Working with owner Ron Call was a real pleasure, and we felt no pressure at all to "buy today." It turned out that his prices were reasonable and it was clear that he cares about quality work. We chose to pay a bit extra to have them move all furniture... Well worth it! We found carpeting for the family room and upper hallway, as well as a bedroom. It all looks great, and the installation of a complex patterned carpet was done expertly. We ran into one snag that was NOT the fault of Classic, but the manner in which Ron and his installer, Sean, handled it showed real integrity. Here's what happened: When Sean began the installation of the LVT for the kitchen flooring, he saw some slight scuffs in the finish (I might not have noticed them for months or years). The other boxes had the same problem. Owner Ron immediately ordered new product, but there were similar flaws. Ron asked the manufacturer to find perfect examples of what we needed, but no luck- it turned out to be a manufacturing flaw. Fortunately, he helped us find something similar from another manufacturer. The flooring was finally installed, and it's really elegant. My point is this- installer Sean and owner Ron wanted nothing less than perfection in the product we were buying. Trust me, they could easily have let it slide, and a lesser business might have done so. However, Classic really had our back and did everything possible to help us get the quality look we wanted. The flooring in the kitchen and all the new carpeting look spectacular. It's easy to leave a great review when everything falls into place perfectly. Sometimes, though, the true hallmark of a good business is how they handle things when something goes awry. Despite an issue that wasn't their fault, Classic Carpet took great care of us, and I highly recommend them.

He called Provia on my door and he told me that the door I was getting was not compatible so we had to switch. The previous guy was going to give me that door with the side lights. (Was it going to even work??) yeah so there was that. The appointment took minutes. We also talked about basement glass block windows. Their prices. Right on the sheet AND they were really good about 1/2 what I expected to pay. So I am going to do that too before the winter. Anyhow when all was said and done Window Universe was less than the guy I almost used and Lance double checked he got the proper sized windows and sidelights. Although I was concerned that much of their work, though seemingly well done, was all very similar and somewhat generic (all gray and white), I know that's trendy now, and I figured I'd seek some reassurance that individual (and more creative) tastes could be accommodated. I spoke to the project manager who was responsive enough ... at first. He asked what I was looking for in a contractor and explained the process from design to installation. Everything sounded exactly like what we were looking for. And then ... I asked what the average cost for an en suite bath was. I had already done my research, which revealed that the average cost ranges from $18,000 to $25,000 (according to HomeAdvisor). Because of supply issues, I expected Slabaugh's answer to be a bit higher, but I certainly did not expect the project manager to quote a cost double that! He told me that I could expect to pay just under $60,000! I should also note that this estimate was provided without actually seeing the space. When I expressed surprise by this number, I was NOT provided with any explanation. I wasn't told that supply chain issues had increased the cost by 100% or that they used only top tier materials. There was no explanation about paying subcontractors or difficulty in finding qualified workers. Instead, I could almost hear the shrug over the phone as the project manager said, "Maybe we're not the right fit for you," a comment I found dismissive and condescending." Even so, I suggested that maybe my husband and I could stop by the showroom. I was thinking that perhaps I could get a more satisfactory explanation in person. That's when I found out that's it's only open four days a week until 5 and not at all on weekends. As someone who has a job, I explained that those times didn't work with my schedule. "People work," I said. "What do they do?" He silently shrugged again. "They take the time off." So, if you're looking to spend $20,000 more than you have to, if you want want to be dismissed and condescended to, if you want to adjust your schedule to the company you're hiring, then this might be the company for you. I, on the other hand, found a much more pleasant company with which to work, whose quote (after seeing the space) has come in at between $30,000 and $40,000. The company is still very local and has an amazing showroom. So far, they've been easy to work with and they treat me like I actually matter.

Recently I was looking for luxury vinyl plank that is waterproof. I have gone from place to place all over the area and their service was probably the best. I didn't end up purchasing from there and that was only because I found exactly what I wanted somewhere else. The service and the information they provided was really fantastic. They encourage you to take samples home which is exactly what I did. Their show room is much bigger than you'd think so don't look them over for your flooring needs!

Contract was signed with My Elite Bath Jan 6, 2026, which I gave them $18, 500 check project didn't…read morestart until March 2, 2026 and I had called to find out why it was taking so long. After project started they wanted more funds "to pay the contractors" so another check was given to them 3/13/26 for 14,500 (which was more than the contract was, and overpayment of $656 dollars)...overpayment never refunded. After 2/3 of the project was done, Greg Gamache wanted another payment "to pay his contractors:... which was a final payment of $13, 844 dated 4/24/26. Project was "stalled" for over 3 weeks, and I had multiple texts asking when it would be complete. I was gone from my home when the contractor entered my home illegally and took paperwork in my kitchen, showing what needed to be complete. He then became abusive on text messages to me and others. The project has yet to be completed, with damage done to my ceiling, flooring, and yard by the contractor. A list of items: failing to insert shelves and pull outs in multiple areas, causing un-leveling of flooring with overlay, poor paint work, chipped cabinets, grout work incomplete, etc. Many others have given Greg Gamache & Dylan Atkinson funds for a project, and they never showed up to complete the project. Greg Gamache has failed to provide a list of costs for items, warranty on products, and a detailed receipt of all work done, and does not pull needed permits by the state. He's been evasive along with his partner Dylan Atkinson, and have been aggressive in current texts. Mr. Gamache has in the past and recently, have taken funds from other innocent women and families, he never comes back to compete a project. Most of these Victims are also filing claims. I live in fear of this contractor. He has been reported to the Ohio Attorney General, Stark County Prosecutors, Canton Ohio Detectives (under active investigation), Canton Building Permits, BBB.
