The candle lab is located in Corona and offer many services. They have candle workshops, perfume workshops and I believe they can also make your curated scent into a body butter as well. The owner is so knowledgeable about perfume making and I truly enjoyed her lecture. She was fun to work with and really explained how perfumes really works. She broke down the base and notes of the perfume. Not only was it a fun journey through scent discovery, it was also very educational. The scents she offer smelled so divine and I would love to come back to make another item from them. The only thing I wished was that the bottles our perfume came in were more sturdy. Let me just start by saying: Cudos to my hubby for the accidental best date night ever! He planned this surprise trip to Thee Candle Lab... but didn't realize you actually needed an appointment. Classic. We drove forever to get there, so I was preparing my "it's okay babe, at least we tried" face -- but the staff were absolute angels and still squeezed us in even though they were slammed with another event. Heroes in aprons! The vibe inside? Chill, cozy, and low-key magical. Right away they had us choose our candle containers, which felt like picking our wands at Olivander's. They had so many cool options, but the one that called to me had hummingbirds and butterflies -- my signs from my late grandparents. Sentimental AND gorgeous? Sold. My husband let me pick his too... because let's be real, it was going to end up being mine anyway. Then came the best plot twist: we got taken out back and suited up in lab coats like candle chemists. I have never felt more important. Next thing I know, I'm sniffing mystery scents like a professional fragrance detective and declaring things like "Hmm... a hint of citrus but with emotional depth!" We mixed. We poured. We conquered. The whole experience was SO MUCH FUN -- 10/10 would ditch dinner reservations for candle science again. Our total was $120 for both of us (we splurged on a few upgrades and zero regrets were had). We had such a blast at Drunk & Lit for our girl's Bach! We were able to set up before they opened & the DNL team helped us put up tinsels, offered their popcorn popper, popcorn, & Alexa echo for music! They also provided markers, chalk, black boards & cake stands for our treats! We brought mixers but didn't have alcohol & they offered a bottle of champagne! DNL is women & family owned (mom & daughters)! We were running behind schedule & freaking out but they were supportive & respectful! Our bride was so happy, she was in tears! This was the one thing she really wanted to do! The facility is clean, organized & Amy, Bella & Hope we're extremely patient with us, as our group showed up at different times and we were chatty because we were so excited to create our custom candles! I can't imagine how frustrating that must have been (imagine herding cats), but they handled it gracefully. They also offer a Body Balm!!! You can use the same scent or create a different scent and apply the balm at room temp or melt it (aka light it as a candle) then apply the melted wax as moisturizer/massage oil! I did the 3oz ($20), so I can take it for travel & have an excuse to come back sooner :) We selected our candle holder & sampled scents from the petit dishes & we're off to create our custom scent! In a separate room, they have 2 walls of their oils, where they mix your scent and can alter the ratio based on which scent you'd like to be more prominent. I like fruity & light, so I went with white tea & volcanic ashes, which smells citrusy. For my body balm, I selected white tea and grapefruit! Highly recommend it!! Next, we got to pick the color of our candle!! You can mix colors & Hope/Bella were fabulous in their recommendation! they walked us through the easy to follow steps & it was time for our candles to set while we snacked & sipped on bubblies! they send you home with a cute vial of matchsticks & party bag! this would be such a great team building event for companies or party idea for friends & family! I am so glad our bride & friends enjoyed the experience & will definitely return! They also offer membership!!! I'll defer to DNL for details :) thank you ladies!!! You made our day! read more

Went here with some friends last night...They have a great selection of bottles to choose from. I love the fact they you can have them cut your own bottle with enough notice. We only had 5 people in an hour and a half session , so I don't know how it would be with more people in one of the hour sessions, but Amy took plenty of time with each of us figuring out a mixture we liked. It was so much fun making own candles to our personal preference... I burned mine for the first time today for 3 hours in my upstairs bedroom with the window open and my daughter could smell it when she walked in the front door...My 2 year old grandson kept smelling it and saying yum, yum.. They used recycled alcohol bottles as a vase for the candles that you make and create the scent for. Not only that, but you get to choose the color and shimmer. We did the double workshop that was offered June 4th, so while we waited for our candles to sit, we made our own charcuterie board with an instructor to teach us how to do it!
