Having to get a wig while facing chemo is not a fun experience. I always had beautiful hair, and it was now gone. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. I spoke with a couple of other people there who had wigs on, and I couldn't even tell. They all expressed how they loved their wigs and had several for backups. Mary Jo was friendly. When she helped me, she didn't rush about it. We tried a few wigs on. She made the experience fun. When we finally settled on one, she cut bangs for me and spent time telling me how to take care of it. I was impressed with her knowledge and expertise. This person is a very negative and lacks compassion. I have had Alopecia Universalis for over 35 years and recently move here. All she could say was no to trimming my wigs unless I purchased them from her. What a bad business model - taking advantage of a persons medical condition. I had purchased my wigs on line because I was new to the area and was not aware of her shop... well now I am and I will teach myself to do what she does. I was with Mary jo and the wig wam for 30 years with alopecia and lost all my hair. She asked me to come all the way from Texas to work with her so I did do that with very much excitement and helping people with losing their hair! This woman I knew for All these years told me I did not have a job with her anymore because she did not know how sick I was with asthma! Thought she knew this! Big mis understanding! So she got very upset with me! I went to her to ask what I did and and if I could still buy my wigs from her and she took it personal and told me NO! I was never allowed to buy wigs from her ever again!!! This broke my heart deeply! My son at 13 was with me and heard the whole conversation! I guess yelp is here for a reason! She hurt me deeply and as I said I was loyal to her for 30 years! How could she do that? I will never know, but that was her decision!
