    I have mixed feelings about my experience with Bock Orthodontics…read more BACKGROUND Both my partner and I had Invisalign treatment here. He is done with his treatment while I still have a few more months since I started a bit later. I also had a longer treatment period, just given I had more trays and wore my aligners longer to stay on track based on my wear time per day. CONSULTATION The consultation was fantastic. We loved how friendly the staff was - we had chatted with Kim and she has been incredibly helpful from the beginning before we signed on. She also helped with the details of insurance and financing since I had an insurance change in 2025. Dr. Bock is also friendly and I appreciate his sense of humor and expertise. ISSUE This week, I went back for a visit. Transparently, we've been busy and moved out of Orange County, and therefore it has been more difficult to come in on a weekday. Greeted by the friendly staff and Jessica was awesome. This was my first time chatting with her on the chair and she provided a lot of context on my remaining treatment. 10/10 - love her! I spoke to Kim after as planned since we had corresponded on the phone that there may have been an unexpected pause to my insurance plan. Ultimately, it was due to being a new year, and I needed to share updated insurance information since it was a different plan from the same provider (company offered different plans in the new year, which is not uncommon). This was where things went south. Kim looped in a lady which handled billing. I did not catch her name, but she was asked to help identify what insurance I currently have on file to see if I needed to share updated information. Her attitude was not received well - she was incredibly rude and seemed upset that she has to re-bill my insurance given this change. My treatment is taking longer than expected and I had a job change in 2025, so I had two insurances on file. She acted like it was an inconvenience and I had to stand up for myself and let her know that isn't something that is within my control. All I did was renew my coverage offered by my company, with the same provider in the new year. Its a shame given the rest of the staff have also been well liked by both my partner and I. It is quite ridiculous in that we are coming in to give you our business but receive this type of treatment. It just left a bad taste in my mouth.
