Chicken Bacon wrap from lunch menu
Steffanie W.

Stopping by for the third time during my stay... having the steak melt today to try something new... service is always friendly and prompt. Nice and quiet for lunch today instead of a packed bar that can make it a little noisy. Will definitely remember this place for future travels. :-)

The food we had was good. Large portions. The service was friendly and we sat out on the patio (pet friendly) felt the nice spring air. It was nice. We had a cocktail called Pollen pie pretty good and another night we tried a flight they had made for May 5th super good! Will be back Juanita was super nice.

My partner and I chose this restaurant on our way down from Sequoia National Park, to celebrate our brand new engagement. We loved the Yelp photos of the food and the cool outdoor dining patio. When we arrived, it was pretty busy and with no host check in area, kind of difficult to tell where to get a table. After about 5 minutes, someone came to us to help us get seated. We opted for outside, it was cold that night but they have heaters around the tables. Also, worth noting the indoor seating area is small and dining outdoor gives you more elbow room (we had a stroller). The waiter came to take our drink order and although the staff was busy, he had a great attitude and was very kind. We were starving and luckily the wait for the food wasn't long at all. The plates came out looking delicious and everything tasted so good. When paying our check, we did notice once we got to the car that we paid the wrong tables bill. The difference was like $10 or so. My fiancé went back in to get it corrected and they were quick to void and recharge the right bill. Note: The restrooms were pretty messy and could use some TLC. I had to struggle with the doorknob for a few minutes as the door was stuck closed in the women's restroom side when I was trying to exit. Overall, cool spot with great food!

This place was pretty interesting. It had a total snack shack vibe but the food was actually pretty good. I started out with a salad and had the knife and fork burger and it was excellent. This place could use a total make over and it could be a really upscale place. The service was good and the location was awesome. Lots of room to grow and I hope that they do just that! If you're in the area and want a pretty good burger go check em out. Follow me on IG @hungry_dude_usa

Food is excellent, best fish and chips I ever had. Great service and the atmosphere is great! Recommend eating outside and enjoying the river view and nature!

Hamburger and fries

This was the first time we stop here to eat. I had the tri-tip sandwich with fries and my husband had hamburger with fries. The only thing I would say is that my tri-tip was very delicious, but my husband's hamburger patty was very small but the filling was very extra making it look like a big hamburger.

Tritip Benedict

Perfect for Sunday brunch on the shaded patio. We had steak and eggs and tritip benedict, both with colorful plates heaping with delicious food. There's enough to take some home for another meal. You can't beat the environment, close to the river with a light breeze. Friendly service. Juanita and Keely took good care of us.

Stopped by for dinner and again fantastic food and service. This place proved again a solid W. Seriously can't go wrong with the flavors that meld together in the nachos. The Tradewinds apricot drink was refreshing and really good. Thanks to the friendly staff and server! Felicity!

Ask the Community - The Wakehouse

Do y'all still have pool tables?

No we don’t.. sorry!

Can you get a quality, good cocktail here? If you drink super sweet things or anything that comes in blue, purple, green or bright red, then with all due respect, I do not trust your opinion of what is "good", so please dont false advertise lol!

We aim to please, we do make cocktails from fresh ingredients, and sometimes infuse our own liquors and liqueurs. However we do make and mostly sell colorful and sweet drinks. We prefer to make stuff with more craft.

Can you still get off the river float here?

Yes

This place is soooo much fun! If you are stopping by, be ready to party! I would love to give this…read moreplace 5 stars but there's a few reasons of my 4 star rating. Let me start with getting inside the bar first..... my friend and I arrived around 9:45 pm and the line was super long. Also the place was almost at capacity so the wait was going to be quite a time. Luckily, we had a reservation and we were able to enter without waiting in line. Once you enter, welcome to little Mexico in Reedley! People are dancing and drinking all over the bar and there are a few tables that were already reserved by big groups. My respects to the bartenders as they were working all night nonstop. It took my friend about 30 minutes to be able to order something to drink. We did noticed that bartenders were not following a line, and they would show preference to those who were ordering big amounts of alcohol. I get it.... it's a business... and it's so hard to notice who is first in line and why not. Finding a place to hang out it was a bit hard. You really need to reserve a table or you will be standing all night. Luckily we were invited into one of the tables by some amazing girls there. So we made new friends :) The place was so packed, you were literally almost shoulder to shoulder and the cops show up because it was way at capacity. There was no drama, the cops left and no one was able to come in anymore . So if you were waiting at 11 l:30 pm outside, I'm sorry you couldn't get in :( The music was amazing! They had Banda then the DJ played cumbias, regetton and music in English. A few things to improve and this place would be a 5 rating place are: 1. Space to dance! If there could be a mini dance floor, people would have so much more fun. People were dancing by their tables and there were a few broken bottles accidents. Liability is no joke. 2. The band was amazing! But it literally didn't have a place to play. The band was playing in between the tables. These talented people should have accommodations! Unless that's how it goes? 3. There was no one to clean tables. Empty bottles were accumulating and that created broken bottle accidents. 4. Come at your own risk because no temperature checks were taken. The only people wearing masks were the bartenders. Thank God for vaccines. Overall, this place was a lot of fun! It's about a 35 minute drive from Clovis, so if you are drinking, make sure to have a designated driver! Cops are usually hanging out outside the bar to make sure the city and people are safe. I fully recommend this place for all occasions.

My…read moreexpectations were not high when we parked outside -- the opera house does not look like much on the outside. I have been to Roger Rocka's in Fresno many times, and in the past year also visited the Golden Chain Theater in Oakhurst and the Ice House Theater in Visalia to see how they compare in quality of performance. They did not fare very well in those comparisons, so I expected somewhat the same result last night. I was in for a complete (pleasant) surprise. The ambience in the lobby once you step inside is charming and has that vintage small-theater-from-yesteryear feel. It is quaint and intimate. The dinner food was very good and better than I expected, but when the show began the experience changed from "interesting" to "wow". A brilliant cast that was as talented as it was varied by both age, gender, race and performance style took the stage in short bursts of songs from the history of broadway musicals. By intermission I was thinking the 2nd act would not top the first, but I was wrong again. From Chicago to Wicked to Phantom of the Opera, the cast took turns with one knockout performance after another. Perhaps because this was a musical revue-type play they could concentrate on casting singers rather than singer/actors, they were able to dial up some truly riveting performances. I had about 10 favorite songs that night...led by "All That Jazz", "Memories", and "Send In The Clowns"...but there were few songs that weren't very good. Summary: This one performance at Reedley was better than at least 1/2 of the recent performances I have seen at Roger Rocka's, and that is certainly not a criticism of RR at all. I am anxious to head back again soon to see how they handle other plays/musicals in the future.

It was my son's first time he's 17months, I have an almost 4 yo and my nephew is 8yo. We normally visit the beginning for the month but this past weekend was the only weekend that worked with our schedule and they do recommend visiting earlier since it's not as busy. We arrived just alittle around 11am there was a line at the entrance. Entrance fee is $10/car (suggest carpooling). There was definitely quite a bit of ppl. From reading recent reviews I'd said our experience was better than theirs despite the busy weekend. Thankfully they allowed us in to park, it was busy and we ended up parking on the second dirt lot. We did our normal train ride and hayride. The line for the train ride was extremely long we waited about an hour. But it was also my first time experiencing the train going all the way down to the pumpkin patch area. Which was quite nice, the ride was longer and it saved us a trip walking down hill with our littles. The hayride was probably a 15-20min wait. The prices had little to no change since our last visit 2 years ago. We decided to eat some tacos at Charlie's since they weren't busy and it was the closest food vendor also prices were very reasonable. Ordered 4 tacos and one quesadillas for the kids and it was pretty good, the service was fast and friendly. They addressed the long wait issues and reassured the public that they are working on getting another train, working on a bridge to alleviate the traffic and getting more staff. Overall I do highly recommend going the weekend in the beginning of the month to avoid long waits and the crowds. We did see so many vendors on the area where the train rides were but we were just to tired and so were the kids that we didn't get to check it out. Perhaps next year. The kids had fun regardless. The staff we encountered were nice.

So we had to leave. Good thing I saved the tickets and they honored them this time. They told me if I don't used them that day I could come in Christmas and use them then. I thought it was nice that they do that. So we used two tickets and now we have a good excuse to come back on Christmas. yay! The prices are modest. Everyone around were enjoying themselves. Very fantastic place to spend the evening. They only open on weekends though. So plan ahead.
