There is usually between 1-2 people working behind the counter working. For the most part, they are courteous but slow. The experience I've had has been well so far - When no customers are in the store, they can definitely assist with copying and answering questions. Con - Once people bring more than 2 parcels, you know you're going to have to stand in line for at least 7 min. I needed a notary service late Saturday afternoon, went to 3 places with no success. I called and spoke to Janet, although she said they stop notary services at 4:30, she offered to wait for me. I was so impressed with Janet when I arrived. She took great care of me and my notary needs AND everyone else that came in. She greeted people by name who had P.O. BOXES, mailed out and gave packages to customers. Janet was so warm, efficient and had a sense of humor, all while multi-tasking with ease!! Thanks so much!! read more

I like this store because the service is great! One time I didn't have a functioning printer at home. The employee suggested I log in to my email there at the store and send the docs to their printer. Saved my butt that day! I used the service other times. (Why no printer? Well I just had 3 ink cartridges refilled at COSTCO for a good cost, then learned my printer saw them as not correct brand cartridges afterwards! Strange, as they were seen canon cartridges a day earlier, but after refill they were not recognized as such. My favorite employee there has a cool name like Missy? No something else. Went to have some documents notarized. Of course on a Saturday, the line was out the door and they were busy. Totally understandale. My issue was that after waiting for my turn in line, i had to still wait for the one guy that was the notary to finish up with a pair of indecisive customers and their shipping price quotes. I suggested maybe they could switch since i was already waiting over 20 mins. Seems like the practical customer service thing to do but of course thats not what happened. The employee just ignored me when i suggested that. After waiting 5 more mins i ended up leaving without getting my documents notarized since i had somewhere else to be. This location doesnt understand the value of a customer's time. read more

I walked in and stood there and waited because no staff were in the front of the store. Once staff came out from the back, no one greeted me, two ladies (tall with short shaggy hair) stood there talking about an order for a customer and still didn't even acknowledge I was there. They proceeded with their conversation, by now 5 minutes passed and no one even said a thing to me until one was done with the conversation, walked into the other room to put an envelope down, walked back out and THEN FINALLY SAID, "how can I help you?" Watch out, mark up on shipping charges!! I stopped in this UPS store at 5:30 because the post office closed at 5PM. It is the holidays, so I wanted to get my package out ASAP. After the clerk weighed and measured the package, I was told it would be $26 to ship. The package was only 11lbs and 14x10x10 and I thought that was too high. After telling the woman no thanks, she proceeded to tell me that it would cost me $50 to mail it at the post office. Yeah right. I entered all my data on the USPS website and it will only cost me $15.95 to mail the package. WOW...and then I went to the UPS website and UPS the quote was $23. So, even if I preferred UPS over USPS, there is still a mark up. Good to know...consider yourself informed! read more

Incredible staff! I brought in 6 items to be shipped and needed to print my shipping labels off my Macbook. I could not figure out how to print the labels. Great UPS location!! I drop off or ship packages from this store multiple times per week and the service is ALWAYS top notch and professional. I have complete trust in the staff at this UPS store as well as the UPS drivers for this location!! They also provide USPS services if needed and allow Priority Mail package drop-offs which has proven very helpful and a huge time savings for my needs! I have a home office so I use this location as my business address. I have had a mailbox with them since 2003 and LOVE the service. The store is family owned and they treat you like family when you visit. My mail is always organized, packages never lost, and my shipping is quick and easy. I am in their system now so when I ship, it's fast and painless. I also get email/text notices when a package arrives so I don't have to track my packages or drive there unless I have something waiting for me. One thing I REALLY love about this location is their staff. I can always count on seeing the same faces. They know my name and mailbox number so a lot of times, they pull my packages before I even get to the counter. I have used other UPS Store as I travel around the country but haven't found one with this level of care and service. read more

This UPS store in Bancroft (countrywood shopping center) is the best UPS store I have been to. The ladies who work there are always smiling and patient and kind! No grumpy faces even when there is a long line of people waiting too be served. I had to ship a bulky item to overseas this morning and the lady helped me to squeeze it into a reasonable box and did a great job with the whole process! Very happy with this store! I wish I could leave no stars. The employees here seem to have zero work ethic, nor any sense of urgency, even when the line is out the door. I use this place only when I need a notary and I will be looking for somewhere new after today. After waiting on line for 10 minutes, it was finally my turn. When I explained that I needed a notary, I was told I would have to wait another 15 minutes while they took others from the line in order to decrease the length of the line. WHAT?! I have never heard of such a policy. Just more evidence of how unprofessional and poorly managed this business is. read more

I have been shipping with UPS from this location for several years - the people here are nice. The last three times I shipped, the packages ended up costing a lot more than they should have (I ship for my business and know what most box shapes/sizes/weight runs). I asked the girl helping me if the prices had recently gone up and she said "oh yes" and that each UPS location is a franchise and can increase to a certain extent as they please. I won't be shipping from here again. Will be trying other locations and back to USPS. read more

I was in this store yesterday, and was very impressed with the service provided by Dustin Freeman. He was assisting an elderly gentleman with something on the computer, and he was endlessly patient yet not patronizing in the least. In this era of honking horns and instant everything, he gave this customer the time he needed to understand the process. I needed a box for a bubble wrapped bundle, and he came back with it in the correct sized box, all taped and marked with a Fragile sticker. I thought he'd just hand me a flat unfolded slab. I came right before closing time while still clocked in at my current job. When I got there Karen was the one who helped me and answered all my questions ! This is a very good UPS store, so much better than the one on Ygnacio. The staff is just helpful about accepting packages even with pre-printed labels. The Ygnacio UPS does not scan the code while I am in the store, would never offer a receipt for a pre-printed label and is just not as nice as at this place. It's now the only one we go to. I have been there a couple of times and haven't seen it busy or slow as indicated on some of the poor reviews but I guess timing is everything. read more

Otherwise, go to the FedEx Office store on Mt Diablo, or even the USPS on Broadway. You know it's bad when you'd recommend the Post Office for better service. Someone should investigate this business. They are overly priced. I have been having problems with them for quite a long time. Before when it was Boxes Etc it was not that bad. They way over charge for shipping ( when compared to the good old "United State Post Office"). Every one-else (Safeway, CVS, Walgreen, Raley's, the local store etc ) charges the same for stamps as the Post Office except them. I had recieved a package that I "did not " want so I went to return it. This was a reused box from the shipper that had been used "many a times". They told me that "I could not refuse the box " because it looked as though" it had been open. I did explain that the box had been open many times as they could see by the amount of times that the box has been around and the amount of tape on the box from previous shippings but they still "accuse me" of trying to return a box because it was opened. My dear friends-the mailing & shipping in this good old U.S.A. started with the United State Post Office. Lets give the boys a hand keep them working. They do a great job. (No one is perfect) I gave them one star because I had no choice read more
