Such lovely and friendly staff with reasonably priced pet food, pet clothes, toys, and etc! I didn't know they were a franchise but I def recommend this location due to the helpfulness of all the staff here (: Will def be back for any pet toys and essentials! I got a chew toy and ducky raincoat for my little puppy as she's teething and has an issue peeing when it's raining out. Stuff is rude and sell dogs treats for higher prices. I took 3 bully sticks and decided to try cow tail chew for my dog. The basket I took it from clearly showed $2.99. Cashier asked where I got it from, went to their basket, checked it and checked out it as 5.99!!! When I asked why the price is higher than at the basket, I was told "it's different, the price is higher for this one". I showed her the price tag, and she grabbed it and put it in her pocket. This practice is very common in this store. I had this issue with treats price tags before. Usually cashiers try to resolve this type of problem, but not today. The cashier was rude and what she did is against the law. Store can't put one price tag and double it at the cashier. And after you catch them, try to hide the real price tag. I love this store!!! I came in today hoping that I could get my dog groomed but, unfortunately the grooms were done for the day. I was bummed, but an employee, Jack explained how the groomers finish at a certain time, and booking an appointment is what I should do instead. Jack showed me Urban Pet has self wash stations! Gave me a quick run down of how it works and let me know of a daily deal on Mondays for the self wash. Jack gave me some fresh towels! After his bath they gave my pup some treats! My boy has chicken allergy, but Jack made sure to ask before giving him any. They also helped me out with some food recommendations for my pup's sister. All the workers were so caring and nice, I loved seeing them give the dogs that came in some treats! I had a bunch of questions and I was lucky enough to meet Jack! Jack was very nice, patient, savvy and gave me so many suggestions of what to feed my new doggie, and even gave me some samples for Buttercup to try! I love this Urban Pet location! I love that they offer 10% off for the year if you rescue an animal. The manager is always so friendly and helpful. I had a hard time finding food that my puppy would eat, and he gave me a bunch of samples of kibble so I could find the right one. I appreciate that they take food back if your dog/cat doesn't like it. I also purchased something that broke a few days after buying it and the manager swapped it out for me, no problem at all. I have personally found that their prices for dog food is comparable to what is sold on chewy.com or Amazon and I much prefer supporting a local business. The place is clean, organized, and they ensure everything runs so smoothly. Now that I have a puppy, I'm finding that pet stores have the best customer service. This place is no exception, and they also have the BEST return policy. As long as it is within a month, they will take back even opened bags of food (as long as it's mostly full) if your pet doesn't like it. We registered our phone number, and we didn't even need the receipt to refund an item since they can look it up in their system. This is so helpful for our dog, since she is a picky eater and we have spent so much money on uneaten food/treats. I also like their choice of harnesses (we got a cute plaid one), and all the selection of organic/quality food for dogs. We even found a chew toy that she enjoys, which is a rarity too. All in all, a great place for pet owners to browse through. Very sweet staff, everyone is friendly and helpful! read more

They sell everything from hummingbird feeders to dog food, cat food, rabbit food, guinea pig, parrot food which is what I come here for, my mothers parrots and birds love their bird mixes all natural no dyes or preservatives and full of a good variety of seeds for protein. The store clerks are the sweetest to chat it up with. And if you are lucky you'll catch some of the cute pets the store clerks bring to work with them. What an amazing place! My house is within walking distance. I happened to walk over today and the employees were so nice to explain to me the process of self washing my dog. The self wash pods were clean and easy to use. While I was washing my dog, Foxy, I could hear the groomer, Dede, talking to the dog she was grooming. And she was so sweet to them! After washing Foxy, Dede clipped Foxy's nails. I loved being able to watch her to do it. It made me feel so comfortable...This whole place was a great experience and I will definitely become a regular. read more
