Mood all over the pillows be aware the manager has the nerve to tell me it's sweat the man is ridiculous and was upset we noticed the mood

The worst hotel I'm Puerto Rico the management horrible. We never got offered clean towels no one ever came to clean room we found mood on all the pillows in room complaint to manager and he had the nerve to stay it's from sweat no breakfast at the hotel no phones in the room just one horrible experience here please don't ever stay here

This place was horrible!!! THE ROOMS WERE DIRTY!!! Everything was sticky and not from humidity, literally like sticky rings on tables and stains... the sheets were dirty, they would not supply extra pillows and would only hand you an extra towel if you handed in the dirty towel you had...? GOD FORBID YOU NEEDED EXTRA SOAP OR OTHER TOILETRIES!! Our rooms had ants. The rooms themselves made no sense... 1 room had a safe the, other did not, 1 had an iron the other did not. We had 1 night stand and 1 lamp in the room... It was just horrible! All of the amenities they offer online are non-existent!! 1 of our rooms only had flat sheets no blanket. The rooftop bar is non-existent, the restaurant non-existent, the rooftop hot tub... was a joke... the jets are broken so it is just luke warm sitting water, possibly just rain water??? That alone is a health code violation! And they also felt it was ok to still send people into this hot tub, by saying it was "spa-pool" And the stairwell was not lit at all, it was a dark trap which 1 of us fell walking up the stairs. We also had items go missing from our hotel room. IT WAS SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, AND THE STAFF WAS CONDESCENDING WHEN LISTENING TO OUR GRIEVANCES... AND HAD A SMIRK ON THEIR THE ENTIRE TIME. If I could leave 0 stars I would!!

My friend and I had a great time staying here! The front desk folks are super nice and helpful. No, you can't flush toilet paper, but this is very common in most of the world. So if you've never left the United States or the UK, be prepared. They took our trash every day, so it wasn't an issue. And since my friend is also a dog trainer, we had little doggie poop baggies to put that kind of toilet paper in hoping to make it better for the cleaning staff. . As far as the temperature is concerned, we had a hiccup at first because it was freezing and we couldn't figure out the thermostat. Someone came to fix it and it was great the rest of the time. Here's the setting for the thermostat: cool should be on auto AND fan should be on auto. Then set your desired temperature. . The rooftop was nice. We were there off season so there were not a lot of people and the hot tub looked very clean. Thank you to everyone at The Wave!

The Wave Hotel on Condado Avenue in San Juan is a great place to stay by the beach and in the middle of everything. I really like the location and atmosphere here that allows you to relax and enjoy everything. The staff here is very attentive and makes sure that you have everything that you need for the best stay.

Had some problems checking in at first and front desk was kinda rude and unaccommodating. We needed an extra bed which they say they do all the time but they didn't get us one or even just offer us a room with a king size so we had to push our 2 twin beds together (it was 3 girls traveling). We got that situated. I would say the hotel is ok if you have the mindset that you're just at the room to rest, shower & go. It's nothing for relaxation. There aren't many amenities. One microwave on the 4th floor (none in rooms) in the ice room & it looks a little sketch but it's all good. They don't come and get your towels, you have to bring em down and exchange, no breakfast or anywhere in the lobby to have a little continental breakfast. The staff was sweet tho but it's just a very basic room. Kinda reminded me of my college dorm but the staff really make the place what it is! I had to come down and request a few things. They do have a refrigerator, TV, and a safe in the room tho!

Complimentary breakfast on the rooftop. I was expecting a larger selection. It's useful for a quick bite, but there was no eggs.

This is my second time in PR and when I tell you this hotel really out did themselves. From the fresh smelling lobby to the rooftop views, my experience was amazing. The rooms are clean (and that is a pet peeve for me). The rooftop was serene. I visited during the 4th of July weekend and it wasn't too crowded. It was quiet and comfortable!

They recommended so many amazing places to eat and shop, in and out of the property. The prices for food on the property were reasonable and there were a lot of different options for food choices. The big Concha restaurant on the property is absolutely gorgeous at night but it is a bit pricier than the other food options on the property. There are 4 pool ameneties you can choose from, with one being adults only. I loved that you have the different pool options. However, I wish the pools were bigger. I felt like it made more sense to have fewer pools but, bigger to fit more people but, we were comfortable in each. The beach is beautiful and every day there were plenty of surfers riding the high tide waves. It wasn't the best beach for swimming since the tide was so high and waves were really strong but, lifeguards are on the property to help those who have trouble getting in and out. We stayed close to shore to prevent any accidents and enjoyed watching surfers ride the waves each day.

For a hotel charging over $200 per night, I expected much better service and attention to detail. The property showed signs of poor maintenance, including dirty floorboards and dusty areas throughout the resort. The staff was also disappointing. While the location is excellent, the overall experience fell far short of what I would consider a luxury hotel. Based on my stay, I would recommend saving your money and considering other options.

The only logical explanation is that this policy makes the room prices appear to cost about $200 a night less than the real charges. Otherwise, why not just raise the advertised price by 20%? There is no doubt the property is in a gorgeous location, sitting directly on the ocean. The buildings are in good condition and the staff is courteous. But, I experienced several shortfalls compared to my expectations for this price point. The suites are provided a "butler," but the available hours are 10am to 6pm. The service would be more accurately described as a concierge. Bringing coffee in the morning is not on the list of duties, nor assisting with unpacking or packing or other typical butler activities. Sending out laundry the day before my departure, I asked to have it folded so it would be easier to pack. Everything came back on hangers. My room did not receive turn-down service and fresh towels during the third night of my stay. I asked to have a car booked to the airport from the hotel. The butler got it backwards and booked it from the airport to the hotel. Good thing that I took a close look at the confirmation and noticed the routing was backwards. The breakfast restaurant, Ola, is extremely crowded in the morning with a 30 to 60 minute wait being typical in my experience. The front of the property is in a skeevy neighborhood so walking somewhere else for breakfast isn't a realistic option. It's not bad, but also not a top tier. property.

No issues were found in the new room. I will say the hotel breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast meals I've had. The potatoes were hot, fresh, and delicious. I had breakfast the second morning at the convention center and kept thinking I should have grabbed it at the hotel (their food was full of grease). There were 2 windows that basically faced inside the hallway. The shower pressure was not all that great. Also, the walls are thin. We could basically hear everything from anywhere close. You have to wonder how often they even get a chance to service and clean the thing. It's more like an oversized soaking tub. The great thing about this hotel was its location. Everything we wanted to go see was within walking distance. Literally no more than 8mins away. Sadly, the day we were leaving I was persuaded by the guy at the front desk to allow him to get a taxi for me. There was a 3 day festival coming and he says Uber/Lyft won't be able to make it to us because they are clearing the street to get ready. However Uber showed someone can come take us to the airport for $9. Anyway, I let the guy call his taxi person. Got to the airport and I felt like I got ripped off. Charged me $40. The location was convenient, the staff members we interacted with were generally pleasant, and the hotel served as a good home base for exploring the city with our children. Our room was comfortable, and the hotel helped us create many wonderful family memories during our visit. We especially appreciated having a convenient location for visiting Old San Juan and other attractions. However, there were several issues that future guests should be aware of: First, there is a daily resort fee of approximately $45. While these fees may be common at some properties, the charge came as a surprise and significantly increased the total cost of our stay. Greater transparency during the booking process would have been appreciated. Second, we received information indicating that breakfast was included on certain days, yet we were later charged approximately $90 for breakfast (it consisted of scrambled eggs and yogurt)! Another issue was the room phone. On multiple occasions, the phone did not appear to connect to the front desk, making it difficult to ask questions or address concerns without going downstairs in person. Finally, beginning around 10:00 PM each night, there was noticeable thumping or pounding noise coming from above our room. We were usually tired enough from our daily activities that we were still able to sleep, but lighter sleepers may find the noise disruptive. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and made many lasting family memories. The hotel has several strengths, particularly its location and family-friendly atmosphere, but improved communication regarding fees, better resolution of room service issues, and attention to nighttime noise would significantly improve the guest experience. I just didn't really feel valued as a customer. I mean, if you nickel and dime someone over a discrepancy over a breakfast, it kind of gives the impression that you don't care if they come back or not. It isn't really about the money; it is more about the principle. If you are in the service industry, isn't it better to eat the cost of two eggs and yogurt as opposed to making a customer second guess themselves on returning and spending thousands? I don't know if I will be coming back or not (which is unfortunate, because I did/do really like the rooms, staff and area). But if you go: DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT INSIDE THE HOTEL. Just go and explore around the area (there are many great places to eat).

We considered the San Juan Marriott Resort and the Courtyard by Marriott, but we felt the AC Hotel was in a better location for us. After visiting all three major Marriott properties during our trip, the AC is the quietest. If that is important to you, then it is worth considering. It was important to us, and we were happy that it was not overrun with guests, especially in the rooftop pool area. When our car service dropped us off around 10:00 p.m., there was no wait to check in. We walked straight to the front desk and got our room keys. The front desk staff were very friendly throughout our entire stay, and we appreciated that. When we checked in, I was a little surprised by the mandatory 45 dollar daily resort credit, called a destination fee, that was added to our bill each day. We were required to pay it, then spend it in the hotel at various locations, breakfast excluded. If we did not use the credit each day, it was lost. We felt this was an unnecessary burden, which limited our ability to support local businesses and reduced our options. Our room on the eighth floor was very spacious, and it had a living room, a bedroom, and a balcony with chairs. The room was great, but the thermostat had strict limits, so we were never able to adjust the air conditioning to our preferred temperature. It always felt warm in the room, which I assume was due to energy conservation controls. We had a partial ocean view, which was better than most partial views I have had at other hotels. The view was great for photos and videos, especially during sunset. You could also hear the waves crashing on the beach, even though the hotel is not located directly on the water. There are a lot of roosters roaming around the area near the property, so we got the unofficial 5:00 a.m. wake-up call from them. It was a little disruptive at first, but after a day or two, we were able to tune them out. I want to give a sincere shout out to the housekeeping service. It was outstanding. Every day, our housekeeper came before noon and left the room looking like we had just checked in. It was some of the best housekeeping I have experienced at a Marriott property, and it really added to our stay. We tipped well, because they truly deserved it. The rooftop pool was another highlight. It was usually busy, but never overwhelming. We went several times, and we always found a chair or a couch to relax on. The staff at the food and beverage counter were friendly and efficient, but there were no poolside servers. Most mornings, we ate breakfast at Sobao, which is located at the front of the hotel, and you enter from outside. The food was delicious, and the dining room was always full and lively. The service was great, but they have two different lines depending on what you want to order, which was a little confusing. Unfortunately, we did have one experience that was disappointing. On Thursday, April 30, we tried to have dinner at La Bodeguita, the main on site restaurant. It was 8:30 p.m., and even though there were open tables, we were told we had to sit at the bar. The bartender gave us water and menus, then never returned to take our order. We saw him waiting on tables, checking his phone, and standing around, but he never came back. We were dressed for fine dining, so we didn't understand what the issue was. After almost twenty minutes, we left and went up to the rooftop restaurant, Bar C Lona. It was crowded, and there was only one bartender serving everyone, but she was friendly and working hard. The food was great, and we were glad the evening turned around after the issue at La Bodeguita. Overall, we were incredibly happy with the location of the hotel, the room layout, the housekeeping, the front desk staff, the rooftop pool, and Sobao. We were less happy with the poor service at La Bodeguita, the mandatory destination fee, the rooster wake up calls, and the thermostat restrictions. We would not rule out another stay at the AC Hotel Condado, because the pros outweighed the cons, but next time we will probably try either the San Juan Marriott Resort or the Courtyard by Marriott Miramar, mainly for their direct beach access. This review is meant to provide honest feedback about our experience, both to help future guests and to highlight areas where the hotel could improve.

If I can reverse back time and choose another hotel I would. I had valid reasons to be pissed and…read morethe manager and staff agreed I booked the reservation through a military website (American Forces Travel, partnered with Priceline). I get to the hotel, some new girl named Marselles said she couldn't see my purchase and without my knowledge charged a card on file for the reservation again (I didn't notice this until I went upstairs). I immediately return to the lobby because I noticed I was charged twice and ALSO the room they initially assigned me smelled of mold and was never cleaned (juice stains everywhere and random hair pieces in the sink.) when I complained about the smelled Marceles stated the smell was common throughout the island. When I spoke to her in Spanish and said "no the fuck it's not.". She quickly got quiet because she assumed I was a first time tourist or something. But also who says that? I asked to have a manager escort me to the new room so that we can observe the cleanliness together. The manager apologized. I then asked about the duplicate charge and she promised to refund the money and repeatedly apologized, offering that Marselles was new and still needed training. Okay, whatever. I was only staying for one night. It doesn't end there. The next morning at around 8am, the cleaner knocks on the door like she was police and asked about cleaning. I said it was too early and that my checkout was later on in the day. She had attitude. The worst part about this is that the cleaners were blasting music up and down the hallways and when I showed the manager the video, she seemed shocked. But everything was " we never do this. This is the first time"...whatever. They had a nice bar on the rooftop but it was blasting cold air on a rainy night. It felt like an icebox. Bartender nice. She made nice mint juleps but the "Jack Daniels" bottle was filled with a different type of whiskey because it did NOT taste the same. I promise you. They didn't even acknowledge or include my Marriott Bonvoy membership. Because of the chaotic mess, the manager said she would waive the incidental and hotel fees and guess what, I was still charged that. I called Marriott so quickly and filed a report. Worst Marriott stay ever. Now I have to go through corporate to get a refund by sending emails and waiting on investigation to start. The room for one night was over $500. They charged me twice resulting in over $1000 for a hot mess of a stay.
