The Hotel is gorgeous, walking in and being greeted by smiling faces that are willing to help is such a great feeling in this world now. Nice hotel very near airport. I had to rent a car and the nightly parking is pretty steep at $46 per night. Rooms and bathroom are very spacious. I really like how much space there is in the shower, the quartz, and the rainfall showerhead, including the handheld option. Service was friendly. Check in was easy but you have to ask for water and they don't just give it. Fitness center has a lot of cardio equipment, free weights so you can get a good workout. There's a full Starbucks inside the hotel and a decent restaurant/bar lounge. All in all a great day besides the high parking fee. read more

Check in was great! Quick, and friendly staff. Came here for a weekend wedding reception and wedding brunch. Very clean, plenty of shops and restaurants with many places in close proximity and walking distance. Near O'Hare airport. Parking is crazy at $37 and discounted because of the event but still not cheap. Great size room, spacious with wonderful fluffy beds and blackout curtains. My only issue was the tub, it did not drain properly. They have late check out. Everything at the reception and brunch was fantastic. I would stay here again but it is pricey. read more

The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The blackout curtains overlap by about a foot so you have complete blackout. Called and spoke to Noel at 1145 PHX time to request a feather free room due to allergies. We arrived at 1709. With a 3 a.m. wake up, it's just inconvenient. There was no note of the feather free room. It only took them about 10 minutes to accommodate. So we are grateful for that. The hotel restaurant is very nice. I wish there was a rating specifically for the management. I would give this hotel NEGATIVE stars. I hosted a conference at this hotel only to be treated like our business meant NOTHING to the acting GM David at the time. Regardless of what was promised to me by my salesperson, he was 100% intolerable. He politely treated us like garbage for our entire conference. Our salesperson was on vacation during our event and wasn't available to discuss anything we had been promised. At one point he even unplugged one of our exhibitor's displays from their designated exhibit room. He sited that it was too loud and was disrupting neighboring meetings happening however when we approached the meeting next to us to apologize, they expressed that they had ZERO issues with our exhibitor. One of their attendees even went into this room and purchased products from the exhibitor. We had multiple complaints about him specifically from exhibitors. We have been hosting this conference for 8 years without one noise complaint at any hotel we have ever used. To make matters worse, after this conference was over we never heard from our sales person or the actual GM of the hotel. I also was never sent an evaluation from the hotel after the event to review our experience which gets posted directly to the Marriott website and I also never received my Marriott points for hosting the event at the hotel. There are a lot of hotels to host a conference, corporate meeting, wedding or social event at in Chicago and this hotel needs to be avoided so that what happened to us, doesn't happen to you read more

I recently attended the #KAAN conference at the Westin, I did not stay at the hotel. But through the conference, I was on two different levels of the hotel and many different conference rooms. I also ate at their Benchmark restaurant twice, ate at Starbucks almost daily and went to the bar twice. The conference I went to was over 300 people so the central event space was the large ballrooms off of the ground floor across from Starbucks. Lots of circular round tables held our whole crowd and food was often set up in the hallway outside of the doors so that it didn't take up space in the ballroom. There was also a small room adjacent to the ballroom, where we could set up vendors and sellers tables. There were plenty of clean restrooms on either end of the ground floor. I never had to wait. I visited several conference rooms on the ground floor right by the ballroom, and several that were on the ground floor at the complete other end of the hotel. There was actually another conference going on that was just as large as ours, and it never felt too crowded. We also used several conference rooms, on other floors. I only visited the ones on the third floor. These were larger, had a restroom right in the sweet, had a work space in the back as well suite that either held round tables or "circle within a circle" seats. One thing I thought of was a plus is that in the atrium space where you can wait for your Uber while sitting in air-conditioning, on the TVs they often showed the local flights so you know if yours is running on time. One thing I wish they could've done a little bit more of is a few better options for vegan breakfast at the conference. Between the restaurant that they have in the options that are available at their Starbucks, I wound up buying breakfast both days since I wanted more than fruit and coffee. Bagel with avocado or hummus (continental), or oatmeal (warm breakfast) would be great! Plus then you could drop a bunch of the berries in the oatmeal. Overall, though, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a conference. They were even able to accommodate a last-minute request from us to set up a DJ. Maybe next year I will stay at the hotel. read more

Nice, clean hotel. The rooms are standard but the bathrooms are pretty modern and a pretty large size with extra closet space. The coffee area in the bedrooms is also pretty nice. The sofa in the room adds some extra space for guests to sit. Wish they had a dresser in the room though to place belongings instead of on the floor. Lobby area is spacious and modern (beautiful fountains and aesthetic). The restaurant/bar is okay but the bartenders and servers were super nice. Conference halls are a great size. Location is great. Shuttle service from the airport is convenient. The Fashion Outlets, Casino, and restaurants are all within a mile. Only issue I had was at check in/check out. There were two receptionists there but it took forever even though the line wasn't that long. A couple of them were kind of rude as well. Would consider staying here again. read more

This hotel is like a well-oiled machine! It is more like a mini-city. It has nice touches like a lavender perfume to help you sleep (?) and a bathrobe. The restaurant is a little pricey but better than expected. The maple glazed tofu was amazing! It doesn't get full stars because, well, the cleanliness level has much room for improvement. When I checked in I found someone else's TAMPON APPLICATOR in the bathroom! Housekeeping kind of half-asses it. Like one day I couldn't even tell if they came or not, so the next day I requested it. Westin ORD has super nice renovated rooms but out of all the Westins I've stayed at, it's probably my least favorite location. Employees are super nice and helpful, especially Javier at the front desk. The shuttle from the airport runs on a loop every 20 minutes, so it's nice not having to take the Blue train from the airport but I think what this location really has going against it is it's location as there isn't much going on around there. read more

With all the craziness in air travel, flight cancellations have been pretty common, and of course, it happened recently to us. Luckily I had a free night redemption with Marriott and Westin O'Hare is one of the hotels that qualifies. Took a short cab ride from O'Hare and check in was easy. The standard rooms are pretty big, and the décor is pretty barebones but decent, one you'd expect from a business oriented hotel. There's a restaurant on site, as well as a Starbucks. Took the free shuttle to the airport, which was nice. It leaves every 30min so if you're pressed for time, better to go with a taxi or Uber. read more

I needed a last minute room due to a missed flight connection. I was extremely pleased with The Westin O'Hare and will use them again when flying in or out of O'Hare. The room was spacious, clean, and newly updated. The sofa was spacious enough to open my large suitcase on. There was complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee in the room. Nice hotel. Was there for two nights for a business trip. I like that they have a super well stocked gift shop that's open til 10 pm. I had to buy a brush (they have a few diff options) and some contact solution (have various brands). They also carry Moroccan oil hair and body products and bathing suits. Really legit stock. And lots of nice gifts and books for kids and adults. Rooms were super nice and spacious. Very spacious bathroom that was like twice the size of a normal hotel bathroom. Beds were great and I loved the long sofa thing for my suitcase. I also actually used the nontraditionally shaped desk. Room service was great too! I usually get ptsd from food brought to me in a bag in a hotel room and this was that but the food and delivery were nice so I got over it. Super affordable room service food. I got a steak bowl with extra steak that they didn't even charge me for and it was pro about 8 oz of steak. Not Ruth's Chris but good and fine protein plus rice gluten free bowl. Great if you work out and need some nice clean calories. Gym is also nice and I went up in between breaks at the meeting. Smallish and could use more weights and fewer treadmills but they have good machines. Really good lat pull down and knee flexión:extension machines. No barbells or leg press tho. Anyway very useable and banged out a nice workout in a 25 min break. Very much a solid 4 star hotel. Great service at the front desk too. Super nice staff. read more

Clean, updated rooms with great customer service. We were satisfied with our stay. The only caveat was that I requested a room with a walk in shower and made it clear that I did not want an " assessable" shower as we are not disabled. But low and behold that's what we received.... Grab bars and a shower without doors for wheelchair accessibility. I don't know if there is a special way that one has to ask for a room with a king bed and walk in non assessable shower- but I apparently haven't figured it out. read more

What a sleaze bag deal. Booked a room at this hotel through Priceline. Pull up to check in; Pay lot for overnight parking. Checked three or four other Rosemont hotels; all paid lots. A mile south in Franklin Park, free overnight parking. Rosemont; is it not safe to park a car overnight at one of your entertainment facilities, or does greed dictate that the bar, booze, restaurant, and gambling money is not long enough? The parking money is needed as well? I wonder who owns the parking concession in the city? Again completely sleazy. I do not need to spend a dime here. read more

I am on a winning streak with my hotel selections. Stayed here overnight prior to an AM flight with a colleague. Shuttle Service to/from the airport is key, along with knowing they had a full Starbucks in the lobby. The property is well kept, the lobby is lovely. You smell that amazing white tea scent checking in. Front desk staff super friendly and welcoming. I had a room on the 7th floor at the end of the hall. It was clean and very comfortable, including a tube of my very own white tea lotion (living my best life right?). It is an airport hotel, so some of the furniture seemed pretty worn. Did not detract from the lovely room. The big win is you can walk to Giordano's and get some great Chicago style pizza. Even in the snow, it is maybe 5 minute walk tops -- next to the hotel property by the gas station. read more

I stayed here for a conference recently. The hotel itself is fairly nice, however: - Someone overdosed in the room across from me. Police, firefighters, EMTs giving Narcan in front of my room, rushed this dude to the ER, and some girl was questioned for an hour, and subsequently arrested right outside my door. I heard EVERYTHING, saw everything. - The doors are PAPER thin, which is why I called to complain in the first place (after hearing some not-normal noises coming from that room that were super concerning - it literally sounded like someone was being killed. Which, with that kind of OD, it very well might have been). This all went on for 2 hours at night outside my room. It was traumatizing to watch/listen to. I went downstairs after it all happened to talk to the manager after being concerned that I heard there were more people registered to the room, worried someone else shady might come back that night. No words to me at all about being the one to call, no offer to switch me rooms, nada. They told me there would be no one coming back to the room. Still concerned, I went back up and tried to sleep. Did not sleep AT ALL. Too shaken up. The next morning I went downstairs and decided I was going to check out a night early. When the girl at the front desk asked me why I was leaving I literally started crying (didn't even realize I had that in me but 2 hours of drug overdose/police drama + no sleep will do that I guess), and told her I was uncomfortable staying another night given what happened the night prior. I left that day with no word from the manager, no "hey are you doing okay?". I was there by myself and I am so thankful I had friends in the area that let me stay with them after that. At a minimum, as someone who has worked in the service industry prior, a check from the staff or management that everyone around them was good given everything that happened would have been nice. Despite the fact that this hotel is nice, because of the way this was handled along with the fact that "quiet" is the last way I would describe their room areas - I will never stay here again. We didn't have time to search for hotels, so this was the closest to the airport. I was not impressed because they needed to take care of the details. -Not enough towels -Only one toilet paper -No microwave ( only one small one in the lobby area) -No sugar or enough coffee cups -Dust on the floor I understand there is Starbucks and a restaurant. We went to both, but I like to drink coffee from the coffeemaker when I wake up and also love to buy food from outside sometimes and heat it. I don't know what you would do if you had a baby and needed the bottle warm. Recommendation: make sure there is quality control for the housekeeping department. I stayed at this Westin for 3 nights in September 2019 while in the area for work. The property is not far from the O'Hare airport, and has a handy, free shuttle to and from the airport that runs every 15 minutes or so. Since I was a Marriott Platinum member, I got a welcome email from an employee of the property a week before my check-in date, detailing some useful information ahead of my stay, including directions for the airport shuttle, parking fees, dining options, and fitness center hours. The shuttle information in particular was helpful to me. I landed at O'Hare around 10:30 AM on a Monday and only had to wait about 10 minutes for a shuttle to roll in. The shuttle was already pretty dirty when I got on; the previous riders had left a lot of trash behind. I was the only on the shuttle during my trip, so either I arrived after a really busy morning, or the trash was really old and the shuttle hadn't been cleaned in awhile. For comparison, I had stayed at the nearby Hyatt Regency with a large group of people before and used their (also free) airport shuttle and it was pretty pristine. The entrance to the Westin was pretty huge, with revolving doors and signs pointing to check-in, the Starbucks, etc. The guy who checked me in was really friendly and gave me a free upgrade to the 10th floor. He also remembered my name when he checked me out a few days later, which was impressive. The lobby area of the property looks very sleek and was always bustling when I came back in the evenings around 5:30 PM; the Benchmark restaurant is located right by the entrance and was always packed with people. The beds in my room were comfortable and clean, and the towels were really soft. I appreciated that the shower had a detachable showerhead as well as an overhead one, and 1 of the extra amenities in my bathroom was mouthwash (although I brought and used my own). The room itself was clean, but there was a faint odor in the bathroom; I wasn't sure if it was coming from the shower curtain or the toilet. It wasn't strong, but still wasn't a nice smell. The fixtures and furniture and everything seemed a bit old--well-maintained and all functional, but still not really as nice or new as some of the other Marriott properties I've stayed at recently. I understand they were doing some renovations at the time, although it seemed maybe these related to the exterior of the property. The big desk in my room was good for getting work done and there were plenty of outlets, but the ethernet cord set up at the desk didn't do anything when I tried to connect it to my laptop (the wifi worked just fine anyway). The hotel offers room service and appeared to have a good number of menu options, including pasta, seafood, sandwiches, and breakfast in the mornings. There's a Giordano's just a short walk away, if you want deep-dish pizza while you're in Chicago. Note that parking is not free and is not cheap at this hotel. Overall, this is a convenient and reasonably nice hotel if you're traveling to/from O'Hare. read more

When you think of the Westin, you think of a luxurious hotel with great customer service. This was not the case. While I have platinum status and they were nice enough to send up some nuts and sparkling water, that was the extent of their hospitality. This Westin looks a bit outdated, rooms don't feel especially clean either and there's almost a musty smell in the rooms. The first night I arrived, front desk did not have any toothpaste, which confused me a bit. They charged me for a room service charge that I never ordered and although I called accounting, I never received a call back. Front desk had no idea where the charge came from either. Gym is decent for a weeks stay and the Starbucks in the lobby is basically a full service Starbucks, although they do run out of things quite frequently. I stayed here for about 5 weeks in 2016 and I felt this place suited my needs and the service was quite good. However, coming here again in 2018 I did not have similar sentiments. Instead, I feel this is probably one of the worst westins I have ever stayed at. Was not really up to par. read more

I can't recall ever in my life staying at an airport hotel, so I was probably a lot more freaked out about the entire thing which made it completely fine. Shuttle service from ORD showed up within minutes of us hitting the pick up curb. We were at the hotel in minutes. Check in was super smooth and quick. My room was clean and tidy - had no issues with amenities and when I locked myself out one evening after a few of us girls hit the gym and I left my key in the room - security was up quickly to let me in and made sure to check my ID for security purposes - which I surely respect. Dare I say this, the saving grace - a Starbucks! and I NEVER EVER drink Starbucks. I'd been on a dairy free routine for 5 weeks leading up to my stay here and was very pleased to find a Starbucks in the lobby where I could get a soy latte after my morning workouts. Their run club on Tues. was non existent. After getting in late Monday evening and hitting the gym for a few miles at 1A I intentionally set my alarm to be up and ready for the 630A run group but to our surprise there was no one on hand to lead it. Not a big deal, the weather was a pleasant 44 degrees and my friend and I took off to the streets of Rosemont on our own. If you are staying here and need to get outdoors for a workout, there's plenty of space to do so without getting loss in an unfamiliar area. I'd never want to stay at an airport hotel again, but if I had to - this is a safe choice. Tons of flight attendants and pilots which was nice to see. I wish I'd had more free time I totally would have picked their brains as I admire these occupations, especially in this day and age but I was here for work and had my ass firmly planted in a conference room for 10 hours everyday. When I did have a chance to use the gym (3x) I found the equipment to be outdated. I wish it were better and I would have definitely been inclined to spend more time there. I just couldn't crank out the types of runs I'm accustomed to on these treadmills but something is better than nothing, so I do appreciate having the option. Of course, no great restaurants in the area - you're out near the airport, not downtown and an uber into the city in traffic is nuts. I'd definitely recommend the blue line, I've taken it in the past - not this trip but it's much quicker and far less taxing on your nerves than sitting in traffic. Getting back here from downtown takes far less time, later in the evening after rush hour. All in all, a pleasant stay with zero complaints for what it was and why I was there. read more
