My 93 year young dad and myself had been looking into re-doing the kitchen cabinets. We weren't happy with what we were seeing so we decided to honor mom. She was big on craftsmanship and quality. We did really well, until we got to the drawers. One of the supporting pieces of wood just got worn down until it broke in half. We contacted several cabinet shops and most people couldn't be bothered. Found this place and what a pleasant surprise! Dad dropped off the broken piece of wood and I called to discuss if this was even a possibility. One of the owners, Bobbie answered the phone in the midst of a computer crash chaos. Her husband was frantically trying to get their system and their business back up and running. Yet, she was above and beyond knowledgeable, pleasant and most helpful! She explained that our cabinets were old school craftsmanship that required old school hand tools. She was honest enough to say her crew wouldn't know what to do with old school tools or cabinets. But her husband, the owner, is a master of both! She explained that their computer system was a priority but they would attempt a turnaround within the week. We gave as much information as was needed and dropped off the drawer so they could see what was involved. To our surprise, the part was ready when dad went in the next day! Not only do these folks know their business inside out, old school, new school, but they are just amazing. I went online to see some of their work and it is amazing! When we're ready for new cabinets, I won't be going anywhere else! You don't know how happy you made dad and thank you! And thank you for making my life so much easier! Back in December 2021, after extensive shopping around, I contracted with Bobbie and Dennis to do a vanity/pantry for our main bathroom remodel. From our first meeting to the last they were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Today the cabinets were delivered and I am beyond blown away. These are the most beautiful, high quality cabinets I have ever had in my home. From the wood quality to the workmanship they are exquisite. I am grateful the help and quality of work both Bobbie and Dennis provided. I had small/moderate job and they were willing to take on the job. The house we bought 20 years ago( Sunnyvale CA), came with builtin refrigerator, when it started acting up 18 months ago, I was debating whether to spring for another built in vs counter depth refrigerator. Fortunately, (in hind sight), our built-in didnt have cabinet around it. When I realized the cost of 42" bulit-in is 12K vs 3K for counter depth, it was a easy switch! BTW the built in 42'' has same 22 cu ft space as standard counter depth refrigerator for 1/4th the price. Bobbie designed and built a refrigerator cabinet and a pull out spice rack in the existing space. She used every mm of space and trick to maximize the spice rack we could have. She also recommended the finishing contractor and installation contractors. Both were impeccable in their quality of work. We now have a refrigerator and cabinet and spice rack, all costing less than half the price of built in!! Ordered doors from these guys for a set of cabinets I built, which actually come from a wholesaler in Gilroy (www.caldoor.com). Wood Connection builds all the bases and drawers, then they get the doors from Cal Door. Their price on the doors was the most reasonable I could find and they didn't charge shipping as they bundled it with another order they were getting from Cal Door. Souther Lumber wanted to charge me for this even though I was only ordering 4 doors. I can't speak for their cabinet bases, but their customer service and owner are very informative and easy to work with. I'd definitely consider them when doing a complete kitchen, bathroom etc. read more

We contracted with the Wood Connection to do custom cherry cabinets for our kitchen, Audio Visual cabinets for our family room, and a window bench seat with flanking cabinets for our living room (both stained). Our neighbors were floored when they saw the finished product and we are so thrilled w/ the final result! (It's worth pointing out that they *manufacture* cabinets, but do not *install* them, so you will need to find a contractor to do that for you, or be pretty handy yourself. In my case, we were doing a large remodel, so I already had a great contractor to work with.) Where do I start? Dennis and Bobbie are wonderful! They listen to the customer, madke multiple on site visits to make sure the measurements (and installation) were *exactly* right, and worked around my contractor's shifting schedules. Their prices are also very reasonable. We have more cabinetry to do for our study remodel (never ends, does it??) and you can be sure we will continue to use the Wood Connection. Mike was referred to me by Dennis at The Wood Connection (408) 971-2710 where they do specialized in kitchen cabinets. Dennis came to my house and gave me advice - for free- regarding if I should change the whole kitchen cabinets or just refinishing the cabinets. Dennis did not try to sell me his services and looked for what is was better for me so he referred me to Mike Sims. Mike was very straight forward and went out of is way to please us. I love the vanity that was built for our bathroom. Dennis and Bobbie were great to work with during this process. We discovered during the bathroom remodel that the walls surrounding the vanity were not square. Dennis was able to come up with a solution to accommodate the different widths. I had my heart set on a cabinet with all drawers. In hindsight, a cabinet with all doors would have been easier. Dennis was able to provide a solution on how I could still get the drawers I wanted, but cut them in ways to accommodate the pipes and sink.
