Fun place to go for some western swing dancing and some line dancing. But if you don't know either then it's not going to be a relaxing evening of dancing. You will either need to find someone else that knows it and is willing to take pity on you. Or deal with those that do know it dancing around you while you are either trying to learn or dancing like you don't care... if you choose to dance at all because there are other options. Like karate, billiards, or bull riding.

Very very loud and loads of people. (It is a bar after all) The dance floor is huge and dinner and a show is always great. Food was alright. Very overpriced food, with it not being that good. The fried green tomatoes were delicious though! The nachos were good. Also sweet which is different. Im pretty sure it is sweetened with Mikes Hot Honey. The live band was ok. Tables were bussed very often. Clean bar, clean bathrooms. Huge smoking area. For those who smoke. There are police and security who monitor the dance floor and around pretty often. Overall a great cowboy/cowgirl bar. Line dancing. Free bull riding. Karaoke area. Live band.

This place was an experience lol. We had a blast singing and listening to karaoke. The line dancing was epic and we tried real hard to participate but couldn't quite keep up If you are into country music/dancing, this place is for you. Bartenders were all awesome, even security were super cool dudes.

Traveling through Salt Lake City, for some reason, I wanted to eat at a pool hall. Luckily, West…read moreValley Billiards popped up in my searches and was close to the airport where I was staying. Not being familiar with th elocal custom, I sat at the bar and ordered a beer. I was told by the bartender/cook that I had to sit in the back to order beer. The place was split down the middle by a wall and a swinging door next to the bar. In front of the wall = cokes and sprite; behind the wall beer and hard liquor! Maybe those teenagers won't notice that we are drinking back there. Anyway, I got up, moved a few spots down the bar - past the swinging door and ordered a beer. They had the standards on tap with a local brew thrown in for good measure. This is the main reason I wanted to hit a bar for dinner - to try the local beers, so I was in luck! The menu had a staggering array of sandwich/hamburger options, so I wasn't quite ready to order when the waitress/bartender brought my beer and wanted to take my order. This was a mistake because she was the only waitress/bartender (there was a man who was a bartender/cook) for the entire place. Since there were at least 50 or more people in the place, she was a very busy woman. About 10 minutes later, she was able to take my order. Since the bartender/cook mainly focused on cooking, I got my food quickly and freshly prepared. I enden up choosing the philly cheese steak with fries. The sandwich was excellent, close to ones I had in Philly. If you're not from this small portion of the US or have never been, most everyone eats their fries with fry sauce, not ketchup. Fry sauce is pink and is ketchup and mayo mixed together. Its an amazing condiment and I don't understand why it has not spread into other parts of the counrty. Hopefully, West Valley can hire some more waitstaff or my visit was during a time when someone missed their shift. Other than the slower than usual service, it turned out to be a nice place to eat. As for pool, they have 7 or 8 foot coin operated tables, maybe 10 or so (some on the beer side, some on the coke side). I don't remember it being smoky, but i don't think people were somking maybe its not allowed. They had a poker tournament on the beer side while I was there. Decor and furnishings are very spartan, the place is in a shopping strip and it looks like it from the inside. Beers were reasonably priced ($4 or so) and sandwiches with fries ran about $6.

We arrived on a night when they were having a group event for Plant Night. It looked interesting and the attendees were making fun terrarium planters. The bar seats were all taken so we found a table in the back area behind the plant night group near the pool tables which were free play. We had to go to the bar to get our first round of drinks. I stood at the counter awhile without service when the senior bar tender stood nearby and wouldn't look my way. Finally, the other bar tender who was very busy acknowledged me and gave me our drinks. It appeared that the senior bar tender thought we were with the plant group activity and didn't choose to wait on us. After some time passed and we played a few rounds of pool, the senior bar tender came over to our table and filled another round for us. He seemed more friendly and approachable at this point. They looked like they also had karaoke and paint class as activities and other theme nights. My only downside comment is that we did not have any food, but we experienced a rather terrible smell of old fryer grease penetrating through the entire bar. The food appeared to be prepared behind the bar with a counter top fryer. That smell did not encourage us to eat and we were glad to get some fresh air upon leaving. I would certainly return again for the fun but hope the smell would improve upon my return.

Made us feel comfortable and was very cool to chat with. The service was great. And also, they had free pool. Couldn't beat that!
