I booked a trip to Seattle 2 months ago, not expecting the Coronavirus to take over this city. When I called them for a refund, I was told that they wouldn't honor it or give any money back at all. I really liked the location of this hotel, there is so much to do in the area. Our room was pretty clean (and huuuge) and the bed was comfortable. What I didn't like is the fact that you get charged for a lot. We paid a lot of money for our room but to use their mini fridge is an extra cost of $10 per day. It's also not in the room already, you have to call for someone to deliver it to your room. Wifi was not free and they have a chiller underneath the T.V. that's supposed to be filled with snacks and drinks that they will charge you for If you use anything. At least they have the prices printed for them, but they also add a 20% service charge on top of that. I don't get it. If you were to store your personal items in there, you get charged $7 to do so. Ours didn't come stocked, though. The only thing that was in there was a cucumber that the previous guests had taken a bite out of. read more

I have been a bit of a staycation addict since the pandemic started so when I heard the Seattle heatwave was coming, it seemed like a good excuse to check into a local hotel I have never tried before. I have been staying in A LOT of hotels lately, so I was extra surprised to see that the lobby was bustling (including with a bunch of people who had their BARE FEET all over a glass table in the lobby--gross), while others have been pretty subdued. Check in went smoothly and staff was helpful. I know the mask mandate is ending in Seattle, but in most businesses, staff are still wearing masks (hello Delta variant!) so I was a little shocked to see how many staff members and guests were unmasked, even in the elevators. My room was nice and cool, generally clean and the bed was comfortable. However, there was a smokey/musty smell when we arrived. The bathroom was small but nice--but I noticed that the body lotion in there was half used already (I could tell because the way the light was hitting the tube made it so that I could see that there wasn't very much in there)--yuck! The view was just a city street, but still cool, and I love those panoramic windows. There was a coffee maker but no coffee, which in Seattle is like a sacrilegious act. They also aren't doing room service anymore, which was a bummer (that's one of the most fun things about staycations!). All in all it was fine and an ok place to stay on a family trip or something but you can do much MUCH better in the area for an identical price point if you are looking for a more luxe experience (the Grand Hyatt or Fairmont have been great!). read more

This place is downright tired. It is not what I consider Westin quality. The rooms are okay. The halls are kind of gross and in my last visit, clearly someone had holed up in the room and smoked weed for days or spilled bong water on the carpet because the stench in the hall was overwhelming. The front door was broken all 3 days I was there and getting your room key to successfully operate the elevator is a regular challenge. My husband & I stayed here for two nights coming from Detroit. The hotel is beautifully renovated and the rooms have a great view of the city. We traded some of our points for a complimentary breakfast at their restaurant "Relish" but were sadly disappointed to see it didn't include any type of eggs or meat. The complimentary breakfast included toast, oatmeal, fruit and coffee/juice - which on the menu was listed for nearly $20. I don't mind spending a little extra on vacation, but this seems a little much. The staff was very friendly & accommodating for the most part. Do not stay here if you want a stress free trip. Sure it's in a great location, but the flaws outweigh the pros. First and foremost, you have to wait 10-15 minutes just to get an elevator to go up or down. We had to pack all of our suitcases down the stairs because the line was still long and we had to leave. This is not a budget hotel, and doesn't feel like one. Parking in the hotel is $50/night, a tiny can of Pringles in the room is like $6, and I wasn't going to think about getting room service. That being said, you don't stay here because you are driving through town and need a bed. The reason you book the Westin is because the rooms are great, with Starbucks coffee or Tazo tea provided, white tea aloe shampoos and soaps, soft beds so comfy you want to sleep for days, views (select rooms only) where you can see the city, amazing exercise rooms and equipment, and more. My only complaint about the stay was that we opted to reuse our towels and get a $5/day credit at the cafe, and when we ran out of toilet paper it took them three requests and a day to get us more. Other requests, like for coffee pouches, came much quicker. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly, though my wife got a grumpy concierge that didn't seem overly interested in helping her. I've stayed at Westin hotels before. This was the worst one. It's especially ironic because this was the FIRST Westin and is considered their flagship property. The rooms weren't that bad but many little details failed. The most glaring example was the bathroom floor (see pic) which was absolutely disgusting. There was also dust here and there, and vacuuming missed detail areas around the edges. If this wasn't a $350 per night room maybe it would have been fine. But at this price range I expect the room to be cleaner than my own home. Can't comment on much else. Front desk staff was very nice. Didn't use any amenities. Lobby is fine. HVAC system in the room is squirrely. Doesn't seem to work good. Water in tub is weird. It's way too hot at first and temperature takes a few minutes to drop off. Hotel is very old. BED BUGS ! HAD TO BURN $1200.00 OF CLOTHING AND SHOES. Management could not access my confirmed prepay room. The manager who facilitated transaction previous night was the one telling me ' she had no access to program to see my transaction.' We attended a conference at the convention center this weekend and decided to stay at the Westin even though it's a little farther away than the Sheraton, Hilton, Hyatt and Paramount. Although the Westin is a busy, downtown business hotel, I've always found it to be more intimate than the Hilton or Sheraton. I love the architecture, large rooms, comfy beds and the fabulous view of Puget Sound. Wood finishes and horizontal lines dominate the hotel's interior design, revealing an early-seventies Japanese influence over the look-n-feel of the lobby and meeting rooms, but also extends to the guest rooms. Modern furnishings adorn each guest room, utilizing wood, glass and chrome to amplify the simple horizontal design lines. The rooms also feature large floor-to-ceiling windows with electronic controls to open and close both the drapes and sheer window coverings. Oh, and ask for a higher floor with a view of the Sound. Although the city views are excellent and a southeastern view might reveal a glimpse of Mt. Rainier (spectacular on a clear day when "The Mountain" chooses to appear), a room with even a partial view of Puget Sound with the Olympic Mountains serving as a backdrop is nothing short of "spellbinding!" read more

This is really close to EVERYTHING. They have the softest beds and it's quiet with beautiful city views. However, Westins are like Vegas hotels in that they charge for everything! However, if you become a Starwood customer (Amex gives Starwood gold status) a lot more is comped like the Internet fee. They are also so good about things like I forgot my shampoo and they filled my bathroom with bottles. Late check out? At least this Tuesday, no problem!! Very nice customer service. Tip: parking is 45 a night for guests and you really don't need a car if you stay in this area with the monorail and Max, etc so drop off luggage and go to adjacent garage. read more

They hooked me up ok right here. . I didn't even have a reservation. Well, I did. Until I didn't. I had cancelled a day ahead of time and had to take a flight to PDX instead of SEA. I then planned to stay in Portland. But again, things changed and I found myself driving north. I'm one of those types who tunes in to local radio and heard there was a Mariners game starting in a couple hours. Perfect timing but no place to stay. I took a chance and popped in here at the Westin. Memorial Day weekend even. No room here at The Westin but she called a sister property...no vacancy. Uh oh. Not looking good. But I was not turned away. "Just a second..." The magic happened. (I don't demand it, but I also never deny its existence.) 30th floor, "since its late enough in the day" and I there I found my heavenly bed. And view. And all the usual in-room amenities you expect. Way to "go out of your way" for the guest. This one goes down in the "best ever" books. As in "best ever front desk thinking on her feet." Checking with the manager without the guest's request etc. and finding a room where there is none. It sometimes happens. I've stayed here once before too and had an excellent experience. This more recent last minute stay even blew that one away. What is four stars magically becomes five just like a room can magically open up. Great location, nice property, excellent service - and sometimes, a killer view! I can confidently recommend this property and will stay again in the future. We were there for 5 days the last weekend of June. Location: The best thing about this hotel and the reason why I would stay again. Located right in downtown, close to restaurants, close to Pike Market, right across from a drugstore so you can pick up some water, snacks, etc. Really can't go wrong, you can even walk to Space Needle, although that is about a mile away and will take you about 15-20 minutes. Room: I actually liked the room, we were on the 33rd floor, and the view was nice. The room was bigger than I expected, and the bathroom was fine. Cleanliness: This is where I had some issues. We were gone all day one day until 3:30, and the room was still not cleaned. We were going out in another hour, so I asked that it be cleaned after 5, and when we got back from dinner, it was obvious they did very minimal work. They forgot to restock even the basic amenities. Elevator: What is going on with their elevator?? There was only one or two working, and it would take forever to go up or down. By the time the elevator arrived, it would be full to the brim with people, and since we were there during an unusual heat wave in Seattle, let me just say that the experience was never pleasant with people sweating profusely while riding 30+ floors. Husband and I would even make bets on which elevator of the four will arrive since there really just seemed to be the same two working each time (I won each time, haha). Noise: Pretty thin walls. The room next to us was really loud with people drinking and laughing late into the night, and actually woke us up from our sleep. We finally called the front desk, but nothing happened, so we had to go to the front desk and let them know. We didn't drive in Seattle, so we didn't have to pay for parking. tip: To get to the hotel from the airport, take the Link Rail and get off on the last exit, Westlake station. It's about 2 blocks from the station (exit 5th street). $2.75/ticket. Going back to the airport, it's the same, but it's $3.00/ticket the other way. read more

III heard they have some older rooms in the north tower, so steer clear. The room I had was nice and was kept clean. We came to Seattle to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. I got a great deal on this hotel through Southwest's website. I am OCD about hotels and was impressed with them. Check in was quick and the guy at the front counter was really friendly. We had wanted to ride the tram to dinner at the needle, since it was 4th of July, and he was nice enough to warn us, we may not get a ride back. However, we were able to go down on the tram right after check in and see the glass works and make it right back. You couldn't ask for a better location to transportation. The room was clean and the bed comfy. Which really, to me, is the second most important thing, after being clean. I would recommend staying here, and if you look around you can get a great deal for a great location. My son and DIL walked down to the waterfront they said in no time at all. read more

Call me an SPG-lifer but I am seriously super happy about having SPG and Amex this past year. I can't believe I've traveled so much without them! On top of the amazing deals and the great perks I get from SPG, being a preferred member or Gold etc. really has helped me find things like check in earlier, check out late, free wifi, random other freebies, complimentary drinks, and upgrades. I used to think I didn't care about these things but when you're spending about half of your life in hotel rooms things really start to add up. I really liked this place because the two Westin towers are round, which means when you're on a higher floor you are bound to get an incredible view everywhere you go. I do wish that they allowed some kind of balcony or open window, but I can see what kind of awful liability that would pose. It was well situated and extremely convenient for exploring downtown Seattle, Pike place and all the regular Seattle stops when you come here as a tourist. The only downside is that they don't offer a car service that takes you about 1 mile radius around the hotel, which Hyatts and other properties do in the area making it even easier for you to get around. Biggest con? don't park here! It's $45/night before taxes! Yikes! read more

I was initially put off when I called a day before my check in to request for "Early Check-in" because I was traveling with an infant and to ensure they had a crib delivered to my room. The lady that I spoke with was rude and before I could finish off my explanation as to why I needed an early check-in she basically told me no and ended our conversation. Thank goodness for Alyssa! She was the associate that helped me check-in upon arrival and was able to get me a room at once at 10:30 am. Shout out to the cleaning ladies too! We wouldn't be able to get into a room without them. I had reserved 3 rooms for my family and we were lucky that we got into just one of them early. I was able to change and feed the baby before sight seeing and get our luggage in order. Truly thankful for the customer service I received throughout my stay. Location: Loved how this hotel was centrally located. 2 blocks away from the monorail that takes you to the Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Garden, and the Museum of Pop Culture. All for $2.25 one way or $4.50 per person round trip. You can walk up to Pikes Place Public Market from here as well and get to the waterfront for the Great Wheel and the Aquarium. You are surrounded by all kinds of restaurants so you don't need to worry about renting a car. We actually didn't rent a car for the 4 days that we were there bc renting one was expensive and parking one was expensive ($47 a night at Westin, $30 a day at attractions) and a head ache. If you need to rent a car, there is a car rental place literally right across the street from the Westin. Or you can do what we did and Uber or Lyft to anywhere too far away, for example Bruce Lee's memorial or the Freemont Troll. Rooms: Very Spacious! We had a crib in our room and felt like there was still a ton of space to move around. The rooms was clean and cleaned daily. I was very happy with our stay. The only problem: This hotel is huge. If it's pretty booked it gets crazy! By crazy, I mean that there is a line to use the elevator to get to your room. We stayed for the NYE Weekend and Sunday when people tried to check out they jammed up the elevator. SO bad that we had to take the 23 flights of stairs down, with a baby and a heavy ass stroller. It was definitely a workout! Once the hotel was less full it wasn't so bad, but Saturday and Sunday night were super crazy. I'd definitely stay here again! read more

My husband and I cashed in on some Starwood points to stay at the Westin on a recent trip to Seattle. It was actually my first time staying in a hotel in this city, as I usually have friends to crash with. Two of these friends very rudely got married on the weekend of our trip, forcing us to find our own accommodations. The hotel was very pleasant, with nice staff, nice lobby, excellent downtown location. We asked if we could get a room on a higher floor when we checked in, and were upgraded without any resistance from a room on 18 to a room on 44. Every time we got in the elevator, I waited to see if we'd get off on the highest floor. We won every time but one. Our room was comfortable and neat with a great view of the city. Heavenly bed was great, and there was plenty of room to potter about. Our trip was lovely, and if our friends aren't too busy to host us next time we're in Seattle, I'd look into staying at this Westin again. read more

Sailboats on The Sound.. that was my view coming in the door. Wonderful surprise. AcK! After reading all these dang angsty reviews I basically closed my eyes when I opened the door expecting.. Egads the worst! To my chagrin(yay I got that in a sentence).. everything I have been reading in reviews was just plain, well wrong!! OK I don't usually do Priceline because you have little control over so many things except for how cheap you got the room. I did my research and was thinking OY.. why did I do this to myself. Too much drama for a night out on the town in Seattle. The room was a king for starters. Folks were writing about getting double beds. The room was quiet. Folks were saying noisy wind. The rugs were clean, no stains at all. The whole room looked very together. The 2 shower heads, plenty of hot water and plenty of water pressure. I thought they were a very nice novelty myself also. Plus - they have the mirror for your makeup where folks that are umm.. my age can actually SEE their eyelashes to put on their mascara!! Oh and I read all the horror stories about waiting forever for the elevators.. and we were on the 20th floor.. not so. I think I waited all of geez.. 2 minutes? Finally, the customer service folks at the desks, charming as all get out! Who knows.. maybe they just all cleaned up their acts but I was a happy camper. All that aside, I did wrestle with the wimpy pillows at night.. ya they were just on the collapse to nothing when you put your head on them. Not the end of the world though. The bed was comfy. Oh ya, the parking.. OK so guess what people? There must be a TON of places nearby to park for so much cheaper.. big deal! Get this. We found a place for 5 bucks! My husband's work had a conference at this Westin Seattle location. Since we both work downtown, we figured we would make a two-night 'night on the town' in our hometown. I have always referred to this hotel as the "Double Barrels" because of the dual, round north and south towers that make up the Seattle skyline. Thankfully with the Amazon boom, these outdated, eyesore buildings are becoming hidden. While I shouldn't complain since I took advantage of two free nights here on the company account, I will still take advantage of my opportunity. Downfalls: -You can tell that the buildings are older and constantly requiring renovations. While rooms are quite spacious and contain decent decor, they show some aging like in the bathtub and sinks with dings and cracks. The morning after my first night's stay, I walk out into the hall to the ceiling dripping from the ice machine a floor above. While they fixed it right away, I didn't appreciate the cold, rude awakening of water on my head. -The elevators are also old. Myself and another guest waited an additional for 10 minutes while the elevator opened and closed the doors on every floor going up to 35! Once I was alone, we agreed that if she heard yells she would call the front desk to elevator 3. :P -I'm all about relaxing at a hotel so I often take a bath. The bath tub water never became very warm and the water pressure from being on the 35th floor dwindled. To end on a positive note... Perks: -Location is prime being close to all downtown Seattle has to offer. It's within walking distance to the Westlake Center and South Lake Union transit, shopping, Pike Place, Lake Union and beyond. -The views remain quite outstanding from many of the rooms. Unfortunately, the pool and three work out rooms are on the 5th floor with not much to see. Where's my skydeck? ;) -At 6:30 AM every morning, they offer RunWestin with 3 and 5-mile runs to many of downtown Seattle's landmarks. You can also rent New Balance athletic clothing for $5 with socks that are yours to keep. For the price that these rooms go for, I wouldn't recommend staying here. While I am a Starwood Preferred Guest, I was disappointed. There are better places to choose from in downtown Seattle. read more

The Westin Seattle is average in this day and age. The volume of patrons to the hotel during my stay outweighed the ability of the elevators to service us. Granted during my stay it was a holiday, there's no reason to wait 30 minutes for a lift up to the 40th floor. The rooms creak as the wind blows between the two towers. The most annoying part of the room is that is never heated up. The biggest issue that I have is that o reserved for a king and ended up with two queens and a premium city view, but I paid for the Space Needle View which is no longer guaranteed thanks to Steve Besos. read more

We traveled w friends to Seattle and stayed at the wonderful westin Seattle. Trevor checked us in promptly upon our arrival (which was early in the day) and we went to the lovely room with an unexpected view of the gorgeous city skyline and the Pacific. The bathroom was a bonus with its decorative interior and beautiful bathtub ready for soaking, and a large lush Turkish shower head. We promptly deposited our bags and went downstairs to Relish. Terri was terrific and easily accommodated our traveling party of 9 cheerfully and promptly, with delightful food (truly excellent burgers and sides) and coffee afterward. She also handled our party early the next morning and even remembered our drink preferences from the night before, and happily gave suggestions for local purchases (she is terrific management material odor the westin team for sure!) We were within a 5 minute walk of Nordstroms, the Westlake shopping center and the monorail, which we took to our stop for the Safeco baseball field to see the Texas rangers play the beloved Seattle home team, the Mariners. My girlfriend and I took the rail back at 9:30, and felt quite safe walking back the 5 minutes to the hotel. We were also a 10 minute walk from Pike Place Market and the original Starbucks, so we took them there also, in addition to a walk through the market - so the hotel is remarkably convenient to most locations downtown. Upon our return to the hotel, on the return portion of our cruise, we stayed on the 33rd floor with a lovely view of the Puget sound - a beautiful vista from our windows. We accidentally moved a water bottle in the mini bar and Mr. Butter at the front desk smilingly adjusted the accidental charge for us, while the concierge gave us maps and info for the museums and walking directions to the monorail, since both were again only a few blocks away. Our first visit to Seattle & we stayed 4 nights for New Year's. The location was perfect! We took the light rail directly from the airport & walked the short block to the hotel. Pike's place was a short walk away (Take Pike Ave if you want to avoid the steep one block hill). We walked to the Space Needle once, which was a nice 15-20 minute stroll, but took the Monorail a majority of the time that we visited the Seattle Center. It's also a short 15-20 minute walk to the Seattle Waterfront. I highly recommend getting the CityPass if you plan on being a tourist. The hotel is close to a Bartell drugstore & the Westlake Shopping Center, in case you forget to pack anything. The Relish bar was a great place to have a few drinks. Our room was always cleaned promptly. The layout of the room was great. We took a bus at the bus stop directly outside the hotel to the University of Washington. It was a $2.50 -20 minute bus ride & if you hold on to your ticket you can ride the bus back for free the same day. Public transportation is excellent and being from Southern California it was refreshing not needing a car. There's tons of great restaurants & bars nearby. Would definitely stay here again. I can't stand the smell of the "aromatherapy" that the Westin pipes into all of their hotels. That they have a system for doing that raises my paranoia level that I'm surely going to come down with Legionnaires Disease by the end of my stay. The room had good city views but the carpet was worn and stained, the bathroom had no vent so every shower ended up as steamy as an adulterous affair and the couch looked like it had been the victim of a particularly intense teenage makeout sesh - and that was before housekeeping came up to pull it out and put sheets on. Since I was crashing with friends who bought the room I was relegated to said couch as my bed. Thank god I had my fair share of cava and rose that night. The bed was a nightmare construction of wafer thin mattress, sunken in the middle and pokey with springs. No "Princess and the Pea" bed here. Tack on $16 for internet use (I didn't) and $39 for parking ( I did) and you've got yourself a spendy room that's really just a glorified Motel 6 with a flatscreen. The location is good for being a super tourist and judging by the quantity of mandals and mom jeans I saw in the lobby I think a lot of people use it as such. read more

Incredible views and great location. TV is flat LCD with tons of HD channels so that is a plus. Two restaurants to choose from for room service. See my pictures for more. Good staff. But the place is looking a little long in the tooth. And, just in case any hoteliers are reading this, can we stop the horrible rainwater shower heads before they catch on? Just don't do it. I don't care how much water you save. The water has zero pressure as a result and is lukewarm at best. Thanks for letting me vent. read more

Fantastic location and comfy beds make the Westin an ideal place to stay while visiting!! I have stayed in few hotels in the Seattle area and I was very impressed by the Westin. The location is fantastic, you can walk to just about anything; Pike Market very close, all of the Tom Douglas restaurants are nearby along with Top Pot doughnuts and if you are a big shopper then Nordstrom and many others are nearby. Anyhow we stayed here for New Year's Eve celebration and WOW were they busy. I have not seen a line as long as I did for check-in anywhere, but they got us through the line quickly and all of the staff was extremely pleasant. The rooms were spacious and we selected a king-sized bed which was very comfortable. We went down to the bar and waited for another couple and their drinks were good as well. We also ordered room service in the morning and I was a little shocked at the price though. We ordered 2 eggs benedict and 2 Bloody Marys for 80 bucks. Ouch!!!! But at least both were very tasty and I did not have to leave bed. Ultimately a great place and might become the location in Seattle when I am planning on a big night!! read more

[4.25 STARS] I must say, I enjoyed my stay at the Westin Seattle! ROOM = +5 STARS I was surprised at how SPACIOUS my room was! I didn't book anything special, so I figure it's an average sized room...but it was nice and roomy! The room was large with LARGE windows that took up the entire length/width of the longest wall...right across from the bed. I had an AWESOME view of downtown, the hills, the water, and off to the left a view of the Space Needle! I enjoyed staring outside the window from the modern desk, as I sat in a nice modern office chair. There were plenty of lamps in the room in addition to the large windows, so the room was nicely lit. There was a good-size flat screen TV, a coffee station for you to brew the complimentary Starbucks coffee, and two big arm chairs for you to sit and enjoy your coffee. The bathroom was spacious and modern. The bathtub was a good size, and I like the dual shower heads and overhead lighting in the shower. THE GYM = +5 STARS Nice. Clean. The photos of the gym was a good contributing factor as to why I booked a room here. HOUSEKEEPING = +3 STARS I noticed that there were some light stains on the arm chairs in one of my coworkers rooms. The stain may have been coffee, since the chairs are located right next to the coffee maker. I didn't point it out to her, because I thought it was kind of icky. Um, but my room was A-Okay...so, yeah, tough! lol SUMMARY of my STAY... I really enjoyed my stay at the Westin. The room was a lot nicer than I had expected. I really LOVED the ceiling-to-floor windows and the view from my room! I'm taking 3/4 stars off, because of the centralized heating. I kept adjusting the thermostat, but for some reason, I couldn't get the room to get any warmer than 68 degrees! No, I need it TOASTY - at least 72 degrees!!! Um, so that is my only complaint. The location was not too centralized, not like the other hotel I stayed at, so it was a little more quiet (I prefer quiet) and it didn't matter, since I had a rental car. Although, I was busy with a business conference the days of my stay here, if I were to revisit Seattle, I would definitely not mind staying here again! TWO THUMBS UP! read more

The Westin Seattle - Loving my Room with a View! - Hotels Near Me - Seattle, Washington

If I had known they were going to have a convention/meeting/dance competition during this entire weekend I visited, I would not have booked this hotel. Unfortunately, since I had booked through priceline, the choice was not mine! This stay was probably the worst of all my Starwood chain hotels. I used to do a lot of traveling for work so I had gotten Platinum and Gold status. But now that I travel more for leisure instead of for work, I've lost that status and become nothing. And it was quite apparent during my stay here that was I nothing, even at $150 a night. We had arrived late into Seattle (12:20AM late) due to a 5 hour flight delay. Upon checking in I show the lady at the counter my SPG member card for her to enter my # for credit on any incidentals. She conveniently reminds me that since I booked with priceline I dont get credit for the room (yes, I know this lady, its not my first rodeo). Then I ask her if the place is fully booked and whether we can get an upgrade to a bay view. She says they are fully booked but she'll see what she can do (how can she "see what she can do" if the place is fully booked??.....sounds like someone just lied to my face). Out of 40+ floors, we get the 17th. Good, but not great. The view was a partial view of the bay in the north tower. Cant complain too much since again, I didnt book directly through the hotel. We were pretty hungry after checking in and saw that room service was good till 1am, so we quickly ordered some food. They had "small plates" on the menu so we ordered the small plate of cheeseburgers and the small plate of finger sandwiches ($8 each plate). When our food came, the guy called our dishes "kids meals". HA! Heres the kicker, first, the food sucked. If I wasnt starving, I wouldnt have ordered it. Second, it was out of control expensive. The food was super small in portion. They also charged me $4.50 for delivery, another $2.25 for service charge (no idea what thats for) and had a space on the receipt for me to put for tip! I ended up paying more in delivery, service charge, and tip than for a plate of bland tasting food! I wouldnt have minded paying if I thought it was worth it and that totally was NOT. The Sheraton is better! Now onto the amenities. First housekeeping only gave one bar of soap. I know Seattle is all about being green, but can I at least get a soap for my hands and a separate soap for my body? I'm not asking for a new bar everyday, just two so I dont have to tote around the same bar that gets mushier by the day back and forth from the sink to the tub! I let it slide the first night hoping it would correct itself. Day 2. Still working on the same bar of soap toting it from the sink to the tub and back again. Half of the shampoo is already used from the night before and housekeeping doesnt refill that either. So now I need another bar of soap and more shampoo. Day 3 I left a post note for housekeeping asking for soap and shampoo. Day 4 We got all the amenities but its 4pm and housekeeping still has not cleaned our room. What have they been doing??? Its 4:30pm and there is a knock at the door. "Housekeeping!". Seriously....seriously?! I have been walking around since 9am and you want to clean my room now when I've just gotten back and want some peace and quiet? No thanks. Just leave me some towels and let me be in my unmade messy bed. Speaking of the bed, that was the only thing that was great about this place. The bed really lives up to its name in that it is quite "heavenly". The rest remains undesired. The bed frame holding the bed basically has no head board. So dont bother sitting up comfortably. The pillows are mushy and small. No fluff to it whatsoever. Now on to the shower. I saw the double headed shower, but only got water to come out of one of them. What the heck?! I turned all possible knobs (or so I thought) and couldnt get the other shower head to turn on. Great. Basically two shower heads, and one for decoration. Total false advertising! I lived like this for 3 nights, during my 4 night stay. Did I also mention there was no water pressure either out of this one shower head? Even at priceline rates I was thinking I overpaid for a stay here. By night 4, we finally figured out what button to push on the damn shower head to get both going. At least I got to experience it just once. Whoopdy doo. Still overrated I think. And last but not least, is the elevators. We seriously stood waiting for an elevator that was not packed to the max with people for about 15 minutes. 15 minutes!!!!!There were 4 elevators but the same one kept being used while we were waiting. The other 3 must have been used for decoration purposes!!! How ridiculous! The best part of this hotel was the location. Thats probably it. I would have gotten better service at a big chain like Best Western or Holiday Inn without waiting forever for an elevator, or to have my hotel room serviced, and probably given an extra bar of soap! read more

Good hotel. Not the best Westin I've stayed in but decent. The hotel is actually pretty old but it seems as they have done some extensive remodeling. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The bathroom was a little too small for my liking. The staff were helpful and friendly at all times. There was a free bottle of water in your room everyday, not too many American hotels do that. And also if you forgot your training gear, they will bring you a whole set for only a few dollars. (Rent). So I thought that was great. Also the hotel was located soooo close to everything. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others. read more
