Just what you need after a Rum Tasting at Ko Hana. Portions are massive and the food is delicious! We split a mixed plate with brisket and Kalua pig, with a side of rice and beans. Even though we thought this was "too much food" it was so good we couldn't stop eating. Brisket was juicy and tender, the pork was nicely smoked, and the beans were loaded with beef. If you visit Ko Hana for a tour/tasting, you must stop by for some authentic Hawaiian food after.

Brisket and rice. So tender. I forgot to take a photo before I started eating lol I could not wait

We had our schools first farmers market today at Sacred Hearts Academy .i ordered the mix plate with ribs and brisket . My daughter ordered the brisket and rice . It was absolutely delicious. The meat just fell off of the bones of the ribs. The brisket was so tender. I hope they come back when we have our 2nd farmers market in December. We received excellent customer service . The sweet barbecue sauce was delicious. Everything was seasoned so well . We really enjoyed our food tonight .

Will. Drive. for. BBQ. This spot is right in the back of KoHana brewery in Kunia. You can pick up drinks at the brewery and bring them in the back to drink with your meal. Hubs and I shared a 4 choice plate, and it was definitely enough for 2. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone, the brisket was moist the sausage was tasty, and the pulled pork was juicy, but not my favorite. Hubs enjoyed the beans and I thought the cole slaw was original. They have sauces that you can self serve, although I couldn't quite decide which one I preferred more. Tons of seating, and little fly swatting fans to keep critters at bay. There is a house cat that hangs out, and there is also a nice view of the Waianae mountains as well. Ladies (and gentlemen) this is a bring-a-hair-clip or scrunchie kind of joint. Can't be fussing with hair when you are deep in Southern BBQ!

Located behind/in what would be the courtyard KōHana Distillery, this barbecue joint is delectable! We split a mixed plate with Kalua pork and brisket then swapped the cole slaw for beans. It was flavorful, plentiful, and the rice was such a good idea! Having rice under the meat soaked in the juices and brought the plate together. It was also a great way to settle following the rum tour.

This restaurant is located up Kunia next to the rum distillery. Head to the back of the distillery you will find an open restaurant. There are bench seats under the awning. Very open and welcoming. The cashier was very nice and did explain the menu.We were very lucky because we got the last dinosaur bone rib and brisket for the day. Mood: satisfied Will come again? Yes!

Been meaning to try this place and was able to snag a plate from the Thursday Kailua Farmers Market. Short line moved fast and the menu was right there. I grabbed a 3 choice plate with brisket, ribs, and the brisket & beans. Swapped out the cole slaw for extra bread. Staff were super friendly and apologized for a short wait while more meat was sliced. The wait wasn't a problem at all as the food dropped me into a coma less than halfway through the plate. The brisket is thick sliced and falls apart so easily. The ribs were good, but the surprise on the plate was the brisket & beans. I chose that as a gamble and it was the only thing I completely finished during the sitting. This place was awesome. I'll be back for sure.

Combo plate - juicy brisket, trio sausages & smoked meat. So goood!

Add this to your must to eat places! Oh my goodness their Texas style beef brisket is Woooow!!! So packed with flavor, the meat is nicely tenderly soft and I really like the charred end bits with the fat at the end. We had it as a combo plate with the trio sausage and it was good too and let's not forget the Wailupe valley smoked meat which was also soo ONOLICIOUS. My fave is their homegrown greens for the Cole slaw - yummolicious. Let's no forget their sauces, spicy which is so the bomb and bbq too. Go check them out, your craving will be satisfied for sure! Mahalo for the great service from the back and front house! Awesome always.

I discovered This Lil Piggy at Foodie Con and tried their brisket and beans with rice which was tender and I personally don't like beans, but their beans had sweetness to it so it was really good! They're located in Kunia behind Ko Hana Rum Distillery, so walk thru to the back door, turn left. There's outdoor seating available - FYI: there's a lot of flies around cause they smell your food. Here's everything we got... ~ 2 item mixed plate ($18) - Texas Style Beef Brisket (+$8) and Memphis Style Pulled Pork ~ 3 item mixed plate ($23) - Texas Style Beef Brisket (+$8), St. Louis Pork Spare Ribs (+$2), Beans & Brisket (+$1) ~ Beans & Brisket with rice ($14) The mixed plates come with cole slaw from Kunia Country Farms and Hawaiian sweet bread. Food is a bit pricey... the meat wasn't as tender as when I tried it at Foodie Con, but still good and had lots of flavor.

This review is for their Farmers market location at the Neil Blaisdell Center on April 9, 2025. They have a limited menu if ala carte items such as ribs, sausage and pipikaula. Aunty was looking lonely so I chatted with her for a little bit before getting the 3 sausage ala cart plate. Couldn't wait to go home and try it so I sampled a piece of the beef sausage with a take out fork before leaving. The sausage was juicy and full of flavor. Later at home, I tried the spicy pork sausage and it, too, was really good. The third sausage, arabiki like chicken, had a nice peppery taste. Aunty was very kind and packed my mini plate container to the hilt! Now I've got sausage for breakfast, too! Next time I'll try their ribs and pipi kaula. And the next time I'm in Kunia I'm going to sample some of their brisket, too.

This was my friend's plate pork ribs. Plenty for 2.

The food was ONO I had the Texas brisket with rice and coleslaw. The atmosphere is outdoor seating bench style. Downside are the flies Customer service was inviting and ALOHA STYLE. I truly enjoyed this hidden gem

Easy to find... from H1, head up Kunia Rd a couple miles. It will be on the left-hand side after passing the Kunia Golf Course. Plenty of open parking directly in front of Ko Hana Distillery. Walk through KHD to get to Lil Piggy. We arrived at around Noon on a Saturday and we were the only customers there. Wide open, plenty of picnic tables to sit at. Ordering is easy and fast. Had the food in our hand in less than five minutes. We got the Beef Brisket and the St Louis Ribs plate. Excellent...! Very satisfied.

This lil restaurant is located in Kunia Camp away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Pretty hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. Anyways, look for KoHana Distillers. Walk through the distillery to find a doorway all the way in the back. And viola, the eatery is right there. Plenty of picnic tables for seating. By the way, there's plenty of parking outside. It's just that there's no sign for the restaurant. They focus on BBQ. The menu isn't large, but everything I've had has been a winner. The baked beans and brisket was awesome. Served in a bowl of rice topped with beans, brisket, and sweet bbq sauce. This was my favorite. Brisket was tender, flavorful and just delicious. The mix of the beans and rice was really filling. I got a side of brisket as well. It came with rice, a roll, and some coleslaw. This was a good second choice. They offer sweet or spicy bbq sauce. Both were good. It's a drive up to this place but it's well worth it. Popular with tourists going to the distillery or the military from the nearby bases. By the way, there's plenty staff were amazing. Friendly and pretty fast.

#46 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week) I saw someone review this on IG and bookmarked it for a future visit. We didn't want to go far from home for lunch so we decided to finally give this place a try. I will mention before I get into this review that I don't really like BBQ sauce. I like the vinegar versions but not the sweet sauce that a lot of meat has on it when you go to a BBQ joint. Ok enough of that...... We arrived at the rum distillery and parking was not an issue as it wasn't very busy. You walk through the building until you get outside, make a left to go behind the building and you've arrived! The menu is not huge, which I appreciate, so we were able to quickly make a decision. I went with the brisket plate that came served over rice with a roll and some coleslaw. My honey got the rib plate with baked beans & brisket, a roll and coleslaw. We also had to get a side of the smoked sausage trio. We took a seat to wait for our food. They have picnic table set up that are covered which was really nice. It's outdoors and there are flies but they had those battery powered fly fans to keep them away that you could grab and put on your table. Our food didn't take too long and when we picked it up they pulled out some sauces we could try. We tried both, a regular one and a spicy one. I really liked my brisket. It was nice and tender and just the right amount of fat. The coleslaw was good but I don't know if it was homemade. It tasted like the bag salad with dressing you can get at Costco. Sausages were good but again, not homemade. My honey really liked his ribs and he ate more of the bbq sauces than I did and he really liked the sauces. His baked beans and brisket were good too and not too sweet. Portions are generous so we had some to take home and munch on later. If you're in the area be sure to stop by and try it! We'll definitely be back.

Tried this food truck for the first time at the What the Truck in Waikele. They are only at the…read morewaikele event on the first Fridays. We ordered the Cajun garlic butter shrimp and the lemon beurre blanc ahi. Both plates were really tasty! Fresh ahi, and the shrimp was cleaned. Plates came with potato mac salad and rice. The owner was very friendly as well! They sold out of the bao buns early otherwise we would've tried those too. Those looked delicious. We'll definitely be back!

We had Bobby cater our wedding in November and the food was such a hit! We would recommend them…read moreover and over again! Our experience with Bobby started with private a tasting in their lounge of a few of the things we were hoping to have on our menu. We tried two mains, a salad and a few sides... when I say everything was a smash it, i really mean it! Our package included a third main and we honestly told him he could pick what to bring because obviously he knows how to cook- it'd be impossible to choose! For our wedding we had the kalbi shortribs, garlic shrimp, and huli huli chicken for our mains. Our salad was the one with the warm bacon dressing (OMG DELICIOUS), and we also had truffle mashed potatoes, a ratatouille, rice and i think 3 appetizers. It was ALL so good. Our guests have been raving about it since. Not only was the food to die for, but also the service before and during the wedding too! we had a few dietary restrictions to accommodate and Bobby was so easy to work with and already had ideas ready to go. Then there's the wait staff - who brought my husband and I full plates of everything first, before anyone else. So many people say they don't get to eat at their own weddings and they made sure that DIDNT happen to us. I was still so anxious that I didn't clear my plate but everything i DID eat was just as good as the tasting. The staff stayed and helped my coordinator for the rest of the night as well. After dinner they boxed up all the leftover food for us to take home and I was so happy for that! Since I didn't eat a ton at my own wedding I got to house all of the leftovers with our families. The taste, the value, the service... it really can't be beat. We've already decided we'll be tracking down his foodtruck whenever we can!
