    Had such a fun experience here with my friend! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming, creative, and full of charm. The two lovely ladies who helped us were so kind and knowledgeable. I wanted a light, earthy floral scent and they guided me perfectly. What made it even more fun was how hands-on and creative the process was -- not only do you get to blend your own fragrance, but you also get to choose the color and even add special toppings for the final touch. It felt personal and special, like making a little piece of art I could take home. Such a great spot for a date, a girls' day, or even a thoughtful gift-making experience. I'll definitely be back!

    We hosted my husband's big birthday celebration at Thee Candle Lab, and while there were a few hiccups in communication at first, I really appreciate that we were able to talk things out. After connecting directly, everything made a lot more sense and any misunderstandings were cleared up. The actual event was super fun. Our guests had a great time making candles and perfumes, and the staff on-site were helpful and kind. The space is really cute and perfect for a cozy group activity. We brought some light decor and food, and everything came together for a sweet and memorable experience. Thank you again to Thee Candle Lab for taking the time to chat and for making sure things ended on a good note. We're happy with how it all turned out and truly appreciate the effort to make things right.

    This was a team building event and there were seven of us in total. You first choose the vessel that you want your candle to be in. Second, sit and smell around 30 scents to narrow down to your favorite four. Third, choose your candle color and toppings. You do have to wait 45 minutes for your candle to dry or you can come back at another time to pick up. Addie was helping our group with the scent ratios and colors. They have a Photo Booth in the back that you can take pictures and SMS them to your phone. This was a fun group activity and would definitely recommend giving it a try.

    The concept of Thee Candle Lab is both unique and sweet. I booked a workshop for a group of 4 pre-teens for a celebratory birthday activity. The online process to register was easy, and accessible. I was pleasantly surprised at the extensive availability for a Saturday afternoon. On site, the lab had a vast array of product selections for personalized fragrance and candle creations. We opted for the fragrance workshop, which allowed guests to layer two notes atop a base to make for a customized scent to take home. The bottles to select at the beginning of the activity were both visually appealing and fair in size. The experience was immersive and fun. Naming the scent as a final step in the process made for a really nice touch. In my head, I also thought that custom fragrance making would serve as even more memorable for our guests in comparison to other pre-teen birthday activities, which was a plus for me, as the host. Located in the heart of The District in Tustin, there are also several dining and shopping options to keep the party going afterwards. My only complaint is the customer service at this location. My group and I sensed the employee's marked unenthusiasm to assist us. She was very much interested in helping out a high maintenance walk-in guest who had a ton of questions about hosting a birthday party for her small child, which was perplexing to me. It was disappointing that we had pre-paid reservations (which aren't cheap by the way) yet this employee had no desire to acknowledge us when we arrived and was curt and disengaged during our time with her. Getting her attention was also an immense challenge. I guess I didn't fit her profile of a big spender. Her treatment killed the vibe for us. I will have to perhaps wear a Goyard tote next time and see what happens. My group mentioned this employee's behavior as much as their experience at the store so as party host, that made me feel that my money wasn't well spent. I wish my guests had left the experience on a more positive "note."

    Love! What a great experience. The workers made the experience. The main lady was so knowledgeable and helpful. We made perfumes and they helped us with making sure we got the scent we wanted!!! We got such grace as we navigate we liked or did not like or even changed our mind. Definitely recommend

    Last night I was invited to a private Galantine's event with some vendors in the property management profession to go come here and make our own candles! Not only is this the cutest and most creative idea to host an event, but it ended up being such an awesome experience! The price to make your own candle is $55 (with upgrades depending on the vessel you want to use) and they even offer perfume making for $75! We only did candles last night. This is a family run business that have other locations in Compton and Garden Grove; we went to the location in Tustin the The District. After spending time smelling numerous amounts of lovely (and not so lovely) scents, you get to choose up to 3 scents to add to your candle. The staff was super knowledgeable and experts in guiding which scents go well together and the difference between fruity notes versus earthy, etc. Then once you choose your scents, you go over and they guide you in filling up your own small glass of the highly concentrated fragrances from the beakers and you really do feel like a scientist! I went with Birthday Cake (strong vanilla notes), Palo Santa (woodsy/citrus), and Pear/Pomegranate. HEAR ME OUT, to each their own but I LOVE my scent! After combining all the fragrances and you pour your concoction into the melted wax and watch it mix to combine. After, they add your wick to the bottom of your vessel and then you pour the wax mixture into your jar while straightening our your wick with a popsicle stick. I choose an iridescent vessel and also choose to add iridescent shimmer in my wax (which she said you will only be able to see when the candle is melting!) and topped it off with a few iridescent beads for a little bit of pretty! They take your candle and place it in what looks like a flash freezer to solidify, which took about 20-25 minutes. They also have a service that cost $35 that you can come back with your same vessel and do a refill once your candle has completely finished, which is what me and some of my coworkers plan on doing (even though they only offer that service on Sundays and Wednesdays). I cannot wait to come back in the future and even try out their perfume making! Thank you Thee Candle Lab staff for being so accommodating and amazing last night!

    this is my boyfriend and I's second time coming. The first time we came was last year for an anniversary candle making activity, and this time for his birthday it was a perfume making class. We absolutely love coming here! The owner and the staff Bella and Cass are so sweet and helpful!! Will definitely come back with friends and fam

    We chose this spot for Mom's Afternoon Out and had so much fun! We left with gorgeous candles and truly enjoyed some much-needed adult time. Maria took the experience to the next level with her enthusiasm, kindness, and genuine passion for what she does.     What a fun lil activity to do with family or friends. Came here for a bday lil shindig. Surprise how big the space was. They can definitely accommodate big groups. Came on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm and surprisingly it was just our group. Perhaps it's a more personable approach for the staff to assist each person. Candle making is fairly simply but adding all that jazz to it makes it to fun! Love the creativity that they present. Roughly $60 pp and if you want to refill later. You can for only $35!     Thank you so much to Cass and Bella for a fun day!! I came in for the first time today with my friend Sara who is a regular here. We are both super happy with our fragrance choices. We came in today to celebrate my upcoming wedding dinner and had such a blast!! Super cute candle shop. They also have monthly memberships as well. I love the candle I made for my wife and I and the one I made for my daughter. Adding the shimmer and color to the wax was so cool!!

    We met Eliza when touring a venue for our wedding that required everything to be brought in. We followed up to see what wedding planning packages she had and safe to say this was the best decision made. Eliza, Tammy + Team provided the full service for our wedding. We hired them for planning, design, coordination, rentals, and florals and it made life so much easier. I had the best experience with Eliza and team with our weekly meetings for a few months to align on all the details. She understand and appreciated our mixed cultural background and how we wanted to incorporate elements of this for a Persian and Vietnamese wedding. I have always heard wedding planning to be stressful but safe to say my experience was the best and the day of the wedding went beautifully. Nothing ever goes to plan and I'm really happy Eliza and her team are experienced enough to adjust to last minutes changes such as guest no shows, etc. She captured our vision perfectly and I'm already thinking of future events I would plan with Bel Events again!

    Horrible experience, stay away!…read more This is a review for Eliza at BEL Events for her wedding planning services. We met Eliza at our venue 8 month before our wedding date. During the first session she presented herself well, and she talked and bragged a lot about her 18 yrs of experience in event planning and stories about how she handles wedding situations. So, we thought she is the right event planner for us and signed a contract. After signing the contract and making the payment, she was very hard to find and we did not see the expected action from her side, and every time we followed up, her response was: "don't worry I will manage everything before the wedding day". We were asking for the basics of planning such as timeline, vendor recommendations (a few to choose from) and communications (which was part of the contract) but not no action except a quote of her own rental service. We were getting closer to the wedding date and her lack of action made us so worried and very frustrated. Eventually we had to get involved and did almost 90% of the work ourselves. She was very hard to find but even when we could talk to her, she would create more unnecessary problems to an extant that my wife had panic attacks after a few meetings we had with her. 2 month before our wedding she caused so much anxiety and frustration that we decided to end our contract with her and find another planner. Thankfully, our new planner was amazing and our Wedding planning went very smooth after that, and the event was as wonderful as we could imagine! With way lower cost than what Eliza had proposed! After I requested to cancel the contract she disappeared and never responded to our emails, which is very unprofessional. Here is a list of a few issues from our experience of working with here: 1- Accessibility: every time we had a question or needed to talk to her, it was taking several days until she gets back to us. With irrelevant excuses, like she would show me her busy google calendar! 2- Push to use her own services as vendors: Per her contract she had to suggest different vendors so we can choose. But since she has rental and flower services, she was arguing so much to stop us from even looking at other options! She charges unnecessarily expensive! By doing a little research, we found our vendors and saved at least 50% with same or better quality! 3- Nonsense arguments and rude attitude: In many occasions she was just insisting on holding the event the way SHE wants, without paying attention to our request or desire. Every time we requested something, her answer was: "I don't want MY event to be that way or I don't want MY guests to be that way"!!! With a condescending attitude emphasizing that "I have 18 yrs of experience and I know what to do"!!! Any simple request would become a long story and unnecessary argument. In one occasion my wife requested that guests throw flower petals while walking out of aisle, and she immediately said: "No!, you can't do that, I don't want my cleaning crew spend time on cleaning the petals"!!!! In another occasion Eliza was insisting on only using her recommended valet service (which was quoting more than double the price of the service we eventually used) and on top of it she was forcing us to rent extra parking lot out of venue and pay extra for shuttle service!!!! While the venue had enough capacity! And when I respectfully said: I am confident that the venue has enough capacity for parking, she got very angry and said: "in that case tell all your guests to use UBER and they can't drive their own car"!!! It was a nightmare working with BEL Events and I don't recommend her service due to lack of professionalism and decency in her business.

I'm just wondering what Oceanside parks (not on sand) you are allowed to host on assuming 8-10 people. PC: I apologize I am not familiar with the city of Oceanside. I think just googling the parks would be your best bet for finding a location Me: Oops sorry I mean ocean side - meaning anywhere in San Diego. Any park that's near an ocean. PC: The only one I am familiar with is South Embarcadero Park Me: Ok so I guess then my question is do you have suggested locations? Or do I research and propose that? Where are you typically hosting picnics I mean? It seems there's a lot of rules so I can't figure out what is and isn't allowed. PC: I think you have to pick a place and then call about that specific place is how it works. Me: Ok no thanks looking to pay someone to do that legwork for me. Thanks. PC: Happy to do that for you. We offer location scouting which we charge $499 for this I was surprised at the price to provide me a list of allowable locations. So I pinged another company to see if they had a list of sites. I got a reply in 5 min with a list of locations that only the county allows. It's a very short list and easily posted online by county. Picnic collective charging you $500 to send this list is a scam and also you should seriously second guess they don't know or supply this to you with your inquiry. When I brought this to PC attention, instead of acknowledging the feedback - they proceeded to engage in a combative back and forth with me. I wonder how many suckers they've gotten for this $500. They're other untrustworthy & ripping people off or unknowledgable. The pure fact they wanted to argue with me on this simple issue was also indicative of what might have happened running a large event with them in recognizing a mistake. Be very careful committing thousands of dollars to an event with them and the county kicking your event out.

Unfortunately, the performance did not meet those expectations at all. The elf did not initiate any activities and appeared disengaged the entire time. I had to constantly prompt her to interact with the children. Several kids were upset, and multiple guests commented that she was not doing her job. At one point, she was standing in one spot chewing gum, which felt extremely unprofessional. Three of my guests even offered to write reviews on my behalf because they felt so bad about the situation. Instead of enjoying my party and hosting my adult guests, I ended up managing the entertainer myself and playing with the kids to keep them engaged--completely defeating the purpose of hiring entertainment. I contacted the company immediately after the party. The party coordinator responded promptly and confirmed that the elf claimed the children "weren't interested," which is why she didn't engage. I was told the owner would contact me to resolve the issue, but I never heard from him. I would give this service zero stars if I could. I am giving one star only because the coordinator was professional and responsive, which is the sole reason I booked this company. Unfortunately, the actual service was a major disappointment.

To start, she provided great organizational resources that immediately made everything feel like it was manageable, with her detailed checklist really being the backbone of this entire process for us. We really looked forward to our check-ins with her because not only were they productive, but always a collaborative effort between us and her. She always made us feel heard, and when we had an idea, nothing ever seemed impossible to execute, as she helped us figure out how to make things we wanted happen. We opted for her services about a year out from our wedding day, and through every step, check point, and to-do list item, she walked us through anything we needed and always delivered when we needed her and even above and beyond. In addition to how supportive she was throughout the planning process, she also coordinated our whole wedding day flawlessly. She thinks of how things are going to be executed seamlessly and does the work of problem solving with you beforehand so that the day goes as smoothly as possible, and that it did for us. She's extremely professional and also did wonderfully at communicating with our vendors to ensure we were all on the same page.
