The best vegan breakfast around! They have 3 vegan options for breakfast and they have non dairy alternatives for the coffee and lattes. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

    The entrance

The location was clean and tranquil. Not too far from the city streets but far enough to have a peaceful quiet night. The decor was superb with a lot of tasteful modern touches. I will definitely be back.

Very pretty boutique hotel! BUT we did not expect the bathroom and shower to be outside of our room. I would recommend this place for individuals who like glamping or are comfortable with lathering in bug spray before they go to bed. The beautiful door did not close off the bugs from getting into our room. We spent most nights taking a shower in the communal bathroom so we weren't eaten alive. Not what we expected after what was spent for a week stay. The staff were so lovely. They made so many great recommendations and helped facilitate all of our excursions.

I had been dreaming about staying here for years and I FINALLY made it happen. As a vegetarian, I am very grateful that this hotel exists. It is very close to the airport and everything else in San Juan. If you plan to stay mostly in San Juan you could get away with just ubering but we did rent a car. There is not lot but we had no problem finding street parking for the week that we stayed. We stayed in the Muse room. To be honest, this was expensive and more than I would have liked to spend but the hotel was so good it was worth it. You are a block from the beach and they provide beach towels and chairs. We did two beach days near the hotel and it was honestly perfect. The beach is amazing, very blue even though it's in the city. I felt perfectly safe walking around this area. It is technically in a gated community so it is very nice. Right outside the gated area are a bunch of restaurants. The food at dreamcatcher was also very good. They provide free coffee every morning and then pay as you go food from 8am-1pm. Everything I ate was very delicious. The menu changes frequently so if you see something that sounds good, get it! My favorite thing was the tofu huevos rancheros. It was incredible. They serve a dinner on Friday nights that was $65pp but we skipped to try some other things. The courtyard is also very cute, great place to get pictures and sit back and relax. I can't wait to come back. Puerto Rico has my heart!

The Dreamcatcher is a close as it gets to heaven on Earth. If I could move in and live there year round, I would! From the incredible staff, to the beautiful rooms, this is my favorite place I've ever stayed. In February 2020, my boyfriend and I took a trip to San Juan. From the recommendation of friends, we decided to book our stay at the Dreamcatcher. The process of booking online directly from their website very straightforward. We did try to book via another site, but it was difficult. We learned that there are many different room options at the Dreamcatcher, and I believe that is what made it difficult to book from other websites. I'd recommend directly booking on their website, I believe you they offer a discount that way! We selected a Sanctuary Room, as these had private bathroom facilities. Our room had a beautiful outdoor space, which included the shower and toilet, and an area to sit and relax with chairs. Before our arrival, we sent an email to schedule in-room massages and some excursions. The process of booking these was very straightforward, and the charges were added to our bill. For meals, we did not pre-pay for any because we wanted to check out the local food scene. The Dreamcatcher staff provides an incredible map with details regarding every kind of local business in the area, which we relied upon and found incredible places as a result. When we had initially arrived, we found it difficult to locate The Dreamcatcher, and I believe this was due to nearby construction and the bountiful plants surrounding the entrance. There is a picture of the main entryway attached. While it was confusing initially, I was glad to have the entrance feel a bit secluded. We had a rental car for our first few days (so we could drive ourself to El Yunque - which I highly recommend) and we easily found parking in the neighborhood, though it was a bit tricky navigating finding the entrance to the community that the Dreamcatcher is located within. We were able to check-in early and leave our belongings at the desk. We spent time playing chess in the communal kitchen space, which was beautiful. When our room was ready, we were blown away by how unique the decor was, and how comfortable the bed was! One of my favorite parts about the Dreamcatcher is that they have a mini fridge that guests can take drinks from, and the payment is based on the honor system. You can write down your room and what you took, and it would be charged to your bill, or you could leave cash. They also offer an assortment of chairs and communal sunscreens (free of charge) that you can take to the beach, which is extremely close by. I am so grateful that this was my last trip before the pandemic put an end to travel for a while. It was truly incredible, and I cannot wait to return.

Originally, my partner and I had made a reservation for one of the owners other properties. Upon arrival to initial apartment, we found out the A/C was broken. Mind you, it's 90+ degrees in early September. There was no communication from the business. We had to arrive to the unit to discover this. After reaching out, they offered us a selection between two of their local properties, one being Dream Catcher, also located in San Juan. The aesthetics are nice. We stayed in Room 66. Has outdoor bathroom and shower--which I was not a fan of. I'd much rather not have mosquitos nipping at my calves while I'm on the toilet, but low and behold, that's what happened. Luckily, the bedroom actually had a working A/C unit. However, the windows were not equipped with any net. So, dare you open the window or door for fresh air, you'll be inviting for mosquitos and a wide array of other critters into the room. Overall, nice place but definitely not worth $300/+ night. There is no pool to escape the blistering heat, so we found ourselves purchasing Resort Pass tickets to venture to other properties. There's no type of complimentary breakfast offering at Dreamcatcher. While visually and aesthetically pleasing, the nightly price just doesn't reflect the amenities and experience. Even if free, I would not return to property because it means consenting to being chewed up by mosquitos. I left with over 15 bites. The location is okay, though. It's nestled on a residential street. Didn't feel unsafe or anything. However, next time I think staying in downtown would be better. Thus allowing me to be within walkable distance from larger restaurants, other hotels, general tourist attractions, etc. There are dozens upon dozens of hotels in San Juan. I would not make Dreamcatcher by go-to. It's good for Instagram photos, but not somewhere to take up residence at. Personally, it was not a comfortable stay and not an experience I would want to replicate again.

Very dreamy, neighborhood place to stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico (specifically in Ocean Park). While the property isn't huge, it is definitely filled with incense, pretty colors, hanging lights, sounds of running water, and trees. It is truly a peaceful place to rest. There are no TVs, but ample WiFi. The common spaces are convenient. Hammocks are a fun plus. My fav has to be the outdoor shower, because I mean where else could you do that? (Besides public beaches!) The vegetarian and vegan meal options are cool, but just know those are extra and do not come with your stay package. I did appreciate the offering of beer and other snacks that you can charge to your room or pay via piggy bank in the kitchen. Communal kitchen fridge and silverware were helpful to have, too. Unfortunately, just didn't get to use that as much. The workers were great! Irwin welcomed us and we saw him throughout our stay. The other workers in the kitchen were lovely to talk to, as well. Finally, this location is PERF. Located in Ocean Park, it is a mere 2 blocks away from the ocean, and a few blocks from restaurants and bakeries (favorite one nearby was Kasalta!). Moreover, you can borrow beach tents and beach chairs while you stay there! VERY convenient. Just note that this place can be a little $$$

I've never stayed here as an overnight guest but I often stop by for breakfast and coffee in the wonderful courtyard. Very peaceful and elegant but chill. Super nice staff.

We stayed here for our tenth anniversary recently! Absolutely could not possibly say enough great things about this hotel from it's perfect location right by the beach and in a gated neighborhood (Ocean Park, Santurce) of San Juan, to it's wonderful staff and chef, to it's natural beauty and Puerto Rican hipster, boho chic aesthetic - if that even is a thing! I just could not say enough words to articulate the magical feeling that you get staying here and listening to the roosters every morning, ocean waves, church bells, and palm trees swaying in the wind or walking through the courtyard with it's twinkling string lights at night and listening to the native coqui sing. It's just magic. If you have a chance to stay here, absolutely do yourself the favor and the luxury! I didn't even mention yet that they offer complimentary beach chairs & umbrellas that are so light to carry and it's literally maybe a 2 min walk to the beach! These are a must! Ultimate way to relax on vacation! There are restaurants within walking distance, it's a short ride to Old San Juan and Uber trips are cheap!

This place is cute. The glass room we stayed in is small and cozy. I wasn't expecting to stay the night but flight cancellations changed my plans. I suggest if you're spending a day at the beach. The bathroom was shared with everyone who wanted to use it and there was an outdoor shower outside our room which offered no privacy unless you showered on the dark. The vegan breakfast was not all the way vegan because they served eggs. I enjoyed it and a mimosa. The community is gated and difficult to escape from. I had to walk through the streets at night to find my way to the main entrance which offered the only exit. I recommend for solo travelers and couples who are not over 5'8.

I wanted to post one last review here as we disappointedly did not receive the appropriate refund from the owners of Dream Catcher. American Express did do their part in reimbursing us some of the cost of the non stay because they felt so bad for our situation and it was the least they could do considering we were out nearly $2000.00 for the one horrific night here. If you are looking for a real vacation, I suggest the St. Regis about 10 miles away. This place will forever teach me how to handle future vacations and how the customer is just not always safe from bad business

I can't express how I will forever try and recaptivate this daydream. Dreamcather by it's name alone has a hippie tone to it, but I didn't see any hallucinogenic drugs, I did however, speak to a few very laid back, kind in demeanor, and casual in appearance guests and staff. The Dreamcatcher was unique in every aspect of my experience with them. It had a very soothing, relaxing, free, and safe feel to it. My favorite points. *Gated community - cars have one way in and one way out. Pedestrian entrances are closed after dark. *A skip from the beach (I saw the crammed resorts area, none of those looked appealing) *The personalized attention, I was texting the staff close to midnight on day one and we were always promptly answered. *The outdoor showers with no doors, that's hot. (you get indoor ones too) *I've never stayed in a hostel but the shared communal kitchen was really cool. You didn't share food just a kitchen. *The bed is what dreams are made of. *Every room has it's individual style, I couldn't choose, and thankfully they did it for us. *Hammocks for reading and siestas! *waking up in a garden of greenery, with incense just outside our rooms, and following them both to morning coffee. We didn't get to experience the vegetarian meals that were originally included but finally there's a destination I want to return to and when I do, I want to stay here at Dreamcatcher. It is almost unreal it's so dreamy. Warning: Having to leave will be your only nightmare.

Let me just start off by saying this isn't a regular/ normal hotel. It's different. Meaning there arnt any tv's supplied in the rooms. There are tons of plants and cats roaming around. I love how friendly staff is. Their cooks/ chefs are wonderful as well. Food was amazing each night. It's a great hotel spot where you can really get to know your partner without all the background noise of modern technology aka tv

There was a 3 day festival coming and he says Uber/Lyft won't be able to make it to us because they are clearing the street to get ready. However Uber showed someone can come take us to the airport for $9. Anyway, I let the guy call his taxi person. Got to the airport and I felt like I got ripped off. Charged me $40. That was a slap in the face. Why align your hotel with a shady taxi service??? For the money and location this honestly isn't a bad spot. We just needed a safe place to sleep close to where we wanted to walk to.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I stayed here in July 2025, and this place is infested with bed bugs. After two…read morenights, my sister and I were covered in bites. We found proof on the mattress: rust spots, molting, and live bugs in the seams. The mattress was filthy and clearly (see pictures) had not been replaced in years. Management is undoubtedly aware of the problem, yet continues to rent out infested rooms. We were switched to a different room, which was also dirty, but the damage was done. The management has since done absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. No refund, no compensation for our ruined clothes, and no apology for the immense stress. The presence of such a severe infestation implies gross negligence. Save yourself the trauma and spend your money elsewhere.

Rideshare is probably the move. Seating: Indoor bar seating plus an outdoor terrace area with ocean views. Plenty of room to relax and take your time. Vibes: You're in a touristy area so it's pretty clean. It's a polished tropical resort energy. Palm trees, ocean breeze, and people fully leaning into vacation mode. It's definitely tourist-friendly so great for lovebirds and families. FOOD / DRINKS Piña Colada (Recommend) This is the reason you come here. Just as advertised - creamy, smooth, coconut-forward, and balanced with pineapple sweetness without feeling overly sugary. The rum comes through cleanly, and the icy texture makes it refreshing. CUSTOMER SERVICE A little hiccup in the beginning but they started getting things going. TL;DR OVERALL 3.5 Stars. Solid. Selections were good, price was expected, same goes for the experience. If you desire experiencing Puerto Rico/cocktail history then go for it! However it was a bit touristy for me and I'm curious about the other spot. Aside from that if you're busy with family and this happens to be convenient for y'all, be sure to check it out! TIPS * The other home of the Pina Colada is the Barrachina Restaurant!

It was perfect. It was like that last year...ok no steel drums and way more corporate. Now when the sun goes down outdoors is basically off limits. Walk on the beach, nope. Sit along the shore, nope. So it's a lovely resort but this totally undermines the beauty of it. Might as well stay in old San Juan.

We stayed at the AC Hotel Condado in San Juan from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2. As…read moreMarriott Rewards members, we wanted to stay at a Marriott property, and we also wanted to be close to Isla Verde, where I stayed the last time I was in San Juan. We considered the San Juan Marriott Resort and the Courtyard by Marriott, but we felt the AC Hotel was in a better location for us. After visiting all three major Marriott properties during our trip, the AC is the quietest. If that is important to you, then it is worth considering. It was important to us, and we were happy that it was not overrun with guests, especially in the rooftop pool area. When our car service dropped us off around 10:00 p.m., there was no wait to check in. We walked straight to the front desk and got our room keys. The front desk staff were very friendly throughout our entire stay, and we appreciated that. When we checked in, I was a little surprised by the mandatory 45 dollar daily resort credit, called a destination fee, that was added to our bill each day. We were required to pay it, then spend it in the hotel at various locations, breakfast excluded. If we did not use the credit each day, it was lost. We felt this was an unnecessary burden, which limited our ability to support local businesses and reduced our options. Our room on the eighth floor was very spacious, and it had a living room, a bedroom, and a balcony with chairs. The room was great, but the thermostat had strict limits, so we were never able to adjust the air conditioning to our preferred temperature. It always felt warm in the room, which I assume was due to energy conservation controls. We had a partial ocean view, which was better than most partial views I have had at other hotels. The view was great for photos and videos, especially during sunset. You could also hear the waves crashing on the beach, even though the hotel is not located directly on the water. There are a lot of roosters roaming around the area near the property, so we got the unofficial 5:00 a.m. wake-up call from them. It was a little disruptive at first, but after a day or two, we were able to tune them out. I want to give a sincere shout out to the housekeeping service. It was outstanding. Every day, our housekeeper came before noon and left the room looking like we had just checked in. It was some of the best housekeeping I have experienced at a Marriott property, and it really added to our stay. We tipped well, because they truly deserved it. The rooftop pool was another highlight. It was usually busy, but never overwhelming. We went several times, and we always found a chair or a couch to relax on. The staff at the food and beverage counter were friendly and efficient, but there were no poolside servers. Most mornings, we ate breakfast at Sobao, which is located at the front of the hotel, and you enter from outside. The food was delicious, and the dining room was always full and lively. The service was great, but they have two different lines depending on what you want to order, which was a little confusing. Unfortunately, we did have one experience that was disappointing. On Thursday, April 30, we tried to have dinner at La Bodeguita, the main on site restaurant. It was 8:30 p.m., and even though there were open tables, we were told we had to sit at the bar. The bartender gave us water and menus, then never returned to take our order. We saw him waiting on tables, checking his phone, and standing around, but he never came back. We were dressed for fine dining, so we didn't understand what the issue was. After almost twenty minutes, we left and went up to the rooftop restaurant, Bar C Lona. It was crowded, and there was only one bartender serving everyone, but she was friendly and working hard. The food was great, and we were glad the evening turned around after the issue at La Bodeguita. Overall, we were incredibly happy with the location of the hotel, the room layout, the housekeeping, the front desk staff, the rooftop pool, and Sobao. We were less happy with the poor service at La Bodeguita, the mandatory destination fee, the rooster wake up calls, and the thermostat restrictions. We would not rule out another stay at the AC Hotel Condado, because the pros outweighed the cons, but next time we will probably try either the San Juan Marriott Resort or the Courtyard by Marriott Miramar, mainly for their direct beach access. This review is meant to provide honest feedback about our experience, both to help future guests and to highlight areas where the hotel could improve.

If I can reverse back time and choose another hotel I would. I had valid reasons to be pissed and…read morethe manager and staff agreed I booked the reservation through a military website (American Forces Travel, partnered with Priceline). I get to the hotel, some new girl named Marselles said she couldn't see my purchase and without my knowledge charged a card on file for the reservation again (I didn't notice this until I went upstairs). I immediately return to the lobby because I noticed I was charged twice and ALSO the room they initially assigned me smelled of mold and was never cleaned (juice stains everywhere and random hair pieces in the sink.) when I complained about the smelled Marceles stated the smell was common throughout the island. When I spoke to her in Spanish and said "no the fuck it's not.". She quickly got quiet because she assumed I was a first time tourist or something. But also who says that? I asked to have a manager escort me to the new room so that we can observe the cleanliness together. The manager apologized. I then asked about the duplicate charge and she promised to refund the money and repeatedly apologized, offering that Marselles was new and still needed training. Okay, whatever. I was only staying for one night. It doesn't end there. The next morning at around 8am, the cleaner knocks on the door like she was police and asked about cleaning. I said it was too early and that my checkout was later on in the day. She had attitude. The worst part about this is that the cleaners were blasting music up and down the hallways and when I showed the manager the video, she seemed shocked. But everything was " we never do this. This is the first time"...whatever. They had a nice bar on the rooftop but it was blasting cold air on a rainy night. It felt like an icebox. Bartender nice. She made nice mint juleps but the "Jack Daniels" bottle was filled with a different type of whiskey because it did NOT taste the same. I promise you. They didn't even acknowledge or include my Marriott Bonvoy membership. Because of the chaotic mess, the manager said she would waive the incidental and hotel fees and guess what, I was still charged that. I called Marriott so quickly and filed a report. Worst Marriott stay ever. Now I have to go through corporate to get a refund by sending emails and waiting on investigation to start. The room for one night was over $500. They charged me twice resulting in over $1000 for a hot mess of a stay.
