My friends and I came here because we wanted to do a little creative activity together and this place was so fun. It's ~$55 per person for candle making. We made the reservation earlier in the day and they start right on time. We came in, chose a vessel for our candle (you have options to choose from, I went with a chrome vessel!). We were seated with another group and our instructor was amazing. Once we were sat, we got to choose 4(??) scents that we liked and then she put them altogether and changed the scents as needed for us. Then we chose colors for the candle and if we wanted to add glitter. At the end, we got to choose if we wanted to add any toppings to the candle and we were able to pick up the candles later that day. It was a fun experience, I do wish it was a bit more immersive but overall a great experience that im sure my friends and I will do again.

Cool place located in Tustin for personalized candle making. They have rates for single group sessions. Upon entering this store, you get a whiff of fresh fragrances either floral or fresh and it's hard to pick what you want. I ended up taking their recommendation and picked a light scented fragrance oil to put with my candle. I loved the overall blending process and how my personal scent palette was. Quite interesting!!! I thought I was always choosing floral based but ended up with a citrus base. Loved how they use the same Corning Pyrex beaker and magnetic stirrer that I used in college labs. They even have a loyalty program that you can join. Book ahead and you are guaranteed a spot!

Had such a fun experience here with my friend! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming, creative, and full of charm. The two lovely ladies who helped us were so kind and knowledgeable. I wanted a light, earthy floral scent and they guided me perfectly. What made it even more fun was how hands-on and creative the process was -- not only do you get to blend your own fragrance, but you also get to choose the color and even add special toppings for the final touch. It felt personal and special, like making a little piece of art I could take home. Such a great spot for a date, a girls' day, or even a thoughtful gift-making experience. I'll definitely be back!

We hosted my husband's big birthday celebration at Thee Candle Lab, and while there were a few hiccups in communication at first, I really appreciate that we were able to talk things out. After connecting directly, everything made a lot more sense and any misunderstandings were cleared up. The actual event was super fun. Our guests had a great time making candles and perfumes, and the staff on-site were helpful and kind. The space is really cute and perfect for a cozy group activity. We brought some light decor and food, and everything came together for a sweet and memorable experience. Thank you again to Thee Candle Lab for taking the time to chat and for making sure things ended on a good note. We're happy with how it all turned out and truly appreciate the effort to make things right.

This was a team building event and there were seven of us in total. You first choose the vessel that you want your candle to be in. Second, sit and smell around 30 scents to narrow down to your favorite four. Third, choose your candle color and toppings. You do have to wait 45 minutes for your candle to dry or you can come back at another time to pick up. Addie was helping our group with the scent ratios and colors. They have a Photo Booth in the back that you can take pictures and SMS them to your phone. This was a fun group activity and would definitely recommend giving it a try.

The concept of Thee Candle Lab is both unique and sweet. I booked a workshop for a group of 4 pre-teens for a celebratory birthday activity. The online process to register was easy, and accessible. I was pleasantly surprised at the extensive availability for a Saturday afternoon. On site, the lab had a vast array of product selections for personalized fragrance and candle creations. We opted for the fragrance workshop, which allowed guests to layer two notes atop a base to make for a customized scent to take home. The bottles to select at the beginning of the activity were both visually appealing and fair in size. The experience was immersive and fun. Naming the scent as a final step in the process made for a really nice touch. In my head, I also thought that custom fragrance making would serve as even more memorable for our guests in comparison to other pre-teen birthday activities, which was a plus for me, as the host. Located in the heart of The District in Tustin, there are also several dining and shopping options to keep the party going afterwards. My only complaint is the customer service at this location. My group and I sensed the employee's marked unenthusiasm to assist us. She was very much interested in helping out a high maintenance walk-in guest who had a ton of questions about hosting a birthday party for her small child, which was perplexing to me. It was disappointing that we had pre-paid reservations (which aren't cheap by the way) yet this employee had no desire to acknowledge us when we arrived and was curt and disengaged during our time with her. Getting her attention was also an immense challenge. I guess I didn't fit her profile of a big spender. Her treatment killed the vibe for us. I will have to perhaps wear a Goyard tote next time and see what happens. My group mentioned this employee's behavior as much as their experience at the store so as party host, that made me feel that my money wasn't well spent. I wish my guests had left the experience on a more positive "note."

Love! What a great experience. The workers made the experience. The main lady was so knowledgeable and helpful. We made perfumes and they helped us with making sure we got the scent we wanted!!! Last night I was invited to a private Galantine's event with some vendors in the property management profession to go come here and make our own candles! Not only is this the cutest and most creative idea to host an event, but it ended up being such an awesome experience! The price to make your own candle is $55 (with upgrades depending on the vessel you want to use) and they even offer perfume making for $75! We only did candles last night. This is a family run business that have other locations in Compton and Garden Grove; we went to the location in Tustin the The District. After spending time smelling numerous amounts of lovely (and not so lovely) scents, you get to choose up to 3 scents to add to your candle. The staff was super knowledgeable and experts in guiding which scents go well together and the difference between fruity notes versus earthy, etc. Then once you choose your scents, you go over and they guide you in filling up your own small glass of the highly concentrated fragrances from the beakers and you really do feel like a scientist! I went with Birthday Cake (strong vanilla notes), Palo Santa (woodsy/citrus), and Pear/Pomegranate. HEAR ME OUT, to each their own but I LOVE my scent! After combining all the fragrances and you pour your concoction into the melted wax and watch it mix to combine. After, they add your wick to the bottom of your vessel and then you pour the wax mixture into your jar while straightening our your wick with a popsicle stick. I choose an iridescent vessel and also choose to add iridescent shimmer in my wax (which she said you will only be able to see when the candle is melting!) and topped it off with a few iridescent beads for a little bit of pretty! They take your candle and place it in what looks like a flash freezer to solidify, which took about 20-25 minutes. They also have a service that cost $35 that you can come back with your same vessel and do a refill once your candle has completely finished, which is what me and some of my coworkers plan on doing (even though they only offer that service on Sundays and Wednesdays). I cannot wait to come back in the future and even try out their perfume making! Thank you Thee Candle Lab staff for being so accommodating and amazing last night!

What a fun lil activity to do with family or friends. Came here for a bday lil shindig. Surprise how big the space was. They can definitely accommodate big groups. Came on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm and surprisingly it was just our group. Perhaps it's a more personable approach for the staff to assist each person. LOVED IT! We were planning our next trip before we even finished our candles! Hope and Maria were absolute delights! They were nice, funny, and gave us lots of advice/tips/etc. You can tell they were having just as much fun as we were, which always makes any experience that much better! We knew it would be fun, who doesn't love candles, but once we got there, we realized it was even gonna be better than we thought. We made reservations, but they also took walk ins while we were there. For the $55 pre-paid experience, you can pick one of their adorable candle "vessels" or upgrade for $10 more to one of their amazing alcohol bottles. All 4 of us couldn't resist how cute the bottles were... they had all sorts of brands, colors, etc. You can pay more to add more wax to your candle if you pick a bigger bottle, but none of us did and we still loved the outcome! You get to pick your scents, color, glitters, toppers, and even pick between a wax and a wood wick. I cannot emphasize how much we all loved this experience!! Amy was amazing! She was so patient with me and accommodating. There are many scents to choose from and she walked me through the combo that worked for me. My candle smells divine and is so pretty! It makes my day just to light it! You choose a vessel for your candle, a few scents to combine, the color of the wax, and some toppings for fun. If you like candles, this is a fun solo activity, friend/family outing, or a date activity. After you make your selections, you have about an hour before your candle is ready to take home and there are plenty of restaurants and establishments to enjoy while you wait. I would absolutely recommend this location and I hope to come back for my refill. The quality of the candle and overall experience were definitely worth it! read more

They have a new location at steel grove in garden grove- fantastic experience! Highly recommended and both your guests to your house will thank you and your noses. They have scents based upon the periodic table instead of the regular names such as lavender or vanilla. Definitely made picking up smells more fun and not as boring. Was a disappointing experience. I have gone to the Garden Grove shop and had a great time and felt part of the process, yesterday I went to the Tustin location and they did not have the vessel I was expecting and they rushed us through it. Seemed they were in a hurry and didn't allow us to really enjoy the process. In fact my friend's candle is a mess and when we went back they were re-pouring it. I will not return and cannot suggest the shop in Tustin. In fact the candles we made will end up being thrown away because they turned out soooo poorly. They should have refunded the money for my friend or had her make another one as bad as it turned out. It is terrible. total waste of $$$ The Garden Grove shop is much more interactive and personalized even though it is smaller. read more

Turns out we are better at making candles than driving racing simulators. The candles we made smell awesome and will far outlast those pesky store bought candles. If you're looking for a unique and fun experience, make the reservation! The owner Amy is so nice and will answer any questions you have over the phone. A few of us made a weekend reservation for a friends birthday, and we had SO much fun. The instructor was so patient and knowledgeable. I went for a birthday celebration recently, we had a decent size group there but the ladies taking care of us were so sweet and helpful. Making our candles was so much fun! Lots of variety in there scents and candle jars to choose from. Each of my friend's candles were so personalized and came out smelling great. I chose beautiful vanilla scents to place in my dining room. The ladies helping us with our candles did such a great job of walking us through the process and were so patient with us since we had so many questions . We had a great experience! I was gifted this workshop and came in with no expectations. From the second we walked in to the moment we went home with our fresh candles, everyone was attentive and so helpful. We were assisted every step of the way. It's definitely "go at your own pace" but the second you finish with a step, one of their lovely associates were there to help you move on to the next step. This made it feel like it flowed well and not rushed at all. They were all very knowledgeable and help my mom and I create great candles! It's a fun project that takes up about 2 hours (including the 45 minute wait for your candle to harden). We will definitely be back! read more

I can't say enough amazing things about this workshop - my friends and I planned a galentine's get together here and we had an absolute blast! We loved how our candles came out and it was so fun to be able to mix and create our own personalized scents. Jamie and Maria were pros and did an incredible job at walking us through the entire process, they had such great energy and made the whole experience feel so light and relaxing. My friends and I had such a fun time at Thee Candle Lab! Cass was our candle expert and made the whole experience SO much fun! The whole place was a great vibe - loved the chemistry schtick, the options for scents were all great, the process was easy yet very immersive, and ended up with a lovely and cozy smelling candle. Cass did a great job explaining the whole process, helped us choose scents that would go well together, and made the whole time all the more fun. I came here twice on different days within a month because it was such a fun experience to do with my bf and friends! I had Hope help us my first time and Cass my second time. I absolutely love this candle shop. I will never shop anywhere else for my candles, car, air fresheners or perfume ever again they have a monthly candle membership that you can bring your old glasses back and get refilled for a discount. The staff was so welcoming and kind, and I will be referring everyone to go here . we had so much fun with this experience, This place is absolutely the best spot for all of candle making and car air freshener and perfumes definitely recommend 10/10. read more

Horrible experience, stay away!…read more This is a review for Eliza at BEL Events for her wedding planning services. We met Eliza at our venue 8 month before our wedding date. During the first session she presented herself well, and she talked and bragged a lot about her 18 yrs of experience in event planning and stories about how she handles wedding situations. So, we thought she is the right event planner for us and signed a contract. After signing the contract and making the payment, she was very hard to find and we did not see the expected action from her side, and every time we followed up, her response was: "don't worry I will manage everything before the wedding day". We were asking for the basics of planning such as timeline, vendor recommendations (a few to choose from) and communications (which was part of the contract) but not no action except a quote of her own rental service. We were getting closer to the wedding date and her lack of action made us so worried and very frustrated. Eventually we had to get involved and did almost 90% of the work ourselves. She was very hard to find but even when we could talk to her, she would create more unnecessary problems to an extant that my wife had panic attacks after a few meetings we had with her. 2 month before our wedding she caused so much anxiety and frustration that we decided to end our contract with her and find another planner. Thankfully, our new planner was amazing and our Wedding planning went very smooth after that, and the event was as wonderful as we could imagine! With way lower cost than what Eliza had proposed! After I requested to cancel the contract she disappeared and never responded to our emails, which is very unprofessional. Here is a list of a few issues from our experience of working with here: 1- Accessibility: every time we had a question or needed to talk to her, it was taking several days until she gets back to us. With irrelevant excuses, like she would show me her busy google calendar! 2- Push to use her own services as vendors: Per her contract she had to suggest different vendors so we can choose. But since she has rental and flower services, she was arguing so much to stop us from even looking at other options! She charges unnecessarily expensive! By doing a little research, we found our vendors and saved at least 50% with same or better quality! 3- Nonsense arguments and rude attitude: In many occasions she was just insisting on holding the event the way SHE wants, without paying attention to our request or desire. Every time we requested something, her answer was: "I don't want MY event to be that way or I don't want MY guests to be that way"!!! With a condescending attitude emphasizing that "I have 18 yrs of experience and I know what to do"!!! Any simple request would become a long story and unnecessary argument. In one occasion my wife requested that guests throw flower petals while walking out of aisle, and she immediately said: "No!, you can't do that, I don't want my cleaning crew spend time on cleaning the petals"!!!! In another occasion Eliza was insisting on only using her recommended valet service (which was quoting more than double the price of the service we eventually used) and on top of it she was forcing us to rent extra parking lot out of venue and pay extra for shuttle service!!!! While the venue had enough capacity! And when I respectfully said: I am confident that the venue has enough capacity for parking, she got very angry and said: "in that case tell all your guests to use UBER and they can't drive their own car"!!! It was a nightmare working with BEL Events and I don't recommend her service due to lack of professionalism and decency in her business.

The attendants were slow to replenish the paint and acted like it was an inconvenience, even though they were getting a "mandatory gratuity". They could have been nicer and more friendly. One of the colors they "replenished" was not the same color as we got at the beginning even though we asked for the same color # and the attendant even checked the # to make sure, and one of the kids ending up having two different colors of paint in one section of her ceramic piece that she was really disappointed about. When we asked the attendant how we could fix it, she said she didn't know and literally walked away mid-conversation to help someone else. She clearly did not care about our party once we sat down. My bill was almost $300 and the mandatory gratuity was $49.32 which was absolutely not worth the service we got. I doubt we would come back to your store since we never had this issue at Color Me Mine.

I call the same number as before (949-558-2873 and 3106517226) and no one picks up and not only is the voicemail different now but the voicemail is full on both phone lines so I can't even leave a message! Charlotte finally emails me back Thursday with a very generic confirmation of time and place. I emailed her back a total of 4 times requesting a call so we can go over details and structure of the party like she had promised me back in May. Nothing. Day of the event- THEY NOT ONLY NO SHOW BUT THEY DONT EVEN CALL!!!! I was scrambling to figure out what to do with 15 kids and ended up having to improvise for 2.5 hours. How DARE they do this to kids??? I called their after hours line and of course it goes to the same BS number with the full mailbox so I can't even leave a message. I'm hoping someone will read this and learn from my mistake. I have NO idea how they have this many positive reviews. It's beyond me. They must pay for their reviews. I can't even get a hold of anyone to get a refund so I'm going to have to dispute the claims with my bank unfortunately. My friends and I come here a lot to get our nails done. Unfortunately this last experience here was…read morenot a good one. While the price is affordable, I will not come back due to sanitary issues & incorrect methods they use. We made appts for 12 pm and my nails were not started until 12:45 pm. My nail tech (Michelle) was very nice and she does nails well, however, she used the nail grinder tool to clean my cuticles. My cuticles HURT for hours after my nails were done and weeks after the appt, I still have cut up cuticles and scabbing from the blood (pictures attached). I wish I had known in the moment that this method is not okay; it should have been a cuticle cutter. Once I got to my car and quickly googled that I found: Grinders are made for shaping hard artificial or natural nail surfaces, not living skin. Using a high-speed rotating bit on the delicate cuticle and the nail bed can easily cause painful skin tears, deep friction burns, and severe infections. These aren't correct practices used by this salon; they are taking the easy route to get it done quickly. Would not recommend. I would give them 1 star but Yelp removes those reviews easily so that's why I'm putting 2-stars.

I freaking LOVE this place!! Amy & her staff (esp Hope, Bella & Cass) are SO FUN! Being there and hanging with them is 80% of the fun, but the fact I get to bring home a custom candle of my own making-personalized fragrance, color, wick-my fave is wooden-vessel is a lasting reminder of the fun I've had!! Everybody leaves with a custom fragrance formula and it can be used to make a perfume, candle, linen spray and a lot of other things. The staff is attentive, fun and knowledgeable. She was very kind and knowledgeable. We just made matching bands and I think of pretty difficult but she helped us through every step, and polished and sanded through both of the rings and perfected it for us. You'll never feel like you are lost. It is a lot of hard work though. I see a great value and making your own jewelry that lasts forever. Silver 925 it's so shiny and cute when you polish it! I definitely recommend us workshop to anyone who wants to make a one of kind jewelry.

The shop is located right next to the Hello Kitty cafe. We arrived at our appointment time and checked in. We browsed the store for a little while. There are some premade jewelry for sale as well as a bunch of cute charms to make a necklace or other accessories. We went to the left side wall to choose the stone we wanted to work with. There's a huge variety of different stones in various shapes and sizes. They're all quite thin and small but some are quite expensive so make sure you check the price tag on the back! From there, we were all seated and listened to a short presentation on the company, what we'll be doing, and how the cost works. It can be a little confusing if you're not familiar with the parts/names on the jewelry. If you're trying not to spend over a certain amount, be sure to ask a lot of questions on if something costs extra or not because it most likely will. The girl who helped us was very nice and tried her best to help us but she was helping six of us so she was spread pretty thin. The process allows you to be a part of the jewelry making process as much as possible but you'll mainly doing the simple things like applying a clear balm on the silver-I can't remember the name of it but it looks like petroleum jelly, using a mallet to size the ring, polishing, and using the torch while supervised. I was really happy with how my ring turned out and it was a fun experience but it was a long afternoon since we were in a group and it got quite costly at the end. I'm glad I tried it out, but I'm not sure I'd go back.

(A giveaway posted on their story) They emailed me, misleading as to having been selected for the giveaway. Somehow contacting me was more of a step to be considered for the giveaway rather than actually being selected. ( I would have not bothered to even email anyone at all to ask about details ) They should have stated with the first email that they select who they prefer to pick for the give away. Suggestions : 1. Put a disclaimer / details about your needs for the giveaway. Ex: "We are doing a promotional giveaway! We set up one of our services and enjoy the set up for a gathering of your own! " I came up with that as I was writing this. Simple easy and the point. 2.Work on following back with phone, emails, text messages. Get in the same page of who will manage your communications as a business. Gloria, If you as a business owner cannot handle the communication tasks, hire workers to support you. 3. Be open and respect cultural belief in practices of the misuse of "teepees". I ask for no teepees. Actually asked for less of the service. I regret not being more direct of how you are appropriating a cultural and it's lodge but I didn't because I was hoping you would be culturally respectful. But since you took it to be defensive I'm saying it now. You are appropriating sacred symbolism to northern native folks. If that offends you imagine how it rightfully makes native folks uncomfortable that you offer it as part of your profit making. 5. Like I mentioned in our private messages, Do better at communicating your intentions when doing a giveaway. Lastly, remember you are in stolen native indigenous land. The least you can do is respect when someone isn't comfortable using your props for an event and you trying to spin it around and back out of a giveaway. Just don't do give away a .

It actually rained during our shower, I had rented tents & heaters, and Gloria worked so hard to make it stunning. I cannot recommend them more. I will be using them again for more parties.
