    Turkey Club Sandwich
    Deanna K.

Every now and then you crave that perfect turkey club, especially during the hot months, when you don't feel like cooking. Olives knows how to make that perfect turkey club a reality. From the fresh French bread, delicious turkey, crisp lettuce and tomato, and this tasty herb aioli!! And, did I mention crispy bacon?? The portion size was great and I was going to save half for tomorrow, but that didn't happen because it was so dang good!!! And their Mac and cheese is out of this world too...love this little neighborhood grocer!

Lots of recommendations for this place and I'm glad I tried it! The workers were friendly and gave us great suggestions on what to try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outdoor seating which is quite nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd also say this place is located in a pretty walkable area and relatively close to the beach. Definitely coming back in the future.

Our family loves Olive's! Food and service are always great. Great selection of sandwiches and houseafe salads. It's easy to order and quick for your food to be ready. Prices ate very reasonable for their sandwiches and very generous with the filings. I love their olive spread, very garlic! We regularly order from.Olive's. The Ciabbata bread is very fresh and pairs well with their sanehiches. It's fun to shop around while waiting. Large wine selection, take and bake items in the freezer, baked goodies, preserves, pastas, etc.

    Amazing Muffeletta!

Had to pick up something in the LBC yesterday and tried to find the best place to grab some sandwiches to have later in the day at our local Concerts in the Park. Really glad I found OLIVES under a Yelp search for "gourmet sandwiches" because my sandwich was probably one of the very best sandwiches I've ever had. I ordered the Muffulettas sandwich ($10.49) and the flavors were incredible. I could taste the high quality of the ingredients (Genoa Salami, hot cappacola, mortadella, olive salad, fontana and provolone) with every bite. And the ciabatta was fresh and tasty as well. Truly a perfect sandwich! I slowly enjoyed every small bite I took and I saved my other half for lunch today! If you've had a Muffeletta at Central Grocery in New Orleans (also one of my faves), the sandwich at Olives is only slightly similar. From what I recall, there's more stuff in the one in The Big Easy and it drips with olive oil (I don't view this as a negative...surprisingly, quite the contrary, in fact) but Olive's version very impressively packs all the flavor in their version with less volume. The boy devoured his two halves of the Grilled Steak Sandwich ($11.49: sliced steak, caramelized onions, arugula, tomato, herb aioli, baguette). He loved it. The girl got the Belmont ($11.49: grilled chicken breast, sun dried tomato pesto, goat cheese and mixed greens on baguette) and I await her verdict today as she ended up eating out last night but it looks fantastic. Olive's prices are very reasonable which I very much appreciate. Service was good and quick. My only gripe was that I called to place my order because online showed them out of the kids' picks but that was not accurate so they do need to fix their online ordering system. Oh, and one more thing...they put the sandwiches numbers on the wrappers but the numbers don't show on their website. They do, however, show on the printable menu (which I found out after the fact) so I have included the printable menu here along with my review. Truly cannot wait to go back! Highly highly recommend!

smoked turkey & brie: smoked turkey, brie, pesto aioli, lettuce, tomato on a baguette = $11.49
    Trung N.

I met and ate a bunch of my new favorite things here today, so that was exciting. First off. Curry macaroni salad? Uhm okay. I've never met a macaroni salad I didn't like and this was one was exceptional with the addition of the curry flavor. I loved it with all my heart - it was tangy and had just the right amount of pizazz. Will be buying this 4ever. I also tried 2 of their fan favorite sandwiches: -smoked turkey & brie ($11.49): smoked turkey, brie, pesto aioli, lettuce, tomato on a baguette roll -spicy steve ($13.49): hot slim, hot cappicola, hot calabrese, provolone, mayo, Parmesan spread, lettuce, tomato, red onion on focaccia Initially, I hated the smoked turkey sandwich - the baguette was so freaking stretchy and chewy. It was hardly enjoyable, though the innards were delightful. Okay, so what you need to do is go home and toast the bread. It's crispy and resembles a baguette - plus the cheese melts and the pesto is extremely fragrant. This is an-eat-at-home-sammy if there's such a thing. This is a freaking delicious sandwich if you love a good pesto situation. Olives Gourmet Grocer is the most perfect neighborhood spot. They also have a cute little market where you can purchase all sorts of fun things for yourself or for gifts. And prices are unbelievable. Make Olives Gourmet Grocer your next sandwich destination.

They sell Trump merch if you need it.

Grabbed a sandwich and a soda. Everyone is nice. For sure coming again. Get the chicken club.

    Chicken soup
    Adrianna V.

So I was really sick and one of the best confort foods was this chicken soup. They usually have chicken soup, beef barley and chicken lemon. The chicken soup hit so well and now that Im all better I have a bigger appreciation for this place. They definitely have great sandwich as well. Service is great and you can always call for pick up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I don't believe there is anywhere to sit..its your place to pick up..[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I definitely recommend their chicken soup for that cold night for comfort. It has plenty of flavor. The noodles were a little odd because they were not bite size but it was still delicious! I just added a little lime. It was perfect.

    Prosciutto Di Parma
    Jason H.

I've always noticed this spot buzzing with people during lunch, and I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's only outdoor seating and street parking, but the neighborhood is super walkable, so it's not a hassle at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were friendly and efficient, getting my sandwich ready in no time. I went with the Prosciutto di Parma, which comes with mozzarella, prosciutto, and roasted red peppers. Every bite bursts with fresh flavors. The bread is crisp, the cheese is creamy, and the prosciutto is perfectly salty. I think adding a little fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze would push this sandwich from amazing to absolute perfection. This spot definitely lived up to the hype. Simple, fresh, and satisfying. The kind of place you'll want to come back to again and again.

Was supposed to be a sandwich with turkey.

Hi Olives, I've been a longtime customer and used to genuinely love coming here because the sandwiches were consistently fresh, generous, and delicious. Unfortunately, over time I've noticed a pretty significant decline in both quality and portion size. My most recent sandwich was disappointing, especially for the price. It felt like over three-quarters bread, with a very thin slice of chicken, minimal lettuce, and barely any aioli. What used to feel hearty and satisfying now feels skimpy and overpriced. I completely understand that food costs, labor, rent, and insurance have all gone up. Most customers understand that and expect some price increases. But when prices stay premium, the product still has to feel worth it. Right now, it honestly doesn't. There are several sandwich shops nearby where you can get a larger, fresher sandwich with substantially more protein for the same price or less. That's tough competition when longtime customers start feeling like the value just isn't there anymore. I'm writing this because I'd actually like to keep supporting a local business I used to enjoy regularly. I truly hope management takes another look at portion sizes and overall consistency, because I'd love a reason to come back. Sincerely,A disappointed regular

    Spicy Steve Sandwich
    Stephen P.

Great neighborhood sandwich shop/boutique grocery store. My favorite sandwich is the Spicy Steve, it's an Italian sandwich with Hot salami, hot cappicola, hot calabrese, provolone, mayo, parmesan spread, lettuce, tomato, red onion, Goat -Horn peppers on focaccia. The meat is always fresh and the bread is absolutely delicious! Most of the workers are very nice and most of them make the sandwiches great. There is one gal that isn't the best at making you feel welcome and she puts way too much oil/vinegar on everything. But I won't punish the whole plant for one rotten tomato. The little grocery store is cute and has great presentation, but don't think you are going to grocery shop there. It's more of a fun convenience kind of thing. Lots of items they sell you can find at a regular grocery store for less than half of what they sell it for. It's street parking only, I usually walk, but if you drive, I bet you'll find a spot easy.

    Spicy Combo Sandwich
    Katherine B.

Olives is right down the street from me, and I've been wanting to try it forever, and I'm glad I finally did! Everyone was so friendly in the store. And they have great gourmet grocery items for hosting dinner parties or gifts. They also offer freshly made sandwiches and paninis which is the main reason I've been wanting to give them a try. I ordered the spicy combo sandwich and let me say, they made that sandwich VERY quickly! And all of the ingredients were super fresh! The tomato and lettuce were really delicious. It was a fairly simple sandwich so you could really taste each ingredient. I will say though, it could use a little more meat, and it was not spicy at all. But it was good overall! The bread is really well made. I sat outside, they have a covered patio area along Broadway. Now the street is pretty busy, so it's not the most scenic setting, but it's a lovely option to sit outside and eat your sandwich right after they make it for you! I would definitely recommend this for a lunch to take to the beach!

They also have plans to bring back rhe casual sidewalk seating! We went for breakfast. Serving some of their regular (and beloved items) and also some new ones, like a French Style Omelet and Stuffed Grench Toast! You can still order any kind of coffee or tea drink! Many of us have our regular favorite drinks! The restaurant is open from 8am-9pm. They serve breakfast/lunch then after 4pm dinner including their beloved pizza! That's my only complaint here, I want pizza for lunch, or even breakfast, hint, hint, hint! Service was excellent! Sydney was our server and he was very friendly and helpful. Although the menu is limited, you want it all, hard to decide and he really helped! Sydney surprised my friend with her order and she was thrilled. Great pick too! For drinks we ordered our usual and as always made just how we like them. I ordered a Matcha Latte, my latest usual. Nice taste and texture and one of the best around! My friend ordered her usual, Lavendar Honey Latte, and enjoyed it. It was nice having our favorite drinks in coffee cups vs to go paper! For food, I ordered my usual the Breafast Croissant with Bacon. IYKYK their croissants are amazing, then add the eggs, cheese, and bacon, it's just the bomb. Although it's my usual, again, getting it served on an actual plate and being able to sit down and enjoy it piping hot, just special! My friend had the French Style Omelet and definitely enjoyed it. Next visit I plan to try their Stuffed Brioche French Toast! Of course next visit will have to be dinner so I can have some pizza!
