Probably the best bowl of Posole that I have had In the valley. Very flavorful and best of all, they don't serve you just broth and a bone with bits of meat. It has big chunks if meat and full of flavor. For only 8 bucks... It's amazing I'm Mexican, and from San Diego and am quite picky on my Mexican food and how I rate it. Really good drinks here! I ordered the Bennett and bubbly and it was really delicious! My friends got other drink and they were good too. Food was good and the servers were nice too. The Vig is definitely trendy, and always happening in Arcadia. I love the location and overall atmosphere of the place. It's a good place to head to for happy hour, or a pre-game/in-between places. I don't understand the hype it has in most crowds though. Their food tends to be good but not great, and I am always slightly disappointed in most things I order. I always try new things and have been at least 10 times (so it's definitely not for lack of effort). The mac and cheese is a bit bland especially, which is so discouraging! Mac and cheese is delicious 9 out of 10 times, but not superb here. I do enjoy some of their cocktail options, such as the Daily Mules! Yum! They also always tend to be out of a lot of their draft options, or don't carry much! If you're in the area and need to kill time, I definitely say go for it! This place is a "Vig"ilante in the restaurant business. Their white fish tacos are literally the freaking bomb. I got mine without the spicy slaw and substituted lettuce with no problem. I also purchased the beer that was on special and it came out promptly. I went on a Thursday night and the place was poppin with a Dj and a cool dude on a trumpet. Love the downtown location. I've only been once before and when I came back to visit, I had to come back....just for the Pasole! The outdoor space is awesome and the house it's situated in is like a cape cod house in downtown. I just live the building. We had drinks... Me a Moscow Mule, him a beer and hen a Martini. We had guacamole and chips, and wings and then he had a hamburger and fries and I had a large bowl of that goodness...the pasole was on point. The food is amazing but the service is terrible and whoever works back of the house needs some serious training or talking to. We went for my grandmothers birthday and the server was incredibly slow. While ordering we were told that the kitchen was out of chorizo. She then came back to tell us they were out of breakfast potatoes. It was only when our sandwich came with ciabatta bread (wrong) that we found out they were also out of croissants which is what we ordered. My family has worked in several restaurants and we've been guests to countless -- never have we been to a place with so many inadequacies. Our group tends to be a little high maintenance and a noisy, but our seating in the back of the porch area was perfect for us. They even let us put up a couple decorations for our event. Called 3 weeks ago and asked if we could reserve a bit of space for a birthday group and was told they dont take reservations.....showed up today to listen to Elvis Before Noon and all the comfortable atterondek chairs were noted as reserved (for the owner). When we asked the manager he said there's a group team but they never mentioned that when we called about the birthday. We chose this place for my Birthday. Everyone had eaten there before but me. We wanted the live music but found out that they alternate between days during the summer, so there wasn't any live music. I ordered the Greek salad with salmon and it was excellent; the part that was supposed to be hot (salmon) was hot and the part that was supposed to be cold was cold. I don't want to post a horrible review of this place because as a former server, I hate leaving 1 star reviews, but it has definitely declined in the last few years. The server barely came to check on us and I don't want to name her because I'm not sure if it was a lack of staffing or she was just inattentive. She seemed very busy so again I'm not going to put it all on her because that's a staffing issue and not her fault. I ordered an EXTRA dirty martini and the bartender made basically just Tito's in a glass with blue cheese olives. And it was a solid 7-10 minutes before the server even had a chance to come back and I could ask for olive juice. I don't know why they changed the menu so much but my friend and I ordered the southwest salad to share as our appetizer and it was honestly probably the worst salads we've ordered. That is not a knock on the kitchen staff, this complaint is 100% on whoever thought that was a flavorful combination of ingredients. The lettuce tasted awful. We didn't even want to continue with the rest of our meal there and just closed out and left. Again this is not a knock on the server because she can only do so much. The bartenders use to be the best in the business and by the execution of that martini...I used to come here because the dirty martinis were off the charts delicious. The food used to be incredible. Owners or management need to maybe revisit changes and not fix/change things if they aren't broken. read more

I was sat at a table on the patio and so was other people around same time as me.
