Happy hour menu is good. Not many vegan options. I ordered a spicy margarita but it wasn't spicy. Definitely a bit of a wait to order and get food but the server was nice! It was nice seeing in the patio too.

We went for Sunday brunch as a family of four, checked out the menu beforehand and there was something for everyone. My 11 year old son said he wanted breakfast tacos- they had them! My six year old daughter wanted Mac and cheese . Husband wanted mimosas and I wanted a poke bowl . Our server was Colleen and she was fantastic, very welcoming and sweet to our kids. She checked on us many times, even though it was busy. Highly recommend the poke bowl and the $28 bottle of Prosecco with your choice of fresh squeezed juice.

This is a great option near Washington square mall! Parking is easy and the menu is versatile. A really great place to watch a game in a fun atmosphere. The menu has a lot of appetizers and a solid drink menu. Only a few burger and pizza options. Prices are on the higher side. Service was attentive and friendly for the most part. Our only challenge was having to wait for a table on a Sunday night, but that wasn't the staff teams fault Clean bathrooms, kind staff and amazing drink options! Be sure to check it out.

We received prompt service and both the food and cocktails were excellent. Patio is nice in good weather.

First-time to this Beaverton outpost of the Thirsty Lion. I went to meet up with friends for Brunch. Their brunch menu is not necessarily big but does have just a little bit of everything for people from the traditional eggs, bacon and toast, which is what I had, to chilaquiles, spicy chicken and waffles, breakfast tacos, spinach omelet and French toast. They also havecl a wide array of breakfast cocktails. I had a traditional scrambled eggs, maple bacon, potatoes and toast. They give a nice big amount of maple bacon! Smothered in maple syrup basically. I had enough for breakfast the next day! Goid to know, the place is family friendly and can get a bit noisy.

My friends and I had not seen each other in weeks we were looking for a local spot to catch up, we stopped by the Thirsty Lion, typically we have a good experience, the staff at the door were very friendly but then the waitress that supported our area was less then friendly. We ordered a few happy hour items and some drinks, things seem to start well but as it got busier our waitress seemed to loose patience and did not come around as much. It's Xmas and the mall is right around the corner, you would think that business would increase there staff and coach there teams around being even more customer friendly. The food was great as well as the drinks but the way we were treated was unprofessional. Thankfully we have many other options in supporting other local companies. The waitress could have kept her commitments to herself if she was overwhelmed, ask for help, don't take it out on your customers.

everyone was wonderful! Steven was our server very nice and professional! - 10/10 would recommend!

Not even on the menu but I just asked

It really is amazing that they have all the ingredients so I simply asked if they could make me a chicken parmigiana and wolla they made an amazing lunch for me!

It's been awhile since I been back here. The place is still as spacious as before with additional coveted outdoor seating available. We came for the early happy hour. The standout items would be the beer battered cheese curds followed by the creamy queso dip. The cheese curds had a good exterior texture and a nice soft texture. The service was good as we were made sure that we had what we needed.

I've been waiting for an establishment like this to show up on the west side for over 20 years. So happy I found Wax social.

If you only hit one craft cocktail bar on your visit to Portland, make it this one…read more Wax Social is a speakeasy and vinyl listening lounge tucked inside a Best Western in the West Hills.. and I mean that in the best way possible. Super moody lighting, hundreds of framed musician photos covering every wall, warm comfortable seating, and a custom hi-fi sound system that will rearrange your expectations for what a speakeasy bar and listening lounge can be. It's a hidden gem in the most literal sense: no signage on the outside and nothing to tip you off as you enter the building. To find Wax Social you walk through the hotel lobby at 9900 SW Canyon Rd, up a staircase left of the registration desk, and look around until you find a frosted glass door marked "Listening Lounge." Open it. You'll be glad you did. Start with the cocktails. The menu is split between elevated timeless classics and original house creations, and both sections of this cocktail menu can bang. The King of Pain is rum-forward and finished with an orange coconut foam that looks as good as it tastes. The Watermelon Man showcases Japanese gin and elderflower in a refreshing and complex profile that's hard not to love. The Sweetest Taboo is a mezcal drink built around blue maize, red bell pepper, pineapple, and lime that hits that rare combination of bold and perfectly balanced. Light My Fire brings blanco tequila and Ancho Reyes together with habanero bitters for real depth. If you want to wander off-menu, they can handle that flawlessly too. Over several visits I've enjoyed a Paper Plane, Tommy's Margarita, Gimlet, Last Word, Too Soon, and others, all executed perfectly. On one visit, the guy next to me at the bar was visiting Portland from Sweden and ordered a Flip. I've been to a lot of craft cocktail bars and never heard someone order one. Clayton, one of the bartenders, didn't blink. Went right to work making a luxurious Flip from memory that the customer couldn't stop raving about. I was impressed. Clayton is also working on several rum-forward cocktails coming to the menu later this summer - I love rum drinks enough to say that sitting at the bar talking shop and the concepts he's tinkering with is worth a visit on its own. Full mocktail lineup, plus wine, bubbles, and craft beers. Now about the sound system. DJs spin all-vinyl sets of funk, soul, R&B, and deep cuts across decades on a custom hi-fi setup that sounds absolutely incredible. Even when the DJ is in full flow and the music is turned up, you can still hold an easy conversation with a group of six or eight people. I've been there with a large group in the back corner on couches and comfortable chairs and everyone kept commenting on it. The music is present and powerful and somehow never swallows the laughter and conversation happening around you. They clearly built this bar around the music. The food is a genuine surprise for a craft cocktail lounge. Think small plates/tapas in terms of dining style: you come for the drinks and next thing you know you've ordered half the menu, made a dinner of it, and somehow backed into a beautiful evening of food, drink, and music. Must-orders: ahi poke nachos, deviled eggs, braised pork gnocchi. Don't overlook the shaved asparagus and white bean salad with sherry vinaigrette, Manchego, and crispy shallots. Simple and elegant and every bit as good as the more indulgent plates. Steak bites and shrimp are worth ordering too. Bring friends so you can order more and share. Owners Sean and Travis are present most nights, greeting you at the door and checking in at your table. That care shows in everything here, including a staff that knows how to read the room. A few things worth knowing: parking is easy, the location is simple to reach from Portland or Beaverton, and the bathrooms are spotless. Open late on weekends. Whether you're planning a romantic date night in Portland, a special occasion, a group night out, or just a solo evening at the bar with someone who really knows cocktails, this is your spot. Among the best craft cocktail and listening lounge experiences in the greater Portland metro area. You've gotta check it out.

Which is great because yes that's plenty late!! We popped in around 6:30pm on 1/3/26. It still looked NYE festive and felt as chill as usual. My kids and I were dying for some nachos and to chill and play a couple of games!! We ordered at the bar and I got a She Spicy (basically a spicy margarita,) and vegan nachos no cheese (I don't need it, but it had salsa and black beans and I added Butternut squash. YUM. Yes please and thank you!!! My daughter got vegan nachos with vegan cheese and added jalapeno. My son got vegan nachos with just beans and vegan cheese. My son got RC cola and my daughter asked for an Italian Soda. The staff is SO caring and kind and I honestly feel like I'm at a friend's house except that I'm being served. We started working on the game and instructions and one of the lovely ladies came over and said that Italian Soda usually has milk in it (I never knew this!!) And she said she noticed we were vegan so would we like it without? I said yes please!! I thought that was SO considerate!! My son doesn't usually eat as well as his sister, and if she has ANY type of Mexican food she eats twice as much, if not more, than he will. So while I ordered her a full nacho, I ordered him a half order. He wanted more so on the second order the other lovely lady suggested salsa (which I encouraged and said yes to,) as they had run out of dairy free cheese. He tried the salsa but in typical fashion, pouted and said NO I didn't want it on all of the nachos. (insert mom sigh and heavy eye roll.) The sweet lady overheard us and said I can remake it if he would prefer that. And he said yes please. And then he said "wow they are so caring and nice here! That was so kind to offer that!"
