Great food! We had the hibachi and dollar wings. Sat at the bar and watched football. Services was great and a super cool atmosphere.

Service was good and very friendly, portion sizes were extremely generous, and well priced. That said, the food wasn't great. Very greasy all around. I was the only one who didn't thin the sausage was gross. My frittata had a ton of mozzarella cheese which added no flavor but a ton of calories, one bite of the grit cake and it had very little taste but a lot of fat in it. I had brunch here once before a few years ago and I remember there being some healthier options on the menu and I don't remember it being this greasy. J.Ja

They seemed to have an extremely large and extensive selection of beers, so if you're a beer lover, this'll be the perfect place for you! My cocktail (vodka pineapple) wasn't great, but that's probably my fault for ordering a liquor drink at a beer garden, or biergarten. Surprisingly, my chicken tenders and fries were very good, and far exceeded my expectations! The bartender was also a really cool guy, very nice and friendly! All-in-all, this was a good trip to Republic Biergarten, and I'm excited to go back on a more lively night in the future!

I visited Old Chicago in Columbia, SC on Friday at approximately 4:30 PM with my wife and sister…read more Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience we've had here, which was especially disappointing because we've visited multiple times in the past and always recommended this restaurant to others. When we arrived, we were told the pizza oven was down. That wasn't a huge issue, so I specifically asked our waitress if it would affect anything else on the menu. She initially told us it would not. After we were seated and ordered our appetizer, we were then informed that the Spinach & Artichoke Dip couldn't be made because the pizza oven was down. That directly contradicted what we had just been told. If other menu items were unavailable, we should have been informed before ordering. My wife ordered an Irish Mule, and it was poorly made. We've ordered drinks here before without any issues, so this was surprising and disappointing. I ordered the French Dip, and it was one of the worst I've ever been served. The sandwich arrived already completely soaked through with au jus, making the bread soggy and falling apart before I even picked it up. The au jus itself was unusually thick and slimy instead of being a light dipping sauce. The presentation looked rushed and careless, as if no attention had been paid to plating. The service only got worse from there. After our food was delivered, no one came back to check on us, ask how everything was, or offer refills. We eventually had to flag someone down just to get our check. I also think the wait staff could benefit from better training in professionalism and guest interaction. The overall service felt awkward and inattentive. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that my wife and I have always enjoyed coming here. We brought my sister because we genuinely believed she'd have a great experience based on our previous visits. Instead, it was honestly embarrassing. Being from New York City and Boston, we've eaten at plenty of restaurants, and this visit simply didn't meet even basic expectations. We spent $93.47, and unfortunately, it felt like money wasted. This wasn't just a mediocre meal--it was an experience that made me feel embarrassed for recommending the restaurant in the first place. I sincerely hope this was just an off day because Old Chicago has been a great establishment in the past. However, based on this visit, I can't recommend it until the food quality, communication, and service improve.

I enjoyed the sweet potato fries too. I did get the all American blt burger. It wasn't anything special. Burger were not smashed, even though they were called smash burgers. I'm not sure if they were shortstaffed, but it definitely took a long time to get our food and apparently they were waiting for one particular sandwich to come out to bring the entire table so everybody's buns were completely fried on the top and needed to be replaced from the heat lamp. One person in our party got fries and didn't ask for him and of course they were on the bill, the Pepsi was flat and the waters were leaking all over the table. Our server was extremely sweaty and may need to consider a towel or something as he is greeting and serving tables. Food was OK. We had the smash burger, the BLT Smashburger, a grilled honey chicken plate the pineapple burger, a BLT type sandwich and the K-pop Korean chicken sandwich. We may consider giving it a try again. The chicken sandwich was really good and so were the Parmesan truffle fries, but I'm not convinced it's worth that kind of wait.

I tried the street corn dip. Although, the portion felt a bit small for the price, the flavor was good. The street tacos come on corn tortillas, which were a little dry. I recommend asking for a lime wedge. A squeeze of lime made all the difference. There's plenty of seating for large groups, and we were seated quickly without any wait. Service was fantastic. Our server checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. They also offer daily specials and a weekday Happy Hour from 4-7 PM. On Sundays, they serve brunch from 11 AM-3 PM and run football specials with beer buckets and pitchers. Overall, friendly service, good food, and a comfortable place to dine especially for groups.

Needless to say we hit the jackpot on this random whim. Upon entering the restaurant is so spacious with ample seating, we were immediately greeted and seated by staff. Our sever was Mariah C. and she was just as lovely and bubbly as can be. In a very enjoyable and genuine way not annoying at all. Please note if you think the margaritas are strong and you might be seeing double you are... Mariah is a twin and yes they both work there. It was a little chuckle we all shared when the Margs started to hit. We opted to get all shareable items... 1 Pitcher Casa Margarita 2 Mundo Wings (8) 1 El Mundo Salad Grilled Shrimp 1 Street Taco Chicken (3) 1 Guacamole Both my sister and I, enjoyed everything we ordered. The margaritas were perfect and both the salsa and the guacamole were a hit. The wings were both well seasoned and cooked to perfection. A good wing can always stand alone without any sauces and the Mundo Wings did just that. The El Mundo Salad with grilled Shrimp was lite and refreshing yet very filling. We shared it because we both wanted to try a few items, but acknowledged we could've order the salad and been satisfied. The only items that needed a little extra love was the street tacos, however a little salsa and hot-sauce helped elevate the flavor profile for us. To be honest the food and service was great but what made Taco Mundo a hit and a spot both my sister and I said is must on my next visit was Ida/Ayda (I forgot to ask the correct spelling of her name). Needless to say she was amazing, as a fellow NYer we just clicked and she really spoke our "same language". It was so refreshing to come across someone so cool and relatable. We really enjoyed our experience at Taco Mundo. Just A Note: The Casa Margarita Pitchers are $18 for Thirsty Thursdays.
