I've been here drunk a few late night and enjoyed the food and drinks. Came in sober today and I can't say the same. The old fashioned was good at least. The cow town sandwich is supposed to mimic a Chicago style sandwich, and i must say they failed miserably. The au jus was incredibly salty and the sandwich itself without the au jus was pretty bland. Two words: Espresso martini! They put these salt crystals in it, which elevates it above any I've had to this point. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. They have an impressive list of signature cocktails and craft beer, beer I haven't seen anywhere else. Their specialty is thin-crust Chicago-style pizza, and it does not disappoint. Big, foldable slices with whatever toppings you want, and a bunch of specialty pizzas that are pretty creative. I love soup, and a lot of places don't serve much in the summer. These guys do, and the Italian wedding was real good. Solid happy hour with $5.50 wells, $1 off beer and $2 off apps. They apparently don't have a fryer, but the oven-baked chicken bites certainly tasted fried, with a bunch of yummy dipping sauces. Doing this review as the experiences goes down. Well I'm sitting here trying to figure out if I'll ever come back here. Probably not. I'm sat in the middle and there is clearly a waitress for this area. She goes right by me, somehow always managing to turn her head when she comes my way. Food comes after another twenty minutes and I've been here almost an hour and the waitress still hadn't greeted me or acknowledged my existence at all. The bartender got my ranch. No one has refilled my drink. I just want to order some canollis now but no one is paying Attention to me in the middle of the restaurant. Not even sure why Im ordering more at this point just really want a canolli. Waitress is leaving and now I'm not sure who is supposed to be helping me. After ordering 2 cannolis 15 minutes ago, the lady helping me has just acknowledged I still have not received them. the woman who took my order let me know my ticket was lost. Interesting. The tablet next to me also had a part of their order lost too. Actually waitress serving everyone but me didn't leave she's just continuing to service every table here but mine and I'm probably the easiest order this place took alll night. Must be a really bad day for them. I honestly haven't had service this awful in a long time. Cannolis arrived another division minutes since she realized I hadn't gotten them. Totally lack luster. And now it's been another 15 minutes since I've eaten the cannolis and I've had my card on the table ready to pay since they got here and now I feel trapped and like I can't leave. The couple next to me is already leaving and going up to our at the bar. This has been a shit show for an about and a half and I can say with certainty the 10 inch pizza and NA glass of wine was not good enough to turn this around. I really enjoy the food here. It's comfort-y and the whole restaurant really gives that comfort vibe as well. Sadly this restaurant is quite understaffed, we came recently and there was only one server for the whole inside, patio, and she was bar-tendering. It took about 25 minutes to get greeted, we didn't care about the wait we just felt horrible that she was there all alone. Clearly stressed. The 3 stars is for the management, not the food. The sandwiches and salads are AMAZING. I love the fun creative cocktails as well. I hope the employees get compensated for all of their hard work. I strolled in this restaurant waiting for my bf to finish his massage at Lodo massage next door. I must say the lunch special is a good deal. I ordered the 1/2 turkey sandwich bacon on side( bacon was very sweet and I absolutely loved it with pasta salad . Pasta salad needed more flavor and vinaigrette. I added honey mustard to my sandwich it was the cherry on top of the ice cream. My bf got the lunch pepperoni sliced pizza. It was tasty, very cheesy, and saucy!! I love this place. I have been going to this place for over 15 years. Live music, good drink and good food. It is my old stomping grounds local bar. It's like that fuzzy broke in blanket you always crave on the first big snow storm. It always just feels right. It's truly the libations comfort location for the Rino area. They have sports playing for all the important teams and everyone from the staff to the patrons are friendly. Come on in, come home and have a drink!!! Its warm cozy wooden bar design is very inviting however that does not beat the host/manager/ and servers treatment. They were older than the average and they took an interest that made me feel like this was their business/home. Add the amazing food (a cup of French Onion soup that was a reasonable size and price while having a combination of flavors due to the four cheese recipe that made each spoonful a pleasure. I highly recommend it. I also had the small antipasto salad which could have been a meal itself. It had the freshest vegetables and meats. It was flavorful even without the dressing. I do t know how this place is not a 5! We had such a great experience here! It was suggested by one of the nearby brewery workers and his recommendation was in point. I had an amazing fresh cucumber margarita with no gross chemical flavoring. The wings were excellent, sauce, cook, etc. Some of the best wings we have had. If you're looking for a local place to grab a cold one and some wings, this is the place to try in downtown Denver! The wings were absolutely phenomenal. We had garlic parm, buffalo, sweet Thai chili and the Carolina gold wings. They came out fresh and flavorful with the perfect crisp. We also tried the cranberry walnut salad, Caesar and the house salad which were all fresh and great. I had the perfect lunch on a lovely Saturday afternoon at the Walnut Room. We ordered the Margheritaville pizza which went perfectly with the Flatiron Pepper Co. crushed pepper. The Buffalo wings were perfectly crispy and had the right amount of sauce. We also tried their cranberry walnut salad and it was delicious! Then the waiter messed up our pizza order, he brought out the wrong pizza, so they had to make another one. But after last night's Yelp Elite Event Megan R and I were feeling particularly hungry and The Walnut Room had just what we needed. The Atmosphere: As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the smell of their delish pizza! Mmm... They have a couple seating areas, one adjacent to the bar area and a larger room towards the back. On this particular evening the had a guitar class in that portion of the restaurant. I knew that they had occasional concerts here, but I had no idea they held other events as well. Neat! The Staff: Meh. Our needs were met without much of a wait. Our server did check on us to ensure that we enjoyed our meal. Nothing really wow'ed me personally though. The Food: So good! I've heard a lot about their pizza in the past; naturally that was my choice of meal. I chose the Margherita and it was fantastic! Fresh ingredients, a super thin crispy crust, and baked to perfection. I'm glad I went with my gut and stuck with what smelled so amazing when we walked in. Portions were decent and price was on point. I love a place that doesn't break the bank to deliver a good meal!
