I had an extremely disappointing experience with The Wilhelm Dental Group in La Plata, MD, and I…read morewould never recommend this practice. My son went in for a routine cleaning, during which the hygienist dislodged his permanent retainer. Instead of taking responsibility, she implied that it was already loose. My son, who has had this retainer for nearly twenty years without any issues, told her that it was securely in place before the appointment, but she completely disregarded him. When Dr. Eric Wilhelm came in for the exam, my son explained what had happened, yet Dr. Wilhelm also dismissed his concerns, implying that he was lying. They initially scheduled a follow-up appointment two weeks later to address the issue, expecting him to endure the discomfort of a dangling wire in his mouth. I called the office immediately, stating that waiting that long was unacceptable, and only then did they offer an appointment that same afternoon. Upon reviewing the bill, I noticed my son was charged ninety dollars for a periodic oral evaluation and one hundred fifty-five dollars for a comprehensive oral evaluation, essentially being billed twice for the same service. When I accompanied him back to the office, I raised this concern with their office manager, Ginger. She admitted the mistake but became defensive when I questioned whether this was a common occurrence for new patients. Dr. Wilhelm then came into the waiting area to boast about his fifty-three years of experience and claim that he had never received a complaint. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, he acted arrogantly and dismissively. They ultimately refunded the ninety-dollar charge, but the lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic courtesy was astonishing. To top it all off, when my son was back in the chair to have the issue fixed, I overheard Dr. Wilhelm pressuring him to admit that the retainer must have already been loose. My son, who avoids confrontation, was visibly uncomfortable. The fix for the dangling wire took less than two minutes, making the delay, stress, and dismissive treatment even more frustrating. This practice lacks integrity, professionalism, and empathy for its patients. Neither Dr. Wilhelm nor Ginger apologized for their mistakes or showed any concern for the discomfort they caused. Instead, they were defensive, condescending, and unapologetic. If you value honesty, professionalism, and competent dental care, I strongly urge you to avoid The Wilhelm Dental Group.

I was in so much pain I couldn't chew on either side, and yet I felt dismissed and not taken seriously. That all changed when I called Posh Dental. Dr. Seihoun and his staff saw me right away, diagnosed the issue (two cracks in my tooth that had been missed before), and got me scheduled for the procedure the same week. The difference in care was night and day. Even when I had a smaller issue after my mercury filling replacement -- biting my cheek while waiting for my crown -- they got me in the very same day I called. The level of attention, compassion, and urgency they show is exactly what every patient deserves. From the hygienists to the front desk staff, everyone at Posh Dental makes you feel comfortable, informed, and pain-free. They explain everything step by step, check in constantly to make sure you're okay, and truly treat you like you matter. Dr. Seihoun is not only highly skilled, but also compassionate and thorough. After such a traumatic experience with my former dentist, I can honestly say Posh Dental Arts is my new dental home. I am so grateful I found them. If you want a dentist who will listen, act quickly, and give you the highest standard of care, look no further than Dr. Babak Seihoun and the team at Posh Dental Arts.

Days before my appointment on 3/17/2026, I received 4 text messages to arrive on time for my appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early and waited almost an hour in the waiting area with no indication when I would see the dentist. While I waited, I was asked to pay the balance which I declined until after the services were rendered. I could not wait any longer and needed to leave to return to work. I expected the office to call to apologize but instead, I called after 2 weeks. I spoke with the Office Manager, Lindsey, and instead of an apology, she gave me excuses. I asked her to have the doctor call me but I did not receive a call from him. I called back after a week and asked Jenny for an appointment and the soonest was 5/19/2026. Jenny told me she would put me on the list in the event there was a cancellation, I would be called. The next day I received a text message that there was an open appointment on 5/5/2026. I confirmed. When I arrived, I waited in the waiting area for 20 minutes. When I was escorted to the back, I expressed the discomfort I was experiencing and the relief that I was there to remove the temporary crown. I was told the appointment was for a cleaning, not to put in the permanent crown. I could not believe it! I could not be seen that day, but I would be put back on the list in the event of a cancellation. I finally got the permanent crown on 5/19/2026. I requested my dental records and have changed to the Silberman Dental Group. The Silberman Dental Group does crowns same day and their customer service is impeccable!

BEWARE of this type of payment practice! Be sure to review all charges before paying out of pocket expenses. I learned the hard way but will be transferring my dental records to a new dental office and I will be receiving better quality of service without being overcharged with out of pocket expenses. The "treatment cases" reports are not understandable and the prices were ridiculous here. They even get their staff members to go over charges as if they are making a "sale" like a salesperson would do for the purchase of a cell phone plan of some sort. Dr. Chiang here gave me the worst advice ever! She told me to cover my newly extracted tooth, with a partial flipper immediately after the tooth was extracted and this would control the bleeding. The type of pain I experienced from following her directions was unfathomable. I will never take advice from this doctor again. My tooth also broke while the Dr. Chiang was performing the extraction. It was already weakened. I asked her if I could see the tooth and she did not deliver my request. I also wasted time arguing with Dr. Chiang by requesting to not save the tooth. She proceeded anyway and this is when she discovered that the tooth was cracked. I already talked to her about this and the follow up called was simply filled with fluff and drug medication recommendations. I wouldn't dare go back here. Just making others aware of my issues and the reasons I gave this practice 1 star. I'm still trying to understand the "treatment case" charges which I had to pay for out of pocket. Absurd.

Aside from that this office does not return calls, does not fill prescriptions when they say they are, and cancels appointments on a whim. They also gave me an attitude when I asked for my child to be covered when they were doing multiple X-rays during her procedure. When she had trouble and jaw pain because they didn't file the filling to her bite, our calls were not returned. When the nerve died in the tooth due to his poor practice ( according to a specialist), they canceled our appointment and said to go somewhere else via text message. Based on other reviews I don't know how this place is still open. If it was an option I would give them a zero out of 10.

The process took a year and a half due to intense pain…read moreafter having two teeth pulled to make room for the implants, waiting for bone growth, numerous delays waiting for materials, lack of communication from the dental office, and some procedures having to be repeated. The implants were finally completed last June. A few days later, I began suffering from face pain which I attributed to sinus pain. Three visits to an ENT and a sinus CAT scan could not find a reason for the pain. Then I saw allergist and had allergy testing. No problem was found. I then thought that maybe there was a problem with the implant and saw Dr. Saoud who took an X-ray and assured me there was no problem with the implants. About a week later, the bridge that attached to the implant unexpectedly fell out. Immediately the pain I'd been experiencing for six months disappeared. I then realized that the pain was most likely due to something with the implants. I found another dentist who checked the implants and found the implants were loose and at an angle rather than being straight. He tightened them and reinstalled the bridge. No more pain. Six months of suffering because of the implants were not sufficiently tightened. If I had to do it again, I would go to a dentist who specializes in implants. I have decided to stay with the dentist who quickly found and corrected the problem.
