Very disappointing "service" & very limited hours. I took a watch in that had stopped, assuming it just needed a new battery. They stalled on such an easy fix, as they were only interested in selling me an expensive watch. I clearly told them I'm not a watch guy & would appreciate the repair. Finally they said they'd "tried 2 batteries & it was broken". It felt suspicious, so I took it to another watch shop. The guy immediately inserted a new battery which fixed it, & then told me water had gotten into it- despite that the watch had been sitting in a drawer unused since COVID started..?! read more

Tis The Season!!! For amazing customer service. I grew up in Costa Mesa practically my entire life and have driven past the Watch Connection over a 1000 times, never once did I step inside. Boy was I missing out... I happen to be in the area and needed to have my Tag Heuer examined after dropping it. I was greeted with smiles and no pressure salesmanship, what a great way to begin. Due to it being the Christmas season. So many stores are focused on selling you something right out of the gate or the salesmen lose interest in helping you if you're not buying that exact moment. I explained what my issue was with my watch and was presented a few options to pick from in order to fix it. I opted for the if you can fix it now I'll pay you whatever you want. While I waited, I looked over many of the new models, once again with no pressure to buy, just good conversation about beautiful time pieces and how much they've changed over the years. 10 mins later my watch was brought back and was in perfect working order. I was thrilled!!! When I asked what I owed I was told this one was on the house. I'm sorry but hearing free is hardly ever the case these days. Such an awesome experience, I salute your establishment. Thank You for not breaking the bank and showing me that good old fashion customer service still exists. read more

I am very disappointed with this store. I attempted to purchase Rolex watch through their financing. They initially were pleased to help me. Somewhere between the line, they completely changed their attitude and now they are refusing to assist me in getting my purchase cancelled. They change their answers multiple times and its been 15 days and they are claiming they canceled my charge however it is still showing pending and financing customer service is assuring that they have not cancelled the charge. Please BEWARE!!! They will be grateful to help you in the beginning, but somehow they start playing games and treat you unprofessionally read more

So, I have shopped here for years and purchased four watches from them. One of the perks has been free battery replacements. I stopped in to get some batteries replaced, I told them I did not need a new watch as I had just bought one from them 6 months ago. They replaced two batteries and then watched to make sure they were working. Turns out one was and one wasn't. They wanted $350.00 to send the watch in for an overhaul. Feeling like that was a large sum on a watch that he'd been working about a month ago. I then took that exact same watch to "a guy" who looked at it, opened it, cleaned the contacts, installed a new battery and confirmed that it is good to go. Now 24 hours later the watch is still working. They just lost a 25 year customer due to their dishonesty. I am really disappointed by this behavior. I recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

My wife lost a screw from the back of her Michelle brand watch. She called the Watch Connection in Costa Mesa and spoke to Rob Hashem who offered to look at it and see if he could find us a replacement screw. We brought the watch in and Rob took it back to his repair area. While waiting I noticed how bright and upscale the store looked with several brands of high end watches in beautiful display cabinets. There also was a nice selection of jewelry. In just a few minutes he returned with the watch, a new screw in place. When I asked "how much?" offering to pay for it he said, "no charge". I thought that was very kind and generous as the watch was not purchased there. If you're in the market for a watch, I would definitely check out The Watch Connection on Bristol in Costa Mesa. I ordered a Tag Heuer watch from Watch Connection that was supposed to arrive before a trip abroad to be an engagement gift. After multiple delays it never arrived, and staff kept evading my requests to provide order details, tracking information, etc. I ended up calling Tag Heuer corporate; they confirmed in an email that Watch Connection not only never ordered the watch, they didn't even have an account with the company. I was extremely frustrated. Proposals are meant to be a once in a lifetime event and because of this store's actions, I never had a gift for that day. After returning from our trip and waiting nearly 8 weeks total for the watch (which was initially quoted to only need 10 days), Watch Connection refunded my deposit. I ended up getting the watch directly from Tag Heuer. The staff at this store are pleasant, but in my opinion, I would do your research with the watch companies' corporate offices before choosing to do business here. read more

I received wonderful service from Marc and the Watch Connection! My husband has purchased several watches from the Watch Connection over the years and has always loved their selection, attention to detail and service. Thirteen years ago he bought a TAG watch for me after my dad had died - I was heartbroken, he wanted to do something to cheer me up and watches have always been important to him. I've worn my TAG nearly everyday and love it for the fit, design and sentiment. This past summer the band broke and because we live in Seattle now, I had it serviced at a local jewelry store. The band has broken three times in the same place since July. I finally mailed it to Watch Connection asking that they look at it and recommend the right repair. I expected Marc might send it to TAG which probably would've required a 6 week turn around and cost $100+ and I was prepared for that. I purchased a Dubey & Schaldenbrand from The Watch Connection about ten years ago for a little over $2,000. Right from the start, the watch did not tell good time, always running a few minutes behind every month or so. In the last two months, somehow that has reversed where it went right by the correct time and now is running a few minutes ahead every month. I think the worst watch I have had in my life for telling correct time - I had Timex watches when I was a kid that were more accurate than this. And yes, I did bring it back to the store early on, but got nothing but attitude. I will not buy another watch from The Watch Connection. read more

I went in on a mission, having read previous reviews. I'll cut to the chase: the negative reviews are gospel truth. FULL DISCLOSURE- I DID buy a watch, but only because they had exactly the model ( a then-discontinued item they had as NOS still in the case ) I was looking for at a very fair price point. A good price on a watch that nobody else had= hard to pass it up. That's the good part. The bad part? The salesman clearly assumed I knew less about his watches than I actually do/did. As a result, he felt free to wing it and spout BS about specs etc. Also, the staff was unbelievably pushy- borderline rude- even though I was actually buying! Even after I'd made it clear what I wanted, they tried to upsell me into a complicated piece with a suggested retail 6x the price of the watch I went in to buy. Finally, two of the staff had a very loud, angry confrontation behind the counter. This was extremely unprofessional. I won't be going back, decent prices or not. read more

I had gone to this store looking for a Tag Heuer Aquaracer watch. When I entered I was approached by a salesperson and I explained what I was looking for. I had done some research on the exact watch I was looking for and he told me that that particular model had been discontinued by Tag Heuer (The exact model is currently displayed at http://tagheuer.com). The salesperson then quickly guided me to another model watch, took it out of the case, and stated he would ring it up for me. I was thinking hold on a second buddy I am not purchasing a candy bar. After I told him I was going to think about it he quickly left without saying a word. This is not the way to treat a potential customer who could be spending thousands of dollars. Just went in for a repair. The repair technician was very friendly, professional, and quick. I really appreciated him waiving the fee for my repair since it was a simple fix. Wow! This store is terrible. I came here to have my TAG watch battery replace a few months ago because it's right by my house. After 2 months my TAG died again and the water vapor kept getting in my watch and got it foggy so I took it to Tic Tock in Westminster to have it looked at today. There were two major things that Watch Connection screwed up that I found out today: 1) they replaced my dead battery with an old battery that lasted only 2 months; 2) they broke the O-ring without telling me (major crewed up!) and jammed it back in that allowed water vapor to get in my watch. The latter problem could have ruined my watch. This store deserves a Negative star if there is one available. I will never come back here again and will not recommend this store to anyone to come here. read more

I replied that price seemed high and was told that "this is a high end watch establishment."I was not about to pay $80 to replace four batteries! Just left this place with the absolute worst taste in my mouth. I received terrible service. Maybe it's because I wasn't wearing a sports coat or a pair of slacks, but I didn't get a simple hello or even a nod of existence when I walked in. There were two sales associates and they were each helping customers so I figured maybe I should just wait patiently until somebody decided I was worthy of attention. Then inexplicably, after waiting quietly for at least 10 min trying to make eye contact with anyone who could help, an older gentleman who looked like he was made of money walked in and was immediately greeted and helped. Unless you stroll into the store with your money pinned to your sleeves I would stay away from this elitist establishment. If I could give a score lower than one star I certainly would. I just wanted to share with everyone my recent visit to The Watch Connection. After my girlfriend had taken my watch to another store in Lake Forest to have a pin replaced, she returned to tell me they would have it ready in 2-3 days and it would be $25.00. I was stunned and proceeded to go get my watch back. I then took it to the Watch connection in Costa Mesa where I was promptly greeting by Rob Hashem. His polite and helpful demeanor made me comfortable immediately. I explained what I needed, he took the watch back to the repair area and said he would be just a minute. When he returned he informed me that they were working on it and asked me if I'd like to see anything while I waited. He proceeded to give me a wonderful tour of their beautiful store and was very patient with all my questions. When the repair was completed he handed me my watch and informed me that there was no charge. The reason I give all these details is simply this, I found the professional customer service and attention is now a rare site in the retail establishments I visit. I believe that this was not any accident because when I returned today, I received the same great service and a very friendly greeting from the Owner, Marc Martine as well as the fact that Rob remembered me and made it a point to say hello in his friendly way. All this being said, I would and do happily recommend the Watch Connection and its staff to anyone who values great customer service, friendly staff and an amazing selection of the most beautiful watches.
