Just had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend tea with my family! This teahouse is so cute! Decorations start in the parking lot with tea pots everywhere. This weekend was a set menu. There was peach cobbler tea and Paris tea. The first course was a salad with apples and walnuts alongside a macaroni and cheese quiche. You read that right! I never had anything quite like that quiche, and I promise you, our ramekins were scraped empty! It was the best bite of the afternoon for sure. Then came a lemon scone with cream and raspberry curd. Delicious. Then came the tower of sandwiches and cakes. Cucumber sandwich, egg salad sandwich, Waldorf chicken salad sandwich, salmon mousse sandwich, and various desserts. We were stuffed and will definitely come again. The staff was so friendly, coming around to the tables and offering conversation, we felt very welcome.

This was the cutest place ever!! There's some parking in the back but also street parking wasn't too bad either. The WHOLEEEE place is decorated head to toe, like not a space was spared. It's gorgeous and welcoming and the people were so kind. The food was delicious and our tea included soup and salad in the beginning as well as a full teapot and lots of desserts. I didn't feel rushed ever and left really full and happy. Would def recommend reservations!!

This is a true Traditional tea experience! The scones are fresh and delicious. The sandwiches are also made fresh and served with lovely desserts. The teas are incredible! My favorite teas were the hibiscus and oak barrel bourbon. Our server Kim went above and beyond to make sure our table of friends had the best experience. The atmosphere and creative decorations are welcoming and unique. Highly recommended experience!

We loved everything about this teahouse! The decorating was terrific-there was not one detail overlooked. It was still decorated for Christmas and sugar cubes had holly on them! Tea bag cookie and Santa hat were also adorable touches with the sweets. I had 2 different caffeinated teas and my friend had 2 decaffeinated. We had the full tea and the quiche, salad, sandwiches and treats were all amazing and the perfect size. There's parking in the back, but also on the street. Great service with Dana (I think that was her name).

    Cute tea pot decor outside.

We had the most lovely afternoon tea to celebrate my Mom's birthday today! The decor at the village tea house is just adorable and makes the perfect setting for tea. The selection of teas is fantastic and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner while we were there. It was just delicious! I think the quiche might be the best quiche I have ever had. It was light and fluffy with delicious fall flavors. My second favorite were their custom "tea" cookies! A perfect cookie!

Staff, service, food, and vibes at Village Teahouse were beyond my expectations. Their tea menu was extensive and a lot to choose from. Ranging from florals to sweet to herbals. We chose a tea meal so we were able to get unlimited refills and they gave you the option to choose new teas for each refill. We Specifically choose the Katherine Tea Meal and the tier of food is adorable! We each got our own teapot and went through ~3 refills each and tried each other's tea. Staff was super sweet and attentive. They made sure we were taken care of and got our refills right away! Typically it is a 2 hour seating, but we did not feel rushed and had enough time to spill tea with each other They also have a small gift shop when you enter the building and this place gave off a victorian tea house vibe. Tip: make sure to make a reservation ahead of time! Definitely an experience to try!

I have been here many times and always have an enjoyable meal and experience. I like that the menu is different monthly which changes things up each visit. I also enjoy that they let you change out what flavor tea you got after you have finished a pot.

This is the most fantastic teahouse in the area. The atmosphere is so intimate and eclectic. The perfect environment to enjoy their wide selection of teas. And the food is fantastic, perfect balance of traditional tea fare with some interesting takes on the classics. And our server Rosemary was so wonderful!

Incredible service, warm ambience and yummy food, the Village Teahouse is worth the journey! I particularly enjoyed the tea sandwiches: each a tiny work of art! And the desserts were beautiful and delicious. We loved the St. Nick tea.

I took my grandchildren here for lunch and they had such a great experience . The food was very good and the tea was as well.

Our group of thirteen ladies enjoyed numerous cups of a variety of delicious teas during out tea party yesterday at The Village Teahouse. We started our Minnie's Senior Tea Size Meal with two teas suggested by Meg, the owner, Jane Austen and Sleigh Bells. Our delicious meal: quiche, salad, cherry and pecan scones with cherry curd and Devonshire cream (my favorite), tea sandwiches, and petite sweets. Other teas we enjoyed were Apple Cinnamon French Toast and The Village Teahouse Special Blend. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, especially on a cloudy, overcast day. There are so many adorable touches throughout, from the teacups to two-tiered serving pieces to beautiful decor, much of it tea-related! Meg and our server Rosemary were efficient, welcoming, and friendly. I highly recommend a visit to this lovely establishment! Ask the Community - The Village Teahouse

Hello: are the meals per person or for two people? Thanks

    The meals are per person.

I know the menu changes, what are some examples of sandwiches they've served?

They always serve a cucumber sandwich and an egg sandwich. I had chicken salad, a roasted red pepper spread, and a corned beef and swiss cheese the last time I was there.

Are there any gluten free options?

Hi Katie. Thanks for this question. We do certainly have gluten free options with an advance reservation (at least 48 hours). When you call to make a reservation, please let us know you are gluten free and we will note the reservation. Thanks so… Read more

What a lovely little spot on the Main Line! I am an afternoon tea connoisseur, so my expectations…read morewere rather high... and they were surpassed! I had been in the area for several days to tour apartments and daycares in advance of our planned move to Pennsylvania next year... so a lovely tea was my little splurge on the trip after days of drinking protein shakes on the go. I made a reservation for 10 am on Sunday, right when they opened, since I was going to go straight to the airport afterward. I was seated immediately, and everything came out pretty fast. I opted for the full afternoon tea, which comes with eight tea sandwiches, a scone with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves, and three assorted mini pastries, along with a pot of tea. You can choose up to four flavors for the sandwiches (so you get two of each flavor for a total of eight mini sandwiches), so I got the curried chicken salad, egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese, and cheddar cheese and chutney. Most tea places give you four sandwiches per person, so there was no way I was finishing eight of these. Thankfully, I got four of them in a to-go box and they ended up being a tasty snack on the plane. The curried chicken salad was my favorite (which they sell in their to-go containers in the gift shop), followed by the cucumber and cream cheese (the cucumbers were thinly sliced, which makes a big difference!). The egg salad was good, but a bit mild-flavored. I can't say I loved the cheddar cheese and chutney combo, so in the future I might just opt for more of the curried chicken or cucumber sandwiches instead. For the scone, I chose blueberry citrus, which was delicious! I used a very thin layer of the lemon curd, followed by the strawberry preserves and topped with the clotted cream. All of the flavors worked quite well on the scone. I wasn't blown away by the mini desserts (I can't recall exactly what flavors they were, but there was a posset that was a bit saltier than I was expecting, a blueberry cream puff, and a mini cake slice). But as I've gotten older, I've found myself more drawn to the savory aspect of afternoon teas anyway. The rest of the meal was delicious enough, and filling enough, that I honestly was never going to be able to finish everything. I was dining solo here, and I'm guessing not a lot of people do a tea for one, so I ended up chatting with 4-5 different employees here over the course of my meal. I have to say that the service here may have been the friendliest I've experienced pretty much anywhere. Everyone I spoke with was so welcoming and kind! When it came time for me to leave, they all wished me a safe trip back to Florida and said they hoped to see me again as one of their "regulars" once we move. I can already tell you, I hope that's the case too! This place is adorable, inside and out. And I love the assorted British foods available in the gift shop, along with fun kitchenware. If my suitcase hadn't already been packed to the brim, I probably would've spent more money in that shop. I'm looking forward to returning next year once I escape the Sunshine State :)

There was Irish and Celtic music playing in the background the servers Linsey and. Madison were attentive and extremely personable. My friend and I picked out our two teas to share. Our third course was a variety of delicious tea sandwiches, one of which was a corned beef cabbage sandwich. The corned beef was soaked in a tea. There was an egg salad sandwich, cucumber, and herbs, pretzel, and cheese. We learned this from the owner Patty, who is extremely passionate and committed to serving delicious food that complements the tease and the theme. Our afternoon tea was simply fantastic. It began with a genuine and welcoming arrival. The sandwiches were both inventive and delicious. Two different varieties of scones, which were a little dry, but that is the nature of scones; it just provides an excuse for more jam and lemon curd and clotted cream. The assortment of sweets was also exceptional. There was a PB&J macaroni, a cherry cheesecake kind of thing and a s'mores tartlet that was just epic. Perhaps the most interesting part of our adventure was the selection of teas. Even better is that you're not locked into a single choice. I had a tropical green tea with flavors of mango, papaya and pineapple. Then I tried the caramel chai. Both were fantastic, and I'm typically of the Ted Lasso perspective (tea is just hot brown water). We we definitely be returning.
