    So, since Kendra always insisted on walking my dogs in and out of her salon back grooming room with a slipknot leash instead of picking them up, as I requested, I want her to know that Sammy has a nearly collapsed trachea, the size of a straw, evidenced by xray today at the dr office (Care Animal Hospital). When we noticed him having a limp in his right leg. I had gone in to see if he has arthritis or injury (no) and found out my vet's and my suspicion that he had a compromised trachea all along (which I told Kendra) is very true. It's very sad that a groomer would rather see a dog lose their life than care about the dog's well-being and accommodate their special needs. I asked her staff to either put on his harness (did not do) or pick him up (no, would not do). Every single time, I brought him in, they insisted on pulling him in their backroom via slipknot leash, and each time I picked him up, he was back on the slip knot leash, no matter how many times I pled his case. So she should know that it's likely that she's contributed to his collasped trachea condition and he's now on lifetime meds (Cerenia). That's why Sammy was so sensitive re his neck area, and why I kept reiterating the concern re his neck. I think that Kendra does not cater to senior dogs, anxious dogs, special needs dogs, or dogs with partially collapsed (and now nearly collapsed) tracheas. Kendra only does exactly what she wants, not what an owner requests, and you can be sure she'll ignore your requests, even if they write them down. I think it's very important that pet owners realise that while this place makes your dog look good, there are no accommodations --Lori Hoyt (my maiden name) Lori Valentin (my married name)

    I've been bringing my Australian labradoodle here for about 2.5 years now since his first puppy cut and have always been happy with the cut and quality of care for our fur baby. They are so thorough with questions before the cut to make sure they cut as much or as little as I want on all areas and after the cut they have notes of how his behavior and comfort was as well as any findings and concerns. The pricing is comparable to other places and the only thing that I don't like is that they don't have someone covering the phones so to make an appointment I always have to call and leave a message then hope to be available when they return my call or it becomes a game of phone tag. It would be great if they could set up an online booking option.

    DO NOT BRING YOUR CATS HERE! You will leave with a half shaven cat. My cat has never so much as hissed at anyone .. even when being bathed. Over the phone they told me that they cannot finish the job . When I Cam to pick her up the groomer didn't even have the decency to show her face and come out and talk. The receptionist just handed me my poor half shaved cat and that's it !! I just called another place that reassured me that they will gladly finish the half a** job upscale did. Nothing upscale about that place. To add: I asked for video footage because my cat was in so much distress after the appointment. ALSO, her cage door was broken (appears like someone was kicking it). I talked to the owner requesting video footage, which she promised months ago. Never received anything.

    You'll notice every negative review here has the owner making excuses and never an apology! I traveled far and wide to come here because of the good cuts they show online. The place was really pricey and at some point they shaved my dogs leg to the flesh. We didn't notice anything until way later because they didn't say a word about it when picking him up and the wound was on the inside of his hind leg. They also didn't attempt to treat the wound at all so now my dog had an open sore that has been infected. This is what $115 (plus tip) gets you here. Accidents happen, but not acknowledging it made the whole situation unprofessional and dangerous to my dog's health. I understand that grooming is difficult but at least own up to your mistakes so proper immediate care can be taken to open wounds. Avoid this place.

    I'm not one to write reviews but this was an experience that I think Pet owners should be made aware of before they make the decision to take their dog to this business. We had brought our dog "Molly" to them on 3 other occasions and we were previously satisfied customers. All I can say is that we won't be back. Our gorgeous Bernedoodle came back to us looking like a toddler had there way with the clippers. To her credit "The Stylist " called us when they got Molly on the table and said that she would have to go a "little shorter than usual" because of "matting" I was OK with that because I was under the impression that they wouldn't absolutely ruin the likeness of a Bernedoodle haircut. We were told our appointment would take longer because of the amount of time their clients had been away and it would take longer to work through the matting and those sorts of things. Our appointment was the shortest appointment we have had to date. This place is a "pet groomer" part of that is (call me crazy) grooming the pet not just clipping all their hair off. When I picked Molly up the receptionist actually asked me if I liked the ridiculous looking ponytail that was on top of her head. Needless to say when I got home I wasn't the only one dissatisfied with the haircut my children were shocked they said "she looks ugly", "she looks sad". Ok, so on to the main reason I won't be bringing my dog back, I called back to work out getting the top of your hair cut off because the birds nest that was left up there was obnoxious and unacceptable , they agreed and I brought her back the next day. I also mentioned that I would like to speak to the owner to discuss my dissatisfaction. Of course I came on to Yelp to see if I was the only one that had this kind of trouble with the Upscale Tail, sure enough I wasn't and after reading the reviews and hearing the responses from the owner I should've expected the amount of excuses I got from her when I spoke to her. I won't bore you with all the grooming tips she tried to give me but let's just say not once but at least three times she told me" it's just hair it'll grow back" I was pretty clear with her that I was dissatisfied and I didn't receive a single apology, what happened to customer satisfaction being a priority? I wasn't looking for something for nothing I was looking to be a satisfied customer as a business owner it's in your interest and your responsibility to satisfy your customers and that is why I won't be back. It's highly likely that she'll come on here and try to defend herself and say her stylist did what was in the best interest of the pet. I think in all likelihood this place is overbooked and they just do their best to get through their clients by completely scalping off all her hair in the shortest amount of time possible. One last thing the owner said she could actually have gone a little shorter as you see in the last picture she almost looks scalped you can see the pink of her skin really? Shorter? Do yourself a favor and save the $110 extra services haircut and go somewhere else. I don't know what else to say, What an awful experience.

    I was dog-watching a 13 year old toy poodle named Biscuit and decided to spoil him before his owners returned for him. Brought him here where he got the works - pawdicure, teeth brushing, wash and cut, and a green mohawk for some creativity! They did a wonderful job and cost was actually pretty similar to the deluxe packages at petsmart. All the stylists knew their regular customers and pets by name and it was a very welcoming atmosphere. Biscuit seemed to like it more than Petsmart. =) He came out looking fluffy with fabulous paws, and it was nice to find a place to be able to do some creative stuff like colored fur and mohawk. Would highly recommend!

    They do a very good job, so I definitely recommend trying them. There is only 1 thing that you should know, which bothered me a bit. I dropped my dogs off an hour early and they said they were going to charge me $10 per dog per hour. I was pretty upset, but I really didn't know. They ended up not charging me, but it's important for you to know. Otherwise they have a lot of groomers and grooming tables. They seem clean, and nice.

    I've been taking my dogs here to get their nails filed for some time now. The staff is very friendly and professional. They are very patient with dogs that are very anxious, and I have one of those! My dog is very vocal and gets stressed out anywhere we go. The staff understands her and makes her feel safe as well as comfortable while she is getting her "pawdicure"! No appointment needed for a nail/pad trim either!

    I'm not sure what has changed with this business, but our recent experiences have been…read moredisappointing. We initially believed we had found an ideal groomer because this facility promotes dog interaction, similar to a puppy daycare environment. Socialization was important to us, and during our first two visits everything seemed excellent. We were able to see our dog playing and interacting with other dogs on the live cameras, and he appeared to be having a great time. However, during later visits, we noticed a significant change. Our dog appeared to be kept in a crate from the time he arrived until pickup. We raised this concern with the owner, who assured us this would not happen again. Based on that reassurance, we decided to give the business another opportunity. Unfortunately, during the following visit we experienced the same issue. Our dog was not visible on the cameras and appeared to have been crated again. When we addressed this, we were told it was due to a miscommunication among staff members. We were again reassured that the issue had been resolved and would not occur in the future. Today, after not seeing our dog on the cameras for approximately two and a half hours, my husband called the facility to check on him. The staff member who answered the phone was dismissive and did not allow my husband to fully explain the situation. We referenced our previous conversations with Chris, the owner, who had assured us this would not continue to happen. The staff member responded that Chris was not present and stated that she needed to check in all dogs before allowing ours to be cage-free. At that point, our dog had already been there for two and a half hours, which raised further concerns for us. Due to the circumstances and the manner in which the call was handled, my husband informed them that he would be coming to pick up our dog immediately, as we were not comfortable paying for services where he remained crated the entire time. When my husband arrived, our dog was simply brought out and released to him. There was no explanation, acknowledgment, or apology offered. Based on our experience, I encourage other pet owners to ask questions and ensure they fully understand how their pets will be cared for during their stay.
