I made a same day appointment for a pedicure and I was so thankful they were able to book me before the long holiday weekend. The check in was easy and convenient. The actual service is where I had issues. I opted for a pink french and requested a square shape. The nail tech filed one of my nails crooked so I asked her to file the long side shorter to even it out. Once the color went on, I noticed the pink tip was crooked and asked her to fix it. Her solution was to file my nail crooked to make the pink tip even on both sides. That really caught be off guard and I stopped her as soon as I noticed what she was doing. I just paid for my service and left, now I am trying to fix it myself at home. I will not be back. read more

A bit disappointed with this place. I called around 1:40pm on Sunday to ask for availability for a full set and was told they had a 3pm appointment. I booked it, arrived right at 3pm and all workers were busy. Two of them looked at each other and then asked me to come back at 4pm instead. We had a great experience at Diva with Helen. It was my daughter's first time getting acrylic, and they were patient and kind with us. She took her time and did a really beautiful job. 3.5 stars for the lady who did my manicure. She was fine. Did my nails, no issues, and gave my arms a nice massage! 1 star (if that!) for the lady who did my pedicure. She was literally the worst I've ever encountered. I pointed out a clump of polish on the bottom left big toe and the fact that the polish on my big right toe didn't go all the way down (you could still see my nail)... she told me that my toes were "uneven!" It was like an Angela Johnson joke, but not in a funny hahaha way! Afterwards, she put my flip flops on my feet, lifted the arm of the chair, and was like, "bye-bye!" I was a little in shock... didn't take down either of their names, but I won't ever go back. Their check-in system is weird too. You pick what you want when you check-in, but then they ask you to pick again when you sit down. Weirdest experience at a nail salon for me! It was difficult to listen to people who were supposed to be focused on me take snd laugh amongst themselves in another language, especially when I was uncomfortable and hurting. While they checked on me, they were only concerned about physical pain. Taking off a previous gel manicure either an electric device that sometimes burned. It's odd getting personal services like hair care, nails, massage without a connection. It's weird having technicians chatting with each other and laughing when I'm excluded from conversation. They had a broadcast device going too, playing distracting commercials between instrumental music. It was one of the least relaxing services I've ever had. This allows me to grow my nails long without breaking while using my personal favorite gel colors of DND Ferrari Red and Mars RedNice decor, nice music, nice atmosphere. Wondering where your favorite nail technician from Lavande in Santana Row went? They're all here. Better quality, better service, better chairs. The selection of nail polish is just as wide. They include hot stone massage with every gel pedicure and paraffin with every gel manicure--No added cost! Even better, their prices are not as expensive as Lavande and often have same day appointments. On top of that, there's a free parking lot dedicated to this shopping center (Bascom Square). All nail technicians take their time to make your nails perfect, and the ambiance is very relaxing and peaceful. Additionally, the whole salon is extremely clean. For COVID-19, there is plexiglass at the manicure stations, they sanitize the pedicure chairs and manicure stations after every customer, and they make sure to sanitize their hands before and after service. You must wear a mask to enter, and they keep the door open for good air flow. I have been coming here for months now, and after searching for a regular nail salon all over the Bay Area, I am glad to be supporting this BIPOC woman owned and operated business. This salon is tucked away in the plaza that it is in. The parking situation can be a little difficult. I recommend calling and making an appointment, even during the week as they have less staff. I come here for a gel pedicure and leave out the door paying around $60 with tip. The staff is very friendly and very detailed in their work. They did take the time to shape my nails and clean them nicely, but they nicked my cuticle and when I left, it didn't stop bleeding until I put a bandaid on it. The polish they used was also much more sheer than what was on the display nail, so it just did not look very flattering, although that could have been my mistake for choosing that shade. Review is during COVID19- getting my car detailed down the street and was killing time by going to the Starbucks. I noticed that the nail place was setting up their outdoor area. Thinking sure I'll get my nails done and I'm so glad I did. First the employees are so nice! They were in such good spirits and just happy to see people. I ended up getting a gel manicure. $40 and in out within 1 hour. You had about three employees with customers and one employee who was constantly cleaning both inside and outside. I really liked their check in system. It was an iPad on a kiosk stand. Contactless check in and they ask you generic questions such as what service you're getting and if you had any symptoms. They did a great job and was very thorough. I really appreciated the effort they put into making the experience the best it can be given the circumstances. Unfortunately my nails didn't last that long as they started chipping away by day 5, but I don't think it's their fault at all. It's not my regular joint but it definitely will be when I get my car done. Will return because I'm happy to give business to these folks. read more

I always get pedis here and my sister got one with me, they over charged her $12 and she caught it and called them out which they then adjusted the price correctly. A few weeks later I go to get my wedding nails done( took 2.5 hours) (picture inserted) and left with a $74 bill for dip powder, almond shape with some white lines. When I asked for a price breakdown, the owner didn't make sense saying they charge $5 for shaping. I asked to show me where on the menu does it say this and she laughed saying " its not there, your just supposed to know that" well isn't that fraud to charge me for something that's not on your price list? She she gave me the $5 off for that. But even everything else didn't make sense! This could have been my spot, but I can't stand being cheated like that. I really enjoy coming here and this has been my go-to for a few months now. The staff has been super sweet every single time and has always been able to see me as a walk-in. Plus I LOVE the pedis here with the hot stones massage. Unfortunately, the last few times I have come to get manis done, the top coat has become stained brown within the first week. I am NOT doing anything different than I was the past couple of months. I'm wondering if they changed their top coat brand? I had a manicure done about 1 week and a half ago and it's already stained. I don't want to have to come in every single time this happens to have them file off the top coat. I'm pretty disappointed since this is not even a French manicure (the first time it happened). It's a blue color WITH glitter that is now turning into an ugly brown color. The ladies at Diva Nails on Bascom did a beautiful job accomodating my sisters and my request for candy corn themed toes. We got the House Spa pedicure so that included sugar scrub, paraffin wax, and 10 min massage all of which were lovely. The candy corn layers took a little time and we both LOVE how they turned out. It was $10 extra for the special design but I only get a pedicure every 1-3 months usually, if I am on the ball. NOW, however, I am pumped to go back for a Thanksgiving theme and a Christmas theme so what the hek, I'll end the year in pampering style There was a mixup on what time our appts were scheduled for but that was probably on us. It took longer than usual due to that but not their fault. And my toes make me smile whenever I see them so WORTH IT! Bottom line, book your pedi at Diva, they rock :-D read more
