I don't even want to give them 1 star. I can forgive a lot when it comes to food service but I cannot forgive horrible customer service. The person at your register taking orders needs to treat customers on the phone or in person like she even CARES that they're in there about to spend money with their company. Possibly the best crab rangoon in town! Sesame chicken is great too! However, the staff are somewhat rude and no substitutions allowed (Even when you offer to pay whatever it cost to do so). Careful with the carry out containers. They don't shut well and sauce usually ends up everywhere. read more

Went to the restaurant for a takeout order. Brought food home and realized they gave us the wrong meal. Called because we are in the delivery area and they told us we had to come in. My wife took it in and they refused to refund or even give us new food. What can you say about a restaurant that gives that kind of service? I'm pretty sure there are 3 or 4 Asian families that own all the Chinese food places in Springfield. China Wok may be the exception. When I order sesame chicken I actually have to wait a few minutes since they make the food to order instead of just grabbing a handful of Mcdonalds chicken nuggets that are sitting under a warming light in the kitchen. The crab rangoon are bite size and very tasty. Though, being so small 6 would be preferable to just 3 on a combo. Service is ok. They could benefit from another cashier during busy times as the line goes out the door at times. Good for what it is, Chinese take out. When we had the NERVE to ask if it would be much longer (35 minutes in), we were met with a very, VERY rude reply that finalized our decision to never return. We watched people come in, order, and get food before us, in addition to phone calls and deliveries made (and the driver return) before we got ours. Had we not already paid we would have walked out without our order. Our order that took 45 minutes to get and was wrong. In addition to being wrong, some was cold, some was only partially cooked, and all was inedible. Jesus wept. Save yourself the frustration and go ANY where else. Oh, the best part? I have been trying to find a good Chinese food place since i moved here in May, and finally believe i've found one!! My dad and I ate here last night, it's priced just like any other Chinese sit down place. The food was sOooOooOo yummy! We had steamed Wontons, Crabragoon, Eggrolls, and a couple different entrees. In a town with an abundance of good Chinese cuisine restaurants China Wok is one of my favorites. I like the Cashew Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and the Orange Chicken. Their Crab Rangoon's are probably some of my favorite in town. There isn't anything fancy about this place but that's what I like about it. A frequent customer of China Wok, my girlfriend and I ate there Monday night. The food was good however, a young girl working there at the cash register didn't seem to be enjoying her job. After we sat down, we asked her for some straws for our drinks and she said yes you can go get those at the counter they were there when you ordered. Later, she walked right past our table after going to the restroom and didn't even asked to fill my water glass. When I said thank you, she grunted basically. You can't really go wrong with their Hunan chicken. I haven't had too much breaded chicken there, but they do ask if you would like white or dark meat. This is our Friday night take-out of choice. We typically order the same entrees and are always happy with the consistency of the freshness and quality of the food. When taking the orders, the server usually suggests 15-20 minutes for pickup, however, we have learned to wait at least 30 minutes before leaving to pick up. Usually the order is ready upon arrival, however, there have been times we waited several minutes for the orderl--but the food is always good, so we keep coming back! read more

Absolutely the worst service tonight. My family usually gets China Wok when we order out for Chinese. We know they are slow with their deliveries but after 2 phone calls wondering where our food was and almost 2 hours and 15 minutes later we were delivered food that felt like it was cooked an hour ago. The driver said he forgot our drinks and acted like he didn't want to go back to the store and get them. I called up the store to complain and request a refund because of the cold food, missing drinks, and 2+ hour wait. The manager decided to argue with us claiming we were lying about everything. Pretty bad over cooked food. Every item we ordered tasted old/dried out/over cooked and just bland. They forgot one of our items but we got charged for it anyway then had to spend the next 20 minutes trying to get through the constant busy signals to get someone to answer. When I finally got to speak to the manager and told him our order was short an item he said he would see if he could credit us the money back to our credit card but it was was dependent on his online vendor "Menufy" to try to correct?????? My boyfriend and I decided to head over to China Wok around 9:50ish we didn't know that they close at ten. We approached the front counter and the cashier was very rude to us. She had the smirk on her face like "more people.. Ugh.." I realize its ten till close your still open till 10:00 you have to serve us food. Period. Don't order from here. We have ordered 2 times from them once online and once over the phone. The first time we waited over an hour for our food that we ordered online. We finally decided to give them a call they told us that they didn't check the fax and forgot about us. That they don't know when it came it and it wasn't their fault. Then one the second time, the gentleman who answered the phone was rude and you could tell he didn't care and more than likely didn't take our order. We were told 30 to 45 minutes for our food. Then they called us an hour later when it was already suppose to be there we get a call from them saying that they lost our order and they were going to give us store credit (not a refund but store credit).
