She charged $35 to trim my dog's nails because he was "challenging". He is the most chilled dog (small dog with small nails) I said, but it's $25 for a nail clipping. She rudely replied, your dog was difficult. I was there the whole time and never heard him make a sound. I said, I apologize and would have stepped back there if I knew. So where does it state that you can up charge at your discretion? They lost a long time customer today. I was shocked at her behavior but more shocked that they can charge what they choose.

I've followed up multiple times, professionally and respectfully, but I've received no response and no payment. While accidents can happen, how a business handles them afterward says everything. This was our 6th time using daycare for our Australian Shepherd, Zeus, and what we experienced was beyond unacceptable. We trusted this place. We expected outdoor play, clean and sanitary conditions, real supervision, and staff who genuinely care about dogs. Instead, we walked into neglect. From the moment we arrived, the staff was rude, dismissive, and clearly annoyed by basic questions. When we dropped Zeus off and asked for a tour, we were bluntly told no manager was available and no tour could be given. No explanation. No reassurance. Just attitude. When we came back for pickup and asked again, we were told to wait so staff could "check on some things." That alone should have told us something was very wrong. What we saw after that made us angry, sick to our stomachs, and heartbroken. Multiple dogs were locked in kennels with no staff supervising at all. We personally witnessed kennel staff and groomers being unattentive, rude, and disengaged, including employees standing around or sitting on their phones instead of watching the dogs. Kennels were covered in dried urine and feces, and dogs were left sitting in it--no cleaning, no breaks, no compassion. Then we saw Zeus -- locked in a crate in the corner, shaking, crying, and terrified. Seeing our dog like that broke us. It was devastating. He looked scared, confused, and completely abandoned. Watching him tremble and cry in that crate made us feel sick, angry, and deeply depressed. No dog deserves to be treated that way--especially not in a place that claims to provide care. This was not a bad day. This was systemic neglect. We left furious, heartbroken, and ashamed that we trusted this place. We cancelled everything immediately and will never return. This was not daycare. This was dogs being warehoused, ignored, and emotionally broken. They call it It's a Dog Life -- but what we witnessed was cruelty, neglect, and suffering.

I do not know what happened but they are no longer a place I would recommend. They not only butchered my yorkiepoo's hair and left him with a few scabs, they called me the next day (I believe one of the owners, a male) told me they choose who they do business with and since I am upset about my puppy's cut then I should not bring him there anymore and he hung up. I will be reporting this business to the better business bureau and continue to spread the word.

I've gotten some good vet referrals for various things from them and Missy told me about a lipoma that grew in 6 months. I had been watching it for 18 months but it had enlarged noticeably so surgery was scheduled because of the location of the lipoma. I wouldn't take my dog to any other groomer. I've tried plenty of groomers and was not happy. Side note: Missy's daughter Sam left the shop years ago. Missy is the owner of Paws and Pearls.

I noticed her paws were a little red when I picked her up, and I think it may be due to the artificial grass and the slide outside getting hot.
