I came down to Orlando for a quick getaway with friends and stayed at the Meliá Celebration Orlando. The Wilson is inside the main building of the hotel. The location was incredibly convenient since most surrounding restaurants are Disney World spots, other dining options were at least 20 minutes away. Without a rental car and Ubering everywhere, being able to just head downstairs for a drink and a bite was a lifesaver. The truffle fries with Parmesan were my favorite. I also ordered the chicken quesadillas were decent, but coming from Houston (where, let's be honest, the food scene is unmatched), it's hard not to compare. They just weren't that buttery, toasted quesadilla I'm used to. The green salsa had an unusual texture, almost like applesauce, which was a little off-putting. The sour cream was fine, and I actually enjoyed the pickled onions as a nice touch. The margaritas were good! They offer several flavor additions like coconut and mango that work as sweeteners, so if you prefer a sweeter margarita I would definitely suggest adding one. Ordering it straight is on the bitter side, so the flavors are a nice way to customize your drink. Overall, the ambience and service were great, and the food is solid. Gratuity is included and my bill was around $60. read more

I'm giving two stars instead of one, but that's because our waitress Sarah worked so hard. We stayed at Melia Orlando Celebration for two nights, and had dinner at The Wilson both nights. We had Sarah for our waitress both times. The first night, we had their special the miso salmon, and the rigatoni bolognese. We were offered "regular, bottled, or sparkling" water; we chose bottled, and were served warm water from a carafe style bottle with no ice. Rigatoni was tasty, but the miso salmon was burnt on the outside (inside was cooked well), bok choy was VERY salty from the soy marinade but was fine when paired with the pile of plain white rice (that I think was supposed to be a seasoned rice pilaf?). The second night, we again had the special of fettuccini alfredo with shrimp, and the pepperoni pizza with red sauce. We were offered the same for water - "regular, bottled, or sparkling". We chose "regular" this time and were still served the same carafe-style room temperature water without ice. The pizza was just okay and the crust was super chewy and tough, but the alfredo sauce was broken and the dish was a pile of noodles with clumped parmesan swimming in a lake of butter. The waitress did stop by to ask how everything was, but we had literally just been served our food. I did eat the shrimp, which were cooked nicely. I let our waitress know the sauce was broken and said I didn't want it to be remade as I already ate the shrimp. She reported this to the manager who came over and offered us a free dessert for the mistake. This was nice, but he took forever to come back with the dessert menu, and then never returned to see what dessert we might order, but attended another table right next to us several times while we waited. After 15 minutes waiting for him to even order a dessert and attending the next table 3 times, we ended up flagging down the waitress to ask for our check. Our waitress comped the Alfredo meal, which we greatly appreciated. Our waitress Sarah was a rockstar. She was working pretty much the entire restaurant and I actually heard her say to the staff "Is anyone going to help me here?". I saw her fill beers for guests behind the bar instead of waiting on the bartender. I saw her lead guests to a table with menus instead of the hostess. I also saw the manager and other staff just chilling by the kitchen area, making jokes and laughing, and empty tables needing to be cleared the entire time we were there, while we and other tables waited for just a refill of room-temp water. The restaurant was NOT full or super busy on a Friday night, so that says a lot. Also note, it's in very small type, but this restaurant adds 18% gratuity no matter the order or party size. We added an extra tip for Sarah the first night, but not the second, and I wouldn't be surprised if this restaurant splits that gratuity with the cooks and management who don't deserve it. Five stars for Sarah. One star for the rest. read more

This is a very pleasant all-day eatery overlooking the pool of the Melia hotel. We started with the baked potato skins, which were nicely crisped and amply topped with bacon, cheese, and green onions, and served with a cup of sour cream. Classic pub food. For our mains we had two specials, the crispy fish sandwich and the quesadilla. Both were good. I particularly liked the salad that came with the sandwich (fries were another option). There is also an extensive pizza menu (served until late) and a selection of pastas and burgers. Nicole was a great server. In addition, everyone we encountered from the hotel front desk to the restaurant hostess, to the food runners was very friendly. A nice experience. read more

I had a breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread and Swiss Cheese instead of American cheese, and salad instead of tater tots. Good selection and good presentation. A delightful little place tucked into a hotel. The indoor decor was cozy and adorable on a frigid Florida night. A couple of tv's are hung for sports viewing. The menu is eclectic. Something for everyone from pizza and burgers to healthy grain bowls and pasta entrees. Our party had a burger, a bbq chicken pizza, and a falafel bowl. All were delicious and out quickly. Other yelpers are aware I frequent Melia and the Wilson as I love this hotel and all their fun events. Today I came out for a dog event because their events are always a lot of fun, however because the low attendance manager Zack blessed me with some coupons for the Wilson. I decided to come back for dinner at night and take advantage of the coupons. I ordered two of their three available mocktail and they are all good. I also ordered the basil pesto pizza. Clive was an excellent server, very soft spoken and great at his service. The manager Zack went out of his way to make the experience excellent for both me and my dog. I have had the margarita pizza before but now I had the basil pesto and this was just delicious and highly recommended, definitely a lot better than the margarita one and they are both the same price - but that is personal taste. Elvis my dog child had a grilled chicken breast with broccoli. Also very grateful to be seated inside even with my dog, because it was very loud outside and then on top of that an unexpected storm broke out, so the fact I was inside in the nice fancier interior with lots of atmosphere was great. This place was wonderful! We booked a breakfast reservation online for 10:45am, but one of the hosts called on the morning of the reservation to let us know that the kitchen actually closes at 10:45am. They offered to seat us earlier, but we weren't able to make it in time. We decided to arrive at 10:35am hoping they might already be serving lunch, and the host was kind enough to seat us right away and take our breakfast order before the kitchen fully switched over. We were seated by 10:40am and received our drinks within a few minutes, which we really appreciated. Our food arrived about 20 minutes later (which was totally reasonable, especially considering they accommodated us at the last minute). We ordered the Smashed Avocado Toast with one egg and The Breakfast Plate. Both dishes were delicious. The avocado/guac on the toast was so good, and the tater tots were perfectly crispy (our favorite pat of the meal). Paired with mimosas, it was the perfect start to our day. The only drawback for us was the pricing. Paying $19 for a single slice of toast with avocado and an egg felt excessive, and while the breakfast plate was also $19, it felt slightly more reasonable in comparison. Overall, it was a pricey breakfast, and that alone makes us hesitant to return. However, the food was great, the staff was kind, and the service was impressively fast. read more

Writing this as I sit here: Service for breakfast is very slow, and just seems to be poorly organized. The restaurant is not even half full at 9am on Saturday morning and everything is taking a very long time - coffee, food, check. Food: we both ordered the breakfast platter. It took 30 minutes to get to us. Overall quality was ok. Admittedly I am not a huge breakfast person - it's either Ok or bad. This was an 'OK-' Service: it was ok. They were busy so I'm not going to criticize. Plus, I have a soft spot for breakfast servers. I think they work just as hard, or harder, for smaller checks and tips. They did drop the check before the food arrived. I was actually ok with this as we started to run late and I didn't want to have to wait for it. Still unorthodox. Would I go again: Probably not, even if I'm staying in the hotel. read more

I'm not usually one to complain but the 65$ Easter brunch was absolutely disappointing and I would never do it again. We were taken upstairs to a room with dirty tables where we were told to "pick a clean one" with dirty tables all around. There was not a single waiter upstairs to get drinks with until we got one's attention later. The food was extremely disappointing and some were cold. Everyone can warm up chicken tenders and put them in a dish for people to grab to go with their frozen potatoes and pre-made desserts. The reviews on The Wilson are extremely misleading as the bunch is nothing like the bar and their food. 65$ for this is ridiculous. read more

Upon Entering The Wilson, you have a very classy ambiance. This is the perfect brunch location. I stood at the Melia and enjoyed food poolside as well as at dinner. The service was very professional and the servers were always attentive even by the pool. I would suggest coming here even if you aren't staying at the hotel. read more

I really wanted to like The Wilson at the Meliá Resort, but the food was honestly terrible -- like high school cafeteria on a bad day terrible. $5 toast that somehow wasn't toasted at all. Just... warm bread. The waffle and pancake were completely inedible -- dry, flavorless, and clearly not made with any care. The omelet looked and tasted like it was constructed by a toddler using frozen vegetables straight out of the bag. No seasoning, weird texture, just bad. For a resort that's supposed to feel upscale, the food was shockingly low quality. This wasn't "not my taste" -- it was objectively poor execution across the board. Service and atmosphere can't make up for food this bad, especially at these prices. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else. read more

Went on a family trip and we stayed at Meliá celebration. And that's what where Wilson's is located. The staff at Wilson's were so amazing. Super helpful and just genuine! The chef at dinner time came out greeted us, handed us our food. Kept checking in with us. It was wonderful! Just the best service. So they do have different dinning options available, inside and outside or in there patio area over by poolside. I ordered the buttered chicken and sub it with rice. The food was great. Honestly the lobster blt was to die for. The flavor and just how freshly made the sandwich was. Would totally recommend getting it. the guacamole and chips were fresh as well. We also ordered dessert and the salted ice cream alone would have been great but we ordered the cookie skillet and it was too much for me. Just too sweet in my opinion. read more

We dined in for lunch. I have to give only 2 stars for one reason specifically. Our meal was great, better than I would have expected, given it was lunchtime, and the lunch menu isn't that exciting. Our hostess was great. She actually went above my expectations because she was friendly, but specifically, I left an item at the table when we got back to the hotel. I realized I left it and called. She went out to the table and got it and put it behind the hostess podium and said we could come get it at any time. Our waiter was helpful and nice. He was careful not to serve me anything containing gluten. Specifically, he thought the fries were gluten-free, but he checked, and they were not cooked in a dedicated fryer. Next, the food was really good. I ordered a gluten-free pizza. Gluten-free pizza can only be so good in all honesty, so my expectations are generally low. However, the pizza was a little soggy right. It was edible. It was soggy in the center because they put a lot of toppings on. I am not complaining. The pizza was GOOD. the toppings were GOOD. The sauce was GOOD. I actually give it a 5/5. My husband's chicken sandwich was great. It looked like literally crispy fried perfection. My cocktail was good, too. So, why 2 stars? This restaurant has a very pretty outdoor area with umbrellas to eat and drink and even a play area for kids. They show this area a LOT on their Instagram. They show people posing in this area and make it enticing. Let me add, on this day it was raining and we were the ONLY customers outside eating. So, as paying customers my HUSBAND is taking a photo of me in my little cute outfit and my cute cocktail and the manager comes running outside from inside and jumped in MY FACE like he wanted to fight and accused me of having a "photoshoot". He was literally in my face yelling and didn't have anything to say to my husband. Anyhow, he yells at me and gets in my face, then storms off. WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT? Is this how a manager should treat paying customers? Anyway unfortunately, on top of that, I do have a large social media following, so I definitely told them about this experience because people literally go there to see those cute umbrellas and take a photo. Why would I tell people rhis knowing they may be accosted by the manager? We did nothing wrong and nothing different than anyone else. So, even though everyone else was fantastic, that manager is what earned the Wilson 2 stars out of 5 and it would be 1 star had everyone else not been awesome. You don't jump in women's faces like you want to hit them in ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. I don't know who would provide coaching to this manager, but he needs training on customer service and hospitality and overall decency to know you dont treat women that way! I don't know if this had anything to do with race, but like I said, my husband was right there, and he didn't even look his way. read more

To this day, I regret not asking for a refund after experiencing the so-called $65 Easter Brunch buffet at The Wilson Orlando. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences my family ever had. I was so embarrassed to treat my mom and dad to this meal. Don't get sold on the Easter bunny that just walked by the table and their pathetic egg hunt by the pool that included everyone swimming, as it was not exclusive to those that paid $65, and my boys didn't even get to find any eggs. We arrived with anticipation, only to be met with chaos as they were still setting up from breakfast, making us wait a painful 40 minutes to be seated. When we finally sat down, the food selection was shockingly abysmal. They offered a random assortment of chicken strips, bacon, tater tots, country potatoes, French fries (yes, three different types of potatoes!), watery scrambled eggs, a dry and completely inedible leg of lamb, a single bland pasta, focaccia pizza, and barely seasoned green beans. To top it off, the desserts were clearly pre-made and lacked any freshness. How can a restaurant justify calling this a brunch buffet? With such a limited and poorly executed menu, it felt more like a sad cafeteria than a reputable dining experience. The lack of variety, the poor quality of the food, and the unnecessary wait made it a waste of time and money. Save yourself the regret--avoid The Wilson Orlando at all costs. read more

A hidden gem inside of the Melia hotel, with a very aesthetic dog friendly patio and modern beachy indoor seating. The dog menu is super fun and the outdoor patio is shaded and has fake grass. The hummus was really good, I love the crunchy chickpeas on top, I would've rather pita bread vs tortillas to dip in it. The mahi sandwich is huge and flavorful, the fries are delicious. The lobster BLT was my least favorite but still flavorful. read more

I have eaten at several of the NYC establishments owned by this hospitality group. The Wilson ranks right up there alongside the others. For a hotel lobby restaurant, it far exceeded our expectations. The menu is not extensive but they do all of it well. We had appetizers and then four different entrees. Each was prepared correctly and was delicious. One member of our group eats gluten free. They were able to accommodate. The service was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable and professional. The manager stopped by to see how we were enjoying our visit . The atmosphere was chic and inviting. We stayed at Melia Orlando Celebration October 31-Nov 1 2025. This is our second visit this year (we stayed here April 18/19 this year). We had travelled all day from Toronto and arrived at the Melia shortly after 5pm. We were told the hotel happy hour had just ended but we saw a sign that said the restaurant (The Wilson) had a happy hour from 3-6pm. The three of us ordered drinks off the happy hour menu and they were great. My friend isn't a big drinker so she ordered a Mudslide. It wasn't on the menu but we asked our server if it could be made as it is a very common mixed drink. He left to check if the bartender knew how to make it and came back with the drink. Great! Around 6:30, we attempted to locate our server to get our bills and he was nowhere to be found. We walked into the bar to see if we could find someone and the manager approached us and after two requests, he gave us our bills. Surprise! We had been charged correctly for most of our drinks except for one which was ordered before 6pm but entered into the computer after 6pm so was rung in at the non-happy hour price. Not our issue. My friend's bill had the mudslide on it and she had been charged for each shot in the drink vs. the cost of a mixed drink. Mudslides are great but not for $25 USD. We asked the manager to come over to ask for an explanation since our server was still not around and were met with an air of rudeness "one question at a time please" from him. I asked why we were wrongly charged for the pre-6pm drink and the 2 shots in the mudslide. He said he didn't know so went to find our server. Our server came over and explained that it's a difficult drink to make and that that's how it's charged. Not true, it's cream, baileys and vodka blended with ice. It's not like it's a Long Island Iced Tea. The bartender has used ice cream instead of cream but aside from that, it was a normal Mudslide. At no other establishment have we ever been charged individually for the shots in a mixed drink. It's typically one cost. We expected it to align with the rest of the drinks on the menu ($12-15) not $25 (two shots at $12 and $13). No apology or acknowledgement of the oversight or lack of clarification was given or offered to us at any time, including when it was brought to the table. I simply said that he should have come back to tell us that yes they could make the drink but that each shot would be charged separately. We weren't asking for a price adjustment or for it to be removed (although that would have been an easy fix to appease the situation), a simple explanation and apology could have completely corrected the situation. Instead, we left with a very disappointed and pissed off feeling. And then we realized that despite selecting $0 for a tip, The Wilson charged an 18% gratuity anyways. The lack of customer service was appalling to be honest. The Melia itself was great and our room was spacious and clean (Family Room #228) but our experience at the hotel's restaurant (The Wilson) has ended any form of referral from us or return visit. We will not be back. Very disappointed. read more

Great atmosphere, food and service. The best part is they are super dog friendly. They have a menu for the pups and it even comes with a dessert section. My dog loved it so so much and I cant wait to take him back there for a special occasion. The steak he ate was $20 but the boy has been knocked out and happy ever since he ate haha. Stellar Restaurant! This place has a very good vibe of being both upscale but still down to earth. The food and presentation is amazing. The hotel grounds are beautiful . You can see by the pictures below of the pool and movie/lounge area, that this is a great place for families to chill and relax while taking a break from the parks. The decor at The Wilson is really fun too as they have pictures of famous "wilsons" on their wall including Owen and Luke Wilson and the volleyball "Wilson" from the movie Castaway:) Customer service wise, you can't get much better. All of the staff really cares that you were there and the server we had made sure our entire meal experience was pleasant. read more
