Chicago has always been known for their spacious suites and Renaissance Chicago O'hare Suites did not disappoint. The lodging was more than adequate with complimentary hotel shuttle every half hour, 5 options to snack or eat at, an indoor pool, a covered outdoor overhang to stay dry while waiting for airport transport, clean spacious rooms and a TV greeting me by name. Although this was an unexpected stay due to an inconvenient delay requiring overnight accommodations in Chicago...we appreciated how easily we were able to use the voucher our airline sent us and that the hotel staff were expecting us. Overall we were pleased with this well run organization. Thankful, because a free hotel stay will trump a horrible night in the airport any day. This is a popular hotel for airport staff and guests. Plan ahead to make sure there is room for you on the shuttle. We didn't have enough space and some people were left waiting. Suites are spacious and comfortable. I didn't take a bath, but noticed the tub would be a perfect for it. Furniture in room was a little beat up, lighting in bathroom was harsh and bright. There's a large desk and plenty of space to work. There is a great little bar area with overpriced drinks- this isn't downtown Chicago. The shop for a handful of necessities that charges between $4-$8 for bottled waters, and a restaurant that has some good eats on the menu but service is a little slow, even when not busy. I love the gluten free notations. The only microwave I could locate was in the shop, near the front desk, and staying on a high floor makes for a whole journey to reheat leftovers. Lobby is super wide open and welcoming with plenty of comfy places to sit. This is a bug and busy hotel being near Ohare and convention centers/theaters. There's always something going on, so it isn't very quiet with all the coming and going. Room service is done at all hours of the day and night, including 11pm and not quietly. Parking is paid, garage only, and safe, with several different ways to pay, so make sure you specify at the front desk what you need. Spent 2 nights at this location. Checked in on Sunday evening and checked out on Tuesday. Check in was super smooth and the staff was very friendly. The girl at the the desk explained all that the hotel had to offer and she seemed to really enjoy working there. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience much of the hotel because I was in town for a graduation so my schedule was pretty busy. From what I could see, there isn't much to do around the hotel. An Uber to downtown was about $26, which wasnt too bad. Coming back tho, was about 60 bucks. Maybe it was because of the time of day. Im not sure. The hotel is very close to the ORD. The shuttle runs about every 30 mins and was very convenient when I was going to the hotel as well as returning to the airport. The drivers were very pleasant. The lobby is big, beautiful and welcoming. My room was pretty cozy, clean and had everything that I needed. I just think that they need to upgrade some of the furniture. I saw alot of holes. Excellent Stay. When the shuttle (runs every 30 minutes from airport) pulled up I thought they were closed. The entrance was dark and the revolving door was difficult to operate. Check in was a breeze. They recognized my loyalty status. The lobby was inviting and the suites were very comfortable. I would definitely stay again! The concierge lounge was open which was nice with a variety of offerings. We ate dinner at the restaurant, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I recently had a layover in Chicago and wanted to stay at a property with a hot tub after a long international flight. I was also looking for an airport shuttle and a hotel near the subway. Thankfully, Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel checked all those boxes. The staff here is great, and the rooms are spacious. While the property is located in an office park, I was able to walk to a 7-11, the subway station that takes you to downtown, and a couple of restaurants, all within a 10-minute walk. This location also offers an executive lounge with drinks and appetizers for those who book these rooms or have status. Overall, I would stay at this property again. The front desk agent who checked me in went above and beyond, making my stay truly exceptional. read more

This was an unexpected stay. A flight was delayed that caused us to miss a connection out of O'Hare International Airport. The evening receptionists were working diligently taking unending phone calls while checking in guests. They kept their cool and were pleasant and efficient. The early morning (4 AM) receptionist was somewhat terse and seemed annoyed we asked for a printed receipt. Room/Suite 303 was a bit tight to move around furniture but had everything we needed. The bed and pillow had little give I noticed when laying down to sleep but I slept through to my 3 AM alarm and rose without any aches. The room was quiet. The best feature of the room was the shower that featured a great spray radius and plenty of warm water. If I was rating the shower only, I'd give it a 4 for being very fan worthy. The complimentary shuttle to the hotel was inadequate for the number of individuals attempting to utilize it. On the way from the airport, we waited 40 minutes and encountered some individuals that had been waiting an hour. The shuttle was stuffed completely full with one person telling their son to stand, so they would both fit. We drove away leaving other individuals waiting behind. In the morning, we checked out at 4 AM and inquired if we should wait inside or outside for the 4:30 shuttle. We were told to wait inside. We were the first down to the lobby. Shortly after, others started coming. Some waited outside and there were a decent number inside as well. At 4:30 we counted heads and realized not everyone was going to fit. We made the decision to use an uber. The shuttle had not arrived at the time we left. read more

This was my home base during the working part of my Chicago trip, as this was the hotel reserved by the conference I was attending. The front desk team was attentive through my stay, whether with holding Ubereats and Shipt packages for deliveries of goods I couldn't get on a plane (cologne, body wash etc) or essentials that could be picked up at the lobby self service area (toothbrush, midnight snacks and Chardonnay). My room was pretty comfortable for business travel. The bed was large, comfortable and well appointed with pillows; the couch great to either read or catch a Power Nap. The shower itself was great and unlike a lot of hotels here I actually got liquid soap instead of little soap bars. Though the free Wi-Fi (with Bonvoy membership) reset like every hour, it was still pretty fast. Lighting could have been a little better for reading though (considering I was here on a work trip). Of course I went to check out the gym! Located on the basement (aka lower level) it is a basic hotel gym with a few free weights, treadmills and ellipticals. It helps to keep me balanced with indulgent Chicago cuisine I've been asking my friends about. Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy neither the sauna nor indoor pool. The pool isn't heated and the sauna was not hot at all. I did mention the sauna issue to the front desk but it didn't get resolved. The jacuzzi was relaxing though. My first night dinner was at the Asado Urban Grill in the lobby. The menu was scattered as it had burgers and pasta. The papardelle marinara with added chicken I ordered was pretty tasty, and the Sweet Home Chicago (Bacardi, Blue curaçao and citrus mixers) was smooth to relax after my flight. The steak frites I enjoyed my second night was a little more sizeable and well flavored. The catering staff did keep our group well caffeinated, and the conference spaces were well lit and had good acoustics. There's also a complementary shuttle bus to and from O'Hare Airport. read more

I stay here when I have to come into town for work. My place of employment is across the street from the hotel which is so convenient for me! I don't have to order an Uber to go to work every morning. Place is clean. The breakfast is really delicious. The bar is great and their appetizers are yummy. I stayed at this hotel expecting convenience as it advertises being an airport hotel with a free shuttle. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and far from what I anticipated. The shuttle only runs once per hour--something the hotel failed to communicate upfront. When I called to confirm shuttle details, I was placed on hold and seemed to be forgotten. I hung up after 15 min and called back and was immediately placed on hold again - and waited for another 15 min before I finally gave up. I also tried using the messaging feature in the Bonvoy app, but I received no response at all. I sent 10 messages with no response from anyone at the hotel. Ultimately, I waited 47 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. If they had simply communicated the schedule or responded to my inquiries, I could have planned accordingly (I would've taken a taxi or Uber), but the lack of service and responsiveness made the entire process extremely frustrating. The driver said it's not my fault - and he's right. The hotel should communicate better or get another shuttle. If you're looking for a hotel with reliable and responsive service near the airport, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

If anything please mount wall tvs that are a decent size. Those there dilute the experience. Staff was friendly and helpful and super quick. Great common areas and meeting rooms. The staff was friendly, our room was pretty big and quiet (given the airport proximity), and the hotel had a Starbucks and a restaurant onsite which was convenient. They also offer a free airport shuttle. The two downsides were that the rooms were outdated and could use some renovation. Plus, the furniture had some dents and scuffs, and curtains and shower could use a bit more cleaning. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying here again but Hilton Rosemont/O'Hare was better. read more

Not a smart TV - doesn't support access to all streaming services, like Hulu for just one example. It makes the facilities feel very dated. WIFI was not free! Front desk confirmed that. Who doesn't provide basic free wifi? Beds are double not queen and the bedding doesn't come with a separate sheet - just an integrated sheet/ comforter that can't be separated. Having been here for several days, the hotel has done an excellent job with A/V capabilities, cleanliness of the facilities and restrooms, quality of buffet breakfast and lunches, and exceptional customer service. As an example, today I brought my own lunch (needed a break from the heavy business meals I've had the last few days). I made myself fresh fruit with yogurt and was eating out of a Tupperware container. First time staying here courtesy of the airline when our flight was delayed, missing the connecting flight in Chicago and had to overnight before getting on an early morning one the next day. It was a short drive by hotel shuttle to the hotel. Check in was very efficient and organized for our group of a dozen. I had a spacious king suite on the 12th floor which was very modern and well decorated. Bed was comfortably firm with quality bedding. Good in room lighting. Lobby has plenty of seating and very high ceilings giving the place an upscale look. Good size gym and a mid size indoor pool possible to do laps in. There is also a sauna. Had a chicken quesadilla at the lobby bar which was pretty good and reasonably priced considering this being a hotel restaurant. Honestly great value if you need to stay over night at O'Hare before your departure. On my recent trip abroad I didn't want to miss my connecting flight so I stayed here for the night before my international flight. The shuttle was quick to pick you up and drop you off. The check in was easy and the hotel itself was not too far from the airport. Hotel staff was really friendly and the rooms are super spacious (you really get 2 rooms for the price of one, since you get a living room for free). The room was clean. The only thing was someone next door was smoking pot twice a day so we could smell it through our vent. But that's not the hotels fault. The hotel had a microwave in the reception area if you need to heat up your food since the rooms didn't have microwaves. However you do get a fridge. I had business at the US Cellular building, directly across the parking lot from the Renaissance, so it was a no-brainer to stay here, and the solid price helped make the decision very easy. Parking in the attached structure and check-in were both easy and efficient, though more on that a bit later. The lobby is quite nice, and I liked the elevators and hallways, too. You can get a great sense of the general repair of a hotel from the elevators and hallways. As the name mentions, the rooms are suites and are quite spacious. The shower is extremely generous--it was a bummer that I was there on business alone! I found the room to be quiet and the bed comfortable--really the two most important items when it comes to a hotel room. So why not five stars? When I paid for parking, I asked the front desk clerk about parking because we were not leaving until about 5 p.m. the next day. She confirmed that what I was paying would cover this, but when I left the structure, I was hit with another $20 fee. If you don't know something, please don't guess. read more

Came here with a couple of my friends for a great night out! I wanted to treat them to a nice hotel in the area and even wanted to treat them to a nice hotel room so I upgraded and got the VIP room. The price truly wasn't bad! Upon checking in, out of all the places I ran into 3 celebrities in the front lobby (who I won't want to name out of potential confidentiality) and talked to them for a few minutes which was the greatest thing I will remember for the rest of my life! If you're coming here via driving, you have to pay $35. Apparently there are in and out privileges that I wasn't informed about. The front lobby area and the rest of the first floor is beautiful. It has a Starbucks, meeting rooms a bar, beautiful front lobby with a fireplace. If your looking for the pool & gym they're on the lower level. The next stop was the room and room experience. For a VIP room, it was overall good! Not great. Beautiful views, pull out couch with a mattress but that mattress was uncomfortable. Bathroom and sleeping area was awesome. Loved the office area, dining table, comfy seats, mini fridge. There was an outdated radio in there and it didn't work, surprised it didn't feature a microwave. Overall good experience. They put a $50 hold on your charge card as well. Definitely would come back to this hotel. They also have complimentary late check out. Wi-Fi you have to pay for (unless you're a member), you have to pay for breakfast if you want that. Room service is expensive but that's how any hotel is. read more

I stayed two nights at the Renaissance for a work meeting and would stay here again if I was in the area. Service: 3 stars Upon arriving for check-in, the front desk was polite and speedy at getting me checked in and on my way. No complaints there. They informed me that room service is upon request due to COVID. This wasn't a problem for me because I don't particularly like housekeeping coming into my room while I'm away anyway, but I do feel like room service is expected by most people and that COVID is no longer a valid excuse. They are simply understaffed on housekeepers or trying to save money. Not an issue, but call it what it is. Room Features: 3 stars My room was clean and had a decent amount of space including a separate living area from the bedroom. The furniture looks a little dated in my opinion but was functional and included a mini fridge. The stand up shower was nice and had excellent water pressure. I know it is random but the toilet seat would not stay up which was a little annoying. Overall, a nice room. It had 2 TVs but both were much smaller than I have come to expect in modern hotels. Value: 3 stars This hotel is in line with most Marriott's that I've stayed at. I'm a Bonvoy rewards member, so internet was free. I do find it a little silly that internet is not free for everyone and that I was unable to access internet in the conference rooms without paying extra but this is standard Marriott practice to get extra $$$. Had to prove it to the guy checking us in. Then, I still had to argue with them to get the room we paid for. The fun didn't end there. When we returned, we called to get picked up and was told to go to the entrance drop-off spot at 2e. The guy told me should be about 20 minutes and I confirmed again where to go. Getting from baggage claim to arrives gate 2e wasn't very easy. After waiting for 1/2 an hour we called them and asked if he was on his way The guy said he told us the wrong pick up spot and the driver was on his way back and had to take some other people to the air port and it would be another 30 minutes and thst we would have to get to a different pick up point. This review is for a short 5 hour stay of the hotel. Unfortunately it was due to our flight (United Air) being postponed multiple times and finally cancelled before midnight due to weather (snow), that we came across this hotel. We actually got a better deal using the "Hotel Tonight" app than the silly discount voucher that the airline personnel gave us (called on the phone and asked for the total price per night). It is a mere 8min car ride from the airport so exactly what we were looking for (though there were 2-3 hotels that were closer but much more expensive). The shuttle came about 10-15min after we arrived at the hotel bus stop. On arrival, there was only one customer service rep to check us in. Granted it was past midnight but perhaps they should have a system to increase the concierge personnel when they know flights are being cancelled. After check in, we were assigned to a double full-sized bed on the 10th floor. As you can see from the pictures, the lobby decor is very modern and relatively clean and definitely seemed more expensive than the paid price. The room itself was very well organized. It looked almost like a tiny apartment with office desk, "living area," bedroom, and bathroom all separated in sections, which could probably be love-or-hate for someone else but we loved it. Shower and tub was decent but of course, the soap is extremely dry to the skin as most hotel soaps are. Shampoo is alright. There is a small fridge and two TVs, one in the living area one in the bedroom, which were awesome. Anyway, we went straight to bed and the full-sized bed did not disappoint. We had a good night's rest and ready to wake up at 04:45 to catch our early morning flight. We stayed there 3-9-24---3-12-24. Our room remained dirty. We first checked in it looked as if someone just threw the covers on the bed. The following days our room wasn't cleaned properly at all. Trash was not being picked up, sink or shower wasn't cleaned. Bathroom floor was not cleaned and they did not once vacuum our entire stay. We spoke with Steven from the front desk this morning and he just looked and passed the buck. He stated that today was his Monday and he wouldn't know if things changed with housekeeping. Huh??? He proceeded to hand us a receipt for our stay. The quality of cleanliness is poor. The attitude and the response from the front desk beyond unsatisfactory. This was a good hotel - great location - but not a great hotel. The road noise is crazy loud and the hotel needs a makeover. They were kind and since the Concierge was closed they gave us tickets to the restaurant; the food was good but nothing amazing. I give it three stars because the price was very good and the location was awesome for getting to the Blue Line - 3 minute walk and you are there. Great location just a short walk across two parking lots to get to the Blue Line CTA Station. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and have access the blue line. Walk in and adore their spacious lobby with a hallway to then left leading passed the Starbucks and leading to the parking garage. Large meeting area to the right. Behind the meeting area is the restaurant. My hubby made reservations and mentioned it was our anniversary. He even asked for and received a room upgrade. We had a corner suite on the tenth floor. We checked in around noon and dropped off our luggage. Returned later that evening and nothing special was waiting for us. No recognition of our anniversary at all. Not a note or turn down service, nothing. We also only had regular toiletries (bar of soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion) and a bottle of water with a price tag of $4 if opened. What?! My hubby has concierge access and we get rooms with nicer amenities. Where was the makeup remover packet? Mouth wash? The little niceties that one comes to expect from nicer hotels and especially suites. This suite was two rooms: one room has a large sitting room with a business table for meetings, couch, chair, & work desk; other room is the bedroom with a bathroom. We thought the suite would be a larger bedroom with a nicer bathroom. Nope. Since this hotel is built right beside highway 90 and the CTA and near by O'Hare, you guessed it. All the road noise and airplane noise is heard inside the rooms. Oh well, we packed ear plugs. Since the concierge is closed on Saturday we received food vouchers to get breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby. Good food. Bad coffee. read more

There's really no reason to stay here unless you need to be close to the airport. This is a forgettable hotel right by the highway and train. You could be in Scranton, Sacramento, or Indianapolis. There's literally nothing within walking distance as the hotel is surrounded by commercial office parks. The few perks include a regular airport shuttle and Starbucks that's open until 5:30pm. read more

PREFACE: I missed my connecting flight. SAS airline made the arrangements of staying here. With a $20 voucher for dinner and $10 voucher for breakfast. The airport attendants (coming from an international flight) failed to tell us that we had to call for our shuttle - at least that's what the lady at the front desk told me when I asked where their shuttle was after waiting 30 minutes for it. (Apparently that's how often they though?). SAS airline failed to also tell me the hotel required a $50 deposit upon check-in - the lady asked "did they not tell you that?". Or is this something the hotel should inform the airport about these things? I BELIVE 100% SO! I didn't choose to stay here, nor did I have the extra money to stay somewhere after a 3 week Europe trip. Check-in at the hotel: - I wasn't asking for sympathy, but you don't have to be rude either. Maybe help a traveler out who wasn't even meant to come to the hotel. - I had $30 in my bank account. Her answer "I need $50 dollars." With a straight face. That's it. And called for her manager "we have another one." What is that suppose to mean? - I ordered room service - that's another story. The room service people were fantastic. Burger was bomb! BUTTT The front desk called my room - said I couldn't combine the two vouchers together because I would be missing breakfast. Mind you, I called the airline prior to making my food order. Anyways... the front desk was SO RUDE about not being able to do it. "That's why we ask for a deposit". I'm having a hard time getting over how rude that lady was to me since check-in until I closed my eyes for sleep. The room was pretty clean. Great view of the freeway - haha. My burger was delicious. The chips and guacamole was perfect. The front desk in the AM (10/10) was fantastic and helpful! I would give that shift a 10/10... get it? Stayed here for four days for a short weekend trip in downtown Chicago. Hotel was very nice but there are a few little things that could be improved. For starters, be aware that it is $35 a day for parking each day you are there which wasn't advertised anywhere online. They rent the parking structure next door so you have to pay that amount to park daily and it is not included in the stay. It's about a half hour from downtown which we were going to everyday so if you're going there, it might be better to get a hotel closer and pay more overall because at least parking will be included. I didn't like the shower set up considering you have to open the door and step out getting everything wet in order to get your towel because you can't hang it over the door. Also, no microwave in the room which is irritating. Most hotels have microwaves in the room but here you have to go to the main lobby to use one. The room was clean though, and the bedding and pillows were nice and super comfortable. Overall, I'd stay again if it wasn't for the parking situation so if I ever come back to Chicago I won't stay here due to that. read more

It's an ok hotel. It's located right beside the Chicago O'Hare airport . We had our conference here & it was a great setup. There's a Starbucks location within the hotel. I was shocked that this was a Renaissance hotel because the rooms are very outdated & the rooms/ furniture need a serious update. The hotel gym also needs to be modernized. Yesterday evening, we attended a birthday party. Lisa the front deck lady was amazing. Very polite and helpful. There was a couple of the staff that was very nice and helpful but Lisa is top on my list because of her we as a group decided once a month we will be attending this hotel. Give Lisa a raise. After being stranded for days by Southwest we booked this hotel to spend Christmas at. They staff were very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant is a little pricey and the food is more fancy than we would like. All in all though it was better than expected for what we paid. read more

Out office is next door, so we go here quite often for meetings, breakfast and lunch. Always very clean and attentive. They have the standard buffet for breakfast and lunch. It's a little noisy, otherwise, very good. read more

Disclaimer- This review is only about the lounge. Although, my co-workers from the Boston and Dallas office said the rooms were nice. Went here after work for a team building get together since our office is next door in President Plaza. Drinks selection wasn't bad. A few beers on tap, and a few bottles. More mixed drink and wine choices. They also have free mojito hour, but these are WEAK and water down. However, that is probably why they are free as a teaser. Good apps and not bad prices for a hotel lounge in the O'Hare area. Our waitresses (we had two for the 8 of us) were fun, efficient, and kind. They were a bit stuffy at first, but loosened up as the night went on. By the end one of the waitresses was having a few drinks with us as the place was empty. read more

I have never in my life been treated so horribly by a hotel and it's employees! I travel 150 nights a year for nearly 20 years and I am writing this review at 3 am in O'Hare airport because is these people! I told the hotel that I would arrive at 11:45 pm for my room. I was delayed until 2 am. My flight is at 8 am. I needed 4 hours of sleep. They gave away my room. Chris the front desk agent was put out by even having to try to find me another room. I am lucky to have the highest status for marriott and it's lifetime as well. So to give away my room is beyond me. Add to it I checked in for it on the app. Did I get a call? A text? An email. Nope. No communication whatsoever. I arrived at the desk to have no room. I explained that I had to be at the airport and what could they put me in near the airport. She told me after making calls that there was a room at the marriott suites across the freeway on river road. Told me twice. Then called a cab for me and said the hotel room would be taken care of by her hotel along with the cab. I got in the cab and the cabbie after talking with Chris got the address written down. He the started to drive downtown! I asked where he was trying to go, we just needed to cross the freeway. He said no, she told him to go to this address by united center back downtown. Now note there is a marathon tomorrow in Chicago and I would be trying to leave at that time when roads are shutting down. The man working with her (I did not get this name) even called the hotel to ask about shuttle service in the morning and said it starts at 4 am! So either he was lying too or just made up what they wanted to get me out of the Lobby. As I said this is a first and horrid experience on so many levels. I would have taken a cot in a meeting room. I am so utterly upset and I work in the hospitality industry and just got done doing my own event for my clients and just wanted to go to sleep. Great work teaching your staff hospitality Omar.
