As a kid my father was a PBA bowler and we would travel up and down the west coast hitting up all…read morethe bowling alleys along the way-so since I was a kid who had little interest in bowling,I spent a crazy amount of time in the arcades at these bowling alleys. So began the lifelong love affair with pinball machines. You can imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon this bar/gaming room with the funny German sounding name when I realized it was a glorified pinball arcade room that also served beer. This place is straight amazing-50+ of the greatest pinball machines are available to play. They do use the "game-card" system to pay for these games, which can make playing these games way too easy-games tend to cost about $1 a game in game credits to play, which is far more than I paid when I was an 8 year old kid but then again, that was 45 years ago. They have a pretty solid beer selection-beers tend to go for anywhere between $7-$8 a beer-not too bad in my opinion.Though they do offer a pretty unique item called "Das Boot" which is a pretty large boot that cost $40 and comes with a fill up at time of purchase and 20% off on future fill ups-though not sure what the original cost of a fill up is exactly. One massive upgrade I've learned in the pinball world is nowadays you can download an app by Stern Inc,the majority manufacturer of most of the popular pinball machines and you can register your pinball play and it will keep tabs of everywhere u play and all the scores u achieved on the various pinball machines-I really enjoyed this feature-I only wish they had this when I was in my prime of pinball play when I was a youth. This place doesn't have the best hours but I'm sure there is a reason for these hours-M-F the hours are 5p-10p and on weekends they open at 12p... In closing-If you ever find yourself in the Rocklin area and you get a yearning to try out your pinball machine skills-I couldn't recommend this spot any higher as they are a very unique spot offering a truly awesome experience-a trip down memory lane for some and a whole new world for the younger generation-You should get out there and have some fun. PS-I failed to mention this place is very family friendly-on my particular visit the place was flooded with kids from elementary to high school age honing their pinball machine skills and enjoying every minute of it.

Games are very clean and in excellent playing condition. There's also Stern leaderboards visible along with their own leaderboards for solid state (older) games, which I've never seen anywhere else. The whole space is clean and welcoming. It's loud, but that's because it's a pinball spot. The staff are super friendly and provide great service. The mac n' cheese bites I had last week were freshly prepared (from scratch), cooked to order, piping hot, and totally delicious--and also under $10. The beers and ciders on tap are all mostly from small, local makers and under $10/pint. They also have plenty of NA drink options. If you're a pinball person, I dare you to find a more accommodating spot for playing and vibing out. If you're not a pinball person, this is a great place to fall in love with the game.

Coming on a Wednesday was a spectacular move, because D&B offered the 50% off standard arcade gameplay. This discount was amazing, because it allowed me to play games even longer than visiting on any other day. They recently included Sundays for this deal as well. I enjoyed a plethora of games without any issues with the machines. I played Top Gun Maverick, Pac Man Skee-Ball, Air Hockey, Super Bikes 3, Tailgate Toss, Connect 4 Hoops, Monopoly, John Wick Continental Pursuit (overall favorite arcade game), and so much more. My entertainment needs were truly fulfilled. After many rounds of arcade games, I finally went to the WIN! store. For the prize selection, I got a purple iridescent D&B shot glass (1.5oz) and a small bag of Albanese Gummi Bears. I have nearly 5k tickets on my card leftover. My goal is to save the tickets as much as possible to cash in for a better prize. Lastly, I visited the bar area. I ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri. The bartender, Ben, made it with perfection. The service was excellent and fast. Overall, this visit was beyond great. I will continue to return to this D&B's location in Roseville, CA.

Spider-Man in 3D?! Yes, please! We decided to catch a showing here in Auburn, and the movie was…read moresooo good! I highly recommend seeing Spider-Man in 3D! What an awesome experience... the 3D really made the action come alive! But as much as I could talk about Spider-Man, this review is really about our experience at the theater itself. This is definitely one of the smaller theaters I have been to, but it was easy enough to get in and check ourselves in. Since we were seeing a 3D movie, the glasses were available right at the check-in table, so we simply grabbed a pair on our way through. After checking ourselves in, we stopped by the concession stand. They had the usual movie theater snacks and drinks available, but we only grabbed one soda this time. This was really our only interaction with an employee before the movie, and then we headed into Theater 6. Theater 6 was pretty small, not necessarily that particular theater, but once we got settled in, it definitely felt more cramped than some of the larger theaters I've been to. There aren't any reclining chairs either... and maybe I'm just a little spoiled, lol, but I've definitely gotten used to those! That's okay though. The theater was clean, which is always something I appreciate, and we were comfortable enough to sit back and enjoy the movie. The 3D experience itself was great, especially for a movie like Spider-Man. There's just something extra fun about watching all that action coming right at you! The drops, the heights, the action... makes you kind of hold your breath when they're coming towards you. Other than our quick interaction at the concession stand, we really didn't have much interaction with the staff. On our way out at the end of the night, one employee did tell us to have a good night, which was a nice way to end our visit. It's a smaller, more basic theater that gets the job done. I wouldn't come expecting the big, spacious luxury theater experience, but if you're in the Auburn area and looking to catch a movie, it's a perfectly good option. While other movie theaters were packed, this one had plenty of open seating for a last minute movie date... If there was a movie you wanted to experience in 3D, Spiderman is that movie! Go! Just do it! If you've already seen it, it's ok! Just go again but DO IT IN 3D!!!! (I know quite a few people who have seen Spiderman 3 or more times, lol, and they say 3D was the best way to watch it)

Eventually all the Guests were able to return to the respective auditoriums to finish seeing their different movies. My auditorium for Song Sung Blues had fifty four Guests! Best of luck to your movie house. Best of luck to your employees! Best of luck to your volunteers! Get Axed in Roseville is a wild, well-run good time -- think beer-pong-energy targets, tic-tac-toe projection games, and enough illuminated targets to keep everyone entertained between throws. The staff are friendly, informative, and actually helpful with coaching throws and explaining the games, which made the whole experience way less intimidating. You can order cocktails (solid pours) and snacks -- another party got a stack of pizzas from Costco and the place handled it like pros. Bathrooms were huge and spotless, which is always a relief. The space is cozy and wooden, so yes, bring your sense of adventure. I left with sawdust in my hair and a grin. Photos attached show the games and the menu -- great spot for a rowdy date night or group hang. Go with friends, wear something you don't mind getting a little rustic, and have fun. 1) Axe lane and illuminated targets -- bring your A-game. 2) Tic-tac-toe projection -- more competitive than it looks. 3) "GET AXED" beer menu -- drink options for every palate.

Follow Get Axed Roseville on Facebook or Instagram: @getaxedroseville There is no cover charge to dance. Locally established line dance instructor Jen Michele teaches 3 dances over the course of 2 hours, and dances are called in between lessons. She will call out the steps for the first couple walls for the easier dances. The floor is not wood. The dance floor space is an odd shape: a small square area in front of the DJ then overflow into the walkway from the front door to the first axe-throwing lane. I would say it's the shape of a key or the state of Oklahoma. You won't always be able to see the instructor, so you will have to listen carefully to the steps, copy the surrounding line dancers, or wait for her to move closer to you to demo. After 9 PM, you can make song requests to the DJ to get your favorite line dances called. You'll need to provide the name of the song to the DJ because he's not a line dancer. If you fear a zombie apocalypse, there are 9 reservable lanes to hone your axe throwing. Each lane comes with its own reserved table. There are 12 digital axe-throwing games. This would make for a fun night out with friends. The rate is currently $10 per person per half hour. You can reserve for 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. There is a rate discount for 2 hours ($35 per person). You can also find Groupon deals to save money. You can also purchase Membership Passes (5 hours for $80, 10 hours for $140). You can also book 2 hour parties for a minimum of 15 people at $20 per person. Get Axed Roseville has a new game room with 4 pool tables, darts, a bocce ball court, shuffleboard, and a terraball table. In addition, there are 18 TVs. Thursday nights at 7 PM is Trivia Night. There is no cost to participate. Maximum of 6 players per team. Axe throwing is only $20 per person for two hours. Get Axed has a 4 page menu of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. The menu changes monthly. Great selection and variety at affordable prices. I like how the beer menu is organized into different flavor profiles, such as Nutty, Fruity, Sour, Roasted, or Malt. Beer and beverages (i.e., soda, nonalcoholic beer, energy drinks, Starbucks, sparkling water, iced tea, coconut water, Gatorade) come in cans or bottles. You can also purchase various bags of potato chip flavors there. For a fun and affordable afternoon or evening activity with friends, check out Get Axed in Roseville. It's located in the Nugget plaza on Pleasant Grove Blvd and Fairway Dr.
