We just purchased our 2nd vechicle from Thompson. When I walked through the door I knew exactly who I wanted to talk to. Brandon Martz helped my husband and I when we purchased a Cargo Van for our business about 6 months ago. When we walked out we felt we got the best service a person could get. This time I went alone to puchase a vechicle for myself. I had no idea what I wanted except for the fact I wanted luxury and good gas milage. Brandon had nothing to go by except for that. He was wonderfully patient and worked extremely hard to find me just what I wanted. Brandon is very knowledgable about all the vehicles. By time he explained everything to me and anwsered all my questions, I felt confident in making the right decision. During the process I had to call back and forth to my husband, I had several work calls and my daughter got lost while driving in Springfield, which Brandon got on the phone with and steered her through Springfield to the dealership. The whole time he was smiling and never showed one sign of being in a hurry or trying to push us through to get to another customer. By the time all the paper work was done, (by the way our finance person was Mr. Wood and he was wonderful also.) the store had closed. Brandon stayed until almost 9pm explaining the car features and helping us remove our items from the vehicle we traded in. The first time Brandon worked with us, we walked away feeling like we had just been sold a vehicle by an EXCELLENT PERSON (not a sales-man). This time when I walked out I knew I had been sold a vehicle by and EXCELLENT PERSON as well as making a GOOD TRUSTED FRIEND. I have purchased several cars in my life, 4 in the last few years, 2 that have been from 2 other big name Springfield dealerships. My wife and I just bought a used 2012 Chevy Impala from Thompson yesterday. It was a great experience. Adam Ragan was the dealer that helped us and he was very patient and answered every question we had. We had been considering a new car for almost a year now and finally reached a point where we were ready. I found the car on their website over the weekend and just put my email in to receive information about it. I wasnt expecting a reply for a couple days but within minutes had an email directly from a live person and Adam followed within the hour with a phone call about the details. We test drove it on Saturday and they were very patient since we wanted to take the weekend to think about it. I never felt any of the high pressure that car dealers are known for. I would definitely recommend them and will return when it is time for our next vehicle. The only feedback I would say is they forgot to check the tire pressure. Within 24 hours all 4 tires set off the low pressure warning on the dashboard. But that is an easy thing for me to fix and am still very satisfied. read more

My husband and I went to Thompson's Cadillac , GMC and Buick to look at the 2018 Buick Envisions Preferred and talked to David Howard on Monday the 19th of Feb. We told him I would be back on Tuesday at 8:30 am. I arrived at 8:30 and we started the paperwork. The sale price on the Buick was 29,450.00 but when he showed me the papers it came up as 32,992.00 I told him the sale sticker said 29,450.00 and he agreed he went out and took the sticker to the manager David Russell. He came over and said that was the wrong price and the sale price on the Preferred was 32,992.00 and he would not give me the car at that price. His exact words were " You can go somewhere else and buy it" Did not say he was sorry about the incorrect price on the car and was just down right rude. I will never return to Thompson again. What has happened to the customer is always right??? Sure wasn't my fault someone put the wrong sale sticker on the car. We will no longer service our Cadillac or our other vehicles at this establishment. read more

First, you have a great dealership. Very customer friendly and very professional yet you are greeted as if you were the likeable next door neighbor. Nice! For the last five years my son has bought cars and trucks from Adam Ragan. He has been the BEST. He is more interested in a person getting the best vehicle they can for their budget then just selling them anything.. I like the fact he is true to his word and not pushy. His "after Sale" inquiry to see how the new owner is doing and is there anything he can do to help them with all the new "Gadgets" you need to learn about is fantastic. Randy in the service department was AMAZING! I brought my car in thinking that it just needed a new crank sensor. After looking it over the mechanic found that the wiring between the sensor and the computer was messed up. After fixing the wiring issue my car would still not start. After analyzing it more they figured out that I had a full tank of contaminated gas. Randy kept in touch with me to let me know where they were at with my vehicle, and when the services were complete Randy and a couple other team members gave me the information I needed for the gas station where I got the bad gas. When I came back to the service department to get paperwork filled out for the claim against the gas station Randy was again very helpful and showed GREAT customer service skills. I would not take my car ANYWHERE but Thompson's based on this and my previous experience with them. Keep up the great work!! read more

Our experience at Thompson's was top notch. We were just about to finalize a deal with another dealership, but decided to stop into Thompson's first. We are so glad we did! The buying process was simple, no pressure, and everyone we interacted with was great. Jace Brinkley was our Sales person. Jace took time to walk us through any details we wanted to know, and was patient and willing to help through the whole process. He even followed up after the sale - just to check in! We've bought from another dealership in town a few years back and most definitely did not have this experience. Mike Wood was also a huge help through the process. Truly the best experience I've ever had at a repair center. Debbie at reception was incredibly nice (wonderful personality) and always seemed happy to hear from me, though I called multiple times! Bobby, the service manager, showed true concern for my issues, and was really patient with me on a stubborn electrical issue to the point where I was convinced he actually cared about me personally! I was under a time crunch with a road trip days away, but not only did he make feel like I wasn't being a hassle, he took care of me quicker than I requested! After a mis-diagnosis from another mechanic, he figured my problem out and solved it perfectly. I also had extensive body work done as I was in a t-bone collision, and it looks and drives like a brand new car. I truly cannot say enough about my experience with Thompson, only that I wish I had been taking my vehicles to them all along. read more

We have always hated the 'car shopping' experience. That is until we stopped at Thompson. We were not attacked the minute we stepped out of our car. We weren't pressured in any way. This was THE most pleasant car shopping experience we have ever had. John Bryant was exceptional! He was personable, polite, and NOT pushy. We recently purchased a new GMC 2500HD from Thompson Buick GMC. This was an out of state purchase for us, we live in Mississippi 500 miles away and Jace made the entire experience outstanding. I drove over 8 hours to buy what this dealer had listed as a new vehicle. Once I got back to my state, I was told I was not eligible for a tax credit on my trade in because the vehicle was previously titled by the dealer. I'm now out a significant amount of money because of a technicality and think that this dealer should have made me aware that the truck was previously titled and would be considered a used vehicle upon licensing. I'm now out all of the taxe money previously paid on my trade in. I guess that will teach me to do business out of state. To their credit, they did try to assist with the title office in my home state but I still feel cheated. read more
