When I pulled out my card and asked how much it was going to cost, the guy behind the counter told me it was free of charge. Excellent customer service. These guys are pros. Manny was especially helpful. I bought a Bell & Ross watch from a dealer in D.C. while I was traveling for business a while back. Unfortunately, I live in CA, so when there was an issue with the hardware on my clasp, these guys were more than willing help resolve my issue. Manny arranged to have my buckle shipped to the manufacture to be repaired. In the mean time he hooked me up with a replacement buckle so I could continue to wear the watch until the replacement piece arrived--at no cost. Zero Stars! Agree with other posters that the owner and employees are grade A jerks. I went in there to look at IWC watches since I already own a Rolex and looking at another fine watch to add to my collection. Was not busy but nobody helped me. I was dressed in shorts since its 90 degrees hot on Saturday. People were rude jerks. I told them later and walked. Why do people patronage jerks like this place? What a breath of fresh air "The Watch Connection" I had been at South Coast Plaza looking for a watch for my husband, too many people, not enough knowlegable sales personnel, I had to wait for someone to help me at the mall, then they could not help me out with any information! I drove southbound on Bristol and came upon "The Watch Connection"! Chad was exceptionally knowlegable, that guy knows watches! Then Marc was such a life saver for me, I have been looking for a specific watch by "Franck Muller", I have not had any luck in finding it anywhere, Marc not only found it for me, he special ordered it for me from Switzerland and it will be here in time for my Husband for Christmas. I have been to the watch connection twice and both times the two gentlemen who assisted me were professional and very accommodating. The first time I went to have a battery replaced and a link taken out of my Concord gold watch. They knew exactly how to adjust the links so they looked symmetrical and not off center and they replaced my battery at No Charge. The second time I brought my boyfriends Ulysses Nardin in for a second opinion. The first dealer wanted to rebuild the watch at a cost of $1,200.00 The Watch Connection repair person explained what was happening with the auto wind mechanism and how to prevent the problem from happening again. They were honest and didn't look down on me for not knowing alot about the Ulysses. I went there wearing jeans and a casual top.They treated me like I was one of their VI P's. Usually anyone around South Coast Plaza area treats you like crap if you aren't dressed in your designer wear (even though most of those sales people make $10.00 an hour and probably will never own a fine watch). I highly recommend the Watch Connection if you are in the market for a middle to high end watch.I believe they could repair any watch regardless of the brand. I also appreciate that they take the time to answer my questions about watches. The Watch Connection specialize in finer watches and there is nothing wrong with that. A store can't carry everything and they are not for everyone. Being in sales myself I understand the fine line of closing a sale and being pushy. For me it is more about building a relationship and the sales roll in. If you don't like the person who is working with you, kindly excuse yourself and start talking to a different sales person. Most successful sales people know or can feel if there is not a connection. If they are smart they will introduce you to one of their associates so that both parties will be better served. If they are greedy or pushy then they are not going to go far. When you come across a person who is rude and pushy, let them know how they are coming off (nicely) and then leave. read more

If you go to South Coast Plaza, you will find the highest number of high end watch boutiques all in one area. With the exception of Tourneau and Tourbillon, all of those boutiques specializes in only one brand. Nothing wrong with that if you have a particular brand in mind. However, if you want to see multiple brands all at the same time, it only leaves you with Tourneau and Tourbillon in South Coast Plaza and this store only about a mile away from that mall. My only complaint was that two of my favorite brands, Blancpain and Brietling were not in this shop, so for those you have to head back to South Coast Plaza. The thing that sets this store apart from the others is their friendliness, knowledge and their loyalty to all brands, not just one. read more

Years ago, I bought three watches from them and have had nothing but great experiences with this store. Rob is the gentleman who sold them to me and I found him to be a very knowledgeable, kind and helpful person and a great asset to that store. Every time I've gone there to change the batteries he had them replaced very quickly and at no charge. In fact i was there last week and Rob had the batteries replaced on my three watches within few minutes free of charge. I think for a period of a year or so he was not working there and I'm so glad that he is back. By the way, I was told that the store has a new owner now and I'm sure that they are doing their best to please their old as well as their new customers. During that purchase I dealt with Rob primarily and found him to be extremely accommodating and thoroughly knowledgeable in his field. As a whole, I've found the customer service to be outstanding. For that reason I much prefer Watch Connection of mall type chain stores where your never sure if you'll deal with the same guy twice. I bought my watch from Watch Connection and the customer service I received went above and beyond what I could ever have expected. I lost a diamond from my bezel and it was replaced promptly without charge. When I lost the second diamond they said that was unacceptable and replaced my entire bezel. Not only did they replace my bezel but they upgraded the quality of the stones and it is more beautiful than ever! I work with Trish and she is honest, trustworthy, and genuine. Excellent selection of Zenith watches, which is what I was after. The sales person was very helpful and helped me to get the correct watch strap from Zenith, as the stock strap was too small for me. I would highly recomment the Watch Connection for someone who is looking for a fine watch, wants a good price and professional service and follow-up after the sale. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the strap took a little bit longer than I would have hoped for (1 month) but the sales person followed up with the manufacturer in Switzerland to make sure I finally got it. I walked in a while back and was happy to see that at the time they carried Giuliano Mazzuoli watches. I had been interested in a Manometro and was pleased to see that they had one in the color combination that I liked. I negotiated a fair price with them and figured heck, could get it cheaper online, but I prefer to support local brick and mortar stores that allow you to see the goods first hand. About six months later I noticed that the crown and stem had broken so I brought it back to them for servicing. They would not quote me a lead time for the repair other than to say probably a couple of weeks. After several phone calls 5 MONTHS later the watch was finally ready for pick-up. This is were it get's interesting. Once home I notice that the screws used to hold the strap on were replaced with the wrong size and thread. I assume they lost or misplaced the factory screws and decided to just jam a couple of whatever they could find it their place. One too loose to even hold the band on and the other cross threaded permanantly damaging the watch case. In addition, the case itself showed damage where they pried it apart during the repair. My advice to anyone considering doing business with this establishment is to go elsewhere. read more
