We have been here too many times to count, but this is the first review. Food is off the charts incredible, drinks are outstanding and the bartenders create a unique experience. Service is always top notch and if I had to order a death row meal it would be the King half shrimp half oyster. We live in Murfreesboro but drive to Franklin at least once a month specifically for White Alligator.

A 1/4 of the Half Muffalatta. Nice potion!

Great , cozy place located inside of The Factory. I split the half Muffaletta with my husband & it was a perfect portion for lunch. We both even took some home. I suggest ordering a little extra of the olive salad ( tapenade) that comes on it. I will definitely request more on my next visit because there wasn't enough for me. I am also going to try the Beignets I saw some come out and they look of SO yummy! Go visit the White Alligator you will be happy you did!

Have always been cautious of cafeteria style restaurants but this place is well worth it. You walk in, place your order and then they bring it to you. The whole process from ordering to getting our food was less than 10 minutes. They have a full bar in the back and they make one hell of a Sazerac. I had that and the crawfish étouffée, my wife had a side salad (which was huge) and muffaletta. The etouffee had so much flavor and the perfect level of spice. The muffaletta my wife had was very good. The staff was polite and professional, the restaurant clean. Will most definitely be back!!

Love this place! Inside the Factory so can do some shopping while there. Folks always greet you right when you enter. The best po boys! The right bread and I've had the shrimp, oyster and the half and half- all so good! Hubby gets the turkey or roast beef. And good fries! We usually eat at the bar.

Finding a place to eat in Franklin after 8 p.m. on a weeknight can be a challenge--especially if you're looking for something local and not a chain. Fortunately, The White Alligator popped up in my search. Nestled inside The Factory at Franklin, it was easy to find, and the staff and management were very welcoming. I ordered the Alligator Po'Boy and a cup of gumbo (which really should have been a bowl because it was that good). The gumbo was hearty enough to be a meal on its own. The po'boy was labeled "regular," but it came out as two large pieces--more like a giant cut--packed with tender, flavorful meat. I'll definitely be back! Also ambiance was great representation of the south.

Always a great place to enjoy a superb po-boy. I love the mixed oyster and shrimp, sometimes the husband changes it up and gets the turkey but usually the king size po-boy with a side of fries is the perfect lunch for us to share. It is so craveable, when I am in the mood for a sandwich this is where I go. I think the batter they use is absolutely divine. My husband and I typically sit at the bar, we enjoy the nice quick service that is never intrusive or pushy. Definitely a place to stop by for a great sando

The White Alligator is an excellent addition to the culinary options that The Factory has added to its lineup over the past few years. And it's one of only a few truly authentic Cajun restaurants in Middle Tennessee. The catfish po'boy is exceptional! But the crispy catfish isn't the only highlight as there is something truly special about the finely shredded lettuce complementing the chewy bread and flavorful batter! I'll have to come back for the alligator po'boy because they're almost impossible to find in Tennessee. The Cajun fries are pretty good but not as exceptional as the sandwich. The beignets were tasty, but way too thick compared to my favorites in Louisiana. Beignets are usually light and airy while these are dense like a loaf of bread. But I'd still recommend ordering them anyway as everything on the menu is fantastic!

The White Alligator is a spot our whole family can agree on. This has been a regular spot for us for almost a year. It was our first meal after moving here. Find them across the hall from Honest Coffee Roasters in The Factory. You order at the counter, receive an order number, find a table, and the food is delivered to the table. Our food usually comes out in about 10 minutes. In the back they have a full bar if you want a drink. The restaurant has about a dozen tables. There are booth table combos in the front and tables in the back. High chairs are in the back section of the restaurant. The menu offers a variety of Po boys, seafood platters (with fries, hush puppies, and fries), salads, gumbo, jambalaya, and a muffuletta. There are two kid meal options. My favorites here are the Shrimp Platter (blackened or fried are great) and Shrimp Wedge Salad. My daughter loves the Fried Shrimp Kid's Meal with Fries. My husband loves any of the Po boys. The fries have a yummy seasoning and the hush puppies are flavorful. The White Alligator is a win for a casual spot to get seafood and some Cajun favorites.

Great ambience. A good spot for dinner with the fam or a drink at the bar after work. I've eaten the shrimp & oyster poboy a few times here and it's the closest I can find to an authentic Cajun poboy. One critique I have is the bread is not great, the restaurant would be better off shipping in Reisings straight from New Orleans. I also recently tried the chicken and sausage gumbo and it was pretty underwhelming. It has a nice dark base so you can tell the roux was made right, however there was little to no chicken (what was there were strings of chicken) and the rice was undercooked. Chef needs a tad practice. Oh and this is a creole gumbo (as opposed to the more popular Cajun gumbo in south Louisiana), so if you don't like tomato's then beware.

Mood: Something Southern Love love love! Spice mixed with flavor is always a happy place. The food was greatly seasoned with that Cajun spice and creole notes. Would come back for sure and try more menu items. Service and style with order the. Seat yourself is kind of my go to these days. Makes life easier! The bar was beautiful so I think next time that'll be my spot. Jambalaya 9/10 Fried fish platter 9/10 Beignets 10/10 fluff & flavor

Super friendly service. You order at the counter and then go into the restaurant and find your table. Food was delivered soon after. It was hot and delicious. The crusty bread served with the gumbo was nice touch. It was a great find while I was visiting Nashville TN.

I was surprised that an order at counter casual food place was this good. The catfish was excellent and the blackened shrimp wedge salad was very good. Service was friendly.

Seafood platter . Catfish, shrimp, oysters , hush puppies and the best fries.

The Pond is a self described dive bar located in a strip mall area in Franklin Tennessee…read more I like to patronize places that aren't chains and aren't super popular spots when I travel, as I enjoy being around common folks in areas that I go to. The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

Stable Reserve is such a gem in downtown Franklin. We originally stopped in just for a quick drink…read moreand snack as a mid-day reset, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our day. We grabbed one of the small outdoor tables on a warm spring afternoon--perfectly shaded, great temperature, and honestly an ideal people-watching spot. I started with the Black Tie espresso martini. I had my eye on the Sunburnt, but since their espresso martinis typically include dairy (and I'm lactose intolerant), the bartender went above and beyond to accommodate me. They made a dairy-free version of the Black Tie and even added coconut--it was absolutely delicious. Jonathan went with the Summer Mule, which was everything you want in a mule with a tropical twist from the pineapple--light, crisp, and refreshing. But the second round is what completely sold us. Jonathan ordered the Double Oaked Old Fashioned--we were warned it was high proof and spirit-forward, which is exactly our style. It did not disappoint. I went with the Tea Time Old Fashioned, made with tea-infused whiskey, and it was everything I hoped for: reminiscent of a sweet tea bourbon, but more bourbon-forward and not overly sweet. Both drinks were dangerously good--we finished them way too quickly. They were unfortunately out of cheese for the charcuterie board, so we pivoted to the "Main Stream Mix" of nuts. Jonathan's official review: "underrated." Honestly, he's right--it was super flavorful and weirdly addictive for a nut mix. The staff were incredibly friendly, and there was even live music playing inside. It was the perfect volume--more of a background vibe than a full performance--so we could easily carry on a conversation without having to shout over it, which made the experience even better. Overall, such a great experience--we wouldn't hesitate to come back!

She ordered and I tasted the Lunchbox based on the bartender's recommendation and really enjoyed it as it was strong, well-balanced, and flavorful. I chose the Back in the Saddle, which leaned a bit sweeter and creamier than my personal taste, but that's more a preference thing than a flaw. The vibe is relaxed and inviting overall. As closing time approached, things understandably felt a bit more hurried, but we still appreciated the atmosphere and the quality of the drinks. A nice spot for a casual nightcap, just plan to arrive a little earlier than closing. They were turning several groups away around 8:30+ on a Monday night, but it's Franklin, not Nashville - things wrap up early here.

Very nice restaurant!…read more We had reservations at 7:45, checked in early and were seated on arrival. Upon entering the restaurant it seemed swamped but the staff was well prepared for the guests. Our server, was amazing! (I'm ashamed we didn't remember his name, Paul maybe). Nonetheless, he knew the menu, the specials, the drinks, and suggestions! We loved each and everyone of the suggestions and choices we made. Our dining experience started with the signature old fashion followed by a bottle of Heitz Cellars Cabernet! We ordered the lamb and brisket buns. Both were savory, delicious and well prepared. Followed by their Sushi Roll. It was described as "if you love sushi, you've never had anything like this." (I've had a ton of Sushi all over the world, and this was a spectacular Hamachi Roll.) we rounded out our meal with the Butternut Burrata and bread basket and a Beef Tenderloin. It was cooked to perfection and able to be cut with a fork. (I am salivating thinking about how perfectly it was prepared.) Just when we thought it couldn't be any better our server suggested we look at the dessert menu. He tempted me with a blood orange sorbet followed by a peanut butter chocolate pie. AMAZING! The fun thing was, I consumed the Heitz Cabernet throughout my entire meal - all the way through dessert. My high remarks to the chef and the staff because this team knows how to please and perform flawlessly!

This was our "splurge" dinner on a trip to Franklin, TN. My friend we were visiting had been before…read moreand had raved about it, but even she agreed this visit just wasn't up to snuff. The place is beautiful, but we were seated in the least interesting area. My friend said it used to be an open patio and was renovated for more indoor seating, which makes sense, but it lacked any real atmosphere. When I am spending this kind of money I want a slow, leisurly pace, and this felt rushed. Yes, we probably could have asked the waiter to slow things down, but we didn't. I ordered a specialty cocktail - the Midnight Sun that was delish - it was layered and around $16. The waiter then brought out what ended up being the highlight of the meal, a little treat from the chef. It was a creamy gnocchi dish to share, about three pieces each, super rich and honestly I could have eaten 20 more. We also spilt the bread flight. The bread was good but I wasn't a fan of the spreads, I'm a BUTTER person, these were more like bean spreads. The brussels sprouts with pork were also really good. Hubby and I split a mixed green salad that was pretty mediocre, and the croutons were almost too hard to chew. Then came the pork, which was a dissapointment. It was so tough it actually got caught in my throat a couple times despite chewing it well. We didn't even finish it. For the price, it should have been tender and full of flavor, and it was neither. My friend ordered the duck pasta and said it had "weird pieces of meat" in it. Her husband got the filet and loved it, so at least someone at the table was happy. We skipped dessert after most of us had disappointing entrees. I guess the good news is they rotate the menu every few months, so maybe it would be a totally different experience next time.
