The place was comfortable and it has plenty of seatings. The service was excellent and friendly. Once we walked in, they greeted us and guided us to our seat. The food was so good and pretty good portions. The sashimis were fresh and the ratio between rice and sashimi was just right. I definitely love the set. The side dishes that came with the set were yummy and I love the amount of options.

I was a little nervous coming here for dinner on Saturday as some reviews mentioned they had to wait to get seated even with reservations. Some also mentioned that the food took awhile to get to their table. Thankfully none of those things happened. Service was amazing. They were kind, attentive, and always available when we needed something. The four stars is because I felt their sushi was not the best I've had. They are moreso middle of the pack, compared to the likes of Scratch in Seattle, Takai by Kashiba, etc. it was good but not amazing, melt in your mouth. I wish they offered nigiri omakase. They have the premium sushi set which was 8 piece chef choice and a tuna roll. Takoyaki for $10 only came with 4. I was a little disappointed since I just went to Tanaka Ramen in Kirkland and they gave me almost 8 pieces for $10. Parking is free in the structure. 2 hours max. You can't get back into the parking lot through the door so you'll have to walk though the entrance to get back to your car.

Our waiter was Jimmy and his service was delightful. He introduced us to several new items and was attentive but not hovering! The sushi, and sashimi was excellent! So fresh! It will be our "go to" for sushi!

Great place to get sushi in Bellevue, only waited a couple minutes on a Saturday evening. Service was OK, they have a large menu, portion size was small, their scallops and the volcano lobster roll are my favorite. The quality is much better at other places like japonesa, Momiji, etc.

A big group of my friends and I came to celebrate a couple of birthdays, and this restaurant really made the night special! When we made our reservation, we marked that it was a birthday celebration, and they went all out by setting up real rose petals and a handwritten card on our table. They even included a complimentary dessert for each of the birthday boys, which was such a thoughtful gift. We specifically chose this spot because we were intrigued by the happy hour menu. I ordered the Las Vegas and Bad Boy rolls, and both were excellent with good portions given the price. Everyone else in our group ordered various items from the happy hour and cocktail menus and had nothing but good things to say. Beyond the special birthday touches, the service was truly great. The staff was incredibly patient with our large group and made sure everything ran smoothly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and the perfect place for a celebration!

We visited TheKoi in Bellevue for the first time a couple weeks ago to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary. We had previously visited their Tacoma location when we were in the area. Their Bellevue location was nice and street parking wasn't too difficult. We got a 12oz of the Gekkeikan Horin Junmai Daiginjo which was quite tasty and the presentation was nice. We also got chicken karaage which was hot and crispy. The ikura, scallop, and uni don was delicious and very beautifully presented. We also got the sashimi box which was presented nicely. I can't remember the name of the roll that we got - maybe Godzilla Roll - it was also yummy. They also gave us some matcha cheesecake for our celebrations.

To preface, I came for SRW once with my family for lunch and another time with my partner for dinner. 1 thing I really hated about the SRW week menu is that the lunch menu was only available during weekdays but that wasn't specified at all! We came to the restaurant expecting to order from the lunch menu, but were disappointed to see we'd have to order from the dinner menu which was pricier than expected for a lunch. Regardless, the food was end which is why I came back with my partner. Sushi quality is great and the presentation made everything feel very special. I'm not sure if I'd come back outside of SRW, but I did think the poke tacos were very delicious and are worth a try!

Came to THEeKOi for dinner randomly one day and didn't realize it was restaurant week. Lucky surprise. Restaurant week consists of a starter, main, and dessert My brother and I opted to split both the Rainer box and sashimi box on the higher price restaurant week menu and my cousin had a roll and wagyu sliders. The Rainer box and sashimi box were decent. Fish was fresh and tasted great. It also came with miso soup not pictured. I enjoyed the green tea tiramisu at the end. For $50 restaurant week menu, I think it was pretty good. It's a decent amount of food for the money

We came here on Thursday for lunch and it was packed. (Maybe because it was restaurant week?) Two of us ordered the SRW special and one order a bento set. They provide generous portion. The chirashi I had was excellent, the fish was fresh and there were different kinds of variety. My friend had the short rib bento and he raved it as well. I loved their green tea tiramisu. The green tea cheesecake was also yummy, it's the standard cheesecake not the softer Japanese kind. The service was slower and they apologized for it and comp us with an extra dessert which was nice. I would definitely be back for dinner or lunch after the SRW.

What a lovely place to enjoy a sushi meal!! The ambience was elegant but relaxing. The service was phenomenal! Friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. There were some hiccups during the meal, but they made up for it in their service. The sushi was delicious...we got the Volcano Lobster Roll which was a presentation in itself. The fire was a real head-turner. Fun to watch and also eat! The sushi itself tasted fresh. Although the Beef Tongue was tough in texture, flavors were still there. I've never had an Uni Shooter and OMG was that ever so delicious and smooth!! I would definitely come back again to try more of their stuff!

Came here for lunch on my last full day in Bellevue, mainly because it was within walking distance of our daughter's condo AND because it is part of the Resy network, allowing us to use our monthly AMEX credit. My daughter had not been here before, so I kept my expectations low. For a weekday lunch, the experience blew my expectations out of the water. THeKoi has two locations: the original (2011 opening) in Tacoma, and this Bellevue location (2024 opening). They have a good website, so I already had a good idea of what I was going to get. My daughter agreed to get a different lunch meal, and we ended up sampling a bit of everything. Lunch Bento ($25) - a lot bigger than expected, coming with vegetable tempura, shrimp tempura, salad, California rolls, white rice, and miso soup + choice of 2 items: beef short ribs (+$2.50 additional) and nigiri (+$2.50 additional). The tempura was first rate: very light panko coating, expertly deep fried, hardly greasy at all...very, very good. The rolls were very large and thick with krab filling, expertly made. The nigiri were four big, generous pieces, expertly scored with decent fish quality (typical choices of salmon, yellowtail, and tuna). The kalbi was one large LA-style piece of short rib, and I really liked the marinade used, though the meat quality was average. Black Cod Lunch Gozen Set ($32) - combination of tempura, grilled black cod, sashimi, udon, and salad. Unexpected were 5 banchans, including some of my favorite (bean sprouts, marinated fish cakes, sweet potato, and cut up honeydew). The udon was a single bowl of decent udon noodles, big enough to be a light lunch on its own. The tempura had two pieces of shrimp, a piece of squid, and some vegetables...all of it as light and delicate as the bento (whoever is doing tempura here is skilled). The sashimi was generous, with thick large pieces of fish including a white fish I couldn't identify. But the star of the show was the black cod, a bigger piece than I expected for lunch and at that price point. It was delicate, well seasoned, and expertly cooked. My daughter ate most of it, which made me happy: her palate has definitely become more choosy since moving to the Seattle area, and she ate this up. Both meals came with a good miso soup, which wasn't mentioned in the menu. Pretty sure with some of the dishes and the tastiness of the kalbi marinade, that the owner or chef is Korean, just for the quality of the banchan alone. It wasn't very busy when we came, and there were two servers eager not to be bored...so service was very attentive. The food was delivered as soon as ready, which made a huge difference in the quality of the dining experience. Everything (quality, value, taste) was just great. The amount of food given was very generous: the ownership didn't need to go that far since the expectations for food in this area can be spotty when it comes to value. A place like this showing such respect to its customers sense of value, deserves to be highly frequented. Highly recommended for lunch as long as the set lunch menu continues to be available during weekdays.

This is a review specifically for Seattle Restaurant Week. My husband and I came here for the lunch special since it's such a good deal: appetizer, main (we got chirashi & bento box), and a dessert for $25. What a steal! Normally their bentos are over $30, and it's the same bento that you would normally get on the menu. Everything was amazing. Service was a little slow given the fact that they were not super busy, but I think the food definitely made up for it. For bento you get two choices of mains: chicken, tofu; salmon teriyaki. I ordered two salmon teriyaki with sauce on the side. I also like their salad dressing which tastes homemade. The green tea Tirimisu was also delicious. But on the sweet side. For price point, quality, and ambiance... great job Thekoi! Wish this three course set could be a regular menu item! I'd come here more often for sure!

I understand how hard it is to accommodate a huge crowd with the noise along with getting to all of the customers having worked in restaurants in my past. So thanks to our server, we did pay up before the game was done making it easy to leave at the end. I'd go back to the Pumphouse again because of nostalgia and ease! The menu shows off many colorful fruit flavored carbonated beverages all of which sound delicious. Sometimes its really good and addicting. Other times ive been, ive gotten a few drinks that were flat and very bland flavor as if they skipped adding some of the listed flavors. I dont fully understand why. The concept is simple, they use soda and add a scoop of fruit pulp, a pump or so of syrup, and a sprinkle of dried fruit bits. I could be wrong, but I feel like i noticed they use large bottle of the carbonated drink to pour many drinks, but they go flat over time. Which means some people will get flat drinks. On my last visit i ordered several drinks. One was bland and flat.I tried to get them to remake my flat drink, but they warned me it would still be flat. I insisted as my other drinks we had taste better having more carbonated spark and sweet juicy flavors. They remade it using the same bottle of soda and it was just as flat and bland the second time so I just tossed the drink and sipped on my families drinks that tasted amazing. Idk if i would recommend this location as it seems to be so hit or miss. Maybe just make sure they use fresh soda and also that they give you all the mentioned flavors. Hey, maybe on my last visit they just ran out of flavor and fresh soda and didnt want to tell me. When they make it right, its absolutely worth a try.

Nine enticing creations make up their menu, all of them being fruity and vibrant in color. Ordering is very simple on the kiosk as you just select your drink and also choose an Adaptogen, which is their version of a health "boost". A few of the Adaptogens are free of cost (I selected the immunity one), but other more premium options will cost a dollar or two extra. According to the staff member, most of the Adaptogens are flavorless. All drinks are $7 each and only come in one size. I've visited on two different occasions and both times, my seltzer was ready in just a couple minutes. + PINEAPPLE BREEZE: A refreshing combination of pineapple purée, passion fruit purée, freeze-dried passion fruit and a thin slice of dried pineapple. Both fruity flavors were balanced; I could taste the bright pineapple and the juicy tropical passion fruit. The seltzer was crisp and perfect to enjoy in the Seattle sun. The freeze-dried passion fruit dissolved over time, strengthening the intensity of its flavor with each sip. + RUBY REFRESHER: This drink included cherry purée in addition to lychee. The menu stated that it also includes coconut, but the employee who helped us said that they have never added coconut to the drink, so I'd suggest that they update the description. Additionally, she said that they were out of the actual lychee fruit which would have otherwise been placed on top, so she substituted with some freeze-dried strawberries. This said, the drink strayed from what was displayed on the menu, but it was still good. The cherry flavor tasted very natural and the lychee flavoring brought a juicy sweetness. With this being located within the Lincoln Food Hall, these seltzers are somewhat of a splurge, but are the perfect addition to round out any meal.

This was while the place was practically empty, so I'm not sure what else could have been occupying their time. Second, I ordered the pork shoulder stir fry which wasn't bad but had several large pieces of pure fat & gristle in it that I felt a high quality restaurant would have taken out of the dish. It's indicative of lazy & careless food preparation skills. Also, the basmati rice was very under-cooked...some pieces were even crunchy. Lastly, after leaving the place, I realized that I accidentally left my sunglasses there. So I called later that evening to inquire if they had found them. I discovered they route all incoming calls to a bot that instantly made me feel unimportant and unappreciated. What's worse is it tried to connect me with someone in the restaurant, but kept looping back into its own messaging narrative. What an absolute PITA. This enables me to make a broader point: Restaurants have to get it through their heads that cutting costs has negative impact on customer experience, putting the lifeblood of their business into jeopardy. Take the widespread adoption of QR code-based menus during COVID...how many restaurants do you know actually switched back to real menus after COVID passed? The answer is very few. The reason why? They are too stingy to pony up the dough and ignore the benefit to the customer experience. They figure, 'people already know how to do that so why spend the money on printing up menus anymore?". They couldn't care less about what customers might actually enjoy more, and that's the real travesty. If restaurants are going to force their customers into a self-serve model (as so many have nowadays), then why bother tipping anyone? I am so fed up of a world where the idolatry of wealth has surpassed the appreciation and value of real, engaging human experiences. The Central Bar + Restaurant could help reverse this course if they ever decide to they put customer experience first instead of their own profits. UPDATE: Added one star because they actually had my shades...went ot go pick them up today.
