I came in with acrylics and told him I didn't like the bulkiness of my past nails & he educated me on the differences between that, gel x and builder gel. I came in wanting gel x but came out with builder gel with tips added. I didn't even know you could add tips to builder gel. He knew I wanted a natural looking nail, no bulk, and he delivered! This salon offered more muted colors than any other salons I've gone to recently. I was looking for a muted pink on the warm side and I'm soooo sooo happy with the color of my nails. I search for the last three months who I can trust my hair with and finally I picked Curls by Alyssa. I went in with a cut that suited me for a couple of months but at the end lost it's shape and curls were a little worn down. I decided I need and wanted a chop and off I went to visit Alyssa for the first time. curls by Alyssa offers a curly cut & wash & go. I've had a dry curly cut before but never a wash and go. At the moment I went in I was greeted with warm smiles and happy hellos by the girls. I was later greeted by Alyssa as she was finishing up her previous client. She sat me down and heard my thoughts on what I wanted. She was warm, kind, encouraging , and ready to get life back to my hair. She gave me some good suggestions and was happy to say yes to a good chop. She suggested rounded layers and I said Yes! Please! She washed my hair , provided a treatment, sat be down the hair dryer before starting with the cut. Once she started cutting away you can see life coming back to my hair. Then she proceeded with the wash & go part of it while at the same time explaining every step and even showing me how to do it myself. She took her time and you can truly see in her face and in her work how much she does doing this. I listened to her and at the end she made me a huge believer. Not that I never trusted her but a believer in the wash & go method. My curls were alive, shiny , and bouncy. I felt brand spanking new and a little sense of freedom with my big chop. She made her recommendations before leaving and I let her know I will definitely be going back. Can't recommend Curls by Alyssa enough and hopefully the before and after says it all.
