Let me tell you what kind of guy Eric is - when I first called because I was having issues with the water heater in our new home, I explained what was going on and he troubleshooted the issue over the phone by walking me through the process of accessing and reading the error codes. Then, instead of setting up an appointment, he told me to go through my home warranty service, knowing full well they would recommend a different plumber to me. All of this happened before he even learned my name, which tells you his dedication to doing things the right way. Anyway, long story short, the warranty service sent out another plumber. They analyzed the issue, got the same results Eric did, and then said it was not covered under my warranty. Whatever. So instead of having them do it at their full price, I called Eric back, he came out within a day, and fixed the issue for a little bit cheaper. He explained his work very thoroughly and it was evident to me that he knows his way around these water heaters. I've had issues with my water heater for eons. Last week, my water heater finally gave up and went to water heater heaven. Completely busted. Off to Yelp I went to find installers who could give me a bid for a new tankless heater, plus installation. Eric was one of the first I people called. I explained to him my situation. He listened carefully and was patient. He gave me some suggestions as to potential candidates for replacement heaters. I scheduled a time for him to come out. He came out to my house for an estimate. I kid you not, he spent over an hour trying to fix my busted water heater. In doing so, he probably made half a dozen calls to local suppliers and even the manufacturer to see if parts could be found, to no avail. This is before he even made a peep about getting me a new water heater and doing the install. In the end, we determined that a new water was the only way to go. To that end, he quoted me a very, very reasonable price. When he talks, you get the sense that he knows his craft quite well. The manufacturer of the water heater I bought also has him listed on their website with the highest credentials available. I felt comfortable and hired him. He started the job the next morning. Took him several hours to do the install. It wasn't an easy job. I was happy to have him work on the project. I get the sense that he is detail oriented, and that he really put some thought into the job. Like any profession, that is an attribute that separates one from the rest of the playing field. Update. A few months back my kitchen faucet began to leak and needed to be replaced. I called Eric hoping that he could recommend a plumber to do the job. He replied that he had a little extra time so he came out to inspect the job. I didn't expect him to do that as he specializes in water heaters. Long story short, we made a quick trip to his plumbing supply house, picked up a very nice stainless Moen faucet and he quickly installed it along with a new hot water supply valve. I was going to buy the same faucet at Lowe's but Eric informed me that these big box hardware store faucets may look the same but are made out of cheaper materials internally. 8/18/2015 I've known Eric for over a year now. He fixed my water heater in the house we once owned (I sold the house this year). We bought a house in Santa Clarita Valley. I called Eric today for his expertise. Our movers left our gas dryer unhooked to the line. My husband attempted to hook it to the gas line and successfully attached it but we're both too scared if he did it right. So today I decided to call Eric to check it. He said he'll be here 11-11:30. This guy Eric came to my home awhile back to fix my water heater hr gave me a 30 day warranty, my water heater goes out days later I call him and tell him what's going on and it's a totally different Eric that first came to my home big attitude says he can't come until the day I agreed we had no other option. Yes and Yes, of course to my amazement he's states most of his repairs are for this model and that I should call Rheem in the morning to ask for part that will shipped next day. I have a Jacuzzi Tankless Water Heater and I was not getting Hot water. Yelpers, your search has ended for a reliable, cost friendly, trustworthy water heater repairman. Our lovely gas company (said with deep sarcasm) triggered our earthquake alarm turning off our gas. When the gas company came to turn it back on they said our water heater was supposedly emitting carbon monoxide and they couldn't turn it back on. They said we had to find a licensed plumber come repair it. I went to Yelp searching for someone to help. This company was local so I gave them a call. Eric could tell right away what was wrong after a few questions, he gave an estimate over the phone and arrived when he said he would. He came on repaired the vent in about an hour and turned our water heater back on. Yay, we had hot water again! So thank you Eric for being one of the honest ones out there. If you don't take my word for it, call any other plumber and they will hem hum about what could possibly be wrong and quoted me $200-300 for the same thing. We were referred to Eric by another contractor because our hot water heater was leaking and we were considering putting in a tankless hot water heater. Eric came out immediately to look at our existing piping etc. He spent over an hour deciding on the best piping and venting routes and making sure he would not have to leave any pipes exposed.
