This is my favorite place in town. They have the highest quality coffee, as well as space, and service! The baristas are all knowledgeable, yet also kind. They have a fun and peaceful environment. It's my go to place to get stuff done. Yes, they are only open a select few hours- but it's worth the weekend trips. They roast their coffee themselves and are in relationship with the farmers themselves. Don't miss the opportunity to try this place out! I tried their Cappuccino and was really good. I don't remember the exact name of the bean used, but I think it was Tres something from South America. While visiting a friend in Redding we made our way to Theory Collaborative, I've actually been following this shop on Instagram for awhile and love everything I've seen. I was a bit bummed to find they were renovating and so were in a temporary location, this however didn't change the friendliness of employees and quality of coffee. I ordered the Ginger beer+espresso specialty drink and was really surprised by this, it was very good and like the barista said was a good "refreshing drink" . My Favourite Coffee Shop in All of Redding! Absolutely love the Pour over, I come here multiple times a week for it! Superb customer service, love the people who work there at the Front of house, as well as the servers who work in the kitchen to bring you the Food! My wife and I were driving through from the Bay Area to Northern California/Oregon. As a coffee snob from Oakland, this was a haven to get a great cup of drip coffee in Redding. Most places (not just Redding) brew coffee beforehand and let it sit, TC brews every few minutes or so. The taste was yummy, rich and satisfying as they used high quality beans and brewed it correctly. We recommend them highly. read more

Best coffee in town by far. FREE WIFI. Extremely polite baristas make you feel very comfortable being there. Very modern and clean with all new furniture making it comfortable to bring your computer and get some work done. Makes getting coffee feel like a fun experience rather just an in and out affair. However if you were in a rush they make drinks extremely fast. Last time I went there was no line and it took them 3 minutes to make me two drinks. That's not and exaggeration it's like I blinked and there my drinks were. In conclusion this is a MUST GO TO coffee shop for locals and visitors a like. read more

Just moved to the area from Kansas City, where the coffee scene is thriving. I'm on the hunt for my regular go to coffee shop in Redding, and Theory is on my radar as an option. I pay for the coffee as much as the atmosphere to work/write/design. So far, my impression of Theory is that they know what they are doing and have taken the time to perfect what they are aiming for. I look forward to getting familiar with their coffee, roasting, regions and varieties. I have only had exceptional experiences at Theory, but have only been a few times. My one complaint is that there are no outlets with low seating tables/chairs, only high tables and bar chairs have access to outlets. Sitting high doesn't harmonize with my health issues, and this is the only reason why I can't claim Theory as my go to shop. Coffee and service is exceptional, add low seating next to an outlet, I would have no reason to go elsewhere. read more
