportionately large charge in addition to what USPS, FedEx, and USP requires to ship something. I would gladly pay the surcharge if they offered a guarantee on shipping speed, arrival, etc. Nope, "follow the tracking number on your receipt, we don't have anything to do with how and when it ships." Their surcharge literally includes printing your label, putting it on the package, and giving it to the carrier who comes to the store. I stopped using them for this service. Today, I wanted to simply buy a book of stamps from them. $18 for 20 stamps!! That's over a 32% increase from the post office! I went to Harris Teeters right next door and paid $14. Save your money and go to Harris Teeters! Save your money and go to the Post Office! Or FedEx! Or UPS! All three are within 2 miles. I will never use this place again, nor will I recommend this place to the many other military families who ship a lot of items to far-away family. DO BETTER PAKMAIL! read more

My sister and I parked in the 15 minute parking spot (12 other spots are open as well that have this sign) this morning right in front of this place. As we walked out to go next door, a woman who worked there came out and barked orders saying "that's a 15 minute parking spot, are you going to breakfast?" Yes we were, we saw that sign as well, we can read. We had the intention of moving the car within 15 minutes. Just going to check out the menu for the place next door, it was our first time there. I don't need to explain that to her. This spot does NOT say "Pak Mail Parking only" She was very rude worker! Mind your business, literally! read more

F this place! I have used PakMail in VB for many many years (since 2009) and today is the last day I'll ever use them. They messed up an address zip code on shipping and my package was returned to me after spending the $$$ to ship it. They told me the didn't know what to do and because I was show the address to verify that it is MY fault. That is insane and I will NEVER use or trust PakMail again ever! it's THEIR job to make sure address and zip match. it's what they do!!! maybe update your systems to double check and don't rely solely on the customer to study what someone else types in. Omg I am just so mad! They could have simply reprinted the label and re-shipped it. They are too dumb to even know if they are allowed to do so. I would give them zero stars if there was an option. I had a package I needed to be shipped by a certain day and paid extra for this service and the owner refused to refund me. I would have used the postal service and paid less but I wanted the convenience of a store like this. They had the nerve to charge me for stamps when I went back to complain. I figured I works get my money back and buy a pack of stamps on the way out. Instead, no refund plus they had the nerve to charge me for stamps. I wont ever do business at this place again. I've been to this Pak mail many times and the lady working there has always been nice and professional. I believe it is a family business. Well today I went to fax some paper work and the treatment that I received was horrible. He faxed my paperwork and I paid. When I stretched my hand out to get my change, he threw it on the counter. Wow! He stated it will just take one minute for the conformation to come through and he walked into the back. When the conformation came, he said it went through just fine and he threw it down on the counter and told me to have a nice day. I will take my hard earned money somewhere else next time. Great location. Easy to park and run in for quick service. Friendly employees, especially Kathy. Very knowledgeable about different shipping choices. Mail your letters/cards there-the postal carrier picks up every day at 2:30pm-for the current schedule. Very convenient and always a good choice for in and out service. Have met the owner and she was very nice and friendly. Great selection of greeting cards -very cute and funny, always brings me a good chuckle. Also, they have post boxes for rental. Always a good experience when visiting this establishment. Easy to locate on London Bridge Road near General Booth Blvd--at the Strawbridge Marketplace in Virginia Beach. Having just faxed some important papers using this facility; it was pretty quick to get my confirmation that my fax went thru. Overall, it was a great experience! If money is no object, and it's all about convenience, then this is the mail center for you! I went into this facility for the first time recently to mail a package. Their signs say they use FEDEX, USPS, and US Postal Service. I asked the clerk to ship my 8-pound box the least expensive way possible, and she told me it would cost $48! She said that was U.S. mail- parcel post (including the $2 extra I requested for signature confirmation). The price seemed too high compared to what I've mailed in past years at regular post offices, so I declined their service and later went home to research on the USPS website. There's an online calculator where you put in the zip code, weight and measurements of the box... and it said it would cost me $22. So today, I went to a full-service post office, and sure enough, it was $22! So... this place wants a commission of $26 to take my package? No thank you. read more
