I just recently moved to Aurora. I took my Shih Tzu in for a haircut. Tabitha made our appointment and did the grooming. She did a great job. The salon is clean, quiet, is easily accessible (on Butterfield, west of Kirk/Farnsworth), plenty of off street parking. The groom was $55,that is the most I have ever paid (her groom 2 months earlier was $45). But as long as they do a great job and my dog is safe and happy, I can live with that. One tip:don't use Google maps to get there. It took me out of the way through a residential area and wasted time. They are in a strip mall at the intersection of Mitchell and Butterfield (southwest corner) next to a pizza place. Heading west on Butterfield from Kirk/Farnsworth it will be on your left.

My dog Mabel is new to Poochie Dog Spa and Jenny did a great job of making her feel comfortable and happy. She did exactly what I had asked and her cut turned out amazing! The staff is super friendly and welcoming and will answer any questions you have. We'll be coming back for sure!

I LOVE this groomer and the fact that they have a 1/2 door where the dogs are getting groomed. It's always open when I go and the dogs are always treated with LOVE and CARE! Jamie, the owner is always super friendly and sweet. She makes me feel good about leaving my precious dogs in her care. They do an fabulous job on both of my dogs. My 10 year old Golden Retriever Rosie, used to get really nervous when getting groomed but now she gets excited when she sees Jenny her groomer. Jenny, is SO good with her and always does an A+ job on her. Tabatha, also does an amazing job on my Cavashon Tucker, and is very sweet. I love this groomer and won't go anywhere else.

Honestly, I know this place sees hundreds of dogs but somehow they always seem so excited to see mine. They are just adorable here. You can tell they truly love dogs & love serving them. It's just the sweetest in the world & they do an EXCELLENT job. read more

The BEST dog spa around!! My dog is a big baby (he's a 90 LB Chessie) and he gets very nervous going to the groomer, so I decided I would try a new place. I picked Poochie based on the positive Yelp reviews. Wow!! This is the place for your fur baby!! Very friendly and super clean spa. Tabitha was our groomer. Otis took an immediate liking to her and she bonded with Otis just as quickly. When I picked him up he looked so handsome and very happy. The best grooming I have experienced within a 50 mile radius. The real test would be when I brought him back. So 3 months later I brought Otis back and he jumped right out of the car, went straight to the front door and went inside like he owned the place. He has never done this going to the groomer. I had to drag him out of the car with prior groomers. Lesson learned - listen to your pet, they know! read more

Our first visit was amazing with my husky. The next 2 were horrible. The second time, my dog was still shedding so much hair and scared for the next week and had a cut on his foot. This third time, my dog is still scared, has been licking his 1 paw repeatedly and his harness was practically choking him and had to be cut off because it was so tight and we couldn't maneuver it to get it off of him. Instead of getting better each time I take him, it's getting worse. read more

I was at the end of my ropes trying to find a groomer that is great with dogs and knows what their doing.. my husband said well I know of a groomer in North Aurora... Poochie Love Dog Spa- Jamie is the owner...even though it's a distance I decided to let him take Maxwell my little Shihtzu... it had been months because the Last Groomer shaved off his tail.. I was So Upset... anyway... Jenny groomed Maxwell and he looked absolutely adorable... the best cut he has had in a long time and he came back happy and not scared... Called for an appointment and they were able to get me in within the hour. Took my dog over for his first ever nail trim. He was nervous and the groomer took the time to sit with him and get to know him before taking him back for his trim. The staff were all very nice. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back! read more

So let me start by saying I have a shy Pit mix who is not a fan of going for a nail grind. Fast forward to the punch line...he jumped up on the table willingly after the little meet & greet with Jaime! This place is WOW my 2 yorkies loved it when I picked them up they were calm and happy . So glad that I found this place. I had driven by and seen a dog spa sign up but didn't think much more. Upon visiting our previous grooming location our old groomer had left and the new groom was average so I thought I would try Poochie Love out this time around. I was happy to discover our old groomer Jamie, who we really liked, had opened this location herself this past summer. Jenny who groomed our Wheaton Terrier was really nice and did an excellent job. Our always nervous pooch was in a great mood when we I picked her up. Our pooch had a cute little valentine's bandana for the holiday too. Pricing is comparable to other locations in the area and I'm happy this is located just down the street from us. The inside is cute and clean and I will definitely be back! read more

My dogs were last groomed by Woof Wash on November 16th which means it's been 3 months. Also, I have my dogs shaved so there is no need to brush them out since any matting would be sheared off. When I asked to speak to the owner, Larissa said that she is the owner. She wouldn't tell me her last name so I am not sure if that's true. I would like to support small business but not one that nickels and dimes me.

I've now been patronising Wigglebutts for a few years in order to save my dog's neck (we suspected…read morethat he has a collapsed trachea--now confirmed by xray) but decided after the latest xray that it was not a good idea to even have him groomed, as I don't know if it will contribute to his very small airway being cut off. Instead of expressing even the least bit of comfort, or maybe ideas of how he can be groomed without touching his neck area, the owner (who has been grooming him every 6-8 weeks for the last couple years and her company groomed him during covid for two years), texted back nothing when I explained he's not doing well, and X-rays have confirmed that his breathing passage is the size of a straw, so now he's going on lifetime meds to try to keep the passageway from collapsing completely. All she did was text back, a day later, "confirmed, cancelled" WOW. I mean, I've been tipping her and paying her $130 for grooming Sammy a total of 4-5 years, tipping her $20-30 each time, and that's the response. I guess every dog and owner is no one to her. Tells me something about the caring inside her soul. I suppose she probably does not want the liability to trim him, but at least some words of comfort would have been business like and appropriate.

As we began searching for local doggy daycares, we were so grateful to find Happy Puppy! We have been regular customers ever since for daycare, boarding, grooming, and training. When we added another furry family member to our household, it was a no-brainer to let her join her sister there for all the fun. Kevin and his team have always been excellent communicators, and they are truly outstanding at understanding dogs' behavior and individual needs. Our girls are elated every time they get dropped off at Happy Puppy! On our most recent trip out of town, one of our girls had a minor injury that required her to wear a cone. Kevin was incredibly accommodating and worked with us to create a safe, comfortable environment for her while she continued the healing process, all while making sure she received the extra TLC she needed. Happy Puppy feels like a second home for our dogs, and we cannot recommend them highly enough!

They are now threatening legal action. I stand by my posts and have not made any false statements. TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE. Don't be sad about my review--be disappointed in yourselves as business owners. Do better. Everything written in your response directly contradicts what I was told in person. You stated that multiple attempts were made to contact me regarding this incident. That is false. No one contacted me at any point. Management only became aware of the issue after I reached out. You also claim my dog was properly cleaned and reference video footage. If such footage exists, please share it--you have my email. His condition upon pickup clearly indicated otherwise, as I spent 45 minutes cleaning feces from his paws once we got home. There is also no reasonable way this could have been "missed." My dog was wearing a large winter jacket that required staff to handle and touch all four of his paws in order to put it on. Staff were taking an extended amount of time before bringing him out, and another employee stepped in to assist with getting him ready. Given that level of handling, it is not credible that feces covering his paws went unnoticed by anyone who was paying attention. Regarding the padding, two staff members explicitly stated it was part of his care due to concerns about him falling as a senior dog. That representation was a key factor in my decision to purchase the Pawdemics service. Lastly, I appreciate the advice suggesting veterinary boarding. However, that recommendation could have been communicated during intake, during follow-up calls, or after I paid for an evaluation. At no point was this raised as a concern. You had no issue accepting my dog despite him being partially blind, deaf, and showing signs of dementia--until after something went wrong. Your response continues to contradict what was communicated to me in person. Again, if you have additional information or footage, please provide it via email. I am absolutely disgusted with this facility and my experience here. I was convinced to place my dog, Tito, in their "Pawdemics" service after being told he would receive constant surveillance and that it would be best for him as a senior dog. I was also promised a padded room for his comfort and safety. None of this was true. The room they described to me is apparently under construction, and instead my dog was kept in a cage with no padding anywhere on site. When I picked him up today, his paws were filled with chunks of feces. I was told he had an accident and that staff had cleaned him up -- clearly, that did not happen. I spent 45 minutes cleaning him myself once we got home. I don't understand how something like this could be "missed." When I raised my concerns, the general manager repeatedly stated that they have other dogs and cannot watch him consistently. If that's the case, why am I paying extra for a service that was sold to me as individualized, specialized care tailored to my senior dog? The explanation directly contradicts how this service was marketed. I asked to speak with someone above the general manager and was told there is no one -- that the owner does not interact with clients. That response alone speaks volumes. This was a complete misrepresentation of services and a very upsetting experience for both me and my dog. I would strongly caution anyone considering this place, especially if you are trusting them with a senior or special-needs pet.

Within just a handful of times of using the daycare service at DePAW (after 4+ years using a…read moredifferent doggy day care, weekly, without incident), our dog got bit and injured by another dog while under the care of DePAW, a bite that tore her ear, damaged tissue and wound up requiring her to be sedated and given stitches. When they called us to tell us about the incident, DePAW told us that another dog had 'overcorrected' ours, when she tried to play with a dog that didn't want to play with her. A professional dog daycare service needs to have the experience and knowledge to separate dogs before this happens - most often bites happen with uncomfortable dogs, not aggressive ones. It's clear that the other dog was uncomfortable in the situation they had the dogs in, and our dog got the worst of it. We feel this was a preventable accident and likely a result of either staff not recognizing the energies of the dogs under their care, or them taking on more dogs than they can handle at one time. A dog who is uncomfortable enough to seriously bite and injure another dog should not be in the same room as a playful dog who wants to initiate play with others. Perhaps even more disappointing on a personal level was the conduct of DePAW in the aftermath, and how transactional and impersonal our interactions with them have felt. When calling us to tell us what happened they never apologized for our dog getting hurt there (I am sure this is a liability thing they are trained to do) and they did not follow up afterwards to see how our dog was doing. We only heard from them after we sent an email expressing disappointment a week later - we did hear an apology then, to their credit. I'm sure we've signed a waiver giving away all of our rights in terms of compensation and vet bills, so we didn't even try to ask DePAW for help with the hundreds of dollars of medical bills we have incurred due to this incident, but they didn't even waive the $35 daycare charge for the day she got hurt. I guess a dollar is a dollar. I don't think I've ever taken the time to write a negative Yelp review when we've had a bad experience, particularly with local businesses, but given this experience I don't feel like DePAW is necessarily a safe or caring place to leave your dog and so for that reason I feel that people should hear our experience. Again, we've taken both our dogs to a different doggy day care for 4+ years on a weekly basis and always felt they were safe and well taken care of by people who were attentive and cared for the wellbeing of our pups. That's not at all how I've felt interacting with DePAW - it feels very much like they care about your dollars, not your dogs. I can't speak to their other services, and I'm sure there are people working here who truly love dogs, but I'd strongly recommend you look elsewhere for safer, more caring and less transactional daycare options.

Attendants seem to have a genuine love for dogs. Our little guy always looked great when we picked him up. I will continue using Cozy Corner for my dog's boarding, and heartily recommend them.

The best dog groomer around!!! For 15 years, I followed Jamie to whatever grooming facility was lucky enough to have her. So happy she has her own adorable pet friendly place now! My Shorty, RIP, would get so excited whenever I'd say, "Are you ready to go see Jamie now?" He loved her and always enjoyed his spa days! Jenny is great my two girls look fabulous after she grooms them . She takes such good care of them as if they were her own. I get many compliments on both of them. I have been going to Poochie Love since they opened. I have seen the dogs that the others groomers there also do and they all look great. They all take great care of all the dog that come through the door. Would not want to go anywhere else. read more

There is a groomer 2 minutes from my house, but I drive the extra miles because of two great things about this place. Jamie somehow made my dog look cuter and more girly. The first time I brought her I jokingly said "I want her to look like a girl," and she actually delivered! More importantly, Jamie is the sweetest person ever. Her love for dogs is genuine. So glad to drive by this doggy salon. Jamie previously groomed my dog Honey and she always did a great job. I have been to other area salons and have been disappointed with their cleanliness and poor attitudes. When I pick up my Brussels Griffon she's happy, looks great and smells wonderful. read more

The ladies at Poochie are the absolute best. My dog Dex is very anxious and hates to get his nails trimmed, they are the only ones who manage to get him done. They are very patient and kind. highly recommend. read more
