Popover and strawberry butter. Heaven.

Perfection. As always. From the staff to the food to the ambiance. I will be devastated when she closes.

From the holiday buffet...delish salads!

The holiday buffet was simply divine, as was the service. Gorgeous ambiance as well...THE SPOT for the holiday season!

Great food and service, hate to see Neiman Marcus closing Downtown Dallas Store. Still have a chance to visit for a few weeks.

Prosecco... for the ladies of course

Pros: quiet, plenty of menu selections, and shopping at Neimans afterwards. Cons: terrible parking options. Slow service. Went to the Zodiac with my mom to meet a friend and her mom for lunch. A lovely ladies afternoon. It was nice to have the restaurant so quiet as my mom has a tough time hearing so there was her little ambient noise which makes a big difference to her. The food was generally well liked, but nothing was super noteworthy. Overall, it was a solid experience, but nothing that distinctly stood out.

Prime rib and all the trimmings.

The ambiance is inside of Neiman's so at Christmas time, it is just beautiful. Very elegant Christmas buffet with almost everything you can think of for Christmas time. Prime Rib, ham, baked chicken and an abundance of sides. Dessert is brought to your table.

Outstanding Holiday Buffet! I will make this a new holiday tradition! My friend and I had a reservation weeks in advance. We were seated shortly after checking in and we were a bit early. All staff members were very friendly and on top of everything. I was impressed with the food. It was a unique buffet. Once we were seated we were given popovers and a small type of sipping soup that was wonderful. The buffet has a salad table and then a hot foods table. Each table is a variety of unexpected items in my opinion. Everything was delicious, well prepared and presented well. I was too full to even get all the things I wanted or to go back for seconds. The ambiance was perfect. I only photographed the desserts as you can see and those were an excellent surprise. We had also Ordered cocktails and they were perfection. It was exactly what you expect from Neiman Marcus.

Scallops

Enjoyed this place. I had the braised pot roast and my friend had the scallops. My pot roast 4/5. It was delicious! Just super small portion. The scallops were huge and the mushrooms in his dish were very flavorful. Service was excellent. They were very short staffed but she did her best. This is a nice quiet place to have lunch meetings. I'll definitely return.

Lunch to celebrate my friends birthday and we had a wonderful experience. We had the burger, pot roast, and pear & goronzola salad. Definitely a step up from our usual lunch spots and enjoyed the ambiance. Our server Martha was amazing! Highly recommend requesting her when you go, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I started off by splitting the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket which were good but I wouldn't order again. It just didn't seem to be anything over the top special so I would rather order something else as an app. My husband ordered the fried chicken and I got the Crispy Chicken Katsu. Both were delicious and I would definitely recommend trying both! The Katsu came with a spicy mayo that made the sandwich perfect! The fried chicken is massive so definitely share that or go home with left overs. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I sampled a few bites from everyone's plates, including the Pepperoni & Italian Sausage Pizza, Fried Chicken (buttermilk biscuit, smashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts), and the Crunchy Chicken Tacos (queso Oaxaca, refried black beans, roasted corn slaw, and salsa borracha). Everything I tried had great flavor and was well prepared. I also tried the Spicy Rigatoni with chicken sausage, roasted mushrooms, spinach, Calabrian panna, and pecorino breadcrumbs. I customized mine by swapping the chicken sausage for blackened chicken and removing the mushrooms, and it was delicious! Several people in our group ordered the Beer Battered Fish & Chips with coleslaw and tartar sauce, and they all raved about it. Overall, Culinary Dropout was a great choice for a birthday celebration good food, a fun atmosphere, and plenty of options for everyone at the table. My only takeaway would be that I'd love to see a few more menu options added, but the dishes we tried were enjoyable and the experience was definitely a good one.

The freshly grated Parmesan on top was chef's kiss. Tuna and Avocado Roll: this was fresh and paired nicely with the sauce. 10/10 **Entrees** I got the Joey Classic Steak (on accident lol) but I'm not disappointed. The steak was cooked perfectly. The "crispy mashed potatoes" were unexpected lol. They were more like mashed potato eggrolls/flautas, but tasted fine. Id give this plate a solid 8/10. My cousin ordered the New York strip and she had just about the same notes on her dish. 8/10 My other cousin ordered the Steak Ravioli Blanco, she cleared her plate so I'm going to assume that she really liked it lol. 10/10 Lastly our waitress brought out a complimentary dessert since we were celebrating my cousin's bachelorette weekend, this was such a nice gesture, I think it was cheesecake and the flavor was delicious so 10/10

Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!…read more HATED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. PISS. POOR. EXPERIENCE. EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. VALET. NOT. FREE. I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K
