I have been a fan of Vitacost in the past. If in the area I would stop in to browse. Most times I am not looking for anything specific but in the past if I was I would call ahead to verify they had it before driving across town to pick it up. The drop in stars reflects my most recent experience. I had called to verify they had a product which showed in stock on line. I decided to call and see if they also had it in the store. Over the phone I was told that yes, they had about five in stock. This was on a Friday. On Sunday I drove to the store and not only did they not have the product the employee said he was not familiar with it and had never seen it in the store before. It's not even showing up on line anymore. He tried to pinpoint when I called and who I talked to but I didn't remember and being told there were five in stock I didn't bother to ask to put it on hold. He was very apologetic and said he would have a manager call me the next day. That never happened and honestly not sure what good it would have done being I had already wasted a trip over there. Yes, they have good prices but so does Amazon and I don't even have to leave my house. read more

I have been shopping at Vitacost via the web for over 3 years, the prices are great! They have now opened a store at their Las Vegas facility... that made me happy! The store is nice, they have a good selection, if what you want is not on the shelf there is a computer terminal that you can order from near the register. Ever buy something and see it on sale the very next day? Spend $200-300 with Vitacost and they immediately send you a coupon for $30 off if you spend $180 more -- expires in one day. Far better than trying to compare 3 pt. type on bottles in the health food store but their marketing is done by sadists. This place is in the middle of an industrial area near the airport. They have a store attached to their larger warehouse and it's open 7 days a week. We just went in for some protein powder we couldn't find elsewhere but we came away with a few other things since the prices seem cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. Probably worth the trip if you're buying several things. The dude working was nice too. read more

Love the prices and products with vitacost... Unfortunately, there have been several times I've gone in there and the products I need are out of stock. So, I call in and order the products needed... Usually not an issue.. Today I tried to call and I kept getting a " call can not be completed' so, I called the 800 number and was on hold for almost 10 minutes just for her to transfer me to a number that went to a call off voicemail!!! I was going to order some hard to find things with amazon but found this store. It's the best store in town, i've found that can get anything if they don't have it on the shelf usually by next day. Prices are generally what you find on the internet, amazon, etc minus shipping but you do have to pay tax. Really good staff, it was nice to relax and take time to see the inventory without being hasseled to buy something. When I need more, I'll be back. read more

Jamie who has always been there when I have gone in is always helpful and if she doesn't know the answer to something she jumps on the computer and finds the answer - she is wonderful! The store is small and compact but carries SO MUCH stuff but if they don't have it in the store you can order it from their computer and get free shipping. This is my favorite health food store! Jamie is fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in recommending supplements. This store carries a great selection of healthy products. The best part is that if they don't have a product in the store, but carry it on line, you may order it through their in store kiosk with free shipping! If your not completely satisfied with any product, other than clearance items, you may return it to the store for a full refund or exchange. Just make sure to return it within 30 days with your receipt. The prices are amazingly low and usually 50% less than other chains like whole foods. ***Unfortunately the store is closed for emergency repairs as of 8/7/12. I still love going to the Vitacost store. Management has changed and they can now get items from the warehouse. We started purchasing from Vitacost I think before 2000 Vitacost had saved us so much money you could spend the rest of your life just going through their products and they get them to you as quickly as possible we spent hours in their Vegas store and we're going to go there next week and I'm really looking forward to it. this place is fantastic. i just discovered it by accident and i only live 10 minutes drive from the store. they are open 7 days and their prices are fantastic. i use a lot of products and i am saving so much money. !! if you get their own brand, you can sometimes get 2 for 1 , and 2 for 1 1/2. all las vegas and henderson residents take note, and save a bundle over the other vitamin stores in town. this happens to be the only vitacost store in the u.s. we are so lucky to live close by. ! read more
