Great services, but this may be the most outdated Westin I've been to... great view though! don't forget to use the credits - on the last day, almost everyone in line at the coffee shop downstairs were tried to use the hotel credits.

Our experience with the Westin Seattle began when we attempted to cancel our reservation due to plans changing and hoping that they had a 24-hour complimentary policy. We were stuck on hold for an hour only to get an outsourced call center, which was not helpful. Oh well, we decided to make it work and stay. We arrived at the hotel around 11:30 a.m. and attempted to check in or, at worst, leave our luggage to go out into the city. To our surprise, we were able to, which we were very appreciative of. The front desk agent that helped us was very helpful and nice. After receiving our keys and making it up to our room, we were surprised to see it was not the room we had booked. We received a room with two full-sized beds vs. the one king bed. Due to how busy the front desk was and how long the initial wait took, we decided to just keep the room as we had somewhere we had to be at 1. We were very disappointed that we did not receive the room that we booked. This was our first time staying at a Westin property. The room itself was an average hotel room and not exactly what I'd expect when I hear "Westin". Our tv did not work. We attempted to unplug and look at the power strip, but we gave up and went to bed. The bed was pretty comfortable, and I enjoyed the pillows. The bathroom was a standard hotel bathroom. Overall, the total experience from before we arrived, trying to get customer service to having our room messed up with the rooms themselves being an average room at best, led to a 2-star review.

I love, love, love this location! The staff is top notch and you truly get the Marriott experience here. From the moment you check in and get a list of perks; coffee voucher, free boat tour tickets, and a food/bar credit your mini vacation begins. The rooms are nice and have some great views of the city, especially at night, when everything is lit up. It's a short walk to Pikes Place and all the fun activities. Publix transportation is easily accessible too. The staff at the bar is wonderful too. Knowledgeable and personable. The food is good and they have a couple things that are vegan friendly. I've never had a bad experience here and will definitely return.

The Westin Seattle is a bustling oasis in the heart of downtown. It's poised perfectly between both the space needle and the Pike Market if you're visiting for the first time. The two towers ascend about 40 floors for a view of the bay and the city buildings near by. Park is relatively easy but $60/nt. It was great for a business trip and if I were there for leisure and sightseeing it'd be a great spot, but a bit pricey for a budget traveler. The lobby gets very busy in the morning so anticipate not being able to eat breakfast at the hotel. With enough options close by there are better choices anyway. Didn't check out the gym but the hotel has a number of amenities (including borrowing gym clothes) as well as a pool.

Hello there, RoseMarie was amazing. Housekeeping, and Westin corp. you all need to know that this lady is a Gem. You are so lucky to have this woman as an employee! Please recognize her as one of your top employees! She is one reason why we will come back and stay with you in this hotel! You do not run into many individuals who make an impact on your life! Rose Marie did that, she deserves a raise! Feel free to send up a bottle of wine for our wedding anniversary! Room 4238 Thank you for being part of our happiness! I also want to recognize Roselene Mony....what a wonderful person/ she was there on the 28 of December... housekeeping! Please let her know as well as Rosemarie that they are both Gems! It is wonderful to know that you hired two Angels and some people don't even know it! Thank you two ladies for making our anniversary trip happy!

I went on a 3 day trip to Seattle and I wanted to try out this hotel. There were things that were great and not so great about this hotel. Here are my pros and cons about this hotel. Pros: Good location - hotel is in the middle of the Metropolitan area and easy convenience to the street. No restaurants besides the one in the hotel are around. A Marriott Property - I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and I earned points at this location. For a Marriott owned property, I enjoyed the amenities this place had to offer. Low cost budget hotel - For people who are staying in Seattle less than 3 days, this hotel is a great choice. This hotel falls under $800 for two nights. Now the cons: Keys and Elevators - Upon checking in online, I requested a mobile key to go to my room faster. The mobile key worked in every area of the hotel except the elevators. I had to go down to the lobby to request a physical key. If you want a seamless and fast experience, I would get a physical key instead of digital. Parking - Because I rented a rental car, I had to park on site. The main on site parking is super small for such a huge hotel. On the first night, I was able to find parking in the main structure. On the second night, the main structure and valet were full. I had to park across the street in their overflow structure. It was surprisingly cheaper at $15, then the main structure at $60. The overflow structure is connected to the hotel via a bridge. I would be staying here again only for the view of my room. There are other Marriott and Hilton properties in the area that are much better than this property.

We had to buy a cheap set of drawers on Amazon to avoid piling our underwear and socks on the table or TV stand.

Wonderful view, awful accommodations. We paid extra for a luxury top-floor suite. The view from our room did not disappoint but the accommodations did. For the price paid, we expected luxurious accommodations to match the view. Instead, our room had almost no storage space for clothing (we actually purchased a cheap drawer set on Amazon and had it delivered to the hotel and then were hit with a $10 "convenience fee" for hotel delivery). When approached, the management refused to provide additional storage or refund us the fee for the Amazon drawers. The bed sheets kept sliding off the bed and bunching up at night. The sound insulation to the adjoining room was terrible (we heard the neighbors talking and laughing all night). The coffee maker was of the lowest quality. Finally, there was no fridge or microwave (admittedly these last two are not customary features but we've definitely found them in other hotels at the same price point). While the room service was good and hotel staff were generally friendly, overall we cannot recommend the Westin Seattle to other travelers. Unless you want to store your socks and underwear out in the open or in your suitcase, find another "luxury hotel" for your travels.

Everything is old, damaged, broken, or smelly.

Cheap 1-star motel rooms for inflated 5-star prices. We hosted a conference here and it was a big mistake. Our attendees were extremely unhappy with the rooms, which were smelly, outdated, suffocating, and poorly ventilated. Not a single window opens in the entire hotel. No fresh air makes for some serious STINK. Our room smelled of feet and body odor. Things in the rooms were broken, stained, and damaged - unidentified stains on the carpet, windows smeared and cracked, furniture peeling (see photos). No problem if it's a cheap motel, but for $300/night??? NO. XXXX When we were switched to another room, the AC unit screeched all day and night - a horrid metal-on-metal sound. At first they told us it was "the wind." It wasn't. Turn off AC, no screeching. But since there is otherwise no ventilation, we had to keep it on, because it was suffocating without it. Also super inconvenient for conferences is the fact that there is only one escalator from the mezzanine conference rooms to the lobby and vice versa. So if the escalator breaks, as it did during our conference, there are NO STAIRS to get between floors. Which is a fire hazard, not just an inconvenience. In summary: run down, stained, sdirty, broken motel that overcharges and under-delivers.

Centrally located right across from a small mall with the monorail stop, as well as a shopping area and lots of office buildings. Two round towers, east to recognize, but a bit shorter than the other buildings around. Decent gym and amenities. The lobby and lobby bar are nice and there's usually free bottled water put out by the front desk, which is nice. Stayed at the north tower, midway up, with great city views and large windows. The closet and dresser was small. Blankets were a bit heavy for me, but otherwise beds were comfortable. Looks like they've updated a bit superficially, but there's no main lighting switch - we had to turn the lights on and off from the lamp switches manually. Stayed here for 5 nights, we were able to walk to most of the touristy destinations around, so the best part is the location. The monorail across is only $4 each way, but only stops at the Space Needle, still a nice ride to see the city above ground.

Time to upgrade, update and replace!

I only choose to stay at The Westin Seattle because of the proximity to my office that's it. - Everything beyond the lobby is in serious need of a renovation. Rooms smell funky, all the furniture is damaged and dilapidated. - The walls are paper thin. I could hear the conversation of the lady in room next door while she was speaking at a normal volume. - The WiFi is useless. I tried to connect unsuccessfully several times and when I tried to call the front desk for help, they transferred me to tech support who kept me hold and weren't very friendly.

Lavishly comfortable circular hotel with panoramic views, and an extensive breakfast buffet. Check-in was quick because an extra staff member came out when she saw there was a delay. The lobby is spacious and modern with a busy bar - we had to wait 10 minutes to be served because it was close to last call, but the atmosphere was pleasant for waiting. The elevators were reasonably quick for the size of hotel, given that one was out of service. The room had a stunning panoramic view of downtown (though no water views) from the 19th floor, and was amply furnished. The bed/pillows were extremely comfortable, affording is a good night's rest. Only the occasional noise of a downtown siren, or particularly loud talking and laughing next door penetrated the silence. The bathroom had a beautiful large mirror with hidden back lights that provided a pleasant soft lighting; towels were reasonably plush and pump-bottles of soap and shampoo avoided the usual plastic waste. Breakfast was a high point - larger groups had to wait 15 minutes because it was 9 am on a weekend, but the 2 of us were seated right away. There were 3 kinds of juice, an omelette chef with no waiting, an ample supply of bacon, scrambled egg, sausages, and pancakes. And an oatmeal station, and congee (delicious savory boiled rice pudding) for those with Asian tastes. We parked on the street because it was free Saturday night and Sunday, but that's an attached garage with exorbitant fees in keeping with the usual Seattle downtown rates. Valet parking is accessed from the East side of the building off of Virginia and 6th Ave. The location is walking distance to Seattle Center, Belltown restaurants, downtown shopping, and a 20-minute walk to Paramount or Moore theaters. We paid about twice as much as a budget suburban hotel and felt the extra expense was well worth it.

The Westin was our overnight stop for our upcoming Alaskan cruise. Located in downtown it's walking distance to Pike Place and the monorail just outside will take you to the Space Needle. It's a very nice older property that has been excellently maintained and updated. The room was large and absolutely spotless, the bed and pillows were the best and gave us a great nights sleep. The views are of the city but we enjoyed them. In addition there is a light rail system from the airport that has a stop less than two blocks from the motel for very affordable transportation. We paid Uber $60 because we didn't want to struggle with our luggage. I highly recommend this location.

Here for a work trip, and chose this hotel for its middle-distance from the nonprofit I was there to visit and the touristy spots I knew I wanted to walk to on my "free time" (it was a lie, I had no free time.) I checked in kind of late on a Thursday night. The guy - I wish I'd caught his name - working registration that night was the kind of employee you want welcoming your guests in for a stay. Friendly, helpful, funny, he made me feel immediately welcome and eager to explore the hotel. He also took a lot of time explaining their resort fees = hotel credits scheme to me...which promptly fell out of my exhausted head. I was in the North Tower on the 24th floor. He upgraded my room, which was nice and a bit unnecessary, given I was traveling alone. Still, I did appreciate the extra space in the living room, which I took advantage of for some in-room exercise for the duration of my stay. The room was comfortable - large and clean, with a decent-sized bathroom and lots of places to lounge close to the windows. I had a view of the downtown streets, nothing too exciting, but it was pretty to look at with all the lights on at night. I wish I could say that I got great sleep while I was there, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were good, but the first two nights there, I was kept awake by some strange and loud knocks and bangs coming from the walls. When I got up to investigate, it seemed to come from the wall behind the headboard, which would have been the room's bathroom. But there was nothing happening when I walked in there. The second night, the banging and knocking sounded more metallic in nature, and emanated from the space above the A/C vent. Again, I stood under the vent for a bit to try to pinpoint the noise, but can't imagine there was a rager happening behind that wall (which was high up in the ceiling.) I didn't call Maintenance either time because a) it was late at night and I was traveling alone, and 2) it wasn't constant. A noise would happen, persist for maybe two minutes, then stop. Then, just as I was about to fall asleep, it'd pick up again. So I didn't want to call to complain only to have someone come upstairs to a completely quiet room. And the third night was completely silent. I got great sleep that night. And the noises never happened during the day - at least, not in the few hours I was in the room during the day. So, yeah. The shower was great - loved the water pressure and the heat. The bathroom was a bit tight, with not much space to maneuver once you stepped inside - the door just barely cleared the toilet, which was smushed up against the shower and the counter. Still, it was enough space for me and I liked that I had counter space for all my potions and lotions and notions. I had every intention of dining in the hotel's restaurant that first night, but after my delayed flight got me in late, I was too knackered to go anywhere or do anything. The bar/restaurant in the lobby was always busy during my stay, though, so that's something.

The staff definitely leave something to be desired. I found them a mixture of condescending and rude. We requested early check in and where informed our room was not ready. Than watched them check in couple after couple. 2.5 hours later we got our early check in. A whole 15 minutes early. This was after it supposedly took them 45 minutes to clean the room. Now on to the room. The room was modestly sized with furniture shoved into every available space. The floors are plastic and cold. TV lost connection no less than 5 times forcing us to miss a few minutes of the show to reboot it. The best part was the bed. Very comfy bed. The comforters they provide are not designed for tall people though. The bathroom was not great. The shower is small with a temp control that sticks causing jumps in water temp. From luke warm to scalding quickly. For men beware the toilet. The water level is so high if you have to sit down to potty you will need to squat or parts might find themselves taking a swim in murky waters if you know what i mean. I would have normally told the staff all of this but the icy frosting on this stay was check out where the staff gave no greeting, didn't ask how the stay was or even express any positive sentiment towards us. In a city full of places to stay don't be fooled by there advertised low price. You end up with a low price experience for a high price in your check book.

My husband just needed to block traffic and unload our things then wait for a valet driver to appear. I asked if we could upgrade our room to a club level but was informed that they have no ability to do so at the front desk and haven't for some time. I was very disappointed at this. It would have been one thing if they were booked but just flat out denial just because felt somehow personal (even if it wasn't actually). I went back out to the entrance to see if I could spot my husband and made him stop. Soon after a valet arrived and said he should park the car perpendicular to the other cars so he would have somewhere to park. This would have effectively blocked both the valet cars and the through traffic lanes. He then asked if we were going to do valet parking. I told him "not any more!" This hotel charges $69 a night for valet and the self parking isn't worlds cheaper but it definitely felt worth it to have our car placed carefully by us and not left in the care of the person who felt perpendicular/blocking through traffic was a good idea. Meanwhile I found our room that has a persistent sound of whistling when the heating is on and I found that the bathroom, while beautiful had a rather unappealing quality. When you use the toilet you are looking directly into a rather large mirror. When taken all together it makes for a rather disappointing experience. I don't think I will stay at any Hyatt again. There are other options that are pleasant and clean and well thought out nearby.

They are now under Hyatt group, so if you have loyalty status with Hyatt, make sure to let them know during check-in. The room itself was nice and spacious. Bed and bedding was comfortable although the pillows were very flat. The bathroom had a huge window but there was an automated privacy shade. The bathroom also had plenty of counter space, with a separate shower from the huge soaking tub. The tub design was a bit weird in that the water comes out of the ceiling... so just be prepared that it does splash all over. Our room did not have a view (we got an east-facing room which literally is a view of another building's windows), but it did keep the room cool. Location was nice and walkable to all nearby Seattle attractions, very easy to get to Pike Place and Westlake Station. The hotel has a spa and small gym on the basement level, plus a golf simulator (that we did not try). The Rosebay bar was very pleasant (we got drinks and a snack) and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast at All Water was disappointing though - both the service and food were mediocre for the price they charge - and we wouldn't recommend it. The front desk had a room available for me a little earlier than normal check-in and had wonderful suggestions for a little snack around the hotel. The room is much more spacious than pictures can show. I really enjoyed the two separate seating areas. The window area settee was the perfect place for a snack and using my laptop to prepare for the next day. The closet has more than just two hangers, which I appreciated being able to hang the clothes that needed to be hung and steamed later. The bed was soft, but not overly so and the charging options on the nightstand helped me keep some of my electronics packed and neat. Being in Downtown Seattle, I really didn't feel like I needed a car. The Sound is situated in a great place to just walk where I needed to go. Less than five minutes away from Westlake where I could catch either the monorail or Link, was very convenient for me. I enjoy walking around to get familiar with the area I'm in and there was so much to see!!! I will be back to The Sound for my next Seattle adventure!

The main issues I had were as follows: - A lot of the "extra perks" disappeared. When I checked in last time, I was greeted warmly and gifted a glass of champagne. I don't expect that exact thing every time, but when staying at a premium hotel like this, little things really make the experience a lot more enjoyable. It felt starkly different this time in terms of the service and generosity -- much more generic. - My room was far noisier than my previous visit. I'm not sure what changed, but I could hear noises from other units and from the street much more loudly this time. - On noise, the AC unit in my room this time was much noisier as well. Generally speaking, I still think this is a great hotel, but I had a disappointing experience this time vs my prior stay. I will give it another shot next time, but with caution.

The hotel focuses on mid-range, family travel; and to this they deliver quite well. If - however - you're looking for a bit more of a destination hotel, pick again. That's not to say the Embassy Suites isn't clean, with friendly and welcoming staff who are always there to help, it is just important to recognize that the hotel is not a destination. It is more of a "means to an end" kind of place.

Literally the first building you see when you leave the train station and right next to the entrance to the Seattle Stadium. Staff was friendly, though advertising a $9 bottle of Smart Water and giving your guests a complimentary check-in bottle of Dasani feels like a bad choice. Would probably have gone down better to give the Smart Water and advertise it as $9 to give it an added value. My main issue was not being warned before arrival that there was an ongoing strike by employees of the hotel. There was a flyer at the desk at check-in going over it, but no one prewarned us that the striking employees started at 6:30am with drums, a megaphone, sirens, whistles, and shouting. This was fully audible in the room. Due to the World Cup, there was no option to relocate to another hotel. When we left the hotel in the morning of the match, members of the protest got very aggressive and in my face, screaming about checking out and demanding a refund. Again, not a practical option. I have nothing against workers rights, but screaming at people who didn't know and don't have another choice isn't doing any favors. This must have happened more than once, because the front door was locked the remainder of the day and guests directed to other doors. The room was dusty, likely as a result of the strike. The sliding barn doors were insufficient to offer privacy while using the toilet or showering. Breakfast was pretty good. I went with Embassy Suites based on past experiences and convenience and I wish I had been aware of the strike because I would have made different choices. Hilton and Embassy Suites should address the concerns of their employees, if for nothing more than guest experience.

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. If we find ourselves back in Seattle, this is where I will want to stay.

The greeters always opened the door for me, the check-in desk staff were courteous and always had a smile, and the checkout process was also quick and ended with an invitation to return to the property the next time I'm in Seattle. As soon as I stepped out of my Uber upon initial arrival, a staff member walked up to open my door and asked if I needed help with my bags. My room was comfortable in every aspect. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years. I would wholeheartedly stay here again!

My family had a…read morespectacular experience for 3 nights as we explored Seattle prior to hopping on an Alaskan cruise. This hotel is an excellent choice for those wanting to stay in a waterfront property that's walkable to the cruise terminal as well. Though Four Seasons is not the most cost effective option for a comfortable hotel in downtown Seattle, I highly recommend this hotel based on my recent experience in June 2025. Where to start.... Location, location, location! The hotel is literally a block away from the entrance to Pike Place Market where you can spend days shopping, snacking, and enjoying the views of the water. The views from the hotel room are breathtaking as the Great Wheel (Ferris wheel) and Aquarium are just a few minutes away by foot. From the Four Seasons, we were able to walk to Chinatown in under 30 min (you can also take the train just 2 stops down) and Seattle Center where the Space Needle is located is also walkable and also accessible via monorail. The staff greets you at the door every time you enter and exit, and the lobby is full of surprises like premium coffee and tea in the mornings and a candy bar in the afternoon. Every time our room was serviced, it was done to perfection and then some. The chat function on the app was amazing as I was able to make requests and ask questions with ease. Responses were close to immediate. At the front desk and concierge, staff are also very friendly and treated us with respect and honor. They also provided great advice for food and sightseeing options close by. They never tried to sell me stuff where they would make money off of it. I could go on and on, but I have to say that my family's experience was extremely memorable, and if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. If you're looking for the optimal location for breathtaking views, seconds away from Pike Place Market, and still walkable to the Space Needle, Chinatown, the Convention Center, etc., this is it, y'all!
