The Win-dow is definitely a gem that I'm glad I got to experience! The staff were all so sweet and the service was pretty fast. There's a small outdoor seating area by the pickup window as well as some tables and chairs wrapped around the other side of the building. I didn't have to wait for a spot, but it seems tables turnover quickly. I got the single cheeseburger with everything on it and also got to try the Brussel sprouts and fries. Everything was 10/10. The cheeseburger itself was one of the best smash burgers I've ever had. The bun was so incredibly soft and pillowy and the sauce was so delicious. This is now become one of my favorite burger spots. I've been wanting to try the Win-dow as they have a location in LA but never came around to it while I was there. This is the perfect pre or post beach lunch and I really appreciated the affordable prices. The people working were very friendly and answered all my questions about the menu. There is plenty of outside seating which was ideal for the sunny day I came on. The line can get a tad bit long but it does move quickly. The patties are perfectly charred and the toppings melt together beautifully to create the most solid, yet simple burger I've had in a while. I was most excited about their dipped cones, which are fresh and creamy. The peanut buddy is a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate, covered in a crunchy but smooth peanut coating. Wonderful, wonderful, amazing place with lots of seating and parking! Dang. What a great burger experience. Worth the hype. We tried their cheeseburger and their double cheeseburger. The buns were buttery soft and the meat was perfect. My biggest worry with smash burgers are that they always tend to be greasy but not these! Also the portion size was perfect. We each got fries as well. They were perfectly crunchy. How all fries should taste. We got two sauces: their house sauce (think thousand island) and jalapeño. The house sauce was my favorite for the burger and fries but the jalepeno would be great on a chicken sandwich (which they have!). One of the big winners of the night was their milkshake. We got their local strawberry. It was perfectly creamy and the strawberries tasted hella fresh. Would highly recommend. Everyone that worked there was lovely and fast. It's a small joint where you order at the window and the call out your name. There's seating around the location on either side with only about 4 true tables so when it gets busy I could forsee big groups having a hard time finding a spot to sit. This is officially my favorite Smashburger in town (sorry, Third Window)! Their prices are super reasonable and the food is delicious! The massive lines have gone down since this place first opened in Santa Barbara. I've also had the SB Grain Bowl made with brown rice, six veggies, two seeds, and soft egg which is pretty yummy too. I was still pretty hungry though after eating, it so next time I added a Patty. Parking can be difficult, but can usually be found on the street if the small parking lot which it shares with Lighthouse Coffee and other businesses is full. read more

Okay so I've had this place before and used to get it a few times when I worked out there in that area but I haven't been in awhile and decided to go again since it is almost a 45 min. She didn't push me to buy anything instead just gave her honest opinions about the items I questioned about and it made me want to purchase it lol.. and btw all the food was good per usual!!! The stool is a flat circle with the smallest diameter possible, and a terrible inch wide ledge to somehow rest your feet on?? First of all I want to note they automatically add 3% surcharge to your bill. You can decline it, but you have to tell them. Hubs ordered it and I snuck a bite or two. Classic smash burger style. It's the size of the burgers at ... dare I say it (In n Out). The price wasn't bad either at $4.35. Hubs had the hand spun vanilla bean milkshake $6. It was topped with whipped cream. He luved it, saying it tasted like true vanilla bean and not artificially flavored. I had the fresh lemonade, it was sour tarty, sweet deliciousness. I don't know what got into me but I ordered the "$8 grain bowl". It had brown rice, six veggies, two seeds, and a soft egg. I went in blind not knowing what were the veggies and seeds. It was gorgeous and fresh looking. My tastebuds battled me on the first few bites (I think it wanted more of that cheeseburger) but gradually started to enjoy the taste and flavors. Fresh crisp veggies, fluffy nutty brown rice. Oh I have to mention the size of the soft serve cones. Sweet goodness, those were as tall as my Charlie Brown head. And gorgeous looking, works of art. Hubs and I did not get one, but almost everyone around me did. The seating is all outdoors. The patio could sure do with a power washing though.
