Love this place! Car wash (plural) gets rough reviews like Cajun restaurants for some reason. Arbor has had the same staff for years, they're nice and knowledgeable. I do the $19/month unlimited and all my truck maintenance. Arbor is legit, my go-to for 20 Update: I ran to the coast and back, nighttime both ways, bugs caked on thick, grill was solid bugs and Josh at the front missed it, he normally will tell me to go home and do some pre-wash before he sends me through, tried full mud once, now I know better. My man at the pre-wash stopped me and did fine work with limited time to knock on the destruction, truck looks great *from a drive through, another great experience. read more

It's been a minute since I've been to this business to have my vehicle washed. I returned because his company contracts with them for their company's vehicles. This was good enough for me to come back. It was very easy to select the wash I wanted, and travel through the wash tunnel. The brushes did a good job getting things off the windshield. The employees on the dry line did a solid job washing my windows and cleaning the floors and dash. It had been a while since this had been addressed, so I was interested to see how well they would handle this. I was pleased that it was done well. I will return here in the future. read more

Paid $30 for the basic inside-and-out service, assuming I'd get a clean car. Turns out, that just means a quick swipe with a rag inside--not an actual cleaning. If you actually want your car cleaned, it'll cost you $75. What the hell? Even spoke to the manager, who said, "This looks like a clean car to me," as if the service matched what I paid for--and if I wanted a more thorough clean, I should've spent more. Wild, considering he runs a car wash. You'd think a car wash manager would know what a proper clean actually looks like. People go to a car wash to leave with a fully clean car, not a halfway job, no matter the price. If $30 isn't enough for a real cleaning, then just remove it from your services entirely. This car wash continues to let me down. Today I went specifically for the interior wash, and when I left, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all. The photos show the dirt, dust, and dog hair left behind. This was not a difficult cleaning job either. For $35 ($20 just for interior), this was a huge let down. Tried it out because of the coupon. As others have mentioned, it wasn't worth it. A $22 wash is basic and includes nothing that they say it does... tire shine, ceramic coating, etc. Vacuums are $20 extra, and no option to self-vacuum or wipe down. On top of this, the attendant was just off-putting and rude. The entrance is on one street, and the "express exit" doesn't leave you where you started... that was weird. There are too many competitors in the market to have rude service, a mediocre clean, and lie about what you offer. Take a pass. Go elsewhere. read more

The free popcorn and WiFi are helpful but the lady at the counter was rude especially when I just spent $140 for the vinyl and carpet detailing when getting my car wash. Everyone who worked outside was super nice and helpful and friendly. So was caught a bit off guard by her at the desk. She never smiled or said hello. Not going to buy an annual wash package based on how she talked on the phone but will come back for a $10-25 wash. Will buy an air freshener or fragrance from Amazon to avoid her. I spilled my water and she was very rude to me and I felt like a 12 year old and went to the bathroom to get paper towels. At Starbucks, the baristas at least give me a towel. So good for wash and will consider getting a detail elsewhere for better customer service. Also paid $84 dollars plus tax to get my headlights polished so for a customer who spent ~$210 a smile and hello and a spare towel is a small thing to expect. You really can't beat the oil changes here as they're always done quickly and come with a car wash, but what makes this arbor great is the people. I *think* the person who helps me in the garage is named Kendall and he is always great at communicating what my car needs in the moment and what can wait til next visit. I like that I can go here and never feel like I'm being sold oceanfront property in Arizona when I drive away. He is also just a nice guy who is so warm and kind, which isn't something I've ever said about an auto care provider in a yelp review! My wife took my car there to get an oil change and car wash. This place has really gone downhill since it changed ownership. When they changed the oil, they forgot to secure the skid plate, so when she approached the car wash, the attendants stopped her and taped it up, and she had to go back and get it installed. They even forgot to give her the sticker for the next oil change. The "free" car wash that is advertised with the oil change is deceptive, and now is only exterior. You have to pay $15 if you want the inside done. No more Ben's specials. We also had them replace the air filter. We had a trip that evening, and when we went to leave, the front A/C stopped working. I looked under the hood and saw that the air filter wasn't latched correctly and thought that it may have been related to the A/C. So we had to take a different vehicle for the trip and take the car in to be diagnosed. The mechanic said that the latches were not clipped correctly, and one of the clamps had to be tightened. The A/C blower was unrelated, but after all that, it sure made us wonder. We went and talked to car wash people, and they said it was a different business. So we went to the service manager of "Oil Changers" trying to get a refund. He was not very understanding, offered no concessions, and was just argumentative. So after a $91.62 oil and air filter change plus $15 vacuum interior, we had to spend $140 on diagnostics by a reliable shop to find out what was wrong. Lot of stress from poor service. We loved Arbor Carwash before and have used them for many years. We are not going to ever use them anymore. read more

Went in for a truck w/bed detail. The interior of the truck overall 4/5 Exterior 3/5: massive lack of attention to detail on handles, creases, etc. Truck bed 1/5: they did not do it first time round, even after telling 4 different people as I stopped it off for service that this was important and needed to be completed. They told me that sprayed it out with air, the bed will sticky with simple syrup and dirt, not oil as they were trying to blame it on. Second 'wash' ; I watched this time.... They drove the truck through the wash bay with the bed cover closed, again not washing the bed of the truck. Took the truck around a corner and I assumed sprayed it out with water. Drove it to the detail area and we're vacuuming the bed out. I was called over to check out their work. Lol. There was still dirt and sticky syrup in the bed of the truck. I did not have any more time to waste. There was no manager to speak with on location. The reception person said I could call their 1800 number to file a complaint. Business manager reply 8/9/23: Your reply is as helpful as the 1800 number and non existent manager on site. Appreciate the help on a solution and remedy for the poor service and $200+ I am out. And I'm well aware that big some corporate investors bought out this local car wash but I am SHOCKED that the last remaining loyal employees don't have fans out here working in this hundred degree + heat! And I'm really really shocked that they don't have nets over their oil change pits!!! Can somebody say OSHA!!! So I refuse to come here anymore if they don't start treating their employees, right! I was really happy to find this car wash, after my usual one closed/changed companies. I have a white jeep, so it's important for me to have a good car wash shop!! Especially during oak season! This shop does hand washes so it takes a tad longer than a drive through car wash but they have a big waiting area with wifi and even a desk if you need to get work done. They do an excellent job on my card and I have never had anything but exceptional service. The only thing I would change is that I wish the waiting area had a soda machine or vending machine to grab a snack or drink while I wait for my car. It is not a cheap wash but I have found that it is worth the money and a good value for the condition of my car. read more

STAY AWAY - Crooks. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years, but this newly owned establishment is the worst. I paid for a synthetic oil change for my SUV, but the technician tried to upsell me on various extras. When I mentioned that my engine was newly replaced, he seemed annoyed. Over the next few weeks, I noticed my car wasn't running as smoothly, similar to when the oil is near the end of its lifecycle. After 54 days, I decided to get another oil change at a different place. The technician there was shocked to see the oil was completely black and asked how long it had been since my last change. When I told them 54 days, they confirmed my suspicion that the oil hadn't been changed in a long time, much longer than 54 days. In short, the crooks at this shop didn't change the oil but charged me $100 for synthetic oil. Now, I'm worried about potential engine damage. I called and spoke to Sharon, the manager, who said she was new and that the previous employee who worked on my car was no longer with the company. She hinted that this wasn't the first complaint of this nature. She offered to knock off $20 on my next oil change, but I told her I would never return to this store or their franchise. What a joke. Their employee likely damaged my car and stole $100 from me by not providing the service. I also had to pay for a new oil change much sooner than expected. The oil filter clearly hadn't been changed, as it showed signs of weathering in the Texas heat. I do NOT recommend this company. They will rip you off. If you want your car to NOT be damaged, go somewhere else. They do not stand by their product. Steer clear. I'll start if by saying that the car was dirty and I expressed that when I arrived hence why I upgraded from the regular express wash to the deluxe $30 wash (and this is a drive through spot, not hand wash) as I needed the inside vacuumed and the car dried off. With COVID all proper precautions were taken. You drive up, you tell them what you want, they give you a ticket, you drive your car through the wash and then they dry it and have you go to the finishing spot. At the spot they vacuum and dry it off as well as out the tire shine on. While this takes place, you go inside to pay and they give you a card to show you have paid. In the meantime you are asked to wait outside (they have some seats under a tree spaced out for social distancing). All sounds great, right? However for $30 I guess my expectations were set too high. I still have bugs on the front of my car, I had to ask them to come vacuum some missed spots and when I got home I saw other spots that were missed. I had placed things in a box that could be easily moved when vacuuming but from the crumbs still in the seat I can see that didn't happen. It was suggested that I bring my car in for a detail, which I thought yeah, maybe, but I can't shell out $200 when you are showing me what $30 looks like. They folks were super friendly hence the extra star but I had to go home and finish cleaning the car which isn't what I had planned after going to the car wash and spending $30. read more

I have only ever gotten the Lucy's Special wash. Today the light for the "Tire Shine" did not come on during my wash. I commented on this to the front desk, and lady there immediately offered me to drive through again. Note that this is my human eye vs their computerized system, so I was ready to be embarrassed by a lecture about how I must have missed seeing the light the first time because machines cannot be wrong. Grateful that she was proactive in making me feel heard and cared for. As for the automatic washes themselves, they have never completely cleaned all the crevices on my sedan and tires. But they get 98% of the job done - especially during pollen season - and are quick and reliable. I've never had my car come out still dirty like in others' photos, but I do wash my car fairly regularly so that dirt doesn't cake on. Hopefully my pics can help others know what to [not] expect from the washes. Considering today's customer service, I'll happily keep returning. read more

The "country dead animal smell" from the roast that was inadvertently left in the car overnight is now replaced by a lovely scent. Mats and carpet are immaculate. Every nook and crany is free of grandkid debris. They cleaned for over 2.5 hours and offered to give me a life home so I wouldn't have to wait. My first experience a year ago for a smaller wash and wipe here was not great, but when I complained the manager was very nice and did a once over. The counter attendant was really welcoming and the waiting area very comfortable. I'll just use the bundle services from now on. Give these folks another chance. read more

Wash is good. I like that they dry the car as best they can before you leave. Don't buy any detail services here. Their shampoo machine ripped up my cloth seats and no one answered my email when I wrote about it. I'm shocked no one noticed, or that they didn't tell me when it happened. Dropped car off for oil change and inspection. Got my car back and was running errands when I got a phone call. Tech had forgotten to replace a screw they removed. When I took my car back I noticed I was profusely leaking oil. They looked at it and determined the oil leak was a line to my oil cooler, said it wasn't their problem and weren't going to do anything about it. To be clear, my car was not leaking oil prior to my visit, and only has 17k miles on it. Took the car to the dealer and as it would happen the techs overtightened the oil filter housing causing part of the assembly to break. Now my cars in the shop for several days, I had to cancel my Easter camping plans, and will likely be spending hundreds on a repair bill. Thanks Arbor. Great service. They refused to change the oil in my 2020 Toyota Camry. They stated they did not know what oil to put in my car. My wife took it in for me and they refused to talk to me on the phone. This was the quote from my wife of what he said "I know husbands are supposed to know everything, but as a husband myself who does this for a living I couldn't tell you what we use on our cars". When this place used to be the "Arbor Car Wash", I worked at Spirit 105.9, the radio station, and I used to bring the station's vehicles to this car wash. They never failed impressing me; so much so that I would, on occasion, bring my personal vehicle there to be cleaned, even though I live south of the Austin city limits. Plus, the manager was always kind and polite to deal with. Well, it had been a while since I had been there, and since I needed to take care of some personal business in Austin (and my car needed a good cleaning), I decided to take my vehicle to, what is now "The Wash Shop". I figured that I would get the same quality service that I always got with the Arbor Car Wash. Sadly, I was mistaken. I paid for the full service car wash (outside and interior, at a total of $37). Don't get me wrong, the people at the finishing point were great in cleaning my vehicle's interior. However, when I got home and looked at the outside of my vehicle, I noticed a number of small cracks in the paint along the hood and a couple on the sides of the vehicle. These were not there before, so I suspect that this was caused by the automated cleaning apparatuses during the wash-thru. The vehicle's outside is black, so the small white cracks along the hood and the sides are quite a bit noticeable as you get closer to the vehicle. Therefore, I do not think that I will ever return to The Wash Shop to use their wash-thru services. I would have only given one-star, but the workers that cleaned my vehicle's interior deserved a star all on their own by their efforts. read more
