I love Korean BBQ and couldn't wait to try. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a cute restaurant that was busy. I was greeted and sat. The service was so comfortable compared to other AYCE spots because they do not count down your time like a guillotine. Took my friend here for her birthday and O2 BBQ absolutely delivered. The food was amazing fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. James was our cook and he was on point the entire time. Friendly, fast, and made sure everything was cooked just right. We had a really good assortment of meats and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The spicy tofu soup? Heavenly. Warm, comforting, and full of flavor exactly what we needed on a rainy day. The quality of the meat was pretty good, however the quality of sides was underwhelming - especially the steamed egg, which should be fluffy and puffy, was instead looking sad and deflated. My friend who went a different time said their egg was the same way, so probably not a one time issue. If you want just meats and don't care about sides then it's probably better than places like cast iron pot. At the beginning, the servers were attentive, but towards the end of our meal it was definitely lacking a bit. 1.5 hour wait - not worth the wait. Turn around now if you are debating waiting. This is more of a 2.5 but, I will round up. AMBIANCE This place is a lot larger than it looks which is great because they are pretty popular. The place was packed but this is definitely not the best kBBQ spot out there. The tables are pretty spaced out, the decor is cool, and the booths are hard. The back support is wooden opposed to upholstery. SERVICE They don't really explain anything so if you have never been here, it's all you can eat. You can have up to 4 meats at a time but, the cooker fits only so much. I don't know if they are supposed to cook it, we requested it but cooked it ourselves. FOOD UM...in one word...disappointing. Unless you order a marinade meat (like the Kolbi steak- which is responsible for 2/2.5 of this review) don't expect the meat itself to have much flavor. It was a lot paler than we were all used to. Some teriyaki sauce would have been nice; when asked we were told meats were seasoned. The marinade was pretty thin. So thin, that the juices spilled into the sauces they provide while the waiter put the meats on the grill. Also, the meat comes really large. One first round our waiter cut it, the other round he did not. We could not even eat all you can eat, was not our jam. Don't recommend. Especially if you drive. One of my favorite KBBQ places so far in Jersey! We did a day trip down from northern NJ because Hubby works in the area and said this was a highly recommended spot and we wanted to try it. The meats were well seasoned/marinated and the sides were fresh and tasted delicious. I'm a sucker for potato salad whenever we sit down for KBBQ and left a happy gal + mama. My four boys love their meats and our waiter kept their favorites coming! Everyone was nice and friendly, helped when we had questions so it was great. I hesitate going out sometimes because my two young toddlers are active but the food kept them seated and quiet from start til finish. The place is clean and well maintained. My favorite of the meats was the marinated chicken and the salad had a sweet marinade that had me eating all night. This is by far was the best AYCE Korean BBQ we had in New Jersey. I would go back to eat here again but it's about an hour and a half away from where I live. My daughter who also loves this place rates this as one of her top choices. The staff was attentive and readily available for orders and cooking. The place is in a residential neighborhood so parking is a little difficult so you would need to enter the parking lot at the side of the building and navigate the labyrinth of level parking. Then you have to work your way up to the street level via stairs or elevators and one may be lost in the numerous turns. Overall, if you manage to get yourself to the place, you won't be disappointed. Came here a few times and I really like this place. Free parking in parking lot, just have to bring your ticket to restaurant to get it scanned. Got the pork belly (thick), kalbi/galbi and brisket. It was very good. Don't forget to get the mushrooms, not on menu. The price and the fact you can get kalbi/galbi or steak items without a price increase is great. Had dinner during the week with couple gfs. Parking is a bit confusing here. You park at the gallery--steep hill to get into parking garage. They validate your parking or you can find street parking in the area. Views are great. The two stars are for the quality of meats which i thought were great and the waiting area had seating, some claw machines and an electronic dart board. The meats were good. Sides were great. Service was all over the place. You didn't have one specific server--they all worked as a team, if you needed something else be sure to grab one of them as they walk by. They flip your meats for you every few minutes and it's always a different person. There was one specific server who I thought was pretty rude. He was tall with glasses. He accidentally dropped one of our cups which had spilled a bit of water of my friend--didn't really hear an apology--when he came back with a replacement cup he would walk by and sorta slammed it on the table and kept it moving. He did this a couple times. If we asked for another soju he'd just drop it by the table and kept moving again. Just kinda rude. Never really asked if we needed anything else or how was everything. For the sides it did take awhile--my lettuce wasn't throughly washed--i had one of those live tiny bugs in the lettuce which turned me off completely. The same rude server had said maybe it was from the grill--but it wasn't i showed my friend the lettuce and she saw it was an Alice crawling bug. For this they did comp one of our sojus which I didn't expect. Another issue was we had asked about 4 different times to 4 different servers that we were still waiting for goyza. It did take a while. Overall I wouldn't wanna come back due to the service itself. But the quality of the meats was delish. read more

Came in with some family for a small celebration. We had a reservation ahead of time. Because this restaurant is in a high-volume area of Edgewater, we were happy to see that they validate garage parking for customers. We arrived at the designated garage listed on our reservation. As someone who has had plenty of experience garage parking in different cities, this was one of the worst garages I have ever seen. The floors were extremely confusing and did not go in numerical order. The flow of traffic in the garage was different on each floor. There was also a ridiculous amount of construction within the garage, making it even more confusing to get from floor to floor. Once we had finally parked and made it out of that insane garage, we were excited to eat. We arrived in time for our reservation, but we waited a few minutes while our table was set. I had to use the restroom as we were waiting; it was pretty gross and unkempt. I expected better for a place like this. As soon as we were seated, we took a few minutes to look at the menu. They charge a flat fee for KBBQ, but you still get to choose your selection of meats, appetizers, and sides. We went for a few Veggie Dumpling and Tteokkbokki orders. We chose a selection of about 3 different cuts of beef, 1 type of chicken, and some veggie orders. Although we were initially being taken care of by one server, it seemed like a team effort. Different servers would bring items to our table. On each table they have a selection of sauces and small Banchan appetizers to eat with your meal. They also bring over bowls of steamed rice to eat with the meat. Once our meats were brought over, they got the grill started. This KBBQ place is somewhere between others in terms of cooking meat. They seem to be pretty set on getting your meats started and checking in them as they cook. However, you're still allowed to move items on and off the grill to your liking. I found the experience fun; I would have also been OK being a little more independent with the cooking. In terms of food flavor and quality, it was solid. I wasn't a huge fan of the appetizers. I'm someone who has had a lot of Korean food, and I didn't find any of them taste very good. The Veggie Dumplings were bland, and the Tteokkbokki had a strange texture compared to others I've had. The meats were decent, but almost all of the dipping sauces had a very strange aftertaste. The service throughout was OK. The employees were diligent about checking on the meat and cooking process. However, I didn't find that any of them were particularly friendly or paid attention to customer service. Overall, this place was OK. KBBQ is always a pretty fun experience. I didn't find that anything stood out as special to me. I found the bathroom, garage, and service to all be weak points for this place. Pricing was pretty standard for this kind of food. It was about $40 per person before tax and tip. I liked the company and the meats, but I don't think I'd pay a visit to this location again. read more

Location is deceiving as you park in a shopping mall and don't expect much ambiance. But as soon as you leave the parking garage the elevated view down the Hudson gives a spectacular angle of everything from the Bronx to downtown and across the river to Jersey city and beyond to the Verrazano bridge. Wow. Inside it's modern and well appointed with great table top grills and ventilation. Everywhere you look you see high def screens pumping K-pop videos which I happen to love for their energy and happy vibe. The staff is highly attentive, friendly and prompt to bring all the meats and things you care to order. The food is no doubt the best Korean bbq I've had, even saying this after many a visit to K-town in Manhattan. This is better. Perfect really. My favorite is the pork belly. The staff was not as organized and on point as usual with catering to our table. Some downsides to my experience was the fact that they forgot to turn on the grill and let the meat sit there for 10 minutes until we figured out the issue. They did not bring us the sodas we ordered until we reminded them. They also did not bring out our rice so we were eating one part of the meal without the other. And we also had to remind them to switch our grills because it was covered in char. They are usually on top of all of this but I believe it could be due to low staff. Overall, me and my boyfriend had a really good time. We came here for lunch but it was just so much food that it ended up being our dinner. First, we came when it was empty everyone was wearing a mask, gloves, and our temperature got checked at the door. They enforced social distancing by not allowing people in tables to be sitting directly behind one another. As soon as we sat down, we scanned the menu and it was on our phone. We ordered all our meats and sides within 5 minutes of sitting down. The quality of the meat was phenomenal nothing was frozen , rice was great , the lettuce was fresh and the waiters were really nice and attentive. It is one set price and all you can eat. One huge plus that I appreciated was the amount of table space that we had for all our food and the amount of meat itself. The reason, I took off one star was not because of the food or the service we recieved but because of the ambience. When we first got there it was extremely quit and I felt like I almost had to whisper which made me and my boyfriend feel extremely uncomfortable. Another typical kbbq in the area. It's pretty pricey at $38/PP ayce for dinner and the service was really bad when I went. They took forever to come to take our order and we had to consistently follow up when we wanted a new meat order. And after we ordered a couple meats, the grill was burnt and charred from the sauce from the meats and they never changed it. When we asked for another meat, they grilled the meat on the burnt grill and the meat tasted completely burnt. So, I had to ask them to change the grill before they even did it. On top of that, the pork belly meat had soooo much fat on it. Honestly, for this area and bc there's so many ayce kbbq places, at this price point I wouldn't recommend this place. The quality of meat is comparable to cheaper places and the service didn't help the experience. read more
