The view of the river from breakfast.

We love little quirky places and this hit the nail on the head! Our room was quiet and decorated to fit an early 1900s style, complete with hard wood floors and flowery wall paper. Breakfast over looking the river was included and it was delicious as well as quickly served. Sarah, the innkeeper, was helpful and friendly. It's a unique and beautiful way to spend a night in Bethlehem.

Quaint old New England Inn just outside of Bethlehem New Hampshire. Comfortable bed , clean room , quiet place on a small river. Dinner was really good having the steak filet and a full hot breakfast . Definite place for a stay of you're in the Mt Washington area . Say Hi to Sarah , Rhonda, and Montana. OH this place is on the local snowmobile trail!!!

Loved the rocking chairs & listening to the river while I read

I loved this inn! The rooms were spacious & clean, the beds comfortable, & the river right outside the sliding glass door with white rocking chairs?? Amazing. I sat outside & read in the crisp mountain morning & it felt like heaven. The room was already reasonably priced but add in the breakfast being included (which was lovely as well; nice view of the bridge & the food was good) -- probably a $15-20 value per person, & it being foliage season... very impressed. I'd love to go back to the Wayside, anytime.

My brothers and I stayed at an air bnb up the street, saw this place and had great reviews. Stopped in for dinner and was delighted with the scenery. The staff was friendly and prompt with their service. The downfall was the food. My brothers ordered the chicken with tots, ravioli (with some kind of mushroom pattie) and I ordered the fish and chips. The brother that had the chicken found a hair, my other brother that had ordered the ravioli said the mushroom pattie tasted like it went bad and was covered in oil and my simple fish and chips was so under cooked it was oozing batter. My advice for the owner is to stick to a simpler menu or find a new chef. You have such a beautiful location and a great staff it was a shame the food didn't match.

It is an older building, but well taken care of, has a river behind and the breakfast and dinner were both EXCELLENT.

In addition to hosting the party at the resort, we reserved all 20 guest rooms for our family and friends. From the very beginning, Dana and her team were incredible to work with--accommodating, patient, responsive, and genuinely kind. Planning a large event can be stressful, but they made the entire process easy and enjoyable. A special shout-out to Mazie, Paige, and Linda for their exceptional bartending service. They were friendly, attentive, and helped make the celebration even more enjoyable for our guests. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are stunning, the views are breathtaking, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The guest rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The golf course was outstanding as well. Trevor and his team went above and beyond throughout the weekend, constantly checking in to see if there was anything we needed and making sure our guests were taken care of. Their hospitality was exceptional. What sets Maplewood apart is the feeling you get the moment you walk through the door--you instantly feel at home. The people, the service, the scenery, and the overall experience are second to none. I highly recommend Maplewood Golf Resort for weddings, family celebrations, reunions, golf outings, or any special event. It has become my favorite venue in the North Country, and we look forward to returning.

Within hours of arrival, we were forced out of one filthy, unsafe room into another that was even worse. We encountered mold, broken fixtures, hotel doors with no lock, and blood-stained bedding on both the linen of all beds (what was stated to be possibly from drug users that frequent the location). Staff admitted the rooms were unfit yet failed to provide clean linens, stating cleaning service was unavailable and my wife and I would have to strip and remake blood-contaminated beds ourselves while our children slept in personal blankets in chairs due to the time of night. The situation escalated into harassment, dishonesty, and ultimately a police visit based on false claims made by staff (Kevin Jam). Management (Bija Patel/Vin Patel) upon discovering Jams harassment, mishandling, and misrepresentation of facts to Law Enforcement (which he was warned of) misrepresented their role, stating there was nothing they could do other than a 10% discount on our stay due to my family "being publicly humiliated in the hallway late at night". Upon departing, we contacted Best Western Corporate, they informed us although they utilize the Best Western name they do not recognize their affiliation. This property demonstrated severe health code violations, reckless staff conduct, and a complete disregard for guest safety and basic human decency. Avoid this hotel at all costs. When attempting a refund through Best Western they stated although the property utilizes the Best Western name they do not recognize their affiliation.

Despite few guests they could not offer a 20 minute early check in because they weren't cleaned yet. Security was lacking with unlocked but unmonitored doors around the clock. The hotel attracted traveling contractors arriving late and leaving early that crushed the vacation vibe. Overall disappointment.
