Last Christmas, wifey was gifted a cozy pair of slippers & pajamas via Eberjey, from my stepmom who is a frequent customer. And ever since, we're both are fans of this store by the sea. We make it a point to stop by when in the area...and this most recent visit, I couldn't help but notice the sweet yet subtle aroma that filled the air upon arrival. I'm very sensitive to most scents...but as soon as I noticed this one passed the test, I had to investigate which candle it was. I love candles, and since I cook lots of fish at home, I've learned that the perfect (safe and toxic/chemical-free candle) works like a charm, as the perfect home deodorizer. Fern + Moss makes wonderful candles. The one I gravitated towards is lavender & sage. At $42 it might seem step, but you get what you pay for...and these high-end soy candles, cannot be compared to all the cheap chemical/toxic laden candles sold elsewhere for half the price. It's a double wick and burns for up to 72 hours. Trish McEvoy makes my favorite candle -- Wild Blueberry & Vanilla. It's soft yet fruity...but at $64 a pop for the same size as this Fern + Moss discovery, wifey & I agreed it's worth a try. For starters, I'm a pretty reserved person, so I wasn't totally comfortable with how one of the employees(Natlie I believe was her name)approached recommendations--it felt a bit too personal/vulgar for me... I also noticed a few dead roaches on the floor during my visit, which was concerning.. That said, Monica was great. When I asked her for help, she gave thoughtful recommendations, kept things professional, and made me feel much more at ease.
