Ordered the chicken shawarma plate that's supposed to be chicken, humus, tabouli & pita bread. Instead I got soggy fries and rice with an excessive amount of humus that I guess I'm to eat by the spoonful since I have no pita. It's impossible to get in contact with the store, you have to email or leave a message. I never cared for Rachel's and this proves I should've gone with my instinct. Disappointed. This was not the Rachels I recalled going to at other locations many times in the past. First server (young man) got the order mixed up - I asked for a wrap but he started preparing a rice bowl for my daughter. Then out of nowhere a second server flies into the restaurant and from behind the counter tells the first server that she's taking over. Ok! Second server (young woman) was harsh and abrupt in tone. That's not how you speak to a paying customer. You ask politely what the customer wants. I was already giving my order to the young man and was cut off when she appeared. I lost my train of thought. And you don't rush the customer (there was no long line of waiting customers behind us), as if you got no time to let the customer decide what toppings they want and need to get the transaction over with. To add insult to injury, the young woman server quickly threw on a few scanty pieces of already cooked gyro before shoving me down her assembly line. My gyro wrap was more like a "vegetable wrap" with some gyro. Before I could say anything, dumbfounded, my gyro was made. Too late. For $13 for a gyro wrap that's not cool. Thats not cheap either. Nope. Not again. I don't care that it's a new location for a successful restaurant chain in our area, clean in appearance and the food is of good quality. Recently moved back to buffalo and I'm glad I did. I missed Rachel's that much. I was scared at first because of how big they've gotten over the last few years, as I was originally a customer of the UB campus 10 years ago. Quality is still there. This location seemed short handed, but I didn't wait long. I ordered the chicken shawarma rice bowl, and it was to die for. Surprisingly, I thought the prices were reasonable. While visiting New York, based on recommendations from both locals & fellow travelers I was very excited to try Rachel's. On Saturday 12/28 (the day we arrived) just before 6pm we placed an order for one steak kabob dinner, 1 falafel dinner & an order of Greek fries. The total was just short of $80.00. At 7:10pm a delivery driver arrived at our hotel room with a single bag containing one small Greek salad. Absolutely nothing else. Keep in mind, we didn't even order a salad as any of our sides & none of our food was with this small salad. We attempted to call the restaurant dozens of times between 7:10pm & 7:30pm when they closed. They never answered, no voicemail set up & they were not open the following day (Sunday) so on Monday we called again & spoke to an employee who tried to reach a member of management (she was very nice). A few hours later she called back & told us that first thing Tuesday morning the manager will contact us to arrange replacing our 80$ failed meal delivery. Today is Tuesday, it is now 5pm; no one called us so we called over & over, no luck. Finally at 3pm a young man answers & informs us that they had just closed (at 3pm). We fly out tomorrow morning at 5am. This experience with Rachel's was disappointing to say the least. What a terrible waste of money & a night with no dinner after traveling the entire day added insult to injury. I am truly shocked that management never called, employees rarely answer the phone & this establishment could not have cared less about correcting their epic fail. read more

This Rachel's recently opened so decided to check it out. Actually never been to any of the others either. We decided to order take-out which was very easy to do on their app. We both ordered the Original Rachel's Rice Bowl, mine the Chicken Shawarma and his the Gyro. I liked the large selection of toppings and the variety of sauces/ dressings. I got the tahini and hot sauce on the side with house greek dressing on top (couldn't make up my mind!). The whole thing was very tasty. Everything tasted fresh and the chicken was flavored perfectly. I ordered online and that was a simple process. Received an email of my order- 1   Wheat Pita $13.25 Steak Souvlaki - Sauteed Onions, Tomato, Feta Cheese, Dill Sauce. Take out bag was ready when I walked in. I Didn't check out the wrap just headed back to the office. No feta and no tomatoes and the worst the wrap was super small. Take a look at the picture. For $14 i need something a lot larger, I would of been better off with a sub, that would of been the same price or cheaper and double or triple the food to fill me up. read more

First time getting takeout from this fairly new location. I ordered a rice bowl through their mobile ordering system. Ordering was easy and my food was ready when they said it would be ready. I ordered the Lamb Rice Bowl with just about all the toppings and sauces (on the side) that they offer. It was good but I'm glad I requested the garlic sauce on the side because it was basically pureed garlic and had an overpowering taste. Next time I order I'll pass on the garlic sauce. read more

Chicken souvlaki is amazing. don't always get the sides (like Pita bread),, which I look for.. wish more consistency when ordering. Otherwise, meal is very good. highly recommend!!! read more
