Just had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at the Veranda. What an experience. The food, service and beautiful grounds were top notch. We tried the breakfast burrito, Del Ray omelet, fresh fruit and the amazing beignets. They didn't bat an eye at accommodating my allergies. Our server Amanda along with the rest of the service staff took great care of us. We were even greeted by several of the owners. We will be back for sure. This is the second time I have been here the first time I was very impressed. This visit was very disappointing from the service to the food. I made a reservation on open table they didn't have it under my name even tho I showed on my app . Then they called me while I was eating lunch in regards to my reservation . Looks like they just changed the name to my husbands name as the last reservation was under his name . The sever basically just delivered our food and that was about it. I had the spinach and fruit salad. Looked very pretty but it was like a bowl full of Costco spinach decorated with fruit . And the Panini sandwich was nothing special . Amazing view, amazing French Toast (coated with Captain Crunch!) and quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had: the prime rib.

My husband and I took his parents there for brunch. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and of course the view was GORGEOUS! They seat you outside on a patio that overlooks a heart shaped pond and a perfectly manicured lawn. We started off with a double order of the Beignets and their Bacon Bloody Mary's. I had the French Toast which is coated with Cap'n Crunch with strawberries and whipped cream, it was fabulous! My husband had the club sandwich and after the Beignets he had to bring half of it home. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you have guests from out of town. My husband and I are going to start going there more often, because the food is delicious and is reasonably priced. read more

Beautiful estate and grounds. Fresh flowers at table, relish tray to enjoy while you review the menu, superb service, the view from the veranda is just wonderful. We went with friends and ordered the avocado egg roll, the hummus plate, and the Bruschetta plate as appetizers. Each one was delicious. For our entrees we ordered the Rueben, the Prime Rib, the Cuban, and the Capriese sandwiches. Not one complaint except how full we were. All were superior. This place is incredible. It's so hidden. The place is so beautiful and the view is to die for as well as the food.

First visit, had a 1pm reservation - very nice first impression, table was ready - a little snafu with the servers had us sitting about 10 min before someone asked about drinks/order. Servers and nice but young....I had the prime rib sandwich, my girl friend the burger. They bring a little plate of veggies with dressing which is nice. Entree's were good, portion size was good. We each had a dessert & shared. Lemon raspberry marscapon cake, light and delicious ( my favorite) and flourless tort - very rich but also very good. We couldn't finish the desserts. The location is great - they have maybe 15 tables total so reservations are a must on the weekends. For two entrees, two desserts and two glasses of wine is about $55 which seems fair based on the wonderful environment. I took off one star for the snafu at the beginning and we had to keep asking for refills on water - other than those minor points - I will absolutely go back and highly recommend if you want a relaxing, quiet, lunch...... read more

Been there for lunch and brunch a few times and each time I've have not been disappointed. The view itself is beautiful. The staff are friendly and the garden walk is breath taking. Each visit to The Veranda restaurant has been a breath 'tasting' experience. I have ordered the breakfast egg roll with a killer chipotle sauce. Also on a different occasion I ordered the Avocado omelet with breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were crispy and just right. The omelet was delicious. My Husband and I got married here 4 years ago. This is a Fairytale wedding venue!! Everyone raved how amazing our food was at our wedding, and it still is. What a beautiful place!! I'm disappointed in the complete lack of regard this place has for potential customers. I left voice mails and sent emails for two different holiday occasions well in advance to try to make reservations. Despite an endless list of staff extensions, not one person bothered to my return my calls either time. Today I checked their website and found out they are sold out for the very Easter brunch that I tried making reservations for weeks ago! We went to brunch at the Veranda and it was absolutely disgusting. The service was terrible as well. I had the Wellington Benedict and instead of poached eggs, they more resembled hard boiled eggs. My mother ordered the quiche and it was just a bowl of scrambled eggs with some vegetables in it and a pastry puff on top. The wine was warm, the mimosas were warm and the coffee was cold. Beautiful grounds, excellent (gluten free friendly) food and a wonderful waitstaff. My family and I went there for lunch and were unsure of what to expect. First of all, we never had to ask for our drinks to be refilled because they were kept full the entire meal. I had the Traditional Cobb Salad and I was impressed. The veggies were so fresh and the meat was quality. I have Celiac's Disease and the staff was so careful about everything they served me. They now have a Gluten-free menu!! My family's favorite lunch item was the Bruschetta. (Not gf) We finished our meal with the vanilla bean ice cream and fresh berries. Not too sweet, just tasty. During our meal we were visited by the owner and his son at our table to make sure our meal was to our satisfaction. It was really cool. Then we decided to tour the on-site gardens. I had the opportunity to return just before Christmas for a second lunch visit to the Grand Tradition's Veranda Restaurant. The weather was a little overcast, but the veranda was very comfy with their patio heaters. We enjoyed the hummus appetizer which included three different types. I am not usually a fan of hummus, but these were very flavorful. I ordered the club sandwich which was loaded with meat. It was a meal and a half, so good. Looking over the various plates ordered by the rest of the family, they looked so appetizing, a feast for the eyes. The fresh flower on each plate was so pretty. Once again I did not hear any complaints, just lots of satisfaction. The desserts were definitely worth trying, though you may need to share after the large portions at lunch. A yummy lunch time! The view is always spectacular and the time was soooo relaxing. It is truly a "must experience" when in Fallbrook. Don't miss the chance. read more

Husband and I just had lunch there for the first time, they are only open for lunch and reservations are required. The food was excellent! The menu was light and very reasonable. They start you off with a small tray of fresh veggies and dill dressing, complimentary. Our starter dish was Hummus, 3 small scoops of 3 different varieties with fresh Asiago cheese bread toasts, good, a little flavorless, but good. My husband ordered their Grilled chicken sandwich which he choose a side of fresh fruit, and a caesar salad. He said it was the best chicken sandwich he has had. I ordered the Chicken Caesar salad, lettuce was very fresh and crisp, croutons were delish and the dressing to die for. Service was EXCELLENT! Place was SUPER clean. Afterwards you can take a garden tour for an additional fee. The views are fantastic. This place is only open for lunch 7 days a week and seating is limited, I think they had 10 tables that would accomodate 70 people? And its all set on the rear Veranda. Highly recommend trying or if you have out of town guests it would be the BEST place in Fallbrook to take them too, we certainly will, since Fallbrook is lacking some good restaurants. read more

Had the pleasure of dining at The Veranda for lunch with some girlfriends. It was the perfect day, cool, sunny, and clear. Reservations are a must as it fills up quickly, and there are about a dozen tables. The first thing you notice is how peaceful and beautiful your surroundings are. It's kind of like you have a slice of paradise in your own backyard. I LOVE that they offer crudites and yummy dill dressing vs. bread for a complimentary snack. I ordered an Arnold Palmer to drink, and it's made with fresh-squeezed lemonade. If you're not up for tea or soda, they also offer some great wines, and beer. For lunch, I ordered the spinach salad with berries, pecans, and feta cheese with grilled chicken. It was fresh and delicious, and the dressing on the side is really good! My friends ordered the portabello mushroom burger, and wedge salad with grilled chicken, and they were raving about their food. I love the fact that the chicken is served warm, and not chilled. For dessert, we ordered the flourless chocolate cake with raspberries, and it was to die for! My idea of the perfect chocolate fix for sure! The service was excellent. All of the staff were very attentive, friendly, and made sure we all had what we needed at all times. This is a wonderful spot for lunch with friends, family, or a great place to take a date. After visiting the Myrtle Creek gardens today (loved it & reviewed) we were hungry and of course we yelped! This place popped up so we decided to give it a try. I'm going to try to be very careful about my wording. We parked and were amazed at how beautiful it was. We began to walk up and a lady who was standing at the front, which looked like a valet stand, gave us this look. We immediately felt uncomfortable and out of place. She proceeded to ask us if we were looking for something... NOT can she help us... But if we were looking for something; as if we were lost. Seriously?! Then she tells us it's reservations only, which is fine, I must have over looked that but her tone wasn't pleasant. Needless to say we left. I gave it 2 stars because it is a restaurant and I can't fully review it without tasting the food.... Which I won't be able to... since I won't return to this place. My advice to go on a day that you are not casually dressed visiting the town because they will make you feel out of place. read more

Wonderful lunch on the veranda overlooking the beautiful grounds of Grand Tradition. Though elegant, the place is not stuffy. Staff members were friendly, helpful, and we had a great morning. The food was delicious, great quality, perfect temperature, all the details taken care of. This is the place for a wedding, reception, nice event, and the restaurant is a good place for ladies lunch, baby showers, birthday celebrations, etc. The environment reminds me of the Deep South without the negatives (bugs, prejudice, humidity). This was one of those experiences that are so impressive it turned into an event I want to share with all my friends. However I don't want this to be culinary based review. Just had a fabulous lunch at The Veranda with my girlfriend. It was a perfect weather day and the view was beautiful. Had the BLTA sandwich, which was delicious! Maple bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato on hearty whole-grain bread, with a tasty pea salad side. Split a Meyer lemon cake dessert that was light and scrumptious! We took the walk in the gardens afterwards and thoroughly enjoyed it! Well worth the small extra fee. They have done an amazing job of creating lush, peaceful, exotic gardens with spectacular waterfalls all around. The Grand Tradition is incredibly beautiful and the grounds perfection, so I am saddened to write a review that the brunch was so-so. The three stars is for the view and the grounds, not the food. We won't return, and hope it was just an off day since there are so many glowing reviews. Three of us had the Del Rey Omelet, which we found tasteless, bland and dry. Really no flavor at all. I had the fruit side was happy since the other two had the potatoes which were served in a small bowl, greasy and tasted as if they were reheated from last weeks menu.My husband had the waffle which was mushy and old tasting. The beignets were hard dough balls, but they did have a lovely dipping sauce - however, we didn't finish them due to the heavy texture. On a good note, the restaurant begins your meal with a lovely dish of fruit and vegetables. The bloody Mary's was delicious and served with a piece of bacon in the drink. The Mimosa's were weak and they could have made them so much more interesting with fresh squeezed OJ. A big disappointment in the food, it sounds like lunch is better. read more
